Chapter 10

"Name?"

"Sakura."

"Full name?"

"Sakura, no last name."

At this comment, the Hokage raised one of his eyebrows and then eyes from the paperwork in front of him, the figure in front of him hadn't remove her hood from her cloak so he didn't even know what she looked like, though it was an but weird to see someone in a full length dress, not many people still had that style in clothing anymore.

Did he really wanted someone like this to be able to walk in his village? Of course Kakashi had said that she was an good asset but could that be a ploy to get into the village? Also, he didn't know how comfortable he felt by letting her near Naruto who contained that nine-tail beast or near Sasuke as well, one of the last of the Uchiha. Her intentions must be in the right place otherwise she could destroy them all.

"Very well, Sakura."

He said testing the name on his tongue as if it could make his mind come to an conclusion, it's not every day someone wants to become an ninja for the hidden leaf village.

"Date of birth?"

"Pass."

"Pass?"

this was getting silly now and it was annoying him, did she think that it's an joke?

"Her birthday was last week, sir and she's 11."

Kakashi voice from the back of the room and behind his orange book ran out, he could tell that the Hokage was getting furious with her non-answers, but he needed her for his team, for the exams he told himself, not because somehow he feels that he will need her in the future.

"Thank you Kakashi."

You could hear the words "doesn't know what spoilers are" muttered under Sakura breath, of course she wants to be in the village but she can't give too much away about who she is.

"Origin."

"Pass."

"Sakura, I need to know where you are from in order to get all the paperwork sorted, I don't have all day. It's either this or I take you down to interrogation and get the information from you that way. I don't know if your an threat or not. So play nice and give me the information I need."

The Hokage started to shout but in the end it turned into an kind of an beg, with an sigh he looked at Kakashi who just shook his head no.

"Very well."

The Hokage said reaching to the intercom to press the button to speak to his secretary "Can you send Anko-san up please…" however was interrupted in what he was saying when he heard Sakura talking.

"Please, don't send anyone up here. It's just I can't tell you stuff from my past to not only protect the village but also myself. For the last two years I have been running away from my past and I can't let my past find me now."

Sakura bowed her head slightly "If you cannot accept me as it is then I will have to leave. Thank you for your time. Kakashi."

She bowed her head and in return received an nod of the head as well as a two finger goodbye though his lone eye betrayed him with a look of sadness, that he actually care for her.

"Wait" the Hokage said, removing his hand from the intercom "We can come to some sort of arrangement. You will have to be loyal not only to the village but to your teammates. Meaning whenever the situation arise you must protect them with your last breath, even if it means going against what this village stands for."

Naruto will need some support from the village for example the council

"Also you cannot leave the village for an time period in which you will be tested for how loyal you are to the village, the time period will end when Kakashi believes you are loyal enough. Finally you will give me or Kakashi not only the information that you can provide for this paperwork but any threats that may come after you. So what do you say Sakura, Deal?"

"Deal."

"Very well, so lets deal with the paperwork first, Origin, Unknown. Features?"

"I will show you however in my situation it may not be wise to put it down incase you have an insider or if someone get's their hands on the paperwork"

Reaching up with one hand she whipped the hood from her face showing the Hokage her features, her pink hair as well as the white blindfold, then after 30 seconds raised the hood back on.

"You can always put that I'm short." which they both could see was her way of saying an joke, stating the obvious.

"Reason why in the village?" Even though they all knew why she was there without any of the details it gave Sakura an chance to put down an reason why if someone else looked at the paperwork.

"Kakashi found me on the way to an mission where he believe that someone with my potential would need proper ninja village than staying in an civilian village who had no way of teaching me the ways of an ninja."

It was an good lie, it had part of the truth in it and if anyone looked at the mission debrief for Team 7 to the Lands of Waves then it would match up.

"Last Question: are you going to become an civilian or ninja?"

"I think that the answer to that question is obvious."

"Welcome to the Konoha, Sakura."

In another area in Konoha

"Nii-San, I'm back"

Sasuke said when entering the main house of the Uchiha complex, he just lives there with his brother now however his mother and father use to live here until 5 years ago when one night someone killed everyone leaving some elders who where away when the incident happen and his brother and himself due to his brother murdering the killer when they came home from eating out. It was the first time he had seen death up close and personal and fuelled his anger against outsiders.

"O'Tou how was your mission"

Itachi replied with an small smile on his face,coming out from the kitchen where he was preparing some miso soup. He had his hair placed into an small ponytail, he looked like an older version of Sasuke though had two lines on his faces from stress due to becoming an clan leader (though there was not much of an clan left) and being an ninja; intact he had just returned from an mission as one of the elite ANBU team 1. He had missed his brother as the house seemed too quite without him.

"It was successful however the dobe was annoying the whole way and we brought someone back with us. I don't like her."

"Sasuke you know that you have to be nice to everyone, even if the girl is an fan girl." Sighing, it felt like that he has had this conversation time and time again, his brother just didn't understand why some girls were fan girls.

"But she not an fan girl, my looks have no effects on her. They can't anyway. She just annoys me so much, even more than the dobe, saying comments that make me seem stupid, sitting on my sleeping mat as if it was hers"

Sasuke was force to stop his rant when he felt Itachi flick his forehead which produced an whine from the younger brother however he would never admit that he did whine.

"Sasuke, give her an chance. She maybe using her tongue to protect herself from becoming to attach to people just like we use non-proper words. Do not judge before getting the full picture. Now tell me what the real issue is with this girl."

In an commanding voice only an brother could make, however it did give some thought about his opinion about the girl they found.

"Well, her name is Sakura, she just turned 11 and she been living in the wild for an long time. She can kill easily, she nearly killed the dobe, not that I'm complaining if she did. She's not in the bingo books but is very high up in system for people like her?"

"people like her?" Itachi said wanting to know more about who would be spending a lot of time with his brother which he was very protective of.

"Yeah - murderers. Cold blooded killers."

Signing Itachi put his hand on Sasuke head, ruffling it slightly before speaking "Sasuke, some ninjas have to kill, it makes them murderers but they do it because for their village. Do you not think this is the same for her? She may be doing it because she has to and not because she likes it."

Muttering to himself before agreeing with his brother, he swatted away his brother hand to redo his hair.

"Can I meet them? Your teammates? I wish to know whose hands you will be in."

Though it did not seemed like an question but rather an command, Sasuke nodded before going upstairs to his room to put his clothes away before shaving something to eat. All the while, Itachi shook his head to himself before serving some soup up for himself, leaving some for Sasuke. He didn't know who this girl was and wanted to find out, to see whether she was an threat or not but if she was. He would warn her before taking any actions.

"Do you have anywhere that you sleep?"

"No, but can I use an old training ground? One that's not being used for I can set up there."

"Well, wouldn't you want to live in an apartment."

"Not really Hokage, there's too much charka around here. It makes it hard to focus sometimes."

"Very well, Kakashi would you mind showing Sakura here training ground 45."

"The one next to the Forest of Death?"

"That's the one, I hope it will be enough for you."

"Thank you Hokage."

Naruto was sitting by his window, looking out into the night sky. Tears filled his eyes. As he was walking back to his apartment all proud, he saw everyone whispering things about him, he knew what he was yet it still hurt.

"What an monster!"

"Don't let your child near that beast!"

"They still let him be an ninja! How can we trust him?"

"DEMON!"

"I thought he had gone and killed himself, what an shame."

He was not the monster, he told himself chanting it to justify it in his mind He was the hero, who saved everyone. And one day when he becomes Hokage everyone will acknowledge it. Just like they did in the village in the Land of Waves. He was an hero.

These thoughts allowed him to get ready for bed, allowing the tears fall down his face, one last time.

Although he did not know of the future events that would make him break that promise. Over and over again.

Sakura was content, she had manage to saved lives and be able to run away. Now she was in an place that may accept her.

She doubted it.

But one can only hope.

Kakashi had volunteered to show her where she would be living now, however the good thing was that they didn't really speak, they didn't need to. He was in thoughts, though pretended he was reading an book (he had not turn an page in 10 minutes) and she was in hers.

What would have happened if they left later? Or if she didn't meet the Konoha ninja's?

But she was grateful at the protection the village would give her in the mean time.

It was an short walk from the Hokage tower, though it did take an bit longer as Kakashi showed her where the market was, where the training ground was and the bridge they all meet up at.

"Well here it is. I will see you tomorrow, training starts at 7, meet us at the bridge. Ja ne."

And with that Kakashi poof out of existence, leaving Sakura to her new home where she in the middle of the training ground, unrolled an scroll which revealed an wooden cabin. It was only an small one room with an wide porch that covered the entrance, when she entered, she could smell the pine. In an corner was her black bed, next to it was an set of draws which contained all of her clothes. The opposite side of the cabin to her bed was another door that lead to the bathroom. To the right of her was an couple of seats surrounding an wooden coffee table and to the left was some sort of small kitchen with the bare essentials.

It may not be much but it was home for her.

Smiling an small, full of emotions smile, she took off her hood and look into what she knew was hers. "I'm home."

So that's the end of this chapter. Next one will contain Sakura meeting Itachi and Gaara and maybe the first part of the chunnin exams. Also I have started to edited some of the previous chapters, currently only chapter 1 has been edited but I am editing chapter 2 as we speak. Hope you enjoyed it.
