Naru POV
Okay, just five days to go, I can do this. I mean she can survive, five more days without me right? But the uneasy feeling in my gut told me I was dead wrong.
Mai POV
No no no no, please this isn't true this can't be true, I turned around and ran through the forest of dead bodies, as I ran I knew it was futile. I could hear him from all sides of me. Then I knew that I was in his playground, he rules here, I can do nothing, but that does not stop me from running through the forest, praying Naru will come and save me
Monk POV
We as a group decided that we would call Naru and tell him that Mai had...Passed. I slowly traced the numbers on my phone, before putting a little pressure on the right ones to type in Narus number. It rang and rang, and I realized I was holding my breath hoping he would not pick up the phone, just as I was about to hang up, he picked up.
"Hello?"Naru said, his voice impatiant.
"Hi, um..This is Monk." I said hoping to stall.
"Yes I figure, I have caller Id." Naru said, in the same voice that always makes me want to punch him
"Yes well, I just have to tell you something and then you can get back to your important things that you do." I said my voice still steady.
"Yes well? Out with it, I have not got all day." He said his voice growing more impatient.
"You see, Well, umm-" he interrupted me.
"Does this have something to do about Mai?' he asked, and I froze nearly dropping the phone.
"Why do you ask?" I asked trying to disguise my voice
"Nothing really, just didn't want to be bothered with trivial matters." He said. I started at the phone, I was hoping he cared about her, and wanted to make sure she was okay. I should have known better.
"I am sorry to bother you . I thought you would want to know something about this trivial matter, but I can see now that I was wrong, goodbye sir." I said with as much malis as I could. I hung up the phone. Or so I thought.
Naru POV
Well that could have gone better. What did he want to tell me? I was about to put my phone in my pocket when I realized the call had not ended. I turned the volume up on my phone so I could hear better.
Monk POV
As I hung up the phone I set it down on the table and looked into my hands. How could I have been foolish enough to think he cared about her?
"Why mai? Why did you leave?" I said tears started streaming down my face.
Naru POV
What? What is he talking about? When did Mai leave? Why would Mai leave? I looked at the clock, Just five more days, please Mai let me save you.
Third person POV
"We need to pick up the pace, this needs to be going faster. Tell Shin to get her now!"

Me: *glares*
