New Chapter Wooooooo!

Disclaimer: Still don't own anything... sadface :(

When they finally went home, each girl had a dress and shoes, Anna having found a pair of red flats with black lace over them. Logan stopped her on her way to her room.

"Hey kid, have fun?" He asked, knowing what a powerhouse Kitty was when it came to shopping.

"Yeah, we all found dresses, it actually was really fun, I wasn't expecting to be excited for the dance, I guess it's just Kit's enthusiasm catching on." She told her dad, laughing at the memory of Kitty running through the aisles with a tiara on her head screaming about how perfect it was.

"So who are you goin' with?" he asked, as she had been trying to keep that bit of information hidden from her father, knowing what his reaction would be.

"Uh, Remy asked me…" she said quickly, then winced awaiting his reaction.

Wolverine growled, "Gumbo better keep his hands to himself." He snarled, which Anna was used to as it happened often.

"We're just friends Logan, what's your problem with him anyway? He's never done anything to me besides be my friend!" She glared at him, frustrated at his reaction. "And let's not forget, he was my only friend when I first came to live here!"

He sighed, "Just, be careful darlin'. Kid's got a lot of demons, and I don't want you caught up in his mess." Anna just walked away. She put her dress away and threw herself on her bed, screaming into her pillow. She sat up and saw Remy standing in her doorway, smirking.

"What's de problem Chérie?" he asked her.

"Logan thinks I should stay away from you," she told him, and the smirk fell off his face as he walked towards her. "He said that you have a lot of demons and he doesn't want me involved… Remy what could be so bad that he wouldn't want you around me?" Remy sighed and hugged her close.

"Je savais que ça arriverait... (I knew this would happen)" he murmured into her hair. "I'll tell ya Anna, but you may not wanna be Mon Amie after I do."

Anna looked up at him, "I'll always be your friend Remy, no matter what." And hopefully more? she thought, then waited for him to continue.

"T'anks Anna," he gave her a small smile and tugged at her white streaks. "Y'know how Robin Hood would take from de rich and steal from de poor? Well dat's what ma famille does, but we don' give de money to de poor, and we ain't as nice. Mon père's name is Jean-Luc LeBeau; he took me in off de streets when I was a kid. He also be de King of T'ieves, makin' me and mon frère Henride princes."

"Is that it? You're a thief? Remy that doesn't bother me." Anna interrupted, and Remy gave her a weak smile.

"It ain't all Chére but t'anks. Now dere's anot'er guild, de assassins; dey be nasty, killin' t'ieves all de time. A few years ago, Jean-Luc and de head of the Assassins met and decided dat dere was gonna be a truce, and moi and de daughter of the Assassin's head were gonna marry. I wasn't okay wit' dis, and neither was she, but de person who objected de most was her frère Julian. He was angry, and came t' me lookin' for a fight. I defended myself, and Julian ended up killed. After dat, de truce was broken, and I was exiled. I can never go home." He hung his head, ashamed, and Rogue wrapped her arms around him.

"Rems it was self-defense, I can't blame you for that. I bet you miss your family though," she said as he buried his head in her shoulder.

"Oui, I miss ma famille more den you can imagine Cherie, but it's de way dis has t'be. 'Sides, now I have you." He smiled down at her, not realizing how close her face was to his. Rogue bit her lip and looked him in the eye, before leaning in slightly. He followed her lead and gently touched her lips to hers for a few fleeting seconds. When they pulled away Rogue turned and blushed. "Wow," Remy murmured. " I been waitin' to do dat fo' weeks now."

"Really?" He nodded, "I have too." At this he grinned, and took her hand.

"Well Cherie, how would you feel 'bout goin' on a date wit' me tonight? We can do whatever y'want." She agreed and they both went downstairs to meet up with their friends.

After dinner Kitty cornered Rogue in the hallway, "Hey! Like, what's up with you and Remy? You guys kept looking at each other and you were totally blushing!"

"Kit! Keep quiet!" Anna told her pulling Kitty into her room and shutting the door. "I need your help."

"Ooookay but first spill!" Kitty squealed.

"Remy kissed me and then asked me to go on a date with him and I don't know what to wear!" Anna rushed out, and Kitty started jumping up and down.

"Rooogue! This is huge! Okay let's see what you have 'cause you are not going dressed like a frump," she said referring to Rogue's Jeans and Sweatshirt.

"At least I'm comfortable," Rogue grumbled, and let Kitty pull her over to the closet. She threw clothes on the ground in a fury, trying to find the right outfit for Rogue. Finally she pulled out a green and gold skirt that flowed over her thighs, ending just above her knees, and a soft green tank top with gold beads the scoop neck collar. She then added very light make-up to Rogue's pale face and stepped back to look at her.

"Perfect! Remy's going trip over his own tongue when he sees you!" Kitty told her, and left to grab Jubilee and Tabitha before rushing downstairs to catch Remy's reaction. Rogue took a deep breath and exited her room, but didn't make it five steps before running into her father.

"You look nice kid," he told her. "What's the occasion?" She looked up at him and braced herself.

"I have a date… with Remy." Her father's expression turned hard, and he let out a snarl.

"I told you to stay away from him!" Logan growled, but Rogue stood her ground.

"He told me about his family, and what he used to be. It doesn't bother me any. You told me about your past, how is he any different?" Logan sputtered and she spoke before he had a chance to respond. "Now I am going on a date. I'll see you when I get back," she told him before walking away, leaving him with a dumbfounded expression on his face.
