Chapter 10

Yuchita's POV

I stared at the pile of ashes that used to be Kagura. I cried and screamed, and stopped when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked up to Aisu, who was quite pleased with himself.

"You! YOU B*! #$D!"

I swung at him, but he quickly grabbed my wrist. "Now now, Dragon Witch. Let's not go around causing violence." He smiled. I screamed and swung at him again. The results were the same.

"Stop fighting, you're going to lose anyway." He chuckled. I drew back my head, and slammed it into his face. He instantly let go and staggered back, holding his nose.

He examined his hand, seeing the red stream running down his arm.

"So you wanna fight, huh?" His arms were set fire, "Show me what you got, Dragon Witch."

Maka's POV

I couldn't help but stare at Yuki. She did mention that she killed innocent people for training, but it did not hit me this hard. Crona ran and hugged his sister as she cried into his shoulder. He petted her hair and tried his best to calm her down.

"It's okay, Yuki. It's not like you wanted to. Mother forced you to kill them. It's not your fault." But his words were no use, she cried harder and harder with each passing minute.

"Maka."

I turned to Soul as he nodded his head to the side, gesturing that he wanted to talk in private. I nodded and follow him into the woods.

"Are you okay?" He asked once we were alone. I nodded.

"Did you know?" He asked. "About the Yuki killing innocent people? Yeah..." My voice trailed over, remembering the event before.

"No. Did you know about being a weapon also?" He asked. I paused then shook my head 'no'.

"I think it's because of Papa, I'm part weapon." I thought out loud. "Well no shit! He's a weapon, and your mom is a meister. It must be some kind of DNA thing." He threw his arms in the air.

"Mutation." I corrected. "Whatever!" Soul said.

"Well, I think I can protect myself now." I bubbly said and left.

Soul's POV

"Well, I think I can protect myself now." Those words kept repeating in my head. No. I don't want her to protect herself. For some reason that just bothered me. I want to protect her... Dammit! It sounds like some teen drama! What the hell!

Yuchita's POV

I jumped, ducked, and shot fireballs. He did the same. Aisu shot five fireballs all at once. I jumped and twisted my body in order to dodge. I landed and looked up to see a foot in my face. I slid back a few foot, hitting into a wall.

"Is that all you got? What happened to your true form. The real you." He laughed. I looked at him weird.

"What are you talking about?" I asked him, and it was his turn to give me a weird look.

"You don't remember do you? When we were doing the ritual, and you just set everything on fire!" He laughed again. I shook my head.

"No. NO! I don't remember anything! Why do you want to kill me!?" I screamed. He paused and smirked. "To be the great kishin of all time, of course." He simply stated his answer.

"Well find a different witch. Maybe a frog witch, or those weird mouse witches!" I shouted. He laughed again, and it starting to annoy me.

"You see, my power is based off of fire. Fire is what dragons use. You are a dragon witch." He said. I wanted to pull my hair out. "Dragons aren't even real!" I screamed.

"Then why are you a dragon witch?" He asked. I paused and thought about it. Why am I the Dragon Witch? Mother thought the same. She was so mad when she found out.

"The scar."

"Huh?" I snapped out of my thoughts.

"The scar your mother gave you." He pointed at his neck. I put a hand on mine. "The reason why wasn't because she was mad. She was scared." He said. I am confused now. I don't get it, why would mother be scared of me?

"Why? Why would she be scared of me?" I asked him. He smiled, "Dragons witches are very rare, and for her to give birth to one, it scared her. She didn't want you to overpower her, to kill her." I stared at him, confused and scared. "But witches are based off of animals that exist. Snake witches, Hawk witches, even bugs like spiders!" I said.

He laughed. "What is so funny!?" I screamed at him.

"There are books. Very old and rare. Very hard to get your hands on them. They have records of dragons. When dragons ruled the world, where they fly free, and wasn't hiding from humans. They were real. They were vicious. Until, the humans started forming their own army. Weapons and meisters, they slaughtered the dragons. Dragons took shelter with the help of dragon witches, but they were also killed by weapons and meisters. But somehow, their DNA was transported into others blood, passing the blood from generations to generations. Without anyone noticing. Until, a lucky baby girl, is born as a dragon witch."

He looked at me after his story, smirking. I just couldn't understand. "W-well, how do they know if those girls are dragons witches?" I asked.

"Your back."

"What?"

"Your back has a scale on it. Just a very tiny patch. Very easy to miss." He said. I put my hand to back, feeling for scales, then I felt it. It felt like snake scales. My eyes grew wide.

How did I not know that!?

"So, will you please help me with my ritual?" He asked. I looked back at him, and glared.

"Like hell I will."

Yuki's POV

After my break down, I sat under a tree, as Soul fixed his bike, and Maka was checking any wounds on Crona.

"Do you want me to check your leg?" She asked. I shook my head. "It's already healing." I showed her. The wound was already formed into a scab. "Okay." She said and left.

I looked at the picture the boy had. How much I regret that moment.

"Anne..."

The boy was muttering his sister's name. His eyes opened, and he quickly got up. His eyes scanned his surroundings, and finally landed on me. He glared and jumped up, grabbing his weapons.

"Go ahead. Kill me." I said. He glared and threw knives. I closed my eyes for impact which never came. I opened my eyes, and saw Maka and Soul, in his weapon form, in front of me.

"You okay?" She asked. "What the hell were you thinking!?" Soul yelled. I stared at the boy, who was full of hate, and sorrow. I got up and walked pass Maka.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, I killed her. Anne." I apologized. His eyes widened, and he fell to the ground crying. "I'm sorry." I said again, and hugged him. Maka let go of Soul, and watched. I turned to her and smiled.

"She was so scared..." He said in between sobs. He cried for a few minutes, and finally calmed down.

"What is your name?"

"Huh?" He looked up. I smiled, "What is your name?"

"Kabuto. Sato, Kabuto" He answered. "Well Kabuto, we will leave now." I stood up and turned.

"Where are you going?" He asked. I looked back at him. "To get back my little sister." I smiled. He got up, and his eyes were different. They were full of determination. "I wanna come." He said.

I nodded. "Maka! We have a new member to our team!" I told her. She smiled.

"Great!"

Me: Yes, I ended it as a happy chappy! Very touching...Well review please!
