Chapter Ten: Walk the Road Towards the Knight (Part 2)
In a field far away from the Rangers currently stood, The body of the Red Ranger was dropped onto a cold and course ground. James, still in his Ranger form, staggered to his feet. He gripped the hilt of his Pyro sword in his hand as he used it as a torch to light the dark place he was in.
"Where am I?" James asked himself aloud as he tried to take in his surroundings. The last thing that James could remember was that he and his teammates were about to face off against a newly formed Sir. Ceto.
He pulled out his morpher, "Zordon, are you there?" There was no answer on the other side but static. "Damn, it Justin do come in?" James tried again but grew more nervous as he couldn't receive an answer from his teammate.
Sounds of rustling could be heard as he looked around the darkness. "Come on out of there!" James took a stance as he looked in the direction of the noise. His grip grew tighter as two Trogs jumped from the darkness towards James. He swung his sword cutting them in half with ease as they exploded around him, "I have to get out of here." James flipped through his morpher and tried to teleport out of the area but it was to no avail.
"What is going on here?" James ventured into the darkness that was in front of him trying to find a way out.
While James wandered in the dark zone the rest of his teammates stood in front of the enlarged Sir Ceto. "Justin, what is the next move to do?" asked Keri
"We all know what we have to do we have to split up and find James and defeat Sir Ceto." Said Justin as he took charge and he flipped through his morpher, "Zordon, can you trace James?"
After a moment of silence "Justin I am sorry, his element cannot be found anywhere on the planet" said Zordon with despair
"What do you mean you can't trace him? We can sense other elementals, why not my brother?" said Mike
"Mike, relax, but he does have a point Zordon." Said Phil
"He must be covered under the same conditions that keep the Knights hidden" said Zordon "I am sorry that it isn't anymore help."
"Damn it!" Wendy said as she clenched her fist "We have to find him, but I know him, he would rather have us face Sir. Ceto first"
"Then let's do it." Said Phil as he grabbed his morpher
"Wendy, I'll download the ancillary controls for the Red Dragon Zord to your Pink Monkey Zord." Said Zordon as the power was uploaded onto her morpher. Once that was complete each of the Rangers rotated their menus to find the lightning bolt and summoned their megazord. The Zords were then summoned to the battlefield. Each of the rangers jumped into their zords as Wendy took control of two of the zords. They charged toward Sir. Ceto as they surrounded him.
"Attack!" shouted Wendy from her zord as the Monkey zord jumped into the air and pounced onto Sir Ceto.
Sir. Ceto started tried to shake the Zord off of him as the other ranger's zords took a position around him. "I have an idea." said Justin "I'm gonna need time. Wendy have the Red Dragon follow me."
"Yes no problem." Replied Wendy as she commanded the Red Dragon zord
"Good, The Red Dragon will need to be kept safe" said Justin as The blue Garda zord and Red Dragon Zord took to the sky and hid in front of the sun to give him camouflage.
"This guy is gonna tell us where my brother is. Hold him tight Wendy." Said Mike as he started to rotate his controls, the black turtle zord started to rotate rapidly around and darted toward the enlarged villain.
"Do you think that would stop me?' Sir Ceto said as he braced himself as the black zord hit him and shoved him back.
The yellow Lion zord ran towards him and jumped into the air, the claws on the zord became missiles. "I have a shot!" shouted Keri as she took aim in her cockpit
"Go for it!" said Wendy as her zord jumped away from Ceto.
The missiles fired and spiraled around each other, all five missiles made direct contact. "Yes!, that's how you do it" said Keri but as the dust settled a giant wall of water surrounded Sir Ceto.
"I can't be hurt here." Sir Ceto broken down the wall of water and tried to flood the city.
"Phil take care of it!" ordered Wendy as she landed on top of a building, high enough from the water.
"On it!" said phil as his green minotaur zord started to run and then slammed his gigantic hove into the ground, diverting the water into the pit.
Sir Ceto then extended his arms into giant serpents, they quickly reached out and grabbed Keri and Phil's Zords and started to crush them. The machines started to spark and crack under the pressure. "Full System failure inmment" said a computer voice within the cockpit of the two Rangers. The pink monkey zord turned around and pointed its tail towards Sir Ceto, while inside the cockpit Wendy's chair rotated and a scope came down and she took aim. "I only have one charge shot, Mike I need you to distract him while I get the railgun ready."
"Since when are you leader and you better hurry up" Mike said as he started to rotate his zord and charged towards Sir Ceto. When mike hit his max speed of rotation he dashed and hit Sir Ceto, knocking him off balance. Sir Ceto snapped his arm trying to attack the turtle zord, but he missed. "Going in for another hit, how much more time?" said mike as he turned around again as he went and struck Sir Ceto in the back.
"Annoying little monster!" Sir Ceto shouted as he kept trying to turn around and attack the black turtle zord.
"Wendy if your gonna do anything you better do it now!" shouted Phil as sirens blared in his cockpit
"Where is Justin and the red dragon zord?" asked Keri
"Don't worry I got it." Wendy said as a ping sound could be heard. She pulled the trigger as a charged railgun fired towards Sir Ceto. He turned around to see the speeding bullet as he slapped away the black turtle.
"Eat it!" shouted mike as his zord crashed to the ground hard, shaking him inside the cockpit.
Sir Ceto's eyes widened as the bullet passed through him. He then let out a loud scream as he started to spark and crackle with electricity.
"Power into reserve mode" said a computer voice inside Wendy's cockpit as it went dark.
"It's not over yet Rangers." Sir Ceto started to laugh as he continued to crush the zords that were in his grasp.
"We didn't win yet" said Mike as he crawled out from his zord
"Damn it!" shouted Wendy as she slammed her fist onto her consul enraged as her teammates in the Green and Yellow zords braced for system collapse. Inside the cockpit of the blue Garuda zord, screens flashed as power readings of Sir Ceto started to go off the charts.
"Everyone he is gonna blow, I'll take care of this." Justin said as his zord darted down from his cover in front of the sun. The zord dropped from the sky and collided to Sir Ceto with extreme force that caused a large sonic boom, breaking surrounding windows. The blue Garuda carried Sir Ceto higher and higher into the sky, "high altitude mode holding steady" said the computer within Justin's cockpit. "Good, Keri, Phil, unleash all of your artillery."
"What about his shield?" asked Keri as she locked in her claw missiles and took aim.
"He can't form it up here and after the damage he has taken he doesn't have the strength to." Explained justin as he let go of Sir Ceto throwing his body away from him
"Finally!" said phil as his zord's head bent down and his horns fired a full salvo as did Keri's claw zord. The missiles blew away the arms of the monster as it let go of the zords. "System failure" said the computer inside the two zords as they shut down.
"We're going to crash!" shouted Keri from her cockpit
"Don't worry, I got you guys." Justin said as his zord grabbed the Yellow Lion and the Green Minotaur Zord. Justin landed the Zord on the ground as Keri and Phil climbed out of the cockpits. All of the rangers gathered onto the ground except Wendy.
"Ok, now it has to be over." Said mike with a sigh.
"There was no explosion." Said Keri as she, Justin and Phil meet up
"She is right." Said Phil as he looked towards the sky.
In the sky Sir Ceto stopped in mid fall and pointed his body towards the ground. "not over" said Ceto weakly
"He is gonna try to use his body as a bomb" said Justin
"I'm on it." Said wendy over the com-link within the Ranger's helmets. The Red Dragon Zord flew through the sky and towards the body. "I'm gonna push it to explode before it hits the Earth"
"My calculations were off. It was suppose to explode once you guys fell a safe distance away." Justin said in shock
"First time for everything" said Wendy jokingly as she controlled the Red Dragon Zord. She sped up and grabbed Sir Ceto and darted towards the sky again. Alarms and sounds started to buzz inside the red cockpit as Wendy gripped the controls tightly.
"Is she flying the Red Dragon Zord?" said Mike in shock. The Rangers ran towards the Pink Monkey Zord and saw that the cockpit was empty.
"Wendy what are you doing? You had remote access to it." Said Justin
"I didn't anymore once my system crashed so I had to do it manually." Said Wendy as she flew the zord higher up. Sir Ceto started to crack more and more with electricity surrounding him as he started to glow with extreme intensity. Wendy looked outside of the zord and smiled as the sunset. All the screens light up inside the zord as the monster reached critical mass. From the ground a ping of light can be seen as the sky grew dark. The Rangers stared into the sky as they saw a small dot falling towards the ground.
"That has to be Wendy!" shouted Keri
"Zordon we need you to teleport her down to us now!" shouted Justin into his morpher
In a few moments the body of the pink ranger teleported to the ground and landed on top of mike, knocking him to the ground, Wendy then sat up and took off her helmet and took deep breaths.
"I'm glad you're ok, can you get off me?" asked Mike as he tried to push wendy off of him.
"Oh sorry mike." Said Wendy as Keri and Phil helped her to her feet.
"Never do that again!" screamed Justin
"I promise, I won't." Wendy smiled, Justin then teleported the Zords back to the docking bay,
"You know James is going to need you rebuild his zord once he is back"
Justin glared at Wendy, "And you're going to help me repair all of them after that stunt" then cracked a smile. "Let's head to the command core and figure out where James is."
"Let's get my brother back" said Mike as all of the Rangers teleported to the Command Core.
In a hidden part of the world, James continued to wander around in the darkness, his sword the only thing lighting the way. James looked towards the ground to see grass, which hasn't been cut so he must have been in a field and the air is breathable, so he must still be on Earth. Another rustle of noises grew louder and louder as James continued to walk in his straight path. All of the sudden five Trogs jumped from the darkness and surrounded James. "Damn it, more of them." James took a fighting stance as he gripped the pryo sword in his hand and headed towards the crowd of them, James fought them off with ease as they exploded around them as he started to run away from the battleground. In the distance he could see the sun start to come up and the darkness around him broke to see in the distance a castle. "Why is the sun coming up, when I was taken from the battle it was not even sunset yet. That means I'm on the other side of the Earth." James turned around to see the Earth in the distance, "I'm not even on Earth anymore."
"No no Red Ranger, you're nowhere near home" said a male voice in a cocky tone.
James turned around to see the Red Knight standing there holding his hammer. "I was hoping to get the first swing at you."
"Be careful what you wish for." James said as he gripped his sword as the Red Knight ran towards him
The Red Knight raised his hammer above his head and brought it down towards James, but he quickly pared it with his Pyro Sword. The connection reverberated throughout bout fighters bodies, the sparks flew from the Red Knight's hammer as James jumped backward.
"This is going to be better than I thought." Said the Red Knight as he went in for another attack. James started to run towards the castle.
'Maybe if I can get there then I can loss him.' Thought James but as he continued to run a lightning bolt came down and cut off his path.
The Red Knight wagged his finger and chuckled, "Do you honestly think I was going to let you leave our fight."
James stopped short and then rushed towards the knight, "If you want it that way." The pyro sword started to glow as he dragged it along the ground causing a trail of fire behind him. James moved his arm quickly upward to bring up hot dust. The dust blinded the Red Knight as James came in and jump kicked him under the cover. The knight fell backward onto the ground, dropping his hammer.
James then pointed his sword at the knight, "Where am I?"
"You're not getting anything from me Red Ranger." The Red Knight then sweep kicked James causing him to fall over but he caught himself before he hit the ground and flipped to his feet as the red Knight came on the assault. The Red Knight pulled out his blade as electricity flowed around it. Each of the warriors weapons collided again as each went to strike the other. Each fighter jumped backward and ran toward each other again; James ducked and slide under the knight cutting him in the leg. The Red Knight jumped up as blood fell from his leg as he landed on it he couldn't gain his stability as James ran and cut the other side of the same wounded leg.
"Damn Ranger!" shouted the knight as he opened his hand and a bolt came down from the sky and formed his hammer.
"You can't run at me with that wound." Said James as he turned his back away from the fight
"Don't walk away from me!" shouted the Red Knight as he slammed the hammer to the ground and electricity traveled along the ground and struck James. James let out a scream as his uniform smoked. "Round two Red Ranger!"
James stood ready as another bolt came towards him. He jumped out of the way but before he could gain proper footing another stream of electricity was headed towards James.
"To fast!" James said as he rolled over the ground to avoid the attack. He quickly stood up and rushed towards the knight.
As The Red Knight was raising the hammer above his head James got close enough to attack, he swiped his sword across the Red Knight's chest. James then turned around and slashed him again and kicked him in the wounded leg.
"Damn Santana!" said the Red Knight as he started to drop his weapon and fall to the ground.
"What did you say!?" shouted James in confusion
"You heard me." Said the red knight as he looked towards James, James swung and punched the knight knocking the helmet off to reveal the face of Jake Santos.
"Santos?" James continued to be in shock
"Welcome to the home of the Elemental Knights" laughed Jake as he tried to stand up "A floating fortress"
"Tell me how to get home" Said James as he grabbed Jake
"You're going to have to find out on your own." Jake continued to laugh until James punched him in the face knocking him out.
James looked toward the castle and started to run towards it "I'm going to find my answers there."
Back at the command Core the rangers gathered around each other as Alpha and Justin started to search the morphing grid to find any signal of James. "We have been at this for hours and we are coming up with nothing" said Justin with growing frustration in his voice.
"Look Just, take a rest and I'll take over for a little bit" Keri volunteered as she handed Justin a cup of coffee.
"It is just frustrating, we have to find him, he is our friend." Said Justin as he grabbed the cup from Keri and took a sip.
In a different part of the Command Core, Phil and Mike were down trying to figure out the next move to make.
"I'm his brother, we should be out there looking for him, instead of wasting time here looking at computer screens." Said Mike with anger and disgust in his voice.
"Look mike, there is nothing we can do and we are the first line in case we get called out. With Justin busy, you, Keri and I are the only Rangers that can fight. I'm not even sure with Wendy, she isn't answering her com or I don't know she is in the right frame of mind to even fight and maybe you're not either." Said Phil as he leaned against the wall, trying to be calm and composed, knowing that inside he has just as much concern as any of the others.
"I get it Phil, I do, but we can only wait and it doesn't help." Replied mike
"Where is Wendy anyway?" asked Phil
In the Zord Bay Wendy walked around looking at the damaged parts of their once ferocious machines.
"Waiting, I hate waiting. Waiting for Justin to give me news." Said Wendy as she paced around the bay. "There has to be something I can do besides waiting. I'm wasting time, but I can't wait around with the others, I need to be stronger than this. I need to be.", but then the alarms started blare. She raced down to the main part of the Command Core as all the rangers gathered around to see on the main screen a cut in the sky as Trogs fell towards the Earth.
"Rangers you know what to do." Said Zordon but as he said that the scan for James picked up something.
Justin raced to the computer and saw his signal was picked up from the tear in sky. "James is in the home of the Knights."
"We have to get there, but we have to defeat the Trogs." Said Phil
"It's all the same door way, now let's do this. Elemental Energize!" shouted Wendy
"Right, Elemental Energize" shouted the other Rangers as the team changed into their Ranger forms and teleported to the park.
The Rangers teleport to the surge of Trogs that were coming through the rip in space as each of them landed on the ground. Each of the rangers armed themselves with their elemental weapons and got ready for combat as on the other side of the portal James made his way into the castle. The castle was dark and dank, with water dripping from the ceiling. There was a smell of mold and rot, but there was also a feeling of falsehood, as if the mold and dripping were all placed here to deplore moral and scare off enemies that were foolish enough to get this close.
"There has to be away out of here, The knights send the trogs to Earth at anytime along with their monsters so there has to be away to access whatever exit they use." Said James as he ran deeper into the castle, breathing heavy with each step he took. As he ran down the hallways of the fortress of the Knights, a window showed a view of the courtyard, within the courtyard a beam of can be seen emanating from behind the castle, but below the Yellow and Green Knights were sparing with each other, James quickly turned away from the window in order not to be spotted. The two knights continued to spar with each other until a group of Trogs came in carrying the body of the Red Knight.
"Jack, what the hell happened to you." Asked The Green Knight as he and the Yellow Knight went over to their comrade's body.
"Damn Santana." Said the Red Knight as he flowed in and out of consciousness
"What do you mean that guy from school? The Red Ranger, is here?" said the Yellow Knight as she punched the Red Knight in the face "And you let him defeat you, pathetic. Sound the alarm and make sure all our warriors are in lock down and make sure the boss doesn't find out about this."
"Look Holly, the boss has Trogs going to Earth. It was part of a bigger plan, James is suppose to be here remember?" said the Green Knight annoyed of the Yellow Knight. "Lets find him."
James started to run down another hall as alarms started to sound. James quickly darted into a different corridor as Trogs mindlessly ran all around the place. James turned and saw a staircase and ran up it, "Damn what a time for the alarm to go off." As he got to the top of the stairwell a door was opened a crack, James kicked it open to see a table with an inverted pentagram in the center of the room and glass cases with what could have held armor once and a large stain glass window decorated with the large sword with the symbol of infinity at its center.
"This must be like their Command Core." Said James in awe of the place, it looked so much different than the rest of the palace. It was rustic and ancient along with modern cares to the place.
"This is the Chamber of Power, Red Ranger, and do you like?" asked a static and grumbled voice
James turned around quickly to see the Blue Knight standing there. "I'm getting out of here."
"Yes you are." Said the blue knight as his hand rose up and water flowed out of it with extreme pressure throwing James through the stained glass window and crashing onto the courtyard.
James gathered to his feet as he formed his Pyro Sword in his hand and gripped it tightly as the Blue Knight jumped from the broken stained glass window with a Hydro Sword in their hand. "I didn't need this right now."
On Earth the Rangers were fighting off Trogs as they came through the portal. "Damn it there are so many of them" said Phil as he swung his axe destroying a few Trogs in his way.
"We have to keep fighting them off till we find a way to the other side of the portal." Said Wendy as she pointed towards the sky and swung her mace.
"I have a plan. Only two of us will be able to get to the other side. The other three will start on this side manning a teather and keep the portal open." Said Justin as he held out his morpher with a mini holo screen which broke down the schismatic of his plan, he then teleported away back to the Command Core to gather the necessary equipment.
"This has to work." Said Mike as he swung his gravity sickle cutting down and crushing the Trogs that surrounded him.
All of the Rangers morphers light up as an image of Justin appeared on the screen. "Mike and Wendy will be the ones going through the portal. Keri and Phil will fight off any Trogs that block your path and I will stay here to maintain control with initial launch. I'll be there right after."
As Justin worked hard on creating a teather between Mike and Wendy to James, Phil and Keri fought to clear a way to the tear. Keri ran and flipped backward and took aim at multiple Trogs and opened fire as her arrows pierced each on with prosion. Phil ran ontop of a car and jumped slamming his axe onto the ground causing vines to come up from the ground destroying more of the Trogs as Phil screamed out "Go now!"
Mike focused his energy around himself and Wendy, disrupting the gravity around them allowing them to float upward towards the rip into the sky. Trogs rained down around them as another squad headed towards Earth, Each one of them trying to attack and interrupt the two Rangers. "In a few moments you will be pulled into the rip, I'll make sure you guys stay in contact and keep the rip open until you guys come back." Said Justin as he pressed a button which sent more power to mike, which enabled him to burst forward and into the rip.
As the Rangers made it to the other side James continued his fight against the Blue Knight. "Nice style you have Red Ranger." Said the Blue Knight as the Hydro sword collided with the Pyro Sword, releasing steam into the air. James ducked to strike at the blue knight as the blue knight lifted the knee into the stomach of the Ranger. The blow knocked the wind out of James as he fell to the ground. The blue knight lifted the hydro sword into the air and brought it down onto James but he rolled over to avoid the blow. James tried to catch his breath before the next part of the assault started. The blue Knight swung the hydro sword across James's chest ripping open some of the uniform. He stepped back quickly as he another swing came at him, "Damn it"
"Is that all you got Ranger." Said the Blue Knight as another strike was made against James. James quickly started to run towards where the light was emitting from. Each step James had to swing his Pyro Sword to destroy the Trogs in his way while behind him the Blue Knight followed.
'I have to bring the attack to that stupid knight' thought James as he made it to an open part of the field. As the Blue knight headed towards James, behind followed the Green, Yellow, Pink and Black Knights with all of their weapons drawn. James stood his ground as the Blue Knight rushed him but was quickly blocked by the Pyro Sword. More steam was released and under the cover James took the advantage and slashed his sword upward across the armor of the knight. The blue Knight stumbled backward as James gained the upper hand and swung his sword from right to left cutting the blue knight across the stomach.
"Finally some moves." The blue Knight then pushed more power towards the Hydro Sword and went after James. The other Elemental knight formed a circle around the fight waiting on orders from their leader. An explosion could be heard from the castle as a black ball come through the rip. "More Rangers, cut off the flow to Earth and get them out of my realm." The other knights acknowledged the orders and headed towards the castle leaving James and the Blue Knight to finish their fight. James jumped and preformed a jump kick in the air while the blue knight distracted, kicking the knight right in the helmet. "Damn it red ranger!"
"Gotta be in the game to win." James said as he continued to breath heavy from his previous fight with the Red Knight. The Blue Knight got off the ground and fix the helmet and pointed the end of the sword towards James as it charged with a blue light and started to swing the sword.
"Elemental Blast!" shouted the blue knight as the sword was swung in the air releasing a blast of energy, James gripped his sword trying to defend himself from the blast but it wasn't good enough as the blast overwhelmed him and throw James a farther distance. James landed hard on the ground, breaking his left shoulder and tearing up his uniform. The blue knight walked towards him with visible breaks and cracks in the armor which had blood flowing from. James struggled to his feet as, using his sword as a crutch he headed towards the cover of a forest that was nearby. As the fight continued on Mike and Wendy landed on the fortress grounds of the Elemental Knights. Around them were the last of the Trogs that were trying to make it to Earth.
"Let's find my brother." Said Mike as he armed himself with his weapon and took a stance.
"Go!" shouted Wendy as she took her stance as Trogs headed towards them, but they made quick work of them as Mike and Wendy attacked fiercely, unleashing the perfection of their fighting styles. The Trogs around them exploded with each attack, but they were never really able to move forward to head towards James. The Knight soon arrived on the scene with their weapons in hand.
"More Rangers! You have to be kidding me." Said the Pink Knight as she threw her space kunai towards the Rangers, Mike was able to deflect the weapons as they hit some of the Trogs crushing them into the vacuum of space.
"Get behind me Wendy!" said Mike as he covered him and Wendy in a gravity shield.
"We can't fight three Knights at once" said Wendy "Not right after fighting hordes of Trogs"
"Stop the Trogs and cut off the connection to Earth. These Rangers will be trapped here." Said the Yellow Knight
"Damn it, Justin, they are going to close off the gate way, what are we gonna do?" said Mike as he struggled to keep his shield up.
"You're going to let them close it, while everyone has been fighting I have been creating a teather with your morphers so once you guys find James, grab him and teleport out." Said Justin over a static filled morpher communicator.
"Got it man." Said Mike as he held the shield together as the flow of Trogs stopped and retreated as did the Knights.
"Head towards the castle and back up our Lord. Leave the Rangers they aren't ever leaving here." Shouted the Green Knight as he and the other knights headed towards the battle, meanwhile on Earth, Keri and Phil finished off the last of the Trogs that were coming through. They both watched as the rip closed off and teleported to the Command Core.
"Justin why didn't you send us with them?" asked Phil as he took off his helmet
"We only had enough power to send two of you to their side and keep a constant tether to them." Explained Zordon
"It involves positive and negative morphing grid aspects and how much power we so we don't loss connection with Zordon either." Said Justin
"What's their stats over their anyway?" asked Keri as she leaned over Justin's shoulder and looked at some of the computer screens.
"In the last commucation I had with them, they we're on the defensive against a horde of Trogs and they were on the other side; I have each of their vitals on a screen to monitor them. If it came down to it I will teleport them back. In the meantime all we can do is wait." Said Justin
"More waiting. I don't want to have to wait anymore. Is there any way we can go with them?" asked Keri as she threw her helmet to the ground.
"As I explained before we risk losing Mike, Wendy and James, along with Zordon if we push the power beyond its limits." Said Justin getting annoyed and frustrated with the situation as he continued to look at the computer screens.
While on the fortress of the Elemental Knights James continued his fight against the blue Knight and each strike that his body endured the more he continued to fight harder. "I have just received word that the portal to your world is closed. There is no way you or your friend are going home." Said the Blue Knight
James made his way through the forest under the cover of some of the trees, after a secondary Elemental Blast from the Blue Knight hit James in the back sending him flying forward, his helmet hitting a tree and cracked the visor, revealing eye underneath. James started to fade in and out as his vision started to blur, he quickly turned to see a spark of blue light in the distance. He gripped his sword and took a stance as his sword started to glow, "I can do the same thing, Elemental Blast!" said James as he swung his sword and a red energy blast headed toward the Knight.
The blue knight then swung another elemental blast towards James, but this time it had collided with James's attack as James limped towards the knight and unleashed another Elemental Blast, pushing all three attacks onto the Blue knight. The impact created a crater in the ground and a large cloud of smoke in the air. James limped towards the edge of the crater as his uniform as nearly torn apart and his helmet cracked open. His wound poured blood as he feel to his knees. The smoke soon cleared and standing in the crater was a young woman with brown hair, with broken armor hanging on her and on the ground. Her eye bleeding from the scar across her face as she holds her weapon tightly in her hand, "It can't be you." Said James between breaths
"Yes, I am Jessica Santos, and I will kill you now." Said the blue knight as she raised her weapon in the air and rushed towards James. As she rushed towards James, the other Elemental Knights arrived on the scene and started to charge their weapons, but they were thrown by a blast from Mike as he swung his Gravity Sickle. The Knights stood up as mike and Wendy come on to the battlefield, but it didn't matter as the Hydro sword tore through James's chest. His eyes go white as he coughs up blood, Wendy and Mike watch in shock. The Knights look on as they get ready to fight Mike and Wendy. The Blue Knight starts to pull the sword out of James, but as she does his weak hand grabs onto the blade. "What are you doing?" The blue knight struggled more and more trying to pull out the sword.
"Elemental Energize" James said in a zombie like voice as his body was engulfed in flames. The Blue knight tried to turn away but James stood up and walked towards her and started to glow bright red as the fires that surrounded him grew white in intensity. He continued to walk towards her and said "I've had enough of your evil on this and any world. I've had enough!" as he started to glow bright that it blinded the Knights and Rangers that were on that battlefield.
"James!" shouted Wendy as she ran towards James
"Bro!" screamed Mike as he ran after Wendy as the sky grew dark.
In the center of the crater James grabbed onto the blue knight and shouted "Super Nova!" as a white light and flames covered the entire crater. "You won't destroy me!" shouted the blue knight as she was covered in white flames. Time seemed to slow down as Mike grabbed onto Wendy and formed a Gravity shield around them. As the Pink Knight took out her space kunai and threw them into the ground teleporting the Knights from the bright light that was consuming the area. On Earth Justin, Keri and Phil watched as the screens showing the Rangers vitals were irregular and the power level coming from James were off the charts.
"This was just like when Sir. Ceto went critical. Get them out of there." Said Phil
"I'm on it!" Said Justin as he started to scramble and start the process of teleporting the Rangers back to Earth.
"What's taking so long?" asked Phil watching the computer screen crack and break
"I have to reverse the process and cut the tether so the Knights don't follow back here" said Justin as he continued to hit buttons.
Once the light dissipated and the smoke in the air cleared Mike lowered his shield and ran into the crater, sliding down the side, followed by Wendy. Each of them nervous about what they were about to find. As the rangers made it to where James and Jessica fought, nothing could be found except ashes and the broken helmet of the now former Red Ranger. Wendy fell to her knees grabbing the helmet in her hands as tears fell from her eyes. Mike clenched his fist and slammed it into the ground with such force breaking his hand in the process shouting the only word in the cold dead air , "No!" as they were teleported to back to the Command Core.
