FINAL Chapter

17 years later...Canterlot, Pony Kingdom, Equestria continent...Late afternoon...

Princess Twilight felt uncomfortable with the silence and tension as she waited in spacious room that has been rearranged as the meeting room along with the number of royal and diplomat from several races: King Scharf (the successor after King Skarp died from old age) from the Griffon Kingdom, Princess Cadence from the Crystal Empire, King Helio from the Horse Sovereignty, Emperor Ergon the Minotaur Dominion, Prime Minister Loxia the Gargoyle Republic, and Prime Minister Hades from the Centaur Republic. Along with the Royal Guards and other guards from their factions, they are waiting for the last party before they could start the meeting. A meeting that could have tremendous impact on whole Gaia, though it is unknown whether the impact will be positive or negative.

It has been 11 years since the war waged the invasive Pokemon race unofficially ended and 13 years since the bloodiest Battle of Gyiothage with its river filled with the Centaur blood followed by the Centaurs' vengeance in form of extremely powerful and expensive bomb ever constructed by any race. Designated as the 'Hellish Death' and carried by the Gargoyle Aviation Force, the bomb has caused countless death of Pokemon along with those were waging a siege on the Pokemon home in the valley located between the Centaur and the Dragon land. Every single one has died a slow and agonizing death. The after-effect of Hellish Death has spread beyond the waste and reached to the number of closest cities and towns as well as Pokemon and animal habitats.

It was the main reason for the sacking of Centaur Ascendancy and Gargoyle Dominion with the citizens who have armed themselves and stormed the building with help from the Minotaurs, Griffons, and Horses. They took over the government and installed the Centaurs and Gargoyles who are more 'friendly' in charge while the previous ruling parties either died by mob's riot or in 'accidents'. The other reasons were that the cost of war against the Pokemon was undeniably higher than 9 Years War and the amount of destruction and death caused by the natives and the Pokemon, caused problem with sustainability.

The war has slowly declined into nothing but skirmishes and raids between both sides that continued for four years and afterward, tensed silence until the Pony Communication Department Domestic got contacted via radio by a frequency that belong to a supposedly inoperable radio tower located in Las Pegasus, a two level city that has been claimed by the Pokemon invaders of Orange Sky Canyon Assembly as their own base. The Ponies were surprised to hear an unidentified Pokemon's voice spoken in broken Common Tongue: "We tired. Pointless fight. Fight bad. You tired? Talk yes?"

Off course, the head director contacted the military and the officers were surprised and skeptical when the unknown voice repeated what it said earlier along with "Yes talk. We come. You come. Together. Talk." The military ordered the Communication Department to put the Las Pegasus frequency on ignored list. Two days later, the Pony Communication Department received a mail that was addressed to them and got into uproar upon learning that it was from Las Pegasus. As with the radio, the message was poorly written in broken Common Tongue with "We write. We come. You come. Talk yes? Respond yes?" as the first written line. It was unknown how did a supposedly Pokemon deposit the mail into the mailbox. Once again, the higher ups ordered the communication department's postal department not to open any future mail from Las Pegasus as the mail could be done by some pranksters pretending to be the Pokemon in Las Pegasus. The military then told the communication department not to say anything about Las Pegasus.

One week later, the communication department got contacted via radio by Edgemane Fort communication officer who reported in incredulous tone about the number of Ponies who were thought to be dead when the Pony military was forced to abandon Las Pegasus. They reported that the missing Ponies claimed that the Pokemon let them go. As before, the military higher ups got involved and after receiving confirmations from the officers in Edgemane Fort, they decided to notify Princess Twilight.

Casually levitated a fancy cup of water, Princess Twilight took a sip before thinking about memory. She remembered that upon being notified about how the Pokemon in Las Pegasus made contact via radio and postal mail along with mention of supposedly dead Ponies, she was upset, skeptical, and excited at the same time. She immediately ordered the communication department to contact Las Pegasus upon arriving into the radio room. It took a while until the radio made various sounds, ranging from buzzing to guttural noises before speaking in broken Common Tongue, "We hear. We glad. You call. Talk yes?"

She remembered how excited she got about hearing Pokemon from the radio and spoke her first word to them, "Yes."

She has sent Spike the large purple wingless dragon along with several Pony soldiers to Edgemane Fort where Spike and a Pony infantry battalion marched to Las Pegasus. It took seven hours before she received a message via Spike's fire about how the Pokemon let them into Las Pegasus without a fight. Spike has described Las Pegasus as a forest growing out of the buildings. Since then, the Ponies and the Pokemon in Las Pegasus communicated with each other. A week later, Princess Twilight received the letter from the Griffon Kingdom. Apparently, the Pokemon didn't communicate with just Ponies but also the Griffons, Crystal Ponies, and Zebras. It was Princess Twilight who called for diplomatic meeting and has invited King Scharf and others along with the Las Pegasus Pokemon.

Here she is, sitting at her own table shared by King Scharg and Princess Cadence, waiting for the large majestic doors to open. The door opened with a Royal Guard announcing the arrival of Pokemon from Las Pegasus.

"It's about time." King Scharf, a golden head bluish body Griffon who's sitting next to Princess Twilight, muttered.

Princess Twilight, along with others, stared as six Pokemon of various species slowly walked in as they were expecting to be attacked. The one leading them lookl ike a cream-colored lion except its head look like domesticated cat with golden coin (?) on forehead. On its back is a strange looking bird with musical note on head. Behind a cat Pokemon is a Pokemon whose body resembled black dress with four white bows on front and a head with strange hair style a pair of light blue eyes. The fourth Pokemon is intimidating looking bipedal brown reptile with skull exposed without skin covering it.

Next to it is floating bulky clay statue-like creature with multiple reddish pink eyes and yellow bead. To the Alicorn princess, it look like bunch of owls mashing their head together. Behind owl faces statue Pokemon is purple monkey with two noticeable tails with hand-like appendages at the end. All six Pokemon stopped before the table that is unoccupied.

Smiling, Princess Twilight stood and cleared her throat, catching attention of room occupants, before she began to speak in friendly tone.

"I would like to say, welcome to Canterlot. I am Princess Twilight, the current ruler of the Pony Kingdom."

She looks at Princess Cadence, who nodded and introduced herself, "I am Princess Cadence of the Crystal Empire."

One by one, the room occupants introduced themselves before it was the Pokemon's turn. A musical note bird hopped off cat Pokemon onto the table, pointed its blue wing to itself, "Me Stonng. Chaatok!"

Because it spoke in broken Common Tongue with strange accent, Princess Twilight wasn't sure if the bird meant to say 'Song', 'Stong' with t in it, or something else. By judging the voice, she thought Stong is either female or soft male.

Stong (Song the Chatot) pointed at cat Pokemon and blurted, "Fiiine Cleean. Peerrrgian." Fine Clean the Persian nodded as to say hello.

"Streeet Starrr. Gootheeetella." Sweet Star the Gothitelle made feminine sound at this, "Unnn..coon ooo roon."

"Baagshmaagsh. Maarr-OH-waak!" Bashmash the Marowak stood next to Sweet Star. It made guttural sounds, "Ulk! Gralk waak." Completely different sound, compared to Sweet Star.

"Brrraa-ANG! Claydool." Brain the Claydol just simply hovered like motionless statue and made deep voice sound, "Goo-unnnn vrruuuuun. Hmmmmmmm...Goon."

"Klaaaa-AAP! Ammbeebom!" Clap the Ambipom waved two hand-tails and chirped.

"We da Pokemon. We Orrrang Ska Plan Asssseeblee. Talk yes?" With that, Stong (Song?) spread his/her wings wide before the room. The silence appeared with the room occupants just staring at them.

Two years later...

Princess Twilight and Princess Cadence both smiled as they stood behind a podium before the Canterlot citizens that erupted in cheer after Princess Twilight announced that the war is officially over. It took two years for the Pokemon from Orange Sky Plain Assembly to spread the news about somewhat successful diplomatic meeting via psychic links with the Psychic-type Pokemon around the world and to persuade the other Assemblies not to attack the natives on sight. The same with the Pony Kingdom and other nations. There are still those who want to continue the campaign against the Pokemon.

It is unknown how long will the peace last between the natives and the Pokemon, but Princess Twilight hoped it will last for long time. The world does not need another destructive war.

Author: Yes, I know. It has been long time since last chapter. I didn't want to leave it incomplete. I was sort of conflicted on how to progress this story. I originally going to do three chapters that take place in Indomitia, and three to seven chapters per continent and/or race while doing couple kinds of battles before ending this story with either Pokemon or the natives as the victors. But, decided to make final chapter to end this story with Pokemon and the natives entering somewhat fragile peace.
