A/N: Yooo! Hey guys, it's been a long long time! Thanks and sorry for waiting, though. A lot's been happening so.. Yeah. Took a break from writing my other fic.
important note: Riza and Hailey moved in to Roy's house. I didn't include the whole moving scene cause it's not that entertaining.
Roy woke up unexpectedly early the next morning. He managed to sneak out and avoided waking up his fiancee as he dressed up.
He smiled to himself. Fiancee. It had a nice ring to it. Literally and not literally. After a few months, fiancee would be transformed to wife. For a second there he could never imagine marrying the girl of his dreams. The girl who used to be a stranger, and was a mere daughter of his mentor. The girl who faithfully stayed even when he had dozens of women before her. The girl who swore eternity, loyalty and a willful trip to hell just to be with him.
He used to search for the right one, hence the million dates. Although he never realized the right one has been by his side all this time.
Roy chuckled under his breath and tucked his hands inside his jacket pockets. He shook his thoughts back to reality a little too late, for he bumped shoulders with a passerby.
"Ah- I'm sorry, sir," Roy apologized to the man.
"'Tis okay," the man responded, as if nothing happened.
Roy watched as the mysterious man tilted his hat and turned his back to Roy. Roy scrunched his face.
"That's weird. He looked kinda creepy," he said to himself, shrugging as he said so. It was better to forget about it anyway.
Roy purchased a brand new handgun he knew Riza always blabbed about. It was a gun she knew she could never buy with her lieutenant's salary, but she never once thought of making Roy buy it for her. She was just not that kind of person. But still, she wanted one.
"Here you go, Mustang." said the clerk, handing a case. "For Hawkeye again, I assume?"
Roy rolled his eyes playfully, taking the case. "Who else, Peter? It should have been obvious by now."
"Never thought of that." Peter chuckled. Roy joined him until a new customer arrived.
"Oh welcome, sir, how may I help you?" Peter asked the customer. Roy twisted his head to look at the man. His eyebrows shot up when he saw that he was the same guy from earlier.
The man wore a beige trench coat reaching up to 5 inches above his ankles, black gloves, dark tinted shades, a hat with the same color as his coat, black shoes, and a huge amount of layers of sweaters underneath the coat. His stature was large, and he reminded Roy of Santa Clause.
Without a word, the man placed his own case on top of the counter beside Roy. He clicked open the lock and unveiled the contents.
Roy and Peter's eyes almost jumped out of the sockets. The gun was magnificent and rare! And rare meant something expensive.
"Woah, dude, that's a total jewel you got there." Peter admired the gun. "There's none of those pretty babies in Amestris. So, is that from Xing?"
The mysterious man answered with a curt nod. "I'd like to buy some 9mm bullets for this." He said in a clearly Xingese accent, taking out his ID for confirmation.
Roy continued to stare at the man, and couldn't help but think there was something weird about him. An aura of malice and danger was what he could feel from the man. And on top of that, he had a badass high quality gun on his side. It would be better not to mess with him. Roy took a mental note that he would warn Riza about the man.
Roy was still deep in thought about the man. He really had a bad feeling about him, he just couldn't put his finger on it.
"Sir, excuse me," a lady said to Roy.
Unfortunately, Roy was too much thinking about the man that he couldn't notice his surroundings.
"Excuse me sir, here's the flowers you bought," She patted his shoulder, and he shook his thoughts back to reality.
"Hmm? Ah- I'm sorry. Thanks." He said, taking the bouquet. Suddenly, his phone rang from his jacket pocket.
"Hello?"
"Roy, just where in the corners of Amestris are you?" Shit. It was Riza. And she sounded really upset.
"Oh hi love, I just came out for fresh air. I hope I didn't worry you." He replied, then after a long pause he sighed.
"Roy, is there something wrong?"
"Huh- of course not!" He chuckled. "I'll be home in a while."
Riza opened the main door to let Roy in. To her much surprise, Roy stood there holding a bouquet of fresh flowers. He had a goofy smirk on his face which she immediately returned.
"Flowers for the fiancée?" Roy grinned as he handed her the bouquet. Riza chuckled and shook her head in amusement and closed the door behind them. Before she could respond, Roy pushed her against the main door and took her lips into his. Riza kissed her back for a while, then pulled away to chuckle even more.
Giving another final peck on the lips, Roy chuckled with her. "Good morning."
"Roy, what's this all of a sudden?" Riza smiled and cupped his right cheek.
"Nothing, really. I just wanted to buy flowers for my love." He winked at her. Riza scoffed playfully and pushed him off of her while laughing. She's a sucker for his charms, that's why.
"I'll put these in a vase." She said, going to the kitchen to rummage for some glass vase.
Roy placed the case containing the climax of his presents on the couch. When he did so, his little princess came down from the stairs looking like she just woke up from her nap.
Hailey yawned as sa rubbed a half-open eye. Her hair was all over the place and her pink pajamas were disheveled, but for Roy, she still looked like an angel. When Hailey caught sight of her father, all the drowsiness had worn off.
"Daddy!" She squealed and raced towards him. Roy grinned and caught her in his arms and lifted her up.
"Good morning, little lady. How was your sleep?" Roy asked her, combing her blonde locks with his fingers.
"It was okay."
"Well, do you know what would make your morning even better?"
Hailey's eyes lit up. "What?"
"Look what daddy bought you!" He announced, pointing to another little bouquet of pink roses.
Hailey squealed in delight and got down from Roy's arms to get the flowers. She hugged them tightly in her stubby arms and smiled brighter than the sun. "Thank you, daddy!" She squealed once more.
Riza came back from the kitchen now holding a vase half-filled with water and the flowers arranged in it. "What's going on in here?"
"Mommy, daddy bought me flowers too!" Hailey showed her mother cheerfully. "And it's pink!"
Riza chuckled lightly and then settled the vase on the nearest end table. She got Hailey's bouquet and placed it on another vase beside her own. Roy had a smirk plastered to his face the entire time.
"Seriously Roy, why are you doing these all of a sudden?" Riza asked suspiciously, but she was rather very amused.
Roy realized she wouldn't stop unless he told her so. He sighed and gathered his queen and princess in his arms. "I want to take you girls on a date tonight. Would that be okay?"
"And where would we be going?" Riza asked.
"That's a secret." Roy's face turned smug.
A/N: Woops, I have to cut it here for now. I'll post the next chapter very soon enough, don't worry.
Any predictions on the next events? Hope you got them right, though!
