Chapter 10: Unspoken Truth (Part 2)

The moment Sora had asked about Xion, he knew it had trigered whatever Kairi been holding back, as her face paled and her usual sparkiling eyes had duel in fear, but she quickly covered it. Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath and let it out.

"Sora...can you go and sit on the bed, please?" She asked quietly.

Confuse, he obeyed her request and sat there, while she started to pace infront him. She seemed to be trying to get her thoughts in order before telling him the truth, was what he suspected. As Sora waited, Kairi suddenly stopped and turn to him, making the brunnet straiten up, while looking up at her wide eye. Kairi then did something he supposed he should really be getting use to; she surprise him.

"Waaah!" Letting out a yelped as Kairi push him down on the bed, Sora startle mind wonder if this is how she usually discos about her past. That of course didn't make any sense, but neither the way Kairi kept nuzzling her face against his neck, or how her breast were pushing up against his chest was helping his thoughts be anymore coherent then usual and where now actually heading south.

Grasping his hands over his head, while lasing their fingers together, Kairi began to kiss up Sora's neck making him whimper. She knew how easily distracted her adolescent and hormonal boyfriend was, and knew she was cheating by trying to seduce him to distraction, but maybe I few heated kisses would jumble his brain enough to prolong their moment together without involving what Kairi had always blame for separating them in the first place. Finally pressing her lips to his, Kairi began to tease Sora's mouth flicking her tongue against it till it parted for her. Diving her tongue through, their tongues began to dance against each other, and Kairi's own thoughts began to cloud.

'Just for a little bit more...just lets us stay like this for a little bit more.' She was so into the kiss that she did not notice Sora's struggles. When Sora suddenly broke the kiss Kairi was shock, but staid quiet while they both caught their breathes.

"K-Kairi, please!" His voice was slightly hoarse and still out for breath from that kiss. His mind was still a little fuggy, but he knew the moment that Kairi began to kiss him like that, that she was trying to evade the subject now, though he still didn't understand why! Did she or did she not want to tell him? He was so confuse and his arouse mind was not helping!

As Kairi stare at the young boys eyes and saw the determination there, she knew she had lost. Letting out a defeated breath, she smile a little at the brunet, who stare at her still unsure. Pulling back, she let him sit up, though she still straddle his lap.

"You know, your a lot more restrain the I thought." She tease, making Sora blush and scratch his cheek bashfully thinking she praise him. But of course, Kairi's couldn't help, but be a little mischievous. Grasping his face with both hands, she looked at him devilishly and said, "Will have to fix that." Brushing her face against his, till her lips were close to his ear, she blew into it and then gave it a slow seductive lick all the way to the round tip. Sora shiver and his body as usual reacted swiftly to Kairi's teasing.

Smiling victoriously, at already feeling the brunet's desire rubbing against her behind, she relented and got off of the now, very disappointed teen.

"Don't worry, will finish this later." She told him winking while she sat beside him on the bed. Face reddening Sora looked down at his lap and staid quiet for a while, then after a brief silence he finally asked, "W-Well, um...are you, y-you know...gonna tell me?"

Kairi smiled again though this time sadly, Sora didn't notice since he still didn't dare look up. Closing her eyes, Kairi turn her face upward and spoke, more quietly and calmer then she felt. "It happen a long time ago...even before we both met."

Surprise, Sora looked up at her then, and waited for her to continue what she was saying. Opening her eyes then, Kairi began to tell what she remember and what she now knew...

Flashback

I had been eight, when I fist came here to Destiny Islands. My father had surprisingly suggested me and my mother move here, even though we always lived in Radiant Garden city and there's were his company was. He said it be better for both of us, that while he work there, we could enjoy life better here. Father came home on week days and on weekends he left for work, sometimes he had to stay longer because of some "business" problem. We hadn't minded much, it was beautiful here, though a little lonely for me and mom when father didn't come home for too long. It was little boring too, since I didn't know anyone then and they weren't to many children to play with. Most of them were infants too young for me to play with, well except for a one year old that seemed to had taken a liking to me.

"W-Wait you don't mean?!"

"Hee-hee, yup!"

I few moths after a move here, my mother became friend with a nice woman call Nora Hikari-who seems to have forgotten me too-must be a family trade to be forgetful.

"Kairi!"

"Hahaha! Okay, okay."

She obviously had a son, a little baby boy of one call Sora. He was so cute! And I like playing with him, I use to visit him a lot you know, just to play with him. Those were my happier memories, till I became older and began to understand things I wish I hadn't.

"Who was that one the phone just now?!" My mother Sayaka, had began to suspect my Father Ansem of being...unfaithful.

"It was just someone from work, their seemed to be a problem at the company and I need to head back there immediately."

"You said that last time! You barley stay home this days. What is really going on Ansem!?"

"What are you implying is going on Sayaka?"

"You know very well, what!"

"Sayaka, I don't have time for this!"

"YOU HAVE ANOTHER WOMAN DON'T YOU!"

CRASH!

"K-Kairi! Wha-What are you doing here!?" My mother nor my father had known I've been there, when I heard my mother accuse my father of infidelity...but I had already been suspecting for a time, that my home was not what it seemed.

"No, its alright...Yes, yes I know that...Don't worry I'll be there shortly, just wait for me and listen to the doctor understand?...I love you too."

"Daddy who was that?" I had ask my father a year after we move to the islands, and it hadn't been the last time. Many times I asked my father similar questions, once when I was older I heard him say the same 'I love you too' on the phone, but it wasn't to me or my mother. My mother had once accuse my father of being disloyal, but even before she had discover the truth, I knew. Since I was small, knowing something wasn't right was always a given, but it took for me to answer a way ward phone call to completely open my eyes.

Riiing! Riiing! Riiing!

"Hello?"

"Hello, is this daddy's phone?"

I had just turn fourteen and discover I had a half sister! No, I had two, but I learn that much later. That phone call belong to my younger sister...Xion.

"..."

"..."

My father Ansem, had a second family with another woman and two daughters. It had started as an affair till he discover the woman he had been with was pregnant and when the baby was born he had decided to move me and my mother as far away as possible so we wouldn't discover it. But it the end we both did. I hadn't told my mom about the phone call and I had told Xion that day to not call again. I couldn't help it, I was so young back then and was scared of what consequences might come of what I had just discover. A few months later my mother had called my fathers company and discover the truth from one of the workers there, who told her by accident. The next day we left the island and never looked back.

End of Flashback

Face cast down, hands fisted in her lap, Kairi tried to hold back the tears, but it seemed impossible and some leaked out.

"I had wanted to run away...to get away from it all!" As her voice began to break and her breathing became difficult from holding back the tears, she didn't stop speaking wanting to let it all out. "I wanted to get away with you! That d-day at the pier, I'd asked you to leave with me, but we been so young back then and I knew it was stupid to ask that of you when you were just a child, but...I...I-I didn't want to be alone...I j-just didn't want be alone anymore." It was too much and breaking into sobs, Kairi cover her face, not wanting to show such an ugly side to Sora.

Sora watch the weeping woman beside him, feeling her sadness and loneliness. He wanted nothing more then to take all of it away her pain, her sorrow all of it, making sure she never felt alone again. How long had this strong, brave and beautiful woman been holding all that in? Unable to tell anybody, but wanting to be understood and loved? How long had she face all this alone?

"Kairi..." Not knowing what to do in moments like this, Sora did the only thing he could do. He reach with his arms and embrace her. Surprise at the sudden warmth, Kairi finally glace to her side to find the brunets face right besides hers. Cheeks tear stain and flush seemed to pinked a little more from the affectionate hug and closeness. It's not like she wasn't use to being this close to Sora, but the way this all felt, this moment was more deeper and intimate then the others. She just shown a part of herself she had not showed to anyone, ever. Sora had just reacted with kindness and compassion, without thinking and not having any other motives but to comfort her. From this more tears threaten to fall, but this ones were more happier ones. Letting a small smile grace her lips, Kairi close her eyes and let the rest of the tears fall without remorse and reaching up with her hand, to hold the young boys arm that rested across her shoulders, she held it tight.

~.~.~.~

It had taken Kairi, a few more minutes to fully calm down, but he hadn't minded and it seemed it had been greatly appreciated by the auburn woman in his arms. Kissing his cheek, she pull away from his embrace, but held onto his hands as if still needing the contact of their link hands.

"Father, was known as Ansem the wise, and it was true. He was wise; with the company, with his projects and even helping people in his carrier...but the only thing he was never really wise was, when it came to his family." As she told him this, he could at least understand, that even those who are believe to be very smart can make the biggest mistakes.

'I may not be the smartest person around, but at least I know one thing. I will never hurt someone I care about as much as Kairi's father hurt her and her mom, and I'll definitely won't let anyone make her cry or feel sad ever again.' It was something he would forever ingrain in his heart. He never wanted to see anyone he loves, especially Kairi to be hurt like that, not ever.

"Sora, is it okay, if we stop for today? There is still things I need to tell you, but..." She trail off, unable to put in words how she felt.

Giving her a bright smile, he nodded, unable to deny her anything and understanding that she still needed time. It didn't matter, she was finally able to open up so much to him, he could give her as much time as she needed to tell him the rest. "Its okay, wanna go downstairs and get something to eat? I'm starving."

It was only and excuse to make her feel better, but it still brought a smile to her face how much he thought of her. 'For someone who's still in most ways a kid, he sure can be quite mature and understanding when he wants to be.' Keeping that thought to herself, she follow the brunet out her room and down stairs, when it occurred to her, that she never asked how did he know about Xion.

Once in the kitchen, Sora began to rummage through the refrigerator. 'Maybe there's something worth me an Kairi eating, before dinner.'

Already working for the task at hand, he didn't notice his girlfriend glancing and appreciating his behind, while he bent deeper into the fridge to get what he thought was a green vegetable, but was actually moldy cheese. "Eew!"

Discarding that, he got an idea. If he could just find some good cheese and some other condiments, he could make some sandwiches for him and Kairi, that would be good. Happy for thinking it, he renew the search for edible goods, when he heard Kairi called him.

"Sora, not that I'm not enjoy the view or anything, but...I wanted to ask, how did you know about Xion?"

At that question, he shoot up. Which had been a bad idea since his head was still inside the refrigerator and he ended up hitting the back of it, really hard.

"O-Ouch!"

Rubbing the sore spot, he glance slowly back at his girlfriend and wonder how, he was gonna explain that to her? 'Well, I'll leave that to you buddy.' His inner self, commented already fading to the back of his mind. 'Gee, thanks a lot for the support.' He grumble back. Kairi just kept staring at him, waiting and he had to swallow hard, already fearing the worst. Clearing his voice, he tried to start, "W-Well, y-you see...ahem...heh-heh, I-I actually knew Xion from a little while back...I just didn't know she had anything to do with you, till I saw her again yesterday, and thought...she kinda, looks...a little...like...you?"

Kairi now gaze at him wide eye, she had honestly not expected them to have known each other before and how while back had her boyfriend known her half sister? Curiosity and a little bit of unease made her asked then, "How long have you known her and why didn't you tell me before?"

The way his eyes waver and how he began to squirm uncomfortably, in respond to the questions, made her unease grow by the second.

"I j-just...I'm very hungry! Yeah! Lets eat first and then talk." As he turn away from her, Kairi patience had gone thin and was about to snap, when they heard what they, guess? To be Nora calling them from her room.

"Sora! Kairi! Is anybody there?!" Her voice still sounded hoarse, maybe from drinking to much sake, was Kairi's guess.

"What is it mom?!" Sora call back, more then a little relief to attend his still seeming hangover mother.

"My head still hurts, and the room keeps tilting when I get up! Can you bring some food and water?" She asked more quietly, probably hurt her head more when she yelled. Giving a side glance toward the auburn woman beside him, he notice her penetrating gaze still on him. Jumping back he holler at his mom. "I'll bring right up mom!"

Hearing the answering groan, he made a mental check to bring some aspiring too.

Making his mother a quick turkey sandwich with some fresh lettuce and tomatoes, plus some good cheese, no mayo. He got the water and a tray and was heading up stairs, when he was block. His eyes staid squarely forward, and he kept them dare;

1. Because he was too much of a coward to look up and...

2. There were a pair of very nice breast in front of him and he honestly couldn't help but stare.

Hands folded in front of her-and unconsciously making her breast stand out more to the young man's glee-Kairi glare at him, not letting him move away till he looked up at her. Difficult at it was, he did and wince, noticing the impatient frown on the red heads face. Bowing his head he finally cave, "I-I'll tell you everything you want to know...just let me take this to my mom and I'll explain later."

Feeling satisfied, she let him pass. Once Sora was upstairs, he open the door-while slightly joggling the tray in one hand-and came inside a very dimly lit room, he had to be careful not to hit something and drop the food. As a big dark lumpy something move one the bed-Sora figure it could only be his mom under there-he place the tray on the night stand and grabbing the glass of water and the aspiring, called as softly as he could to his mother,"Mom, I brought your food and some aspiring."

As Nora carefully peek out her head from under the covers, she wince at the new light coming from the door and close her eyes from it. Moaning she reach for the glass, but Sora didn't give it to her, instead, he pull his mother from under the covers and made her sit up slightly. She complained a little, but that was all she could do, too much in pain and weak to do anything else. Now that she was more straighter, Sora gave her the glass and pass her the pills, and made sure she drank them and did not spill her drink. Once done, he told her she could eat her food, so the pills wouldn't upset her stomach to much. Nora, nodded or something like that and then moan from the simple movement of her head. Finally, he close the door behind him and sighed heavily.

He heard the sound of pans and pots, already figuring Kairi was probably starting to cook dinner. Sora sighed again, this time sliding back against the wall and finally landing on his bottom on the floor. What was he suppose to do now?

~.~.~.~

Kairi was busy, mincing some vegies, when Sora finally decided to come down. She seemed busy, so he thought he leave her be, but before he hide tail and run up stairs again she stopped him.

"Sit."

Flinching, he slowly turn his head and looked back, but she still had her back facing him, so sighing for what he thought to be the hundred time today, he went and sat. Once she was done mincing, she turn to him and the thought that she was still holding the knife in her hand while she looked at him sharply made his mind imagine crazy things...like a dark aura surrounding her as she spoke, "Now, where were we..."

Sora sweat drop at that, and a little wide eye, shook his head to clear the crazy image. Placing the knife at the sink, Kairi pace closer to the young man and put on her best teacher demeanor. Hands on her hips, face sharp, she waited for the brunet to speak. Sora could now see this was serious, though he would have prefer she had taken off the apron that his mom bought that said, 'Kiss the cook'. It looked so cheesy before, but now he felt compelled to obey it, since the cook was so cute; even when she was scolding him.

Gulping back some courage, he began, "K-Kairi, I-I met Xion about...three years ago. We were friends back then..." Sora pace his words carefully not wanting to say anything that would alarm her or more accurately that would lead her to suspect about his misplace feelings back then. "I saw her again yesterday and we talk," Not entirely a lie...just edited. "And I notice she looked like you then, so I thought, maybe it had to do with the weird thing you were talking about before."

As she thought of it, Kairi suppose it made sense. After all, she knew her fathers mistress or now knew wife had move to Twilight Town a few years back, which made her uneasy when she found out Sora was going there, but that he had gone before and met one of her half sisters was inevitable. Twilight Town was a big city, but it seemed not big enough, still there was something off about Sora's reluctance to speak about it before that just didn't match the simple explanation he just gave her...

She then nodded as if agreeing making the brunet sigh with relief, when then, "Okay, so you and my sister met before, what else?"

Sora blink confuse, then nervously he asked back, "What else w-what?"

"What else happen between you and my sister that made you so nervous to speak before?"

Wow, bull's eye. She got him there, and now he was stuck between a rock and a hard place. Either tell her about it and have her probably upset with him for a while or not tell her and have her upset with him for maybe a longer while. Okay, it was decided, but its still won't be easy. He had to look away for this one, so when he finally said it he couldn't see her disappointment in him.

"I used to...I used to really like Xion back then." He knew he had to specified more then that, but it was hard for him to get the words out. "I wanted her to be my girlfriend and I even asked her to be, but she obviously turn me down, because she had a crush on Roxas. B-But I want you to know, I never really loved her or anything!" He pause then wanting to be very honest about his feelings to her. "I...I thought I did, but now that I saw her again, I understand. I used to like her because, unconsciously, she reminded me of...you."

The silence stretch then and Sora was begging to squirm on his chair. 'Do I dare look up?'

His eyes had been close, when he had started to confess, but now tipping his head up, he squinted one eyes open and saw a crying Kairi.

"Whaaa!?" Eyes wide, he was already on his feet, arms wild not knowing what he did or what to do. "Kairi w-what's wrong? D-Did I say the wrong thing? Maybe I shouldn't had said anything huh?"

He was still freaking out, when Kairi shook her head, as she wipe her eyes and smiled. "No, you said the perfect thing."

In a blink of an eye, he was being embrace by her. At first he didn't know how to react, and then slowly, he reach up his arms and embrace her back.

"Sora, I always knew that there was the possibility, that when we met again, you probably had a new love and I thought I'd be happy for you. I thought...if I just got to see you again, it be enough. But I was wrong."

"Huh?"

Pulling back slightly Kairi place her free hand on Sora's tan cheek and smiled. "When I saw you again, I had to admit, I couldn't help myself and then I thought that no matter if there was somebody else in your life, I make sure to steal you away from them and keep you all to my self."

With eyes gone wide with surprise, Sora blush deeply at hearing Kairi's possessive confession, while his heart hammer like crazy in his chest.

"When you said that the only reason you had feelings for Xion, was because she reminded you of me, it made me happy, because at least some part deep in your heart still remembered me and..." Lowering her head, Kairi place a soft kiss on the young boys lips and as she drew back again, lips curve and cheeks dusted pink she finish, "Its still belongs to me."

Sora, couldn't help it, he had to close his eyes, Kairi's beauty was simply blinding, then opening his mouth he stammered, "W-Would you believe me, if I told you, that it always belong to you?"

Kairi was surprise, but then smiled once again, more brightly then the last and with a fleeting giggle, she press her lips to her young lovers, seeming to block everything else but them.

~.~.~.~

"Nnn...ah...mn!"

Sora had began to lose track of how long they been at it, but at the moment he could careless. Playing with each others tongues, with their breathing hot and heavy between them, Kairi's body press tightly against his, they only briefly stop to get some air and then began again. He felt so hot, it was almost suffocating. Now he understood why people began taking their clothes off when making out, and the idea sounded very appealing to his now feverish mind, but before had time to enquire in that idea, with his partner the sound of boiling water resounded together with the accompany burn smell.

Suddenly breaking from the kiss and the amorous atmosphere they been in, Kairi squeal as she remember the curry she been boiling.

"Oh damn!" Lowering the stove, she started turning the contains hoping to save what was left.

On the other hand, Sora was feeling deflated. Did she really have to stop so suddenly for that?! 'She could have just turn off the stove and continue kissing me.' He was acting sulky, he knew, but its not like he could help it!

Taking back his sit, he sulk as he watch Kairi continue adding stuff and turning the curry. Grabbing a small plate, she pore some of it and tasted it. It seemed all right, then poring some more, she move toward the pouting boy.

"Here." Offering him the rest, made the brunet blink surprise.

"T-Thank you." Tan cheeks tinted he grab the small plate and sipped it. It was delicious!

Kairi was back turning the curry before he said anything though, and that only made him more fluster again. He was being stupid, of course Kairi would give the food priority, they were both hungry after all, but still he felt...ignored. After the moment they just had, he expected a more...romantic atmosphere between them, like before. His blush depend and he squirm more on his chair. Thinking he was acting kinda clingy, and wanting to stop, he almost miss as Kairi began to speak.

"You know, after dinner I wanted us to spend the rest of the afternoon together, just the two of us. Is, that okay?"

Sora was shock at first, he'd thought he was the only one wanting to be more together as a couple, but it seemed he'd been wrong. Finally showing his goofy smile, he nodded, when Kairi turn to him to know his answer.

"Yeah, that'll be great."

~.~.~.~

The rest of the afternoon, after they had dinner of course, they spend it watching movies on the tv and just being together cuddling on the couch. It was quiet between them, the only sound that was heard was from the television and some crickets outside, but they were content. As Sora lay stretch on the couch his head resting on Kairi's lap, as she unconsciously petted his hair, he began to feel sleepy and was already nodding off.

"Hey, Sora?"

Drowsily he answered, "Hmm?"

"Would you like, to go back to the island sometime? Just for fun?" Kairi's voice was soft and lulling, making him fall deeper into sleep. "Sora?"

"Mm...yeah, it be fun...zzz."

He was already half asleep, when she whispered in his ear, "The don't forget, its a date then."
