The Forgotten Life of Maka Alburn
Chapter: 10: Epilogue
A/N: This is it. The last chapter! It all comes down to this! It's sad, quite frankly, sense it's ending. (The story.) But I know I said it would have at least 2 more chapters, but then I realized how short they would be. So I put them together! (You' ll be able to tell) But I don't think the picky, critical readers (Such as myself) on here will necessarily enjoy this chapter because it won't go into deep detail such as my previous chapters for this story. So stick with it please. -JLyn
"Soul!" Marie called out the door after he left so rudely. Stein came up to her and put his hand on her shoulder.
"Let him go. If he wants to pout and be a baby, let him. But I assure you, he'll come back. Eventually.
For Makaanyways. He needs to get whatever it is rejecting Maka, taken care of. But when he does, he might very well not be the same Soul, we have all come to know and love." He sighed and walked in the other direction. Maka watched him leave. She turned to Marie and watched tears stroll down her cheek.
"Screw waiting." Marie said finally. She bent down, picked up the groceries she dropped earlier, and muttered things Maka was unable to distinguish. Regardless, she followed Marie into the kitchen. Marie was still muttering things while she was taking her anger out on her groceries. She watched as cans of vegetables were being slammed into the cupboard and eggs were being thrown into the fridge. She's never been like this. Maka thought to herself. After Marie was done brutally harming food objects, she disappeared into the office, which was in plain sight of the kitchen. She came out with her laptop and a sketch pad. She threw open the cover of the pad and took out a pencil from the spiral and began to sketch what looked like Soul. After about ten minutes, there was a perfect sketch of Soul. It looked as if she were looking at a picture of the boy who ran away. It was flawless. Then Marie opened her laptop and typed up a lost poster with space to include the portrait. She printed the paper and glued the drawing onto the poster.
"Perfect. Now I must make copies." She headed into the office and made multiple copies. Maka decided she would do some searching on her own, and left the house.

Maka was determined not to give up searching. But it seemed everybody else has. She kicked at the sand. Which didn't do anything. God! WHY did I kill myself? I wouldn't even wish this on Medusa! Why couldn't papa raping me stay a secret? I would've done much better with out knowing! What's the point in me knowing, anyways? What's the big deal about me knowing? Why did any of this even happen?! She thought angrily to herself. She walked to the river just outside of death city. She loved going there to watch the fish swim around. It was her stress reliever. Luckily, she has somewhat mastered touching objects that any living mundane could. Which means she can sit on the railing easily. She hoisted herself onto the railing and inhaled. She loved the scent of the river. Even though she didn't need to breathe, she still tried to, just to keep in touch with her old abilities. She glanced at the river and gasped. She saw Soul's jacket floating in the water. Instantly, she jumped into the water, landing on the jacket. But there was something under the jacket. She turned it over and saw a dead, limp body. It was Soul. His face was filthy. And blood ran down his neck. He must've slit it. His arm was still in the form of a scythe. She rubbed some of the blood off of the scythe. Suddenly, she heard footsteps. She spun around. She saw him, his Soul. It was Soul.
"Hey, Maka."
"Soul..."
A/N: So, there it is. The end of the story. I hope you guys enjoyed it. I had fun writing it. I found a story I wrote last year, based on Fullmetal Alchemist. I'll post it at some point. I'm not entirely sure when though. But pm if you liked the ending or not. I would totally appreciate it! Scionara! -JLyn
