YOU AND I are the same.

I'd never admit it aloud, but it was the truth. When we first met, I told myself that I would never make the same mistakes as you. I thought that because I knew the consequences—because of your sins—I'd be better.

I would stand above them all. I would conquer the darkness. I would be your light.

I learned to never make myself promises after you. After you left. Because now I'm a hypocrite. And I never would believe that I'd be the culpable one.
