Ch. 10-Spy-Games
Hey guys! Guess what, Chapter 10! Thank you again for all the views, favorites, and reviews, it really helps.
As you know, I don't own Sonic, Fire Emblem, or Super Smash Bros. All content and plots are written by me. Enjoy.
Time passed at the Smash Mansion. Each fighter getting ready for the League, in their own way. Of course, our group got set in their own ways as well.
Sonic and Lucina had sparred with each other every day. They each got stronger, learned from each other, and became better friends from it all. They didn't know what do with themselves most of the time when they weren't training except sit somewhere and talk. They got to know each other really well.
Little Mac kept up his training schedule everyday. He never got tired or quit. He just kept his focus of being a champion at the front of his mind. He never stopped looking away from his goal: to become the Smash Champion.
Zelda really got a handle down on her magic skills. She learned the move that she was perfecting and was now really coming to her goal of being the strongest girl out there. She never lost sight of how she was needed as much as everybody was.
These four became better friends. Mostly, because they were all roommates. There were also some interesting connections as well. We already know well about Lucina and Sonic, but Zelda and Mac were forming a bond, too. Mac would always share things that Sonic would be doing with Lucina. This wasn't out of spite, but it was for those two to help Lucina and Sonic become better friends. Strangely enough, Mac had grown fond of Zelda, but she didn't really take a notice to the boxers charm because she didn't recognize it. Mac wasn't hurt, but he kept trying hard to earn the princess' attention. He hoped she would notice him soon.
While these four were getting closer, the Koopalings were getting all the news they needed to let their dad know. They would always report in at the end of the day to share any vital info on the four. Bowser knew they were a growing concern, but he never could convince his leader to think so. Bowser wanted to find some way to convince them.
Ganondorf kept to himself, spending more time sitting on his throne brooding. He had an evil plan, but he wasn't going to share with his cohorts until it was the right time. Even then, he didn't know if they would live up to the strength they projected.
So that's where everybody is. Three days have flown by, and it's the day before the competition. Every one of the fighters are at breakfast chomping away. They all knew that they had just a few more hours to prepare, and then it would be time to fight. Suddenly, Master Hand appeared from nowhere.
"Good Morning, fighters, what a time it has been these past six days. Tomorrow will start the Smash League. You must make your final preparations today for tomorrow you will enter the arena and due battle. This is your last chance to put in valuable time. On that note, tonight we will host party in the main hall of the mansion to celebrate the start of a new year. Everyone is invited. There will music, games, and a special appearance by last year's champion, Ganondorf. Please come and enjoy your last night as friends. See you then," and, as quickly as he came, Master Hand disappeared in a puff of smoke.
After breakfast, everyone went out to train one last time. Little did everyone know, Lucina and Sonic were already training since breakfast. They hadn't heard about the party, but they were focused on spending their last day training. They decided to take a break, so they sat down in the clearing to catch their breaths.
"You're getting slower. I almost got you last time with that Dolphin Slash," Lucina pointed out. Sonic shook his head in disagreement, "Nope, you're dreaming. I was ready for you the whole time. I was doing it just make you feel better."
Lucina could only just chuckle, "I don't think so, I seemingly remember someone almost falling down when I came an inch close to their nose," she remarked. Sonic just rolled his eyes. The two friends just laughed at the whole conversation.
"Seriously, Lucina, you have become quite better. I'm amazed at your progress. You may not be as good as me, but you're getting there," He complimented. Lucina couldn't help but blush at his feedback, "Thank you, Sonic. I had a really good teacher. Given he's a hedgehog and all, but he has taught me so much, and I would've never been this way if not for him." Sonic just smiled and said, "Yep, that's me. The one and only. You'll never find another one like me." They both laughed again.
Over in a corner bush, sitting and watching the whole exchange were the koopalings: Bowser Jr., Morton, Wendy, and Iggy. All were watching their movements closely, but they were all starting to get a little bored. "When's lunch," asked Morton.
"When the sun is in the middle of the sky, knuckle head," said Iggy, "Now shut up, I need to focus on these guys out there."
"Whatever, you have your fun boys. I'll just sit here in the shade," Wendy commented.
"Will you all be quiet. Dad needs to know what they've been doing, and all you're doing is worrying about the heat and lunch. If we don't focus now, then we're going to end up in the hot seat, and I don't mean in trouble, but literally," an annoyed Bowser Jr. said.
Wendy just shrugged and hung out in the shade, "Whatever, but I don't need these rays to tan my girlish figure," Wendy said, turning to try and rest.
"Yeah, whatever figure that is. She couldn't hold a candle to that girl," Iggy said pointing to Lucina. Wendy jumped up furiously at that comment, "WHAT DID YOU SAY? I am beautiful, at least ten times more beautiful than that girl over there," Wendy argued.
Morton just snorted, still hungry, and said, "Yeah right, I know fire trucks that have a better than you."
Wendy had enough, "THAT'S IT!" She lunged at her brothers. They all started to brawl right there on the spot. "Keep it down, they're going to find out about us," said Bowser Jr. to his siblings, but they weren't listening, "WOULD YOU SHUT UP," yelled Bowser Jr.
Sonic and Lucina heard the yell and jumped up at once. "Who's there? Show yourself. We heard you yelling and there's nowhere to run. Come out now," Sonic yelled to the direction of the Koopalings. All of them had shut up, but it was no use now. Their cover had been blown.
Sonic had an idea. He looked over at Lucina and winked. She saw the wink, and then caught on to the idea.
The Koopalings, still hidden, but not able to see behind them, decided to look out and see if they were coming toward them. Bowser Jr. took a look and saw that they were gone. They all sighed, thinking they were all in the clear. They didn't notice that there was a figure of a blue hedgehog right BEHIND THEM!
"So, look what we have hear," Sonic said. At that, the Koopalings jumped out in shock. Sonic then jumped out too, along with Lucina jumping out from behind a tree she had hid behind. "If it isn't the Koopalings. I thought you guys were at home keeping your dad's throne warm."
Lucina was confused at who these spies were. "Who are they, Sonic," She asked.
"They are the Koopalings, they are Bowser's kids. They like to wreak havoc alongside their dad. You can ask Mario about them. And it looks like they've been spying on us. So, how long have you all been there," Sonic interrogated.
"We ain't telling you anything we found out all week," Morton yelled. The rest facepalmed themselves.
"Thanks a lot Genius. You just let them know that we've been spying on them all week. Next, you'll them who sent us," Bowser Jr. yelled at Morton.
"Oh yeah, that was dad," Morton said loudly. They facepalmed again. "STUPID, JUST SHUT UP," They all yelled in unison at Morton.
Sonic just smiled, "Thanks for the info, and now time for your reward. Lucina, let's show our friends what prize they get for spying on us."
They started trembling in fear. Lucina and Sonic came at them full force, and knocked them out quickly. They all fell to the ground, hurt in body and spirit. "That'll teach you all that little kids shouldn't spy on the adults. Now tell your dad this. Sonic is looking forward to seeing him. And make sure to tell Sonic sent you," Sonic joked.
They all got up and ran for their lives. "We'll get you one day. Just you wait," they yelled in unison as they ran away.
"Well, that was most awkward. Why would they be spying on us," Lucina asked.
"I don't know, but I don't think that's good news for us. Plus there was only four of them, with Bowser Jr. added. There is usually eight of them. Which means the other four are spying someplace else," Sonic concluded.
Lucina looked shocked. Where are the other four hiding? "I think I know where the other four are. Find Zelda, I'll go find Mac," Sonic ordered, "We'll meet back in the mansion. Now go," at that, they both ran to find them.
Little Mac had just finished up his training in the gym for the afternoon when he heard running. "What's going on," He said as he turned to hear the running getting closer.
Over in a closet sat Roy and Ludwig, watching and feeling cramped, "Something's going on? Mac is looking somewhere," Ludwig said.
"What is it, let me see," Roy said anxiously.
"No, you'll just squash me. Stop it," Ludwig said.
"If you don't move, I'll squash you. This cramped space makes me want to beat something up," Roy said.
"You always want to beat something up," Ludwig remarked.
"Shut up and let me SEE," Roy exclaimed.
Mac didn't notice the argument in the closet, but he saw his roommate enter. "Hey Sonic, what's up. You look tired, need something to drink," He asked as he offered a water bottle. Sonic turned down the offer, "No thanks, but I need to let you in on something. It appears that we're being spied on." Mac raised an eyebrow, "Spied on, how and who," he asked. "By Bowser's kids, it's a long story, one I can't tell right now, but you have kids spying on you somewhere in here. We need to find them," Sonic declared.
"Okay, let's start looking," Mac said.
Roy and Ludwig, surprised that they have probabe will be discovered in the future, now were fidgeting to not make any noise. Little did they know, Mac happened to notice the commotion coming from the closet. Mac ran over to it, opened it up, and out fell the two Koopalings. "Are these who we're looking for, Sonic," Mac asked.
"Yep, you won the two dollar grand prize. Now these two don't know manners, Mac, but I think you can show them some, right," Sonic asked Mac.
Mac stepped forward, prepping his fists, "It would be a pleasure," He charged at them and unleashed a punishment on the two. They were knocked so hard they flew through the wall of the gym landing in the hallway. "Well, that's that," Mac said wiping his hands of the dirt of the Koopalings. Roy and Ludwig jumped up and ran away, "We'll get you for this," they screamed as they hurried away.
"What was that for," Mac asked Sonic.
"It's a long story, but it involves Ganondorf, in a way, but we need to find the girls, Zelda could be trouble," Sonic explained.
Mac, at hearing that girl's name, jumped into action, "Zelda, in trouble, let's go." At once, they left to find the girls.
Zelda had finished her magic training outside when she noticed that Lucina showed up.
"Uh oh, trouble," whispered Lemmy to Larry.
They both looked at each other with concern.
Lucina stopped next to Zelda, "Hey, are you ok," Lucina asked reassuringly.
"Yes, I am fine. What is the matter," Zelda asked back.
"It's a long story, but you're being spied by Ganondorf's forces," said Lucina.
Lemmy and Larry jumped in distress. They knew they were going to be found out.
Zelda, who looked furious after she heard what Lucina said, used her magic to detect for any life forms around that wasn't them two there. She quickly found out where the two Koopalings were and teleported right next to them.
"So, two little kids sitting here spying. My, MY…you're in big trouble. You need a whoopin," Zelda said playfully. She grabbed the two boys and threw them at a nearby tree. The boys slunk down in pain.
"that's not all you boys get for spying on a woman," she said in a mentor role. She cast a Din's fire that landed on the boy's behinds. They both ran away in a hurry.
"And don't come back, ever," She yelled as they ran with their head between their tails. The two girls couldn't help but laugh.
"Lucina, Zelda, where are you? It's Sonic and Mac. We need to know where you are," Sonic yelled to get their attention.
The two girls nodded and walked out from the area to see the two boys running towards them. They all waved and met each other in the middle.
"What's going on, you two? I was just attacked…" Zelda started, but was quickly interrupted by Sonic, "We were all attacked Zelda, by the Koopalings, and from the looks of it, we all made it in one piece. Something tells me Ganondorf doesn't like what we're doing. We have to be ready for him. So, let's stay together until things die down," Sonic informed. The whole group nodded in unison.
"Alright then, let's go," Sonic said.
"Oh wait, are you guys going to the party tonight at the mansion," Zelda asked, hoping for an answer. "What party, I didn't know there was one," said Sonic confused.
"There's one at the mansion tonight for all the fighters. We're all invited. We should all go," Mac said in a suggestive way.
"No way, I'm no life of the party, besides I have better things to do," he said.
"Sonic, Ganondorf is going to be there It would be best if we were there to look out and see if he does anything fishy," Mac said in a serious tone. Sonic stopped, "So, he is. Okay then, well, I better make an appearance myself," Sonic exclaimed. Everyone smiled, knowing that they were ready to stop Ganondorf.
And that's the end of the chapter. Please favorite and review. Thank you all again.
