Chapter 10: The Fight
Percy's PoV
I woke up with a weight on my chest and a massive hangover. I managed to make out the auburn hair of Artemis on my bare chest. Her eyelids covered her beautiful silver eyes. I studied the peaceful expression on her face as she slept. She was by far the most beautiful goddess in every aspect from external to internal. She made my life worth living because she was worth dying for and if the dream I just experienced was accurate I would be acting on it.
I brushed her hair gently behind her ear to reveal a trail of hickeys along her neck.
I groaned quietly as the memories of last night rushed back to me in a extremely sharp pain. The singing, drinking, kissing, dancing, flashing to my palace and passing out in my bed. I recalled decking Ares when he tried to cut in and shattering his jaw doing so and laying Apollo out when he tried to separate us.
I carefully slipped out of the bed as to not awake my love and went down to the kitchen to make some breakfast.
I saw two tiny bottles labeled 'Hangover Elixir', with a note attached. I quickly downed one and read the note.
It read:
Dear son,
You and Artemis were going pretty hard at it last night. Hope you two didn't go too far. I don't want any grandchildren yet mister! I almost died laughing though when I saw you knock out Apollo and Ares! I concocted these last night, one for everyone at the party.
Love, Mom
I turned red at the first three lines but nevertheless sent her a slient prayer of thanks assuring her that we didn't do that and telling the I love her.
I then began making breakfast including all of my lovely girlfriend's favorites.
As I put the last egg on Artemis' plate that consisted of bacon, pancakes, eggs, and a biscuit and sat it next to mine before sitting in my own seat, I felt a pair of arms wrap around me from behind. One was draped from over my shoulder and the other from under my arm linking with the hand that I had held before.
"You are the best boyfriend ever." Artemis murmured sleepily making her voice my favorite sound only second to her laugh even more than usual.
She pecked my lips and I could taste her cherry lips though she never wore any kind of lip product, and trudged over to her plate and I noticed she had changed out of her dress in favor of one of my shirts, it fell just slightly past her mid-thigh.
I never knew it was even possible to even look close to as gorgeous as she did right now.
She looked gorgeous with her slightly sleepy expression, my shirt, just slightly messed up hair, slight drowsy smile, and her stunning silver eyes covered ever so slightly by her partially drooping eyelids.
She grabbed her plate and cup of coffee and stunned me by placing th next to mine and sitting on my lap. When she snuggled her head onto my shoulder and began eating. She smelled of pine. I bent my head to her ear and smiled as I felt her shiver as my warm breath hit her ear.
"You look absolutely beautiful, baby, but mind telling me why you stole one of my shirts?" I whispered and I caught the warm smile that graced her lips as she tried to look annoyed.
"The dress was uncomfortable and I didn't feel like summoning an outfit so I grabbed it. Besides, it's so warm and soft, plus it smells like you. I could get used to sleeping in it. Now hush, I'm hungry." Arty grumbled and I chuckled but we ate joking and talking as we did so. If she wanted to wear my shirts, I was more than cool with it.
-Can't touch this! I'm the line break! CHOP!-
Artemis and I were shouting at each other.
"I can't help it if women keep chasing after me!" I shouted the shadows stirring restlessly at my feet, clouds gathering above, and the tree next to me beginning to smolder. Artemis and I were a foot apart our faces red from yelling and anger while our eyes were bright with fury that danced in th, mine bursting into flames. The moon's light glared down harshly upon me and lightning flashed violently above.
"THEN STOP ENCOURAGING THEM!" She screamed back. We had been doing this for a half hour now.
"I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHO YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT OR WHAT THE FUCK BROUGHT THIS EVEN UP!"
"YOU KNOW DAMN WELL WHAT BROUGHT IT UP! AND WHO AM I TALKING ABOUT?! I FUCKING TALKING ABOUT KIHONE, NIKE, HEBE, IRIS, LUPA, NEMISIS, BELLONA, AND ERIS! WHO YOU ARE IRIS-MESSAGING EVERY FUCKING CHANCE YOU GET AND KISSING YOUR CHEEK WHEN THEY SEE YOU! WHAT? THEY COULDN'T SHOVE THEIR TOUNGUE DOWN YOUR THROAT BECAUSE I WAS THERE!" Artemis hollered and I couldn't believe her.
"THEY ARE MY FRIENDS! SORRY I DIDN'T FUCKING REALIZE I COULDN'T BE FRIENDS WITH ANY GIRLS OUTSIDE THE HUNT! BUT GUESS WHAT?! I AM SO DEAL WITH IT! ALL THE OLYMPIANS DO IS TREAT THE MINOR GODS LIKE TRASH AND I'M MAKING SURE THEY DON'T BETRAY US IN THE WAR JUST SO THEY CAN GET THE RESPECT THEY DESERVE! I TOLD YOU IT WAS A FRIENDLY KISS! WHY DON'T YOU TRUST ME?!" The last sentence I screamed made me more sad than anything as I trusted Artemis with my life but she didn't trust me with a girl if it wasn't in her hunt. The shadows kind of nuzzled my feet like a dog trying to comfort their master, the tree stopped smoldering, but the clouds still rained as they were still needed to represent the immortal daughter of Zeus' fury.
"WE DO NOT! THEY WON'T BETRAY OLYMPUS BECAUSE IF THEY DO THEN THEY'LL BE PUNISHED! AND I DON'T TRUST YOU AS FAR AS I CAN THROW YOU! YOU'RE THE SAME AS EVERY OTHER MAN! I WISH I NEVER MET YOUR SORRY ASS!"
3rd PoV
As soon as the words left her mouth Artemis regretted them. She winced.
"Percy I'm so sor-" She started and stepped forward to hug him. Perseus stepped back pain clear as day to anyone who looked into his eyes especially Artemis. The seeping pain of rejection hit her in the stomach as she was filled with regret and guilt. Tears stung their eyes as they overflowed and streamed steadily from Artemis' eyes. She didn't mean any of those horrible things she had just gotten so angry and now she had hurt her love and possibly pushed him away.
She wanted to take it all back, to apologize, to admit she was wrong, to hug and kiss him as she did so but when she opened her mouth he held up his hand to silence her.
"If that's how you feel then I guess there is nothing left for us or left to say. Just know I'll always love you and I'll always be there when you're in trouble." Percy stated his eyes brimmed with tears.
Artemis rushed forward and gripped his shoulders, crying into his chest breathing in his familiar vanilla scent. Percy's eyes began to shed the tears.
"No, no, no. Please, I didn't mean it! I can't live without you! I love you! Don't do this! I'm sorry!" She sobbed.
"I-I lo-o-ove you too, Artemis but I can't do this. I can't be in a relationship where I trust the person completely but she doesn't trust me enough to be alone with someone. I-I can't do it. It hurts that you doubt my love for you to think I would betray you like that. I-I-I'm s-sorry Artemis." He choked and gently detached her from him and disappeared into a shadow.
Artemis fell to her knees as it began to pour. The freezing rain did nothing to affect her as she was numb as she sobbed over losing the one person in the universe she loved with all she had because she was a fool.
She did trust him more than anything but it was too late now.
Artemis realized then Percy was the only person in the universe she gave a damn about. He was the most handsome man to exist, he had a wonderful personality unmatched by anyone, he was loyal almost to a fault, he made her laugh, smile, and he made her stronger and he was her reason to fight, and his lips tasted like cinnomin.
Artemis bawled as she realized she just lost the only person she ever gave a damn about, because she didn't realize she trusted him more than anything till he was gone.
Artemis also realized as long as he loved her, it wasn't too late. She staggered to her feet, tracked his aura, and flashed there.
She arrived and it was pouring there too. But she didn't care about anything but Percy. She peered through the rain to see Hyperion battling Percy, spear on scythe.
Artemis rushed forward only to be stopped by an force-field when Hyperion feinted a blow and when Percy went to block, Hyperion slashed a huge semi-deep gash on Percy's chest.
Percy stumbled but began to attack harder slashing the scythe at a rapid pace but Hyperion locked his spear with the scythe and punched Percy in the stomach throwing him back five feet barely managing to stay on his feet. Artemis flinched when she heard the audible snap! of ribs being broken. Percy yelled out in pain but twirled the scythe and it turned into a black sword. He began to push Hyperion back who barely managed to parry them all. Percy feinted a blow to the right and Hyperion went to block it giving Percy a chance to quickly transform his weapon back into a scythe and decapitate the titan of light.
Percy's knees gave way and Artemis rushed forward, barely managing to catch him and prop him on a nearby boulder. Artemis saw the gash oozing ichor and glanced worriedly at her love, who stared blankly at her like he wasn't able to reconize her. Which he couldn't between the rain, his tears, and the blood loss. Artemis summoned a flask of nectar and poured it over the gash and the gash didn't close but it thinned to the point it wasn't a big concern and had stopped bleeding. She could feel he ha dthree broken ribs.
"Artemis..."

I Have decided to write a second story please rber to click that favorite and/or follow button. I have a poll up on how good you think the preveiw to my new story is and if you are lookin forward to more (don't worry I'm not Bailing on this one). Speaking of the preveiw here it is:
Phoebe Artemis goddess of the moon, storms, the wild, virginity, archery, childbirth and the hunt, princess of the skies, and firstborn of Zeus and firstborn of Leto stared mournfully at the empty midnight purple throne the same shade of the night sky to the right of her silver throne. It belonged to the man who had stole her heart from the early days of her time on the Island of Delos. He had taught her archery and her, him, and her idiotic brother fought their way to Olympus and he had protected Artemis and Apollo and managed to steal her heart along the way. Zeus hated him because even as a godling he had more power than her power-hungry father could ever dream of. He was the best-looking man to exist as she was considered the best-looking woman to exist. Not to mention he didn't bow to the gods when they had first arrived on Olympus he was a rebel with a southern accent even if it didn't exist at the time. He vanished in a flash of black light shortly after the fates announced his titles. He left his father and Artemis in despair. His father considered him his favorite child even though he was his first and even after all these melinea he still was his favorite child. His father hardly ever came out of his domain except for council meetings and he was also staring mournfully at his son's empty throne. Artemis' love's father was depressed and his appearance showed the loss of his son had gotten if anything worse with each passing year.
His hair was gray, skin unnaturally pale and wrinkled, once bright eyes were dull and lifeless, his shoulders sagged and head hung low.
The mystery god was Coeus Perseus god of night, tides, archery, combat, music, loyalty and assassins, prince of the seas, and first born of Poseidon and firstborn of Asteria. And little did Artemis know, she had stolen Perseus' heart just as he stole hers. They never got to tell each other how they felt though.
The two missed Perseus and wished nothing more for him to return if he was alive.
Little did they know today was the day he returned from training with the creator of the universe, Chaos, as a master of his domains and a lot of surprises in store when he returns.
*end*
Now here's the summary:
