I was completely perplexed that Ike had found us within twenty-four hours of our capture. We had no choice but to run, and running wasn't going to be an option considering our current state from last nights escape.

"Now do I have to do this the difficult way, or the hard way?" Ike stated pulling Ragnell out. "Besides, I don't think Ashnard will like you in pieces!"

"Wait, Ashnard?" I questioned.

"I guess I've said too much, now shut up and come with me or I will kill you!" Ike demanded.

"Alright alright" I said in defeat.

"Wait, what?" Micaiah blurted out in shock "Were giving in?"

"Micky, what other choice do we have? We have to admit defeat, unless you wanna die. You and I both are in no condition to run, what makes you think we can fight?" I reasoned.

"Nathan I can't believe you, why would you even come up with that idea?" Micaiah challenge.

"Because unlike you, I'm not a crazy bitch."

"Excuse me? I saved your no good life you fucking ass hole"

"Ike can you believe this slut?" I exclaimed.

"BOTH OF YOU, SHUT THE FUCK UP NOW OR I WILL SLICE YOU BOTH IN HALF!" Ike bellowed.

Micaiah looked at me with fire in her eyes.

"Slut" I murmured.

"I can't fucking believe you, you are such an ass hole."

"Oh, I'm an ass hole? I think not, you should use your fucking brain for once and think things through you cold blooded bitch," I screamed.

"SILENCE!" Ike angrily screamed. "I'M TIRED OF YOU TWO AND YOUR POINTLESS ARGUING JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP!"

"Are you sure it was pointless?" I hinted.

"What are you talking about?" Ike questioned.

"Now Volke" I screamed.

"Wha-" Ike shouted out loud before falling to the ground with a thud.

Ike was wrestling with Volke on the ground until Volke had finally pulled out a dagger and impaled Ike with it in the neck. Before I knew it Ike had stopped struggling and just lay there, motionless.

"Is he dead?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"No, like I said, I'm not willing to kill him." Volke commented.

"Right, right, so uhhh, where did ya get that dagger? Seems badass" I questioned.

"100 coins," He demanded.

"mmm, no, I'm good." I stated.

"Well, see ya." He said breaking the long silence, and in an instant he was gone.

"Well, we should get going" I commented, "Unless you wanna die."

"I am not going anywhere with you," Micaiah objected.

"What? Why? Oh, listen, it was all apart of the distraction I promise, I didn't mean any of it," I assured.

"I still can't believe you said that to me," she replied.

"Look, if you would have rather died or be captured than you can stay here," I announced "Now are you coming or not?"

She didn't respond, I had realized she would most likely be pissed at me but I would have thought she'd get over it once I explained it to her but apparently she had different plans.

"Come on Micky," I pleaded.

"Fine" She said assertively, "But were not on good terms yet."

"Okay, okay, Micaiah i'm really sorry but I didn't know you would be really angry at me like this, I just needed a distraction, could you please forgive me?" I asked.

"Yup" She cheerfully replied while skipping ind, icating she was gonna lead the way, "I was just messing with you, I knew something was up, that's why I played along."

"You're real childish you know?" I sighed.

"Oh come on, don't blame me for lightening the mood." She replied.

"I don't see how acting pissed toward me "lightens the mood." I corrected, her response was to look at me a roll her eyes. I sighed once more and continued walking with her.

"Hey, so, where are we going anyways?" Micaiah asked, honestly I didn't know, I tried searching for an answer but nothing came to me, I kept thinking and thinking and still, nothing, until it finally hit me.

"Holy shit, why didn't I realize it earlier?" I questioned myself. "Remember what Ike said?"

"Not really," She admitted.

"Well he said some shit about Ashnard," I commented, "Which means that-" I paused searching for an answer, and what I had come up with horrified me, I looked over to Micaiah and had come to a conclusion that she figured out the answer to for she had looked like she had just seen a ghost.

"I can't believe it," She said amazed and terrified at the same time.

"You're telling me, he was my hero, and now, he's working with the enemy." I added.

"What do we do now?" She asked with a look of confusion on her face.

"I suppose the fate of our country is in our hands now," I stated, the idea of what I had just said was pretty horrifying, I can't match Ashnard's swordsmanship, nor the blacknight, and mine is no where close to Ike's either. I can't believe I had fucked this fire emblem plot this badly, this is worse than a nightmare. I contemplated the situation more while pacing back and forth, I couldn't believe that Ike would turn so quickly, there had to be a reason for why.

"NATHAN!" Micaiah finally screamed at me.

"WHAT!?" I asked back startled.

"I asked you a question like a million times!" She replied clearly agitated.

"Shit sorry, I was-"

"Thinking, I know," Micaiah interrupted. "I asked what Ike being teamed up with Ashnard has to do with where we have to go."

"Oh," I said, I thought about the question and came up with a pretty decent answer, "Well I think we go to the farthest edge of Tellius and never show our faces again." She just looked at me with a serious expression clearly not wanting to joke around. "Okay, sorry, logically if they have taken over Daein and Daein is at war with Crimea, we should probably go and find Elincia."

"Who!?" Micaiah asked.

"Long story, look we should just find Volke, he will know everything, but he could be anywhere by now-OH SHIT!" I screamed as volke appeared from thin air, "H-how the..." I was speechless, he honestly has scared the shit out of me.

"I heard my name," Volke commented.

"Yeah, look," I said, "I will get straight to the point, I need to know everything that happened at the inn when Ike went berserk for the first time." I needed to know everything in order to figure out my next plan of action against Ashnard and his "Crew".

"And, what makes you think I know what happened then?" Volke questioned. I was slightly pissed off by his answer and I think I may have let him know that too.

"Volke, I know you where there, you are a lousy assassin stalking Ike and you were actually supposed to kill him when he went berserk but you failed like always, I also know about you and Greil, I know you where there, now start fucking talking!" I demanded, he obviously didn't like the way I spoke to him for the second I finished my sentence he pushed me against a tree a put his hand on my neck as if to choke me out. I could hear Micaiah gasp in horror in the background.

"Lousy, huh?" Volke questioned, "Now how the hell do you know about my past?" I opened my mouth to speak but nothing came out, he scowled at me and pushed my neck harder against the tree, I could feel myself losing consciousness and I started struggling by trying to push him off of me but he was way to strong.

"Please Volke, put him down I beg of you!" Micaiah screamed aloud. I mentally noted to thank her later. He growled at me and let go of me, I fell to the floor promptly, coughing and attempting to catch my breath. "He is just irritated right now, please, we need your help," She explained.

After a long pause of him thinking, he finally answered, "Well as you are probably well aware," he paused and looked at me with a death stare, "I have been following him for a while," He continued, "I feared something like this would happen, he slaughtered just about everyone there, even Titania. The only one's who made it out alive were Mist and Elincia, if she is who you are looking for than I advise going back to the inn. She should be hiding in the general area awaiting Geoffrey and Lucia, other than that I know nothing." I knew she must have been alive, Elincia is our only hope at this point, maybe Crimea will be able to take down Daein, but than again probably not.

"Do you have any clue what happened to Mist?" I asked suddenly to which he only replied with a shake of his head, I debated whether I should tell him or not but I decided it would be best not to.

"Thank you," Micaiah finally said after a bit of an awkward pause.

"Now to make sure you never talk shit about me again, I will do this," Volke stated.

"What are you gonna-AAH FUCK," I screamed as a small knife came towards me, I attempted to evade it but it was thrown way too fast. Before I knew it I had a knife stuck in my thigh. I cursed aloud grabbing the surrounding area and looked at where Volke was last standing, but it had appeared as if he vanished. Micaiah ran over to me with an astonished look upon her face.

"Are you okay?" She asked with sympathy.

"Yeah, I'm fine," I looked at the wound once more and noticed blood seeping through my shorts, I closed my eyes, took a deep breath and yanked the knife out. I screamed in agony as I felt my flesh tear apart even more, I looked down and saw blood gushing from my wound, I tried to stand but Micaiah quickly forced me down and advised me to just stay seated before I tear it wide open and really mess up my leg, although the wound was as wide as a baseball and at least an inch deep. She most likely knew that I wouldn't let her use Sacrifice on me since she didn't offer once, and that would have been the first thing she would have done to any one else other than me. We argued back and forth for what the best method was, my argument was based around me just staying here and her going to look for help but her argument was based around her trying to help me in any way possible since it's just in her nature. We finally came up with a solution that included me putting my arm around her shoulder and putting almost all my weight on her and then put the remaining weight on my other leg which hadn't been completely fucked up. The system had seemed to be working for the first fifteen minutes until Micaiah got tired, I offered to stop and rest but she insisted on carrying me until she couldn't go any farther. We had only hoped we had been heading in the right direction, I didn't think Volke would lead me the wrong way even though I had been a dick to him, and with each passing minute of thinking I thought he may have still been working with Ike and he was leading us into an ambush, besides Volke was pretty elaborate, but Ike, eh, not so much.

"N-Nathan, can we please stop now, the sun is starting to set and I am super tired," Micaiah asked me, I have to admit though that it was very fun having my arm around her and stopping to chat every now and then, I had attempted to flirt with her a few times but she seemed not to pick it up so I decided to stop, it was also really awkward when ever I tried since I would compliment her and she would get all red and say "thanks?" Other than that it was a super boring and painful journey and with every step I had taken I had regretted every word I said to Volke.

"Yeah we can stop, can you go get some wood please?" I responded, she nodded and looked for some wood elsewhere which gave me some time to contemplate to myself about all of this, and only one major question was on my mind, how in the fuck did I screw up this timeline so badly? We basically flipped the timeline on its ass, spun it around and it threw up. That's about the equivalent to how shitty the situation we are in right now, and in all this shit that had happened I completely forgot about that little shit Sothe, huh, although I kinda just had wished he was dead or never to be seen again. Suddenly my mind wondered to how to truly defeat Ike and Ashnard and The Black Knight, we would need a crack team of mercenaries and a hell of a leader, I finally inferred that it would be practically impossible. In all my games that I had beaten Fire Emblem on hard I had all of the Greil mercenaries and since they where dead and everyone else is no where to be seen I determined we were fucked and doomed to live our life under their rule. When Micaiah came back I asked her what she had thought.

"Honestly, I have no clue," She admitted.

I thought for a second and finally it hit me, "Hey Micky? I think I just found their weakness as a team," I commented with the most stupid grin on my face, "They will argue back and forth when it comes to who will be king, we just need to wait and they will eventually take care of themselves!" If it was anything that history class had taught me it was that when in a position of power, especially a monarchy there will never be peace. Or so I had thought.
