A/N: Long time no see, guys! I apologize for the delay in this story. The past couple of months have been crazy and throw in a massive case of writer's block and you have the reasons for this delay in chapters. I am not promising it won't happen again, because let's face it. Spring is in the air and I have two children under the age of 7 who love to be out doors. I want to thank you all for the continued support by reviewing, favoriting and following not only this story but myself as well. It means the world to me. Thank you! I hope you enjoy this chapter.
I was correct in thinking we would be holed up in that room, listening to the Mikaelson's history, so I wasn't surprised when Isa let out a frustrated sigh and voiced her disdain for their drawn out life story.
"Well, while that was very informative," she spoke, making their past sound like anything but, "I still want to know why I should trust any of you to be near my family?"
"I. Am. His. Mate." Rebekah ground out. "I would never let any harm come to him."
I smirked as Isa scoffed. "Please. Even if I could believe you, what about your family? You have a spirit mother who is hell bent on destroying your family. A hybrid brother who, according to your past, has no qualms in taking and or killing what or who any of you hold dear. Oh and let's not forget dear Elijah here. Mr. Compassionate himself. Always looking and trusting the "good" in people, even the ones who don't deserve it."
"How dare you-"
I sat back and watched as Isa stood and stalked over to Rebekah.
"How dare I? Since I've known you, which has only been a day or so, you have only been out for what you want. Never once did you take into account my father or what he would like. You waltz around thinking everything should be handed to you because you are an Original vampire. You broke into my room, not once but twice, trying to take what you think is yours, even after I warned you to back off. So excuse me if I don't thinking trusting my father's life to you and yours is such a great idea."
By the end of her speech, Isa was nose to nose with Rebekah. I had to discreetly adjust myself because a confident and protective Isa is sexy as hell. I couldn't wait to get her back to our room so I could…
I was snapped out of my fantasy when I heard the Chief's voice. Looking at the group in front of me, I shook my head at the chastised looks on both Isa and Rebekah's faces.
"Sorry, Dad," Isa mumbled as she made her way back to my side, plopping down on the couch beside me with a dejected sigh.
"Look," Charlie began. "It sucks what your mother has put your family through. I understand that I am your mate," he said looking at the blonde vampire, "but Isa is my daughter. You will treat her with respect, just as I expect her to at least remain civil to you. Now, while you two were bickering, I have made my decision."
He turned to look at Isa and I knew whatever he was about to say, she was not going to like. I leaned in and spoke in her ear.
"Whatever he says, you need to remain calm. If you don't, you are going to push him away."
She gave a miniscule nod, leaned further into my side and locked eyes with her father.
"I am going to to back to New Orleans with Rebekah and her brothers. I owe it to not only her, but myself, to see this relationship through. Now, I understand you are going back to Forks, and while I don't think you should, I know you want to settle things in your life before you move on with Damon and go who knows where. All that I ask, is that if you need help with the shifters in La Push, you call and let me know. I will be by your side as soon as I can."
"Ok, Dad." While she may sound calm, I could feel the tension in her body, and it only ratcheted up when she made eye contact with Rebekah, who was smirking at her after hearing the Chief's decision.
"That's enough, Rebekah!" Charlie scolded his mate, without even turning around. "I will not stand for your childish antics. We will be working on our relationship. I didn't say we would fall right into one. Right now, I don't even like you, let alone love you."
"Charlie-"
"No," he cut her off. "You've been antagonizing my daughter since we've met. You're petty, selfish and cruel. Just because I feel the pull towards you, doesn't mean we will be together. You need to grow up before we even think about having a relationship outside of friendship."
I smirked at the look of shock on her face. When I looked at her brother's to judge their reactions, Elijah looked as stoic as he normally does while Klaus' eyes danced with mirth. What I wouldn't give to be going with them, just to watch the Original bitch get put in her place.
"Now, I assume we are leaving today, so I am going back to my room with Bella and to pack. I will meet you in the lobby in one hour." He turned to Isa and held out his hand. "Let's go, Bells." She place her hand in his and they headed towards the hotel room door, while I followed behind.
"Of course, Charlie. We will meet you once you are finished. Please don't rush on our account." Elijah nodded at us from his seat, while Klaus stood to follow us to the door.
"I would like to offer my assistance, to help with your pack problem in Forks."
Isa sighed. "I don't have a "Pack problem, Klaus."
I rolled my eyes. Leave it to my Isa to think she can handle a bunch of teenage wolves with just her sharp words.
"Just as well, I would still like to accompany you back home. I am intrigued that they take wolf form and wonder if I might be able to control them as Alpha."
Isa shrugged and started walking towards the bank of elevators, calling back over her shoulder. "It's a free country, Klaus. You can go wherever you like."
"Excellent. I will meet you in Forks then."
I chuckled as Isa just waved her hand in his direction as the doors opened to the elevator she had called. We rode to our floor in silence, which isn't surprising because all three of us are emotionally stunted.
When we entered our room, I watched as Isa continued on towards our bedroom, only stopping when the Chief called out to her.
"Bells, I know youre upset that I am going with them. You have to understand-"
"Dad!" she interrupted him. "I get it. I do. She's your mate," I laughed at her shudder as she spoke that word, "but I don't have to like the fact that you are going to be living with them. I don't trust her."
Charlie sighed and walked to her side. "You will have to get to know her in order to trust her. I'm not saying you have to like her, but I need you to be civil towards her when you are around each other, especially if we work out."
Isa made a gagging face before she agreed. "I am only doing this for you, Dad. I promise to make nice with her when we are in the same air space."
"That's all I ask, Kid. Now, give your old man a hug, so I can pack and get out of here."
Isa hugged him and he came and shook my hand before making his way to his room to pack up his belongings.
"I love you, Dad. Be careful."
"Ditto, kid."

Charlie left twenty minutes later, while Isa locked herself in the bathroom, hating having to say goodbye to her father. She emerged only after she heard the door click shut behind him, making her way out to the balcony. I moved behind her, wrapping my arms around her waist and resting my chin on the top of her head.
"He's going to be alright, Isa. They won't let anything happen to him, especially since he is your father."
Isa scoffed. "Rebekah would purposely watch him get hurt just to stick it to me."
I shook my head and turned her in my arms so I could look her in the eyes as I spoke.
"You're wrong, Isa. Not only would she not allow anything to happen to him for the fact that he is her mate, but I think you scared the shit out of her and Elijah earlier."
Isa rolled her eyes, but I could see the smile taking shape on her face, lighting up her eyes as she remembered holding them in her shield and tossing them around like they were dolls and not the 1,000 year old supernaturals they were.
"Im sure they have encountered all types of gifts, Isa, but to see one so strong in someone so young to our world, frightened and intrigued them. If you are this strong now, how strong are you going to be as you get older and gain more experience?"
"Ok, Damon. I'll trust your judgment on this. I have to. My dad deserves to finally be happy and if his happiness lies with Rebekah," she ground out, "then I will back off and let them figure out their relationship."
"Good," I leaned in and kissed her lightly before pulling back and speaking against her mouth. "How about we continue our honeymoon?"
I didn't give her a chance to answer before I threw her over my shoulder and smacked her ass, as we made our way to the bedroom. I tossed her in the center before following her body with my own, stretching out so I was nestled between her thighs. Her giggles turned into breathy moans as my hands lightly roamed her tight little body.
"Damon," she moaned as she burrowed her hands into my hair and giving a tug, trying to bring us face to face. I complied only because I wanted to taste her again and taste her I did. All night long.

We woke the next morning, knowing we were heading back to Forks and dreading it for different reasons. I didn't want to share my Isa with anyone, let alone high school boys. It didn't help that Isa laughed at my scowl.
"Damon, you have nothing to worry about."
"I'm not worried about them. I'm pissed I won't be able to feed from them, especially after they make passes at what is mine."
"Excuse me?" She growled, narrowing her eyes at my choice of words.
"Oh, make no mistake, Sweetcheeks. You. Are. Mine." I punctuated each word with a hard kiss and a tap on the ass, before shoving her towards the closet. "Go pack, Isa. We need to get a move on."
She threw one last glare in my direction before doing as she was told. When she emerged, I took the bag from her, grabbed her hand and pulled her out of the hotel room. We made it downstairs and were heading to the valet, when Klaus appeared in front of us.
"I thought you left last night when your family left?" Isa asked.
"No, darling. I wanted to get a taste of Vegas before I left for your home."
"Please feel free to stay here longer," I said.
"No, thank you, Salvatore. I am actually looking forward to seeing Spoons."
"Forks, idiot." Isa muttered under her breath. "Look, you can't come there and cause problems. We've got our hands full the way it is, we don't need you pisisng circles around the wolves and causing more issues."
He held up three fingers. "Scouts honor. No pissing circles."
Isa giggled before catching my look of incredulity at her joking with him and settled down. "Whatever. Just behave or I'll find a way to neuter you."
Klaus smirked before disappearing just as the valet pulled our car under the portico. I tipped him, grabbed the keys and threw our bags in the trunk before opening the door for Isa and handling her into her seat. Once I was sure she was good, I jogged to the driver's side, got in and drove us to the airport.
Getting through check in and security went quick and before we knew it we were boarding the plane and preparing for our flight to Forks. Once we were in the air I tucked Isa under my arm and spoke lowly, so only she could hear me.
"Might want to take a nap, Sweetcheeks. I have a feeling this is going to be the calm before the storm before all hell breaks loose."
"Ugh. I know. I've been feeling that since I woke up this morning. I don't think I can sleep, but I do need to relax. Know of any way I can achieve that, husband?" she whispered huskily in my ear.
"Naughty girl." I gasped in fake shock. "Go to the bathroom. Ill meet you there in a couple of minutes. Leave the door unlocked." I watched as she swayed her ass down the aisle and barely managed to wait a minute before I left my seat and joined her in the tiny bathroom.
Ten minutes later, we were back in our seats, both relaxed and Isa was now a card carrying member of the Mile High Club. Isa was curled into my side, humming to herself, while I was making contingency plans for the trouble I just knew was going to find us back in Forks.
