I do not own FT and sadly, I never will :(

Enjoy~

Lucy's apartment: Morning.

Doe eyes fluttered open as the sun rose from it's mountain depths. She let out a small yawn, stretching. Well, she tried to. Something warm, hard and oh-so comfortable was stopping her from moving.

Memories from the night before flooded back, her eyes widening.

'No...no...no...nononononono! I-it c-can't be! It's-it's-'

"NATSU!"

"Luchy~ don't throw the covers back~."

"KYAAAAAAAA! WHERE'S YOUR SHIRT!?"

"...I have no idea. You probably did something with it!" Natsu retorted, wiping the sleep from his eyes.

"Why would I take your shirt?!"

"Because you're a weirdo~" He sang, jumping out of the bed flexing his muscles. Lucy bit her lip, trying to pry her eyes away from his flexing muscles. "Lucy's a pervert!" Lucy jumped as Happy laughed at her.

"SHUT UP YOU STUPID CAT!"

"Naaaatsssuuuu~! Luchy's being mwean!" Happy cried to his foster father. Natsu gave her a weird look then transferred it to Happy.

"Then maybe you shouldn't make snide comments about her. Apologize, Happy."

The cat and the girl gaped like fish at Natsu. Did...did he just..?

"Did you just tell off Happy...?" Lucy asked.

"NATSU'S GONE CRAZY! HE'S BEING MEAN TO ME!" Happy wailed. He flew over to the girl, hugging her bosom. As she pet the exceed, they seemed to miss the death glare that was sent to him.

Natsu was acting strange and Lucy wanted to find out why. She was just about to ask when her door was kicked down.

"Hurry up, you three! We have a quest to complete!" Erza hollered. Her usual armor gleaming in the morning light.

"Aren't we mean to be training so we're ready when Zeref attacks?"

"Yeah! Why do we have to go on quests!" Natsu yelled, quieting down when Erza gave him the death glare.

"Master said that we should continue on with our lives and report sightings of Zeref along the way. NOW GET UP! GET DRESSED! AND MOVE! MOVE! MOVE!"

"Y-yes m-m-ma'am!"

Hours later on a train...

Lucy sat near the window, watching as the hills rolled by. Gray was sleeping half naked on the opposite seat with Erza who was enjoying a strawberry cake. Next to Lucy was a semi-dying Natsu and a teasing Happy.

"Haha! Natsu, you look like a reverse strawberry!"

"How does he look like a reverse strawberry?" Lucy asked. "Because his face is green and his hair is pink!"

"Uh huh..."

"Reverse strawberry! Reverse strawberry!" Happy chanted.

Eventually, Lucy made him stop and put him to sleep in her lap. Her coffee eyes traveled to her team mates. Erza had fallen asleep with some strawberry cake icing on her upper lip, creating an icing mustache. Gray somehow shimmied out of his boxers during his sleep and was now completely naked and Natsu was...looking at her?

"Hey, Natsu...watcha up to?" Lucy asked warily. Although he looked sick, he sat up and shuffled towards her, a look of questioning on his features.

"N-natsu-"

"Move." He shoved her head back, climbing to the window searching the forests that were rolling by.

Lucy, on the other hand, opened her mouth-not to yell- but to chomp down on the dragon slayers hand. "Ow! What the hell?!"

Lucy said nothing but took her left high heel off and raised it, Natsu knowing full well what was coming next. "Lucy, wait! I smelt Zeref! PLEASE DON'T HIT ME!"

"You smelt Zeref?" Lucy asked, along with the now awake Erza and Gray. Natsu, now on the floor gagging, nodded. He was still on the train, after all.

Erza stood from her seat, swiftly leaving the cabin. "Where is she-" Happy was cut off when he was lurched forward, along with Lucy. The train suddenly stopped and Erza appeared outside motioning for her team mates to go outside. The others got up, heading outside and hurrying to catch up with the Titania.

"Natsu! Sniff out Zeref. Happy, go back to the guild and tell everyone that Zeref has been spotted on the outskirts of Song City. Lucy, Gray, get ready to fight." Erza ordered.

"Yes, Ma'am!" Everybody did what there were told, preparing for a long battle.

Natsu jumped to the front of the group, growling with anger. Thanks to Zeref, he can't spend quality time with Lucy or enjoy a mission without knowing Zeref is out there.

'Zeref...when I get my hands on you...' Natsu's pace quickened, his eyes narrowing. He ignored Titania's calls to slow down along with Gray's insults.

"Goddammit, Candlestick! Don't lose your head now." Gray continued to throw half-hearted insults at the dragon slayer as Lucy bit her lip. All of this- everything that's happened, has made life stressful and difficult.

Lucy didn't blame Natsu for feeling this way. She doesn't blame anybody that feels this way! She just hoped that nobody would get seriously hurt or killed-Lucy stopped.

The images of Natsu's limp body raced through her mind, her author imagination making things gory. What would she do if Natsu died? Natsu was her best friend! She couldn't imagine her life in Fairy Tail without her first friend and teammate!

She couldn't imagine her life without her first love.

"Natsu, stop!" Lucy called, her distressed tone getting to him. He turned around, light scale markings littering his skin. "You need to keep a clear head with what's about to happen. Please," she pushed past Gray. "We can't lose you just because you're blinded by anger."

Natsu's shoulders relaxed, he turned around with a large, goofy, smile on his face. "Thanks, Luce!" She smiled back and the four continued on their journey.

It only took half an hour for the rest of Fairy Tail to arrive at the decided meeting point. As per usual most of the guild members were pumped and ready for a little bloodshed (Gajeel, Laxus, Bixlow and Natsu and Gray who were already there).

Master and Mavis had already sent the guild members off in their direction with orders for the battle to come.

"I want all Dragon slayers on the front line!" Mavis shouted. She passed an assuring smile to Wendy while grinning at the other dragon slayers who were smirking.

"This a battle I will also be fighting," Fairy Tail cheered at Mavis' words. "But I will only join if thing get too out of hand-"

"Wouldn't you have just done that anyway?" Someone interrupted. A glare was shot their way before she continued.

"As I was saying, before I was so RUDELY interrupted-!"

"Sorry...!"

"I want everybody to come out alive in this! If things get too out of hand I want you all to retreat while I take Zeref on myself!" Mavis ordered, gaining surprised faces from guild members.

"But that won't happen!" Someone- *cough*Natsu*cough*- jumped out above the crowd. "WE ARE FAIRY TAIL! We don't back down from fights! We fought back against Phantom Lord!"

Lucy's eyes saddened at the though of what happened to the guild, while Gajeel was getting a dirty glare from a certain blue-haired midget.

Still...Natsu continued.

"We wouldn't let Aknowlgia take away our old man or end our guild!"

Master Makarov's eyes shadowed over, the stronger guild members nodding and holding their head up high.

"Even in the Grand Magic Tournament, did we give up?!"

"NO!" The guild members cheered.

"DO WE EVER GIVE UP?!"

"NO!"

"BECAUSE...!"

"BECAUSE WE'RE FAIRY TAIL!" Everyone cheered, roars of strength bellowed throughout the clearing. As the cheers went on, Mavis watched on with teary eyes.

This is what Fairy Tail is-and always will be-about. The strength and unity of others to protect what and who they love.

Everything was, well, better...till a certain raven-haired mage stalked to the clearings edge.

"So this is what Fairy Tail looks like...interesting."

All cheers ceased, battle ready looks appearing on many faces. Natsu spun around and growled, flecks of flames igniting on his skin.

There was Zeref, just, standing there. A dull look in his eyes as he scanned the mage's before him, growling at Mavis.

Erza, Natsu, Gajeel, Laxus and Mira were the first to stand before the dark mage, deep scowls on their faces.

"Such anger..." Zeref mumbled, a sad look in his eyes, still locked onto Mavis.

"I don't wish to fight you...I wish to speak with Mavis if I may..."

"You won't be allowed anywhere near her." Makarov stated simply, "I hope you understand the reasons why."

The dark mage closed his coal eyes. "...I see." He re-opened his eyes, revealing red orbs of anger. Some Fairy Tail members gasped the others readied themselves for battle.

"This shall be a one-sided annihilation." The atmosphere became heavy when Zeref raised his hands to ready his magic. "Death wave." A black sphere of death swirled around him, destroying everything in it's path as is moved.

"EVERYBODY RUN!" Mavis screeched, knowing the affects of the magic. They followed the order and ran, spreading out through the forest as the black wave kept killing any life it could.

Wendy was the first to react, using her magic to break the wave. People stared in awe for a second before getting back into the battle.

It turns out, the larger the wave gets, the weaker it becomes to counter-attacks. Especially that of a Dragon slayers!

Zeref didn't like this one bit, launching into another attack as equally deadly. "Death pillar!" The attack was heading straight towards Wendy, faster than any human could see. That didn't stop an iron dragon slayer from knocking the girl out of attacks way.

"Thank you, Gajeel-san!" She got a grunt in reply before turning back to the battle.

The struggle to defeat Zeref went on, many guild members were knocked out or too injured to move. The remaining Fairy Tail mages were badly injured and barely had energy to stand while Zeref only looked out of breath.

"You fools, all I want is to speak with Mavis. Now look at you, you're dropping like flies." The black mage launched another attack, Natsu growled, taking it head on.

"Natsu! No!" Lucy screamed, protecting Wendy from any more attacks. 'Do you have to be stupid now!?'

"I'LL NEVER LET YOU NEAR THE FIRST!" Flame engulfed the slayers body, the aura of the very dragon he trained under emitting from his anger.

Zeref dodged all of the flamed attacks, a bored expression planted in his features.

"GAH! Stop moving and let me hit you!"

"It doesn't work like that, Natsu!" Master called over the ruckus of war.

"Once an idiot, always an idiot." Gray scoffed, placing an unconscious Juvia out of harms way.

"Wanna go, Ice-pop?" Natsu hollered back.

"Focus on the goddamn dark mage behind you, idiot!" Lucy screeched, wanting to smack that boy so hard...

Zeref watched on, an eyebrow raised. These mages were...weird.

"Salamander, so help me God, I will bury you if we lose this fight because you want to fight the ice princess!" Gajeel growled.

"...Da fuck you say?" Gray yelled. At this point, Zeref seated himself on a fallen tree, watching them bicker. Master Makarov's jaw had hit the ground, shock crossed his wrinkled face. 'Now? They were doing this NOW?'

"...Do you want to re-schedule the fight or..." Zeref offered, oh so tempted to just death wave the hell out of them. Mavis appeared out of nowhere beside him, watching on.

"You said you wanted to talk to me?" She asked cutely, like that the most dangerous man to ever exist is sitting right next to her.

"I wanted this to be a battle between us, Mavis." He stated simply. "I wanted the light to verse the dark, the shadow vs the sun. To see if this world would be engulfed with light or taken by darkness. But these runts had to get in the way."

"You and I both know that in order for light to exist there must be darkness for it to shine through. Neither sides has a purpose that could be fulfilled without the other, I wish to come to an agreement." The tiny spirit explained. Zeref gave her a questioning look before she began talking again.

"I want to live in harmony with you. I want to share this worlds happiness and sorrow with you. Just because we have different morals doesn't mean we can't come to an agreement. Are you with me?" Her green eyes pleaded for him to understand. All she got was an angered snarl and a hard, dark fisted punch across the battle field.

"Mavis-sama!"

"MAVIS!"

"WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER?!"

Zeref ignored their cries, glaring at the tiny mage. "You ignorant, pathetic fool! The world that you want is un-realistic and will only harm others. You speak of a Utopia that will never come to be! Is this the shit you spit out to your guild? You offer others false hope and that I can't forgive. It's people like you who make me-!"

In a second flat a large ball of light knocked the dark mage into a boulder. "DON'T YOU EVER- AND I MEAN EVER, SPEAK TO HER THAT WAY!" The Heartfilia heiress ordered, the attack obviously been that of the king of stellar spirits-Loke.

Once some guild members got over the initial shock of what the girl just did, they swooped in on the dark mage. He only dodged and quickly vanished to the other side of the field.

"You aren't worth fighting anymore! I'm done with your pathetic ideals and aspirations!" In a blink of an eye he was gone, leaving everybody in a daze.

"Well...that was stupid." Gray groaned.

"It wasn't really much of a fight..." Erza commented. A large roar behind them put them out of their musings.

"WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED! ZEREF! GET BACK OUT HERE AND FIGHT ME!"

"Natsu! Calm down, we should be thankful that he's gone. Now we have time to train before he returns again." Master called to his idiot flame slayer.

Natsu hmph-ed and looked around for his Heartfilia princess...only to get more pissed.

There was Loke, arms tight around Lucy in a suffocating hug, obviously trying to 'woo' her. Poor Lucy was torn between beating the living light out the spirit or crying out of annoyance.

As everyone started walking off to get medical attention, Natsu stomped over to Loke, ripping him away from the girl. Before the spirit could get a word in, Natsu was practically dragging Lucy behind him, away from the confused Leo zodiac.

"What was that all about?"

Lucy's Apartment

"Lemme go!"

"No. Dun wanna!"

"Goddammit, Natsu!" Lucy huffed. He just dragged her for God knows how long-without an explanation! She knew Natsu was weird but seriously?!

She was flung onto her bed un-gracefully, the pinkette joining her in mere seconds. Thank god Happy went to play with Charla because right now, she and Natsu were in a very suggesting position, that Happy would've teased her about for years to come! There was Natsu, straddling Lucy on her bed, arms crossed over his chest.

Looking up at the dragon slayer, she almost melted at his pouty face-but no! She had to stay angry.

"Natsu, you better tell me what you problem is or-"

"My problem, Lucy, is that you let that perverted lion touch you like he owns you when you know you belong to someone else!" He spat, letting his dragon rage take over. Lucy, on the other hand, had fire so bright in her eyes that she could beat Natsu's flames any day.

'How dare he assume that I let Loke touch me as he pleases?'

"Where the hell do you get off; thinking that I'm something that can be owned!? I'm my own person and no one owns me!" Lucy went to shove the boy off her, only causing her hands to be held captive by one of his and placed above her head.

"I own you." He growled back. The tension in the room was heavy, silence weighing it down more.

"What?" She asked quietly. "What did you just say?"

"I said: I own you. You are mine, I won't ever let you stray from me. This can't be a shock to you because you knew this was bound to happen. Yes, I may be a dense, flaming idiot most of the time but that doesn't mean I can't fall in love-" He snapped out of his angry stupor, slapping his hands over his mouth.

'Shit! I didn't mean to say that!'

An awkward silence filled the room. Natsu was twitching nervously while Lucy was...well...

'AHHHHHHHHHH!'

Internally screaming.

'OUT OF ALL THE MOMENTS IN THE WORLD; WHY DID HE CHOOSE TO CONFESS NOW? I'M SO FREAKING ANGRY AT HIM RIGHT NOW THAT I CAN'T EVEN-GAAAH!'

"You know what..." Natsu began. "I think I just might leave for a while..." He slid off the bed, slinking his way over to the door.

"Natsu..wait." Lucy said quietly; standing up. When Natsu turned around she opened her arms and gave him a smile he loved so much "Come here."

Cautiously, he made his way into the hug, slowly wrapping his arms around her trim waist. They stood there for a while, just holding each other, without uttering a word.

Natsu slowly turned into his normal self, picking the girl up and swinging her around. Expectedly, she screamed at him.

"Put me down! Put me down! Put me down!"

"No, there's too much dramatic energy in the room!" He laughed, spinning her around faster. "Weeee~"

"Please, Natsu, I'm getting dizzy~!" He finally stopped, placing her back down on her wobbly feet.

"Thank you.." She muttered, looking up at his grinning face. She couldn't help but grin along with him.

Lucy then decided it was time to tell Natsu everything she felt.

"Hey, Natsu?"

"Yeah?"

"I just wanted you to know that meeting you was fate, becoming your best friend a choice and..." She sucked in a deep breath, a bright blush lighting her cheeks like a beacon.

Lucy leaned up, planting a sweet kiss on his cheek before saying: "Falling in love with you I had no control over." The grin on his face took the breath from her body at how magnificent and large it was.

In seconds Lucy was back in his arms, lifted off the floor, his head buried into the crook of her neck. "I love you too...weirdo." He laughed, enjoying each others warmth.

"You're the weirdo, Natsu!" She gave him a playful smack, earning a fake groan of pain.

So finally, after what seemed like an eternity of calling each other names, he put her down back onto her bed. He joined her, snuggling together against the headboard. All seemed well till Lucy shot up.

"Oh I almost forgot!" She turned to Natsu, grabbing his hands. "I still owe you and Happy lunch since I took that mission by myself." As if on que, Natsu's stomach growled.

"FOOOOO~DDDD~!" He lept off the bed and out the door, leaving a laughing Lucy behind.

As she locked up her apartment and turned around she was unexpectedly greeted with a pair of warms lips on her own. The second it happened; it ended, making Lucy pout at her new boyfriend.

"Don't worry, there'll be more where that came from!" He laughed, taking her hand and guiding the dazed girl down the street. Lucy soon came back to her senses.

"Oh, yeah, by the way, you're mine forever, Luce!"

"I know, ya pink weirdo."

"Hey!"

And so the lost story of the princess and the dragon has come to an end. Even if there are no more pages left of the book; their love will live long and shine brighter than the stars, will bring passion hotter than a flame and will always remain in ink on pages that will last no matter how many eternities they will gain.

Long live the princess and the dragon.

The end?

*Sobs because it's pretty much ended and it came out so late and it possibly sucked*

Thank you for still following on with this even though I've been a terrible updater. Oh, and if you still want a piece of this story I will be doing a short summary chapter that sorta leads on from this chapter and will pretty much ends things on a good note!

I would like to apologize for the crappy romance, I'm basically a gore writer. I did a piss-take story for class that started off good but ended in torture. The boys loved it, girls sighed saying things like "Only her." or "I wouldn't expect less." My teacher on the other hand (whose a goody-toe shoes) told me to seek help and I might be disturbed.

Anyway thank you to all my reviewers and all who favorited this story. Once again, thank you for staying with me even with the absurd updates. This chapter took 3 friggin months! Although it's my longest one...*ponders number of words while stroking mah beard and adjusting my monocle*

So long good fellows! If you have any pairing requests that you might like me to write, I might make a whole collection of pairing drabbles (not confirmed yet).

I LOVE YOU GUYS 5EVER!
