Hi sorry for the wait I have been busy with uni work. I hope you like it. I think I will end it here but if I think of any more to add then I will. Thank you for you support it means a lot as this was my first fanfic, I have some more ideas so I will be writing more Lily and James stuff. Please let me know what you think and I will hopefully be back soon with a new story :)

16th December

James was so excited. It was the end of the term and he was going home to see Lily. He had been up since 2 that morning. Sirius had threatened to kill him so many times now he had lost count. It was 6 now and breakfast wasn't for another hour, so he decided get dressed and go for a walk in the grounds.

James had always loved the grounds at Hogwarts, the sheer size of it; it seemed to go on forever. He sat on a rock by the side of the lake. He wished he could bring Lily here and show her his world. He had missed Lily a lot and although they had been writing it wasn't the same. He had a picture of them together by his bed, a muggle picture rather than a wizard one as he felt it was much nicer. He loved reading her letters which were filled with details of what she was doing at school, which was very different to his.

They didn't just talk about school though, he told her about the pranks that he and the marauders played on the Slytherin's. She always asked after Sirius and always sent a letter for him with James'. They had become quiet close after their talk in the summer; Sirius had asked if it was alright as he knew of James' tendency to jealousy, but James loved that they where close as Sirius was practically his brother.

He heard the clock strike 7 and realised how hungry he was. He got up off the rock and started to walk back to the castle.

Lily had had an equally sleepless night. She was so excited about seeing James again that she didn't know what to do with herself. She was sat in bed trying to read her favourite book but she couldn't concentrate on what was happening to the characters. James would be back by 1 and Lily was going to meet him to meet him off the train. She had been so happy when he had asked her if she would.

She loved getting the letters that James and Sirius sent her from school. They where always so fun and made her school sound really boring in comparison. Since their talk Sirius had become like a brother to her and her teased her about James constantly. They only hard thing was that she hated lying to her parents, well it wasn't technically lying because James did go to boarding school but she had fib about how she communicated with him and what he was doing at school. She could hardly tell her parents that he sent her letters by owl rather then through the post.

It was 8 when she decided to have some breakfast. She was alone in the house as her parents where at some friends and her sister was with Vernon. She stayed in her pyjamas and made herself some toast and a cup of tea. She sat down in the sitting room and put the tele on, there was nothing on as it was weekend tele. She flicked through a few channels before finally settling on one. She wasn't really watching it she was thinking about James and his smile.

The train ride back to London had never been so exciting for James. He had so much nervous energy and nothing to do about it.

"For Merlin's sake James will you sit still before I kill you" Sirius said in an exasperated tone. He had had this for the last two weeks of term and however much he Liked Lily he could quiet happily kill her fir doing this to his best friend. Peter was sat silent in the corner looking confused as to why James was acting this way and Remus had his nose in a book ignoring the rest of them.

"Sorry" James said looking guilty. He didn't mean to be like this but he had really missed Lily.

"Look here we are" said Remus looking up from his book for the first time in four hours.

When the train stopped James practically jumped out of his seat, grabbed his bag off the rack and went to get the rest of his things. Sirius, Remus and Peter just watched with a mixture of shock and amusement that someone could make their best friend act like this.

"Wait for us why don't you" said Sirius with a smile. James was one of the first though the wall stopped and looked around for Lily. It didn't take long for him to find her. All he could think about when he saw her and as she walked toward him was how beautiful she looked. She was wearing skinny jeans, a green jumper, black boots and a black coat, her hair was half up and half down. Lily was so happy when she saw James, she decided it was the best feeling in the world but was also sad that the holiday was only a short one.

He walked to meet her half way.

"Hello" James said as a grin spread across his face

"Hello" Lily blushed, smiling back at him. "How was the journey?" she asked.

"Good, very long though" They both smiled. James leaned over the handle bar of the trolley and kissed Lily softly. He had missed this, the feeling of coming home. Just then the other came up behind them.

"Lilykins" Sirius shouted. He had decided she needed a nickname and that the first one he had come up with. He came and gave her a hug.

"Hello Sirius" Lilly said affectionately. "Hello Remus. Hello Peter had a good trip?"

"Yes thank you" squeaked Peter

"Yes thank you Lily. Shall we be off then we are blocking the platform." Remus suggested, they all nodded their assent and started to walk towards the exit. Lily and James walked side by side both thinking that this was going to be the best Christmas and New Year they had ever had.
