"A Hunk-a, Hunk-a BurningGreymon"
"Why are we here, Bokomon? All these fortune tellers are fake." JP complained.
The group was now walking up the steps of an old stone temple that towered above the town filled with the tents.
"Like my Grandmamon's teeth." Neemon said.
Koji and JP pulled the doors to the temple open as the group walked inside.
"Have a little faith, please. I do know what I'm doing. Shamanmon is the real thing." Bokomon assured.
As they ventured inside, they spotted the Digimon at the very end of the room, his back to them as he stared up at what appeared to be doors.
"Shamanmon, I call upon your wisdom, your insight and basically, we're asking for two cents worth of advice." Bokomon said.
"Who calls upon Shamanmon?" The dark green skinned Digimon with the yellow Mohawk asked.
"Weary travelers in need of guidance from the universe." Bokomon told him.
"Oh, you'll get guidance all right." Shamanmon chuckled as he turned around, revealing his goblin face and the club he carried making everyone but Koji and Bokomon gasp.
"Wait a minute, I remember you." Takuya pointed at him as Bokomon grew nervous.
"You're one of those nasty Goblimon from the Wind Factory." Zoe frowned.
"Really? He looks like that Goblimon who got into a stupid fight with Leormon at the Lion Village. Stupid boys." Daisuke muttered.
Koji looked down at her and simply patted her head.
"Come on you guys, let's get him." Tommy said.
"No, no, no! Shamanmon's one of the good guys. Shamanmon is a medium. This all seeing Digimon does a ceremonial dance and uses his magical club to see into the future." Bokomon explained.
This fact was proven when Shamanmon began to dance, waving his club around.
"You should be very careful. Ahead you face much danger." He warned.
"You will come up against a foe you have faced before, but this foe has a friend and in meeting him, you will see that a friend is a foe." He foretold.
"Hmm?" Tommy asked.
"I don't buy it." Takuya said as he and Tommy shared a look.
"Then listen to this!" Shamanmon yelled making the boys turn as the Digimon jumped right in front of them, Takuya dropping Daisuke and Koji caught her as the two hat wearing boys clung to each other.
"The greatest test will be faced by you two. This test has the power to destroy you all if you're not careful." Shamanmon warned, then stepped back with a chuckle when he saw he made the point across.
"Hey, come back." Tommy called.
"Yeah, we don't wanna get destroyed." Takuya called.
"Then remember who you are and trust in each other and your friendship." Shamanmon danced again.
The ground then began to quake making the prophet fall onto his back while the others all groaned in worry.
"Run for it!" JP cried.
Everyone then ran for the door, running outside to find a creature made of rock bursting out of the ground, growling as Grumblemon stood on his head.
"Old foe, big friend." Takuya observed.
"It's Golemon!" Bokomon pointed at the creature.
"Grumblemon back with big angry surprise for little spirit kids." The gnome smirked.
"One of these days, I'm gonna beat this jerk for good." Koji growled.
"When are you gonna learn? How about working with the rest of us, huh?" Zoe reprimanded.
Golemon then jumped up, heading for the group.
"Oh, save me." Neemon whimpered as he clung to Bokomon.
"Just give me a minute." Takuya said.
The large Digimon then rammed his fist down onto the ground, making the ground erupt under them and sent the kids flying off of their feet as they then hit the ground.
"Right, minute's over." Takuya pulled out his D-Tector along with Tommy, JP and Daisuke.
"Execute: Spirit Evolution!"
"AGUNIMON!"
"Execute: Spirit Evolution!"
"BEETLEMON!"
"Execute: Spirit Evolution!"
"KUMAMON!"
"Execute: Spirit Evolution!"
"BELLEMON!"
"Now for the Beast. Execute: Beast Sprit-"
"Me no think so." Grumblemon cut Koji off.
The gnome pulled out a vial and quickly threw the contents at Koji, making the ground around him glow red and he fell to his knees, grunting to get free.
"What's going on? I can't move." Koji groaned.
"Sorry. KendoGarurumon no play today." Grumblemon laughed.
"You no move till Grumblemon say so." He said.
Kumamon used Crystal Freeze on Grumblemon and Golemon, but they both jumped away in separate directions, then Golemon punched Kumamon away.
"Kumamon!" Beetlemon called.
Beetlemon then used Thunder Fist, going to hit Golemon, slamming his fists down on the creature's head, but he just laughed.
"Uh oh." Beetlemon yelped as he flew away.
Kumamon and Beetlemon were then hit by Sulfur Plume, the attack pushing them back into the pillars that were around.
"Please not to tell me that the best you can do." Grumblemon taunted with a chuckle as Golemon laughed.
"My turn." Agunimon said as he hit Golemon with his Pyro Tornado.
"How about a little tag team action?" Bellemon asked as she flew above Agunimon.
They nodded at each other as the angel flew at Golemon and used her Feather Frenzy on the creature, knocking him back, but then Golemon got up and used Sulfur Plume.
Bellemon screamed as she was hit back into Agunimon who caught her as they were then pushed back into some debris.
Zoe whined as Bokomon and Neemon clung to her, whimpering.
"You can do it, just work together." Zoe called.
The Warriors then groaned in pain as they pushed themselves to their feet.
"Enough. You finished. Hand over Spirits now or you finished big time." Grumblemon pointed at them.
"Boy, would I like to shut that guy up." Beetlemon growled.
"Yeah, me too." Koji then punched the ground in anger.
"There's gotta be something I could do." He looked at the others in worry.
"Anybody got any suggestions?" He asked.
Golemon then slammed his fist on the ground making it quake and split open, Kumamon jumping away before he fell into the crater.
"Yeah, work together." Agunimon said.
Growling, Golemon jumped up at them.
"Hit him hard." Agunimon called.
"Right." Beetlemon nodded.
"Who's going first?" Bellemon asked.
"I'll chill him out." Kumamon grinned as he lifted up his Blizzard Blaster.
The bear then fired his Blizzard Blaster at Golemon, distracting him as Beetlemon tackled him with Lightening Blitz, then Bellemon used her Feather Frenzy and finally Agunimon used his Pyro Tornado.
From the force of the attacks, Golemon was blasted back into the ground while Grumblemon watched.
"No!" He yelled in annoyance as he jumped up.
"Don't let him get away." Agunimon ordered.
"Execute: Slide Evolution!"
"GIGASMON!"
"Now, myself me fix you." Gigasmon sneered.
Kumamon attacked first with his Blizzard Blaster, but Gigasmon countered with Quagmire Twister, the force of the wind sucking the bear inside.
"No!" Bellemon cried in worry.
"Tommy!" Agunimon called as he jumped over to help, but was hit back by the twister.
Kumamon then fell out, his Spirit showing as Gigasmon smirked and went after him.
"Tommy, wake up!" Zoe yelled.
"Hang on!" Bellemon called as she flew over only for Gigasmon to punch her back and she hit the ground as Gigasmon gobbled up the Spirit of Ice.
Tommy turned back to normal and fell to the ground.
"Me eat yummy bear. Me have two now." Gigasmon gloated.
"Get out of there, you guys!" Zoe yelled as Gigamson jumped in the air and used Tectonic Slam.
Slamming his fists on the ground, light shone around as the ground started to crack and crumble.
Suddenly, bright lights shone from the temple and a winged beast broke out of the top and flew over to Gigasmon, punching him back into a pillar.
Everyone stared at the red and white metal beast with horns, a reptilian tail and large orange wings who then roared in anger and pain.
"What is that thing?" Agunimon asked.
"You mean other than bad news?" Beetlemon quipped as Tommy ran over to Zoe.
"This is gonna be painful." Bellemon groaned.
"Now just hold on. That thing may be on our side." Bokomon called over.
"Okay, but somehow, I don't think so." Agunimon said.
"Whoever he is, he seems very upset." Neemon pointed out.
The mysterious Digimon then gave an evil laugh that made everyone nervous.
"Maybe not." Neemon whined.
Golemon's hands then broke out of the ground from under the Digimon and grabbed his ankles and started pulling him down into the earth.
"You go bye now." Gigasmon yelled smugly.
Roaring, the beast beat his wings and lifted himself into the air, Golemon being pulled up with him as Agunimon watched the beast fly off with Golemon still hanging on.
"Quick, let's get out of here." Beetlemon called.
The yellow spikes on the beast's arms then revealed themselves to be guns that then started firing blasts at Golemon making him cry out as he then let go and exploded into data.
Only his metal mask was left as it hit the ground as Gigasmon stared in fear at it as the beast stomped his foot down on it, destroying it.
"I go bye now!" Gigasmon yelled as he dived into the earth and started digging his way to safety as the beast tried to attack him next.
The markings around Koji disappeared and he grabbed his D-Tector, running over to Zoe and Tommy as the beast roared.
"Aw, man." Agunimon groaned.
"He's really strong." Tommy whimpered.
"Too strong." Koji said.
"If he comes after us, there's no way we can beat him." Zoe frowned.
"Right, time to go." Bokomon held his hands up as he waved the humans off to leave and they did so.
"Agunimon, Bellemon, come on." Beetlemon called to the angel.
"Coming." Bellemon nodded as she flew off.
"Yeah." Agunimon turned and walked off.
"Help me!" The beast cried out making Agunimon stop.
"I'm possessed by the Beast Spirit!" The creature cried out.
"Shamanmon?" Agunimon asked in surprise.
"Please, rescue me! I was in the temple when the Beast Spirit was revealed. The instant I touched it, I was possessed. Please, help me!" Shamanmon begged.
"Agunimon, what are you doing?" Beetlemon asked when he saw the other Warrior wasn't following and walked over to the beast.
"Don't worry Shamanmon, I can help you." Agunimon assured.
The beast then roared as fire started to appear around his body, as if ti were leaking out, and then swung his flame covered tail at Agunimon who jumped out of the way.
"Agunimon!" Bokomon cried out as everyone gasped.
Agunimon then attacked his Pyro Tornado, but the beast blocked it and started firing off his lasers at Agunimon who cried out in pain as he was hit and then landed on the ground.
"Agunimon, get out of the way!" Bellemon cried as the beast flew over to him.
As Agunimon tried to force himself up, the beast stomped his foot down on him, keeping him subdued and then pointed his laser in his face.
Both Spirits of Flame glared at each other.
"What is he waiting for?" Koji asked.
The beast then pulled away a bit, shaking.
"Strike now! NOW!" Shamanmon ordered.
Agunimon kicked the beast off and then used Pyro Tornado, punching continuous blasts of flame at the beast until he fell back, weakened.
"Now to free Shamanmon. My D-Tector should release him. Fractal Code: Digitize!" Ahunimon scanned the Beast Spirit.
Shamanmon fell to the ground, weak, but freed from the power of the Beast Spirit.
Just then, Agunimon cried out in pain as the Beast Spirit seemed to be fusing together with him.
"Something's wrong!" Beetlemon called.
"Oh no!" Zoe gasped.
"Oh dear!" Bokomon exclaimed.
"What do we do?" Tommy asked.
"Takuya, no!" Koji yelled.
All their voices were overlapping as they stared at Agunimon as he was covered in data and transformed into the Beast of Flames.
"Holy sock!" Neemon gasped.
"For once, I completely agree with you." Bokomon whimpered as Shamanmon ran off.
The Beast then roared as flames covered his body making everyone flinch back.
"Oh no, Takuya." Zoe stared in horror.
"It seems that the Beast Spirit has possessed him." Bokomon said sadly.
"Takuya, it's me." Beetlemon said as the Beast turned to him.
Roaring, the Beast attacked Beetlemon making everyone gasp.
"Take cover everyone!" Bokomon yelled as he ushered Zoe, Tommy and Neemon off.
"Takuya, stop!" Bellemon called as she flew over.
"Takuya, that's JP!" Koji called.
The Beast punched the Warrior of Thunder, then whipped Bellemon with his tail before he then flew off at Koji who glared and pulled out his D-Tector.
"Fine. Execute: Beast Spirit Evolution!"
"KENDOGARURUMON!"
The wolf gave a howl before he then charged in at the other Beast, preparing for a fight as the Beast turned to him.
"You guys, this is crazy. Think about what you're doing." Beetlemon called as he held Bellemon in his arms.
"Guys, please don't fight. You're friends, remember that. Takuya!" Bellemon called in worry and fear.
The others watched in worry as the Beasts of Light and Flame were about to face off.
"Koji, Takuya, stop this!" Beetlemon yelled as they snarled at each other.
"The Legend of the DigiDestineds"
The islands all finally came back together to the relief of Tai, Matt, Daisuke and their Digimon.
Garurumon and Greymon had Digivolved to carry the group but were waiting for instructions first.
"All right, the island is back together." Tai said.
"Yeah, that's great, but where do we go now?" Matt asked.
Suddenly, Daisuke's Digivice started beeping making her pull it out as the others stood around her curiously.
"What is it?" Matt questioned.
"I'm guessing one of the others." Daisuke responded.
"You think they're in trouble?" Tai asked.
"Then let's go help them." Garurumon.
Nodding, the two boys got up on their Digimon while Matt pulled Daisuke and Veemon up with him and they clung to the blond as the wolf took off.
They followed the signal off to an area filled with tall buildings made of toy blocks and saw that Leomon was attacked TK and Patamon while Ogremon had a Poyomon as hostage.
"Oh, no. Devimon has Leomon as his slave again." Daisuke frowned.
"Hang on." Matt said.
"We'll circle around and go after Ogremon." Tai told them.
Nodding, the group then split up and Garurumon used his Howling Blaster at Leomon who was holding up his knife and stopped him from attacking.
"TK!" Matt called as Garurumon ran over.
"You came in time." TK smiled at them.
"That was close." Matt picked Daisuke up and jumped off of the wolf along with Veemon as Garurumon charged off at Leomon.
Leomon's knife blocked him from the Howling Blaster as they tackled each other.
"Now you've done it this little guy's gonna get squished." Ogremon said, not noticing Tai had slipped in and took Poyomon out of his hand.
"Hey, where'd he go?" Ogremon asked seeing his empty hand.
"He's staying with us." Tai called.
"Over my stinky armpits he will." Ogremon raised his club.
"Oh, I'm so scared. Get him, Greymon!" Tai called as Greymon stepped up behind Ogremon.
He then shot Nova Blast at Ogremon making him jump back from the attack.
"Didn't anybody ever tell you not to play with fire? Someone could get hurt. Namely me. Now to educate you, I'll show you who's the head honcho on this island." Ogremon then jumped at Greymon.
"I can fight you blind folded." He said, but was whacked by Greymon's tail.
The black gears then floated down from the sky as the four Digimon fought each other, the gears imbedding themselves in the lion's back as he cried out in pain.
"Look, the black gears." Matt said.
"Leormon, no!" Daisuke cried out as Veemon held her back.
Black crackles of electricity surrounded Leomon as he then grew in size while his skin turned brown and his man was black.
Garurumon and Leomon both snarled at each other.
"No, turn back or he'll beat you to a pulp!" Matt cried.
Fist of the Beast King was the blasted at Garurumon, sending him into a mountain and rocks fell down on top of him.
"Are you okay?" Matt called.
Fist of the Beast King was thrown at Greymon sending him back into one of the buildings.
"No, we need you, Greymon!" Tai ran over to him while Matt ran over to his wolf.
"I told the guy not to play with fire." Ogremon said.
"Veemon." Daisuke turned to him.
"Right." Veemon nodded as he ran over while Leomon turned to them.
"Veemon Digivolve too…VEEDRAMON!"
Veedramon then used V-Nova Blast on Leomon who countered with Fist of the Beast King, both attacks making the two Champions skid back.
TK was clinging to Daisuke's arm as they watched the fight go on while Patamon was upset that he couldn't help out.
"I am your humble servant and will obey you, Devimon." Leomon looked over to the two eight year olds.
"TK, Daisuke, watch out!" Matt called.
"What now, Matt?" TK asked as he hugged Daisuke's arm as she glared up at Leomon as he stepped closer to them.
"Hurry move away." Matt called.
Patamon flew up and used Boom Bubble, but it had no effect on Leomon.
"Oh no, it's not working." Patamon whimpered as he was grabbed by the lion and was squeezed, cutting off his air supply.
"Patamon!" TK gasped.
"Let him go!" Veedramon roared as he swiped his claws on Leomon's back making him roar in pain and let Patamon go.
"Patamon, ya gotta take it easy, buddy." TK ran to his partner and picked him up.
"Veedramon, be careful." Daisuke called as the dragon and lion fought.
"I'm sorry." Patamon said tearfully.
"What for?" TK asked.
"I was just trying to protect you." Patamon said.
"And you were doing great. Don't feel bad, little guy." TK assured.
Leomon jumped up and kicked Veedramon in the jaw, knocking him to the ground making Daisuke gasp, but then Togemon came in and punched Leomon back.
"Tai, you're never gonna believe this." Izzy called as he and Mimi flew down on Kabuterimon's back.
"What's happening, Izzy?" Tai asked.
Kabuterimon landed and allowed the two humans to jump down and pull out their Digivices.
"We have a consummate solution to all of our problems." Izzy said.
"That's cool, but what are you talking about?" Tai asked.
"Check 'em out." Mimi exclaimed.
"They call them Digivices." Izzy informed.
"They have the capability to completely obliterate the black gear." He said making Tai think back to how Daisuke's Digivice did the same to Leomon before.
"Then let's give them a try. We don't have any other choice right now. We'll have to take a chance and stop him." Tai said as he ran over to Leomon.
"Don't worry, I got you two covered." Matt said as he stood in front of Daisuke and TK protectively as Leomon stalked towards them.
"Ready for a real fight?" Tai asked making Matt glance over in confusion.
"What are you waiting for, booger breath? Come and get us if you dare." Tai taunted as he walked over confidently.
"What's up, dude? Have you totally flipped out?" Matt asked.
"He called a dangerous monster booger breath. What do ya think?" Daisuke quipped.
"I must do as I am commanded. Come here." Leomon reached out to grab Tai.
"Now!" Tai yelled as he lifted up his Digivice.
It shone with a bright light that made Leomon cry out in pain and saw that the black gears were slowly dislodging from his body.
"You know, these things pack quite a punch." Matt pulled out his own Digivice and ran over to Tai and held his Digivice out.
Light shone out of it as well making the gears all fly out.
"How'd they do that? Rotten kids." Ogremon cursed.
"Ogremon, over here." Izzy called making him look over.
"You haven't begun to see our power." Kabuterimon flew up and used Electro Shocker on the ogre, blasting him back.
Once the gears were out of Leomon's body, they shattered and the lion then shrunk down to his normal size and his coloring was back to normal.
"Leormon!" Daisuke cried as she ran over to the lion.
"It worked. We destroyed the black gear." Izzy said as Mimi cheered.
"We're safe now. Leomon's back to his normal self." TK smiled.
Panting for breath, Leomon looked over and found Daisuke smiling at him happily which made him return it as the Digimon all returned to their Rookie forms.
(Later on…)
"According to ancient legend, our world will be taken over by a strange dark force that will change good Digimon into bad ones. Our ancestors have predicted that a group of children called the DigiDestineds will appear from another world. When they arrive, they will come to possess super powers that will eventually save our world from destruction." Leomon explained.
"But I thought that already happened. Mimi and I learned about the seven children who came here before and bonded with the Spirits of the Legendary Warriors. Wasn't that real?" Izzy asked making everyone look at him.
Leomon glanced at Daisuke while Veemon shook his hands, telling him not to mention her.
"Yes, it was true. I know this because I was a Rookie when they first came and saved our world." Leomon said making everyone gasp.
"So it's true. There really were humans here before us." Matt said.
"But how do you know that we're the new DigiDestineds?" Tai asked.
"Because you have the Digivices. They are different models than the Originals had, but they still give you the ability to make Digimon Digivolve. That is proof enough." Leomon stated.
"I for one hope that it's true. My theory is that we'll be released after we save the island. Once our purpose is served, there'll be no other reason for us to remain." Izzy explained.
"And I'll finally be able to change these clothes." Mimi spoke up.
"That's right. If Leomon's information is correct, we'll be heading straight for home." Izzy said making Veemon whimper sadly at this and Leomon gave a sad smile.
They both waited for years to see Daisuke and their time with her would be cut short.
"I can't wait." Mimi smiled.
"How can we make it happen? We're not even sure who's causing it. What if it's a force that's too big to handle?" Matt looked at the mountain.
"You see, Devimon is the main cause of all this evil. To save the island, you're going have to defeat him." Leomon informed.
"Let's go for it. Come on everyone, why not? If we don't defeat him, it'll never be over." Tai said as he stood up.
"Fine with me. Besides, it's impossible to for us to lose with the Digivices." Izzy stood up.
"First thing on my list when I get home is to do some killer shopping." Mimi stood up with a smile.
"For that to happen, you'll have to get back home." Palmon smiled up at her.
"If we all work together, we're sure to win." Tentomon encouraged.
"I'm ready anytime you are, buddy." Agumon stood.
"How about it, Matt? Are we up to the challenge, my friend?" Gabumon asked.
"It's gonna be tough. When you get down to it, we have no other choice." Matt said.
"Looks like we're going." Veemon grinned.
"Then let's do it." Daisuke nodded.
"We're in too." TK smiled as Patamon hummed in agreement.
"All right then, troops, let's do it." Leomon announced.
"Far out. It's a done deal." Tai exclaimed.
Everyone then stood and began walking, Daisuke and Veemon being way in the front with Leomon who looked down at them while the others spoke to each other.
"Daisuke, did you not tell them who you are?" Leomon whispered.
"No, when I got my Spirits back, I was told by Ophanimon not to." She whispered back.
"I wonder why you got them back. They do come in handy, but you'll have to tell the others sooner or later." Veemon whispered back.
They made it to the lake and then found a boat, then everyone got inside it as Leomon steered the boat to Devimon's lair on top of Infinity Mountain.
"Devimon is very powerful. He's brought nothing but trouble to File Island. We must be careful." The lion warned.
They made it to the land and started walking up the path to the mountain, walking up to find the Fallen and defeat him.
Just then, black gears started flying in from around the area, heading off to the temple at the top of the mountain.
The sky then turned dark as the island shook making everyone cry out.
"We can't turn back now." Tai called.
Out of the temple burst out Devimon who had grown triple in size as he pulled himself out and spread his wings.
"What in the world is that?" Mimi asked.
"It must be Devimon." Tai said.
"I didn't expect him to be such a big guy." Palmon commented.
"Bad guys always seem to think bigger is better." Izzy frowned.
"Afraid not. The power that Devimon possess is immense, so be careful." Leomon warned.
They watched as Devimon took to the sky and flew over to where the group were and they whined in fear.
"He's here." Tai gasped.
Devimon then landed in the forest behind them.
"Uh, Agumon, you'd better Digivolve." Tai said nervously.
"Right." Agumon nodded.
Spinning around to face them, wind blew off from Devimon and sent the humans and Rookies back into the mountain.
Lifting his hand, Devimon then sent a blast of black light at the group making them cry out in pain at the sharp, cold stinging sensation that filled them from head to toe.
"You are fools. Don't expect me to play silly games with you. I'm far too wise for that." Devimon said.
Suddenly, Devimon was blasted by Harpoon Torpedo making him stop his attack and the group all fell to their hands and knees.
"That's a bull's eye, Ikkakumon." Joe smiled next to his partner.
Birdramon then used Meteor Wing on Devimon making him groan in pain as Sora came running over to the others.
"Quick everybody, there's no time to waste. We've got to strike right away." She called.
"Digivolve." Tai called.
"You've got it. You ready gang?" Agumon asked the other Rookies and they nodded.
"Agumon Digivolve too…GREYMON!"
"Yeah, go, Greymon!" Tai encouraged.
"Gbaumon Digivolve too…GARURUMON!"
"Let's turn this guy into pudding." Matt glared.
"Tentomon Digivolve too…KABUTERIMON!"
"My biology teacher would love this." Izzy commented.
"Palmon Digivolve too…TOGEMON!"
"I do like the way our colors match." Mimi said.
"Veemon Digivolve too…VEEDRAMON!"
"Take him out, Veedramon." Daisuke called.
Greymon and Veedramon both used their attacks while Garurumon jumped up on Devimon, chewing on his arm.
"I think he's got him." Tai said.
Devimon threw Garurumon off and down onto Greymon and Veedramon.
"Oh no!" Matt cried.
"Your attacks are pitiful. I'm afraid you'll have to try harder than that." Devimon glared.
Kabuterimon and Togemon used their attacks next, but Devimon hit Togemon off the mountain.
"Give up you fools, it's useless." Devimon yelled as he threw Kabuterimon away.
"Oh, poor Togemon." Mimi sighed.
"Kabuterimon!" Izzy called.
Leomon then roared as he jumped up at Devimon.
"You're mine now!" He growled.
Ogremon then jumped out of Devimon's back making everyone gasp.
"You!" Leomon growled.
"You've got no chance against the likes of us, kitty cat." Ogremon taunted as Leomon was blasted back.
Birdramon was squawking as she tried to get out of Devimon's hold.
"You're not worth my time." He said.
"Birdramon!" Sora yelled.
"Out of my sight." Devimon threw her down on top of Greymon, both Digimon falling down the mountain.
"You're next." Devimon turned to Ikkakumon and Joe.
Ikkakumon fired off his torpedoes at Devimon, but they bounced off his hand as the Fallen grabbed him.
"Ikkakumon, no!" Joe called.
Kabuterimon flew in to help, but Ikkakumon was thrown at him.
"Kabuterimon!" Izzy called as Veedramon jumped up on Devimon but was launched back.
"Oh boy. There's nobody left. What do we do, Patamon?" TK whimpered as he clung to Daisuke again.
"Now to get rid of you two. Then I'll have nothing to fear. They say the smallest will destroy me." Devimon turned to them.
TK and Patamon whimpered as Daisuke glared at him, reading herself to Spirit Evolve if she had to.
"I'm not going to let that happen. Don't move. It'll be easier on the both of you." Devimon reached out his hand.
Garurumon and Matt ran over, the wolf jumping on the hand and bit into it while Veedramon and Greymon clung to one of Devimon's legs and sunk their fangs into it.
Ikkakumon did the same with his other leg while Kabuterimon attacked his other hand and Birdramon started scrapping at his face with her talons.
"You seem to forget, I am Devimon; Supreme Master of this island." Devimon gloated as Togemon jumped on one of his legs.
"I have power over all Digimon. No one can stop me!" Devimon yelled as black lights blasted the seven Digimon off of him.
The humans were even blasted back form the force of the attack, TK and Daisuke ramming into the wall behind them along with Patamon.
"Whoa, that guy knows how to take it outta ya." Greymon groaned.
"I can't move. Even my needles are numb." Togemon moaned.
"Oh, the pain. I don't like pain." Veedramon whined.
"Now's probably not a good time to take a nap." Kabuterimon commented as Ikkakumon groaned.
"This is bad." Tai winced.
"Matt!" TK yelled.
"You will be mine." Devimon said as he stepped closer to the two eight year olds as Matt lay a few feet away from them.
"Hey, get ready to run." Matt whispered to them.
Devimon then reached for the injured kids, TK clinging to Daisuke's waist as she held him and glared at the Fallen while Patamon glared and flew up.
He tired using his Boom Bubble to stop the evil Digimon, but it didn't even pause Devimon which made Patamon's eyes fill with tears at not being able to protect his partner.
"Patamon, help!" TK cried.
"I'll save you, TK!" Patamon yelled as he flew in front of the kids and he was captured by Devimon.
"Hang on, pal!" Matt called.
Just then, TK's Digvice glowed and Devimon's eyes went wide as he saw that the Rookie trapped in his hand was glowing as light shone making him flinch back.
He yelled in pain as he opened his hand, freeing the glowing orb as everyone watched in awe while Daisuke smiled.
"What's that?" Mimi asked.
"It's a…" Izzy trailed off.
"It's Patamon. He must be Digivolving." Sora exclaimed.
The light rose up into the air as everyone watched with renewed hope.
"Patamon Digivolve too…ANGEMON!"
"Hey, Patamon finally Digivolved." Joe said.
Everyone stared up at the male angel as he seemed to be glowing with power as he hovered confidently in the air, shining light through the darkness.
"That's super cool." Sora said as she stared.
"Not bad. That little guy really had it in him." Matt blinked.
"Nice hair. Good color." Mimi commented.
"I want to take him home with me." TK said.
"What's this? Another foolish attempt?" Devimon asked.
"The forces of good are more powerful. Even you can't stop us. I'll destroy you and bring peace to the island." Angemon declared as he raised his staff.
All around, the DigiDestineds' Digivices shot out beams of light, their Digimon returning to their Rookie forms as the lights transferred to Angemon.
"That light is so bright. What are you doing to me?" Devimon demanded.
"Stop it! I'm not going to allow you to take my power away. You'll have to fight me!" Devimon covered his face form the light.
"I'm afraid I have no other choice. If I can help others, then my fate is unimportant." Angemon declared.
"Don't be a hero, you idiot. TK still needs you." Daisuke muttered.
"Angemon!" TK called.
"Your powers have gotten far out of control and must be extinguished. I am ready to fight for peace." Angemon said.
Ogremon then shot out of Devimon's chest, trying to attack the angel, but the glowing staff hit him in the face and he retreated back inside the Fallen's chest.
"Now you've done it." Devimon growled.
Angemon's staff glowed orange as it turned into light that formed around the angel's hand.
"Be careful!" TK called.
"I'll get him. Relax." Angemon glanced over his shoulder to speak to TK who was staring in worry as Devimon reached out to grab the angel.
"Come here, pretty boy." Devimon said.
"I'll stop you." Angemon yelled as he used his Hand of Fate and the beam of light shot through Devimon's chest.
The island was then enveloped in a giant sphere of light, the power draining both the Digimon of their energy as they slowly started to dissipate.
"You have used up all your power. That wasn't very smart, Angemon. Now you are no use to anyone." Devimon said.
"You can't get away from the dark forces. Evil is everywhere, so don't savour your victory. There are other Digimon that are just as powerful as I am. Some of them are even stronger. I wonder what you'll do when you run into them. You haven't won at all. What a waste of time." Devimon sneered.
He then gave an evil laugh as he finally died.
"Angemon!" TK called making his partner turn to look at him.
"TK, I'll come back again…if you want me to." Angemon smiled softly.
Tears were falling down TK's face as Angemon finally died making the boy break down crying and Daisuke looked at him sadly as she kneeled down beside him and hugged him as he clung to her.
"ANGEMON!" TK yelled.
The darkness faded away and revealed the beautiful sunset while everyone started walking over to the two children, everyone feeling upset for the little boy.
Feathers then floated down in front of TK making Daisuke look at them and smile when she realized what was going to happen.
"TK, stop crying." She said making him look up at her.
"Something you need to learn about Digimon; they don't really die." She smiled kindly as she gestured to the feathers.
They glowed and formed into an egg with white and orange stripes making TK's tears stop as he reached out to it.
"What do ya know? It's a Digi-Egg." Tentomon commented.
"Do you think it could be Angemon?" TK asked.
"I know it is. He's just resting for a while to regain his strength." Gabumon explained.
"But don't worry. You'll see him again when he Digivolves." Palmon assured.
"I'll make sure to take really good care of him." TK vowed as he picked up the egg and hugged it.
"You saved my life, Angemon." He said.
"Huh? Look, the island is coming back together again." Sora observed.
"Exactly. Devimon's been defeated. Once the evil is eliminated, the island will return to it's original state." Izzy explained.
"What's with those other evil Digimon across the sea?" Matt asked.
"Yeah, I thought we were going home." Joe said.
"I'm happy you're not." Veemon smiled at Daisuke which made her smile back.
"I don't want to have to fight again. Ooh, I think I broke a nail." Mimi whined making the mahogany haired girl roll her eyes.
"Well, according to Leomon's legend, we've got to do it. Remember what Bellemon told us? We're the DigiDestineds." Tai said confidently.
"Something's happening." Joe stated.
The ground then seemed to glow as rocks moved away to reveal a metal contraption that shot out a rainbow beam and the figure of an old man appeared in it.
"Ah, I've heard of you kids. I must say, I'm pleased." The man smiled.
"Excuse me, sir; tell us, who are you and what do you want?" Tai asked.
