-Chapter Ten-
"Yes, what is it? Something a matter?" Integra asked, looking up from her desk the minute I pushed open the door and peered inside.
"Uh, no" I shook my head, taking hesitant steps into the room.
"I see the uniform fits…somewhat" she commented, eyebrows furrowed as she looked to Walter in a questioning manner. "What brings you here?" she asked.
"About my stay here, it's not permeant...is it?" I quietly asked. I know it was already covered earlier when she told me that I would be staying here with them, but I didn't really accept that. I watched as she gave a heavy sigh.
"Unfortunately, yes, it is permeant. For reasons that you can figure out yourself, though if it makes you feel better you can be given permission to visit your family on special occasions" she said, adding that last part the minute she saw my sullen expression. I perked up at this, giving a small "thank you" as she nodded her head. "Is that all you came here for?"
"Yes" I nodded before turning around and started to leave.
"Hold on a minute, Ms. James" Integra called out, causing me to stop.
"Hm?"
"I have a request for you."
"What kind of request?"
"I ask that you please stay in your room for the remainder of the day" she requested.
"Okay…may I ask why?" I questioned.
"We will be having some important guests coming over and I do not wish for any interruptions or distractions" was all she responded with as she stared at me with those cold eyes of hers. Nodding my head, I left the room and started to trek back towards my own room.
-Later-
I lied sprawled out on top of my bed, lowly singing words to a song I was currently thinking of. Sometimes my voice became barely audible when I came to parts of the song where I had forgotten the lyrics. Slowly, my eyes fluttered shut as my own boredom was starting to make me sleepy. But I soon jumped and ended up falling off the bed at the sound of explosions that seemed to shake the whole mansion. "What was that?" I questioned as I pulled myself up and looked around, grabbing my guns off my bedside table and walked over towards the bedroom door.
Peeking my head out, I looked down both sides of the empty hall. Nothing was there and the only sounds I could hear were very faint and muffled as if they were floating down from one of the floors above me. The only one I could pick up on was the sounds of screams of agony. Which caused my shoulders to tense up at the memory of what had happened back at the school, shivering I quickly to re-entered my room. Shutting the door and locking it for safety measures.
But, I still didn't feel safe enough. My heart was already racing as I looked around the room, the only thing that I could really push in front of the door was the dresser. It wasn't too big and perhaps with the lack of anything in it, it would be easier to push. It wasn't. By the time, I had gotten it in front of my door, my arms ached, and my breathing was a bit labored as I stumbled over to my bed and flopped down onto it.
Drawing my knees up to my chest, I clutched on to my two weapons, eyes glued to the door as I just waited.
-Everybody's P.O.V-
Jan smiled as he plopped down onto the pile of dead bodies. Looking at the blood splattered halls as the ghouls feasted upon dead bodies. In one hand, he twirled around a dismembered hand while pulling out a phone with the other, calling his older brother, Luke. It was about halfway through their conversation that Jan found his nose twitching at a sweet-smelling scent. He hung up on his brother, smile widening even more as he stood and strutted down the hall.
Giving orders for the ghouls to stay behind as he walked further down the hall. Once he was about two floors below from where he was originally, he sniffed the air and found that the scent was now much stronger than it was before. He followed it further down the hall, stopping in front of a door where he could hear labored breathing from behind it. Grabbing the door handle, he chuckled at discovering it was locked, he found it cute how whoever was behind this door thought that'd be enough to stop him. Lifting his foot up, he kicked the door in, watching as it broke away from its hinges from the amount of pressure that had just been placed on it.
It flew forward, taking with it a dresser that had been placed in front of it. Both the door and dresser seemed to shatter into large pieces of wood the minute they crashed into the wall. "The fuck!?" a high-pitched voice cried out in shock as Kelly peered down at the destroyed door and dresser on the floor. Her attention soon turned towards the doorway as Jan strutted into the room. His golden eyes glued to her figure as he sniffed the air, yep, the scent was coming from her.
"D-don't come any closer or I'll s-shoot!" she sputtered out, quickly facing towards him and pointed her guns. Jan laughed at her poor position, arms shaking as she held up the two guns. In a blink of an eye, he was in front of her, picking her up off the bed and throwing her over his shoulder. Kelly was taken aback by his quick movements, her guns slipping out of her hands and onto her bed as she was carried out of the room. She stared down at the floor, slowly processing what had just happened before realization came over her and she started to smash her fists onto Jan's back.
"H-hey, put me down!" she shouted.
"Why would I let a sweet thing such as yourself get away?" Jan chuckled. "Didn't expect to find another virgin other than that Hellsing bitch."
"What?" Kelly questioned, stopping in her pathetic attempt at an assault to look back. Trying her best to peer at her captor's face.
"Hm, I guess after I slaughter that Hellsing bitch and the old guys. I'll just make you into my little slave, you could prove to be useful in curing those dreadfully boring days of mine" Jan mused aloud, smirking as he felt the red-haired teen tense up in his grip. Kelly started to shake at the thought of such a fate. Closing her eyes, she clasped her hands together and silently prayed for help as Jan made his way back upstairs. Her shaking got even worse at the sound of groans and flesh being ripped into as she kept her eyes screwed shut in fear of seeing what was going on around her.
Her nose also scrunched up at the stench of death that wafted up to her nostrils. But, eventually after hearing Jan give an order which ceased the sound of flesh being ripped into and left the sound of only grunts and groans of whatever monsters were lurking around. Slowly, Kelly opened both of her eyes and they soon widened as she took in the mass of…what did Integra call them? Ghouls? They all seemed to follow behind Jan and the ones in the front started to reach out towards her due to catching a whiff of her scent.
Blood stained their razor-sharp teeth, hands, and clothes as they groaned. But, the ghouls weren't the only things Kelly noticed as she also spotted the mutilated corpses that scattered the ground and the blood that dripped from the walls and created puddles on the floor. "Enjoying the sight, toots?" Jan threw his head back and laughed as he heard the red-haired girl gag. After that, it seemed to have grown silent between the two, the only sounds now coming from the occasional dry heaving Kelly would make and the groans from the ghouls. Tears were already starting to form in the corners of the teen's eyes as she continued to dry heave at the images of mutilated bodies that were burned into the back of her mind.
Her green eyes were glued to the floor as she tried to ignore the rotting corpses that followed closely behind her and Jan. Sometimes having to smack away their hands whenever one of them would roughly grab her hair and snap its jaw at her. Looking up, she flinched as blood sprayed everywhere and the front line of ghouls' bodies fell to the floor into pieces. "The fuck? Who the fuck are you?" Jan growled as Kelly looked back to see what was angering her captor. A wide smile soon coming across her face as relief filled her chest.
"Walter!"
