Chapter 10: date night and a weapon nut lost.
Sage's Reading Room
Pyrrha was staring at Ozpin, trying to will him to answer her question. After a few minutes Sage enters the room looking like he fought a tornado and just barely won. His face and hands with stained with what they hoped was oil. "It's ready! Get them in the right attire." He proclaimed. With that Blake and Yang frog march Pyrrha away ignoring her protests. Jaune was given the same treatment by Ren and Ozpin. "Wiess, Ruby get to the finishing touches down and wait for the signal." Sage barked and they nodded and rushed to the dialed door.
One hour later...
Jaune was waiting in the reading room in a simple tux that had his symbol on the breast pocket. "Why do I need a tux?" Ren didn't answer and gave him a bunch of flowers. Looking at them he saw that it was red and yellow roses. "What-?" Before he could finish Pyrrha entered the room and she took his breath away. She was wearing a strapless dress that matched her hair. It had faint sparkle to it and it was modest yet accommodated her natural beauty. She had red heels and around her neck was a a gold chain with an emerald that twinkled in the light. He notice that she had a light eye shadow that wasn't needed in his opinion but it was nice all the same.
"Hey. Ugh. I." He was tongue tied and was blushing deeply. Pyrrha was blushing too but she asked "are those for me?" gesturing to the flowers. He handed them to her "they are lovely, thank you." Linking arms she guided him to the dialed door.
The dials were set to what looked like a table , the no monster setting and a moon. When they enter they found it was a restaurant. Sage was dressed as a waiter "Table for two?" They nod "right this way" he guides them to a table that had a wide window that had a view on a lake and the moon was shining in the starry sky. As they sit Sage states "Normally you'd order but your friend chipped in to make a home cooked meal to show they care." this shocked them. "I will be back with the food." he left.
A minute later he set two plates before them. The food wasn't five star quality but it smelled good. It was grilled salmon with wild rice and steamed vegetables on the side. Smiling they picked up their forks. Sage calls out "Atalanta hit the switch!" The chick peeped and jumped on a switch. Then a five robots that looked like zora got on stage and started to play.

Sage departs after saying "Enjoy your meal."
They looked nerves as they ate. It was Jaune that broke the ice "So why did you pick me? I'm not famous and I cheated my way into the school. I didn't even realise who you were til Wiess mentioned Pumpkin Pete's Marshmallow Flakes."
Pyrrha paused before answering "oh Jaune. That exactly why. You didn't see me as 'the Invincible Girl' or as 'the three time champion'. You saw me as Pyrrha Nikos." She smiles sadly "It's not a happy life when you're put on a pedestal. They expect only the best and they will drop you if you fail even for a moment." Jaune takes this in "Then why live that life at all?" Pyrrha's smile was even sadder "My parents raised me to be the best. I didn't want to disappoint them." Jaune nods "makes sense." sighing "I guess that my dream was a little short sighted." Pyrrha looks at him questioningly.
He looked at the sky "I wanted to be a hero because my family was so great and I wasn't. It was shallow reasoning." He smiles "But I changed that reason. I'll be a hero so my friends and family can depend on me."
"oh Jaune. You are my hero." Pyrrha says taking his hand. Smiling "shall we dance?" As they got to the dance floor Wiess made ice monsters appear in couples and start to dance. It made Jaune and Pyrrha laugh seeing a Wizrobe and a mobabiln dancing together. As they settled into the mood Ruby made petals drift down. It was perfect. As the song came to an end they dipped and shared a deep kiss.

Sage's Reading room
Aafter the date was over everyone was in their seats. Sage asked "how was it? We worked hard to make you're first date as good as possible." Smiling the couple just nodded. "Can I tinker with weapon now?" Ruby piped in excitedly Sage handed her the key to the work shop that had an armory connected to it. She zoomed in there. Yang comments "You know she's not coming out for a while, right?" Sage shrugs "She'll come out when she's hungry. Maybe. I hope." The flat looks he got told him that she was not coming out til she's ready and only then. Looking sheepish "Oops."
