Chapter 10
October 31st 1991
Dumbledore was sitting at the Head table, providing the perfect image of the doting wacky grandfatherly figure he wanted everyone to believe he was. On the inside though, he was all nerves. The past week had done nothing for his confidence. First Nicholas had appeared demanding to see the protections on the stone that, as he had put it, was so confident in, he would hide it in a school filled with underage children. Albus would never admit how much Nicholas really did scare him when he was in a rage. The day after that, Minerva had approached him on the same subject. Only she wanted to know why Albus had lowered the level of the enchantments within the trials they had put into place. Obviously, he couldn't tell her that the stone was only to act as bait so he could check on the Dark Lord's progress. He had, had to elude to the other protections being meant to weaken a thief whilst the last would trap them until help could arrive. Then the cherry on the cake was when Fillius approached him, with Snape of all people. Speaking of suspicions they had of his choice for a Defense Instructor. There had been a point where Albus might have told Severus the truth, but the dour potions Master had become distant to Albus during the course of the term. He supposed it wasn't all that surprising, since his one piece to control the man had been the Potter brat. And now that was out of his reach for another few years yet. That didn't make any less frustrating though.
At least he would have some quiet tonight. Every Halloween since 81 had been quiet. He doubted very much that would change. It was as this thought was going through his mind that Quirell came running into the Great Hall screaming about a troll in the Dungeons. If Albus had ever wanted to use the killing curse in his life. It was right then and there.

Harry leaned back, cracking his spine on the back of his chair with a satisfied sigh. It was Halloween, and he was stuck doing homework. He looked over at Edmund, who was a fifth year who had been nice enough to tutor Harry in Transfiguration. Harry was already told he was at the top of his Class, but Transfiguration was such a complicated branch of magic. There were just to many variables to consider when casting. Sadly, having to Tutor Andrew in almost all of their other classes didn't help. Andrew was a great guy, and smart as anything, but Merlin help him if he could sit still long enough to crack a book. Edmund had been a Godsend. His Teacher had noticed that Harry was beginning to struggle when it came to the practical application of the spells, so he recommended Edmund as a Tutor.
Edmund was patient, understanding, and best of all, not afraid to hex someone who was being a nuisance. The first time Edmund had tried teaching Harry a spell, Andrew had proceeded to make an ass out of himself by asking Harry for help on his potions assignment. Because he 'forgot' that it was due the next morning. When he continued to bother Harry about it, Edmund had placed him in a full body bind, then leaned up against the desk to observe them for the next hour and a half.
Andrew still continued to push the limits when ever they were studying. It had become a habit lately. Edmund would come to their room, and use a spell to keep Andrew out of their hair. Then while he was helping Harry, Andrew had find a way to remove whatever hex or charm had been put on him. It was the only time Harry ever saw him read something other than fiction. The present spell was, ironically enough, a transfiguration charm. He had turned poor Andrew into a tiny spider monkey who was also silenced.
"Say, Edmund?"
"hmmm?"
"What spell was that? Cuss I thought that Human transfiguration was extremely difficult."
Edmund smiled at Harry and erected a privacy ward so Andrew wouldn't hear. " You're right. There's to much going on in a Human body to perform a proper transfiguration Safely. Not even a fully trained Healer would likely risk it. The spell I used was a Revealous charm. It forces an individual into the form they would take if they chose to become an Animagus."
Harry glanced back at his friend, still in monkey form flipping through pages furiously.
"Isn't that a bit unfair though? it's not like he can reverse it?"
"Not now, no, but once he finds out that that's actually his Animagus form? How much do you want a bet he's gonna start hitting the books to learn how to do it on his own?"
Harry's eye's widened in realization. "That's very sneaky of you. So, when do I get to see mine?"
"Maybe another day. Give Andy there a chance to sweat it out." he said with a smirk.
Harry laughed at that, Edmund was to smart for his own good sometimes.
It didn't take long after that and they rapped things up. Edmund, as usual, reversed the spell on his way out the door so he wouldn't have to listen to it. Sadly for Andrew, but much to Harry's amusement, he had forgotten the silencing spell.

Katelyn considered her self to be a very patient woman. She was more then capable of keeping her self cool and collected, even in very stressful situations. She thought she had handled the news of being pregnant rather well. That having been in said, if Carl didn't stop babying her, the Wizarding World was gonna be in the market for a new Arch Mage.
"CARL!" She yelled to get his attention as he was, once again, trying to run away with all the paper work for the shop/;,..
"Yes dear?"
"Don't you 'yes dear' me! Hand over that file!"
"I don't know what your talking about." he said banishing the folder into his office.
Katelyn had to take a deep breath before speaking again. "Carl, we agreed that I would take it easy with work and not go into the shop during the pregnancy."
"Exact-"
"I never said ," she continued, effectively cutting him off. "that I was going to stop working all together. Now, either you let me do the paperwork for the Orders, special events, and finances, or I'm going into the shop." she said earning a worried look from Carl.
"I just want to make this as easy and stress free for you as possible."
"Carl, I'm pregnant, not Crippled. The worst I can suffer from Paper work is a headache and a couple paper cuts. Besides, I'm estimated four months in. I think we're past the point where you can remove 'all' the stress from my life." she said exasperated.
Carl sighed in defeat. There was just no arguing with this woman. Pulling his wand out he summoned the folder back and handed it to her. Wandless magic had it's ups and downs. Certain spells he could do with out even really thinking about it, but those were all detection spells for potions and such, nothing that affected the physical. Those spells he needed to put some thought into. Handy around the house maybe but in the heat of a duel, forget it.
Katelyn smiled at him and then glanced at her watch. "Carl Aren't you meeting with someone today?"
Carl looked Puzzled for a moment before he smacked himself in the face.
"I forgot! I'm supposed to meet Molly and her Husband to go see Sirius! What time is it?!"
"It's half past noon, you better hurry up, it'll be after Five over there by now."
"CRAP!" he yelled, putting his wand away and running for the stairs.
"Three. Two. One..." Katelyn counted down with satisfaction as Carl's head reappeared at the top stair.
"We're still on for this evening right?"
"Yes Carl, now hurry it up." she said with a laugh. Somethings were just that predictable.

Luna Lovegood was anything but stupid. Oh, she enjoyed acting the part of being a bit odd, it was true. But it was all an act. Her Mother, who had died last year, had been a Seer. A gift she had passed on to Luna. It was a misnomer that all Seer's saw the world the same. That they simply saw the future, or made Prophecies. No, every Seer was Different. Her Mothers gift allowed her the ability to read the energies of the world. Things like a persons Aura was easy for her to see, but it went beyond that. She also had the ability to sense the intent of magic. When she was younger, her mind accounted for this by creating imaginary creatures for different emotions or spell types. Although her mind didn't often use these images any more, it was still amusing to bring up as a random topic. That's not to say she couldn't see into the future. But it was only her own, and only pertaining to her connection to a certain someone. Her supposed 'Soul Mate'. Her Parents had told her that her visions would begin when destiny began building a road for the two of them to meet. In their case, it had brought up allot of problems. Her Father, Xenofilius Lovegood, the Defacto Head of the Family, was born Xenofilius Malfoy.
From what she had Gathered. He was supposed to marry Narcissa Black, while her younger Sister Andromeda Married the heir to the Malfoy Family, Lucius. Andromeda had had other ideas though. She had run away and eloped to a muggle born named Tonks. This had given her Father courage to turn and run also. Her Father still refused to this day to explain what had happened to his parents after that. But she could guess. The War had still been in full swing back then, and the Malfoy's were known supporters of you-know-who. More then likely they were killed and he Disowned. The result of them running from their marriages was that now Narcissa was Married to Lucius who was now Lord Malfoy and head of his own Family Name. It was with this knowledge that she was worried. As she had had her first Vision Last Night, she was Hoping it was proven wrong. She was only Ten. In the Vision her Friend From over the hill, Ginny, showed up at her door escorted by her parents. If it happened, then she would know it was a vision and not a dream. But if they didn't come though, she could breathe a little easier.
Glancing at the time she noted it was already after three. Maybe they weren't coming, maybe it was a false alarm. Sadly, it was not to be as she soon heard a knock on her front door, followed by her Fathers quick strides to answer it. Only a few minuets later she heard her Father calling up to her.
"Luna? You're friend Ginevra is here." came her Fathers voice from the stairs.
"Coming!" she called back swallowing her worries before getting up and going downstairs.

Molly Weasley had been known to become a bit...frazzled at the best of times, but she always managed to pull through. Carl, on the other hand, seemed to have made it his life's mission to try and drive her to drink. They had been waiting for over an hour now and still no sign, nor word from him.
"Arthur, you don't suppose something happened, do you?" she asked a bit nervous.
"Well," Her husband answered trying to calm his wife with out potentially setting her off. "He is the Arch Mage Molly. He probably got held up on something political."
"Perhaps your right..." Molly began to relent, but she was soon distracted by some kind of commotion on the other side of the bank.
"What the devil is going on over there? It's not like the Goblins to kick up such a fuss..." Arthur said curiously.
No sooner had he spoken, then did Carl appear from the other side of the gathering crowd. It seemed he was attempting to be polite in waving off the Goblins.
"Really, that's very kind of you, but I have people waiting for me..."
"Our apologies you're Eminence," said one Goblin he thought looked familiar. "but the Bank Head insisted that you see him at you're earliest convenience."
by now Molly and Arthur had approached them and were listening in.
"Carl, we've waited this long, whats a bit longer? This sounds rather urgent." Molly said with a concerned look.
Carl let out a relenting sigh. The problem with dealing with Goblins was, everything sounded urgent when it came to gold. especially the Emrys Vaults. This was one of those times he really wished he wasn't the Arch Mage. Nodding his assent to the Goblin he thought he recognized he followed him to a hallway, when he noticed that Molly and Arthur weren't behind him.
"Aren't you coming?"
"It probably has to do with you're personal Vaults, it would hardly be-"
"Oh no you don't Moll's. I wanted to run away, you talked me into staying, so now you get to come with." he said raising an eyebrow daring her to challenge him on it.
"Very well. Even after all these years, Carl, you're still such a wimp." Molly said following him with an amused Arthur not far behind.
"In my defense, you were down right scary when someone got you Hacked off."
"Which was caused by you most of the time."
"Don't you act all innocent." Carl said throwing a playful glare back at her. "Remember that year we had the BBQ in my back yard."
"Oh yes, if I recall you squirted ketchup in my face."
"Only because you turned my burger into a bat that ended up biting me." Carl dead panned
"Did I do that?"Molly asked attempting to sound innocent but failing miserably.
The banter continued all the way to the Bank Heads Office door.
The outside of the Office looked much the same as the rest of the bank. Done in all polished white Marble with a black Marble floor. Even the doors to the office were made from Marble. But they were also the most defining feature there. They were exquisitely carved to depict a Goblin Hoard in the midst of battle against Wizards, Centaurs, and Werwolves. In the Center of the Hoard as the obvious leader was a Goblin wielding a great Claymore like it was a twig in the hand of a child. The Carvings weren't moving but that was hardly surprising. Goblins had little patience or things like a wizarding portrait. Their belief was that, that which was dead ought to stay so. It had been that way for centuries. Ever since a particularly greedy dark wizard decided to use Inferi to attack the bank as a distraction while they got the gold. The Goblins had managed to capture the man, but the damage had been done.
The doors opened finally and the inside was much the same as the out at first glance. However, there was a long red carpet that led up to a desk. There was suits of armor and different weapons lining the walls. Behind the desk sat one of the Oldest Goblins any of them had ever seen. He looked like he might keel over at any moment. Next to him, Carl noticed with a bit of trepidation, sat the Claymore he had seen depicted on the door.
"You're Eminence, I presume." greeted the elderly Goblin from behind his desk.
"And I suppose you are the Head of this Branch?"Carl returned just as neutral as the goblin.
"Indeed. I do apologize for the inconvenience of this but it was rather sudden."
"Perhaps, you could explain what was sudden first."
"Ah, of course." the Goblin said with a toothy shark like grin.
The old Goblin then raised his hand and erected some of the strongest privacy wards Carl had ever felt. Clearly, this old Goblin knew a thing or two.
"Now then. I'm afraid you and I were never formally introduced." he said gesturing for them to sit .
"No, I was told you were attending a Summit meeting in Brisbane."
"Yes, Rotten timing that. The Heads of all the branches only meet twice in a century. A shame you're visit co-en-sided with one such meeting." The goblin said removing a few tumblers and filling them with a sweet smelling drink he ha removed from his desk.
Carl excepted the glass handed to him with a polite nod. Both Weasleys' declined the offer. Once pleasantries had been exchanged Carl broached the subject.
"Might I Inquire Mr.-"
"Jadescyth, no Mr. just, Jadescyth."
"Jadescyth then. Why did you call me here?"
"Ah, as I am sure you're Eminence is aware. I am in charge of only two vaults my self."
Carl nodded to this. The two oldest vaults in the British branch were the Emrys and Le'Fey vaults. If Jadescyth was in charge of the Emrys, it only made sense for him to watch the Le'fey fortune as well.
"Well, apparently. The Lefey Vault has become...active."
Carl blinked. "What does that mean?"
"It means, Lord Arch Mage, that an Heir befitting the conditions set to the Vault has arisen."
"Morgana has an heir? Who is it?"
The Goblin smiled before answering much to the shock of all in the room.
