Once again this is for the birthday girl. Trying to see how many chapters I can get done before the 26th.

Olivia stood in the bathroom fixing her hair and make-up while Alex was behind her in their room getting dressed. Nerves were coursing through her body as she thought of the big secret she was finally going to tell Alex tonight. It may not be the best time since it was Alex, Abbie and Serena's celebration for passing the bar but Liv couldn't keep the secret anymore.

"Hey baby, can you help me with this zipper please? I think I got it caught." Alex asked giving Liv her best puppy dog face as she presented her back and looked over her shoulder.

Smiling Liv walked up behind her and placed a kiss on her shoulder as she pulled the zipper up on the red dress that fit Alex like a second skin. "You look beautiful baby. I'm going to be the luckiest woman on the dance floor tonight."

Turning in her lovers arms she looped her arms around her neck and leaned in for a kiss. "I don't know about that love. I've seen the suit you have laid out. I'm going to be beating women and men off of you with a stick all night long."

"Sorry Counselor, but if you hit someone with a stick I will have to arrest you and frisk you to make sure you don't have any other weapons on your person." Liv teased as she nibbled at Alex's lips.

Alex melted into the kisses and lost track of time till there was a knock at their door. "Stop playing around and let us in." Abbie's voice came through the door.

Alex huffed as Liv broke their kiss to go let their two best friends in the door. "How is it you two finished before we did?"

The girls came in and sat on the sofa and Serena spoke up. "I've been ready for almost an hour, I'm just too excited. I can't believe our parents planned this big party for us and got us these amazing rooms for the weekend."

Abbie pulled at her dress as it slide up her leg as she moved. "Serena picked my clothes out for me so I only had to worry about hair and makeup."

"Well you girls can hang here while we finish. We should be pretty quick." Liv said walking over to the closet where her suit was hanging. "Just remember I accept tips"

Abbie whistled as Liv dropped her robe and stepped into her pants. "You're awful brave wearing an all white suit Liv."

"It's not all white." Serena chimed in. "The trim is black silk and it looks amazing on her."

"Well thank you Rena." Liv said as she buttoned up her shirt and tucked the tail into her pants before turning back to her friend. "How do you know I look amazing in it? I haven't even got the whole thing on yet."

"Lexi sent me pictures when you guys got it. Don't worry, she only sent the before pictures." Rena winked and watched Liv start to blush.

At that moment Alex came out of the bathroom after finishing her hair and make-up. Turning to Liv she became concerned. "Baby, are you ok? You look a little flushed."

Abbie laughed and pointed at Serena. "Livy is fine. Rena is just teasing her about when you guys went shopping for her suit."

Alex's fair skin showed that she remembered that day very well. "And on that note I think it's time to head down to the party don't you?"

After a few finishing touches all four girls left the room laughing and headed for the elevator.

When the girls arrived in the ballroom the party was in full swing but when the DJ spotted the four women the music stopped and a loud "Dun Dun" filled the room and everyone cheered. "Watch out New York, the DA's office just got a little tougher. Congratulations Alexandra, Abigail and Serena." With that the music picked back up and the room was filled with the sound of the Clash's "I Fought the Law".

The girls greeted family and friends till they reached their parents who they hugged and kissed, thanking them once again for the amazing party.

After hugging all the girls Xander Cabot pointed towards the corner of the room. "Before you girls start dancing I'd like to have a few pictures taken."

Alex looked over and saw a professional set up in the corner. "You went all out Daddy, thank you."

"You're welcome pumpkin. I want you girls to be able to remember this night forever." Xander told her as he hugged his wife.

Liv looked around. "Mom, any idea where Mom is? I haven't seen her since we came down."

Caroline looked around the room and pointed to the buffet. "There she is dear, she's holding Maureen for Cathy. Such a sweet baby."

"Let's go get our pictures taken so we can get El and Cathy to come over and take some with us too." Liv said pulling Alex towards the photographer.

Almost an hour had gone by when the girls were finally done taking pictures with all their family and friends. There were even a few of Alex and Olivia holding Maureen which caused their parents to ask when they would be giving them grandchildren.

"Not anytime soon." Liv said pulling Alex away from their parents. "We're going to go eat now."

Caroline, Serena and Xander watched the girls cross the room and smiled. "Talk about running scared." They all laughed.

All four girls sat at a table with Elliot and Cathy eating dinner and catching up. Serena was taking her turn feeding the baby while Alex talked to Cathy and Abbie, Liv and El sat talking sports.

Once everyone was full Liv turned to Alex and took her hand. "Hey babe, lets go for a walk. I want to talk to you."

As they left the table everyone watched them go and then looked at each other.

Olivia held Alex's hand as they walked towards the elevator. Alex could tell that Olivia was stiff but wasn't sure why.

"Babe is everything ok? You feel really stressed." Alex said rubbing Liv's arm to try and loosen her up.

Olivia looked into Alex's eyes and smiled. "Of course everything is alright. Just jittery from the buzz in the air."

Alex looked her up and down and saw no reason not to believe her so she smiled and leaned in closer. "Good. So where are we going?"

Once on the elevator Liv pushed the button for the top floor. "They have a pool deck up on the roof that has a beautiful view of the ocean. I just thought it would be nice to go up and talk."

"Sounds pretty nice to me." Alex smiled leaning in for a kiss which was returned and only broken when the door chimed.

The girls walked out into the cool night air and looked up at the clear sky. Stars dotting the sky and a full moon hanging over the ocean.

"This is beautiful Liv." Alex said in awe as she looked around and lightly shivered.

Liv quickly removed her suit jacket and held it up for Alex. "Here love, put this on."

Alex let Liv help her into the jacket before leaning back against her and stealing a kiss. "Thank you love, it is a little chilly up here."

" I know but it's private and beautiful." Liv said as she walked over to the rail with Alex and stopped when she was standing behind her with her arms wrapped around her. "There's something I've been wanting to tell you. It's been eating at me keeping this secret from you."

Alex grew stiff in Liv's arms and started to turn but Liv held her still. "You know I love you but lately it hasn't been enough."

Alex stared at the stars dreading what Liv's next words were going to be. "What are you trying to say Liv?"

"Hey what's that down there?" Liv asked as she pointed down to the beach.

Alex looked down at the beach and all at once flickering lights filled the sand. Below her in the sand spelled out in candles were the words "Will you marry me?" Tears filled her eyes as she turned to see Olivia down on one knee in front of her with a diamond ring in her hand. The ring box held by a small white teddy bear in a suit.

"Alexandra Caroline Cabot, I love you with all my heart. I can't imagine spending the rest of my life with anyone but you." Liv said as tears started to fill her own eyes. "Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?"

Alex all but threw herself at her girlfriend crying yes as she covered her face in kisses. Finally standing back up Liv returned her kisses before taking Alex's hand and sliding the ring onto her finger.

Alex held her tight before slightly pulling back and looking Liv in the eyes. "Olivia Serena Benson, you ever scare me like that again I'm going to kick your ass."

"What?" Olivia looked confused until she played back what she had said. "Oh baby no, I'm so sorry. I was just so nervous. The day you went to take your bar exam your father came over and we went to lunch. I officially asked for your hand. So I've been carrying this secret with me ever since. I didn't mean to scare you."

Alex placed her finger over Liv's lips. "I know you didn't baby. I love you so much. That is the sweetest thing anyone has ever done."

The two continued to hug and kiss when suddenly Abbie's voice could be heard yelling "Well?"

Liv grinned and broke the kiss, leaning over the rail she yelled back "She said yes!"

Shouts of joy filled the air at the same time fireworks started bursting in the sky.

Looking down on their friends and back at the sky the girls smiled and returned to kissing. Neither noticing the two photographers filming them and taking pictures. Liv and Xander's plan had gone off without a hitch. This was definitely a night to remember.
