Chapter Ten: Harry's Dilemma
Harry awoke in the hospital wing a short while after fainting. Putting his glasses on he, looked around him. The first thing he saw almost made him faint again.
Staring back at him from a chair beside his bed, was a woman with almond shaped green eyes and fiery red hair, next to her was a man with brown eyes, rounded glasses like him and a crows nest of raven coloured hair. Unsmiling, he reached towards his neck where Diamond was and he heard Fawkes speak to him through their familiar bond.
"Diamond is not here, she fainted as well shortly after you did, all your familiars did, except for me. I actually flamed you here to the hospital wing and before you start to yell and scream that those are Death Eaters impersonating your parents, I can confirm they are who they say they are. So be nice and do something about those feelings of your, Diamond, myself and Hedwig can feel them even if you are too dense to realise it yourself. Now say something to your parents they are waiting to hear your voice, preferably when you aren't yelling." the phoenix told him slowly nodding its head.
Harry nodded his head and turned to look at his parents. "Why did you get to come back early? I was under the impression that it wouldn't be until Voldemort was dead?" he asked.
James looked at him. He smiled. "The Fates decided that with the identification of your new powers and your friends just coming into their own power wise, that you would need additional training. Plus not only did they think that you need additional training with your power; but you would need guidance when a certain event that I cannot go into detail about at the moment occurs. They said it would happen sooner rather than later. This was simply to give you time to adjust to the new powers that would come with this specific occurance. That is why we were allowed to come back early." he explained.
"Oh." Harry said. Turning to his mother, he looked at her and hungrily took in her features specifically her green eyes.
"So it is true. I have your eyes." he said smiling.
"Yes, you do. There is a friend of yours that is waiting to see you." Lily replied smiling back.
Suddenly, Harry was jumped on from someone off of the bed. All he could see was a lot of bushy brown hair.
"Hermione, I can't breathe. Let go. Please." Harry wheezed. Hermione released him, and then she did something he never expected. She kissed him full on the lips. When his surprise receeded, he melted into the kiss. As they deepened the kiss, a glow began to form around them. Everyone in the room except for the other couple that had gone through the same thing, gasped. A bright blue and gold halo surrounded them, and enveloped them. Lily and James smiled as they witnessed the merging of their son's soul with his soulmate. They knew they were witnessing the merging of not only souls, but of magical cores.
Lily looked at her husband. "I think that my father will want to talk to them when they are finished. And we will need to start their training of the powers they will get through the bond sooner than anticipated I think." She told him.
James looked at her and nodded. "We also need a way to keep this from Albus. Though he is no longer here at Hogwarts, he still has considerable influence at the Ministry. This will be in the Hall of Records, and will register as a marriage, just as all soulbonds do. Though there hasn't been one since your parents and us. This is I think, going to be very interesting." James replied.
When the two eleven year olds pulled apart, they looked at everyone, the glow of true love and souls having been bonded still on their face.
Then, they both fainted…..
A/N: I know that this chapter is shorter, but if anyone can tell me why the chapters title is Harry's Dilemma, then they will get to choose who will be the next pair, also I want people to pm me with suggestions as to whether this should be a multi bond story for people other than James and Lily and Harry and Hermione. Sorry for the late post as well. I hope that this chapter is up to par with the rest of them, I did write it on the fly and it may not be as well crafted as the others. In addition to whether this will be a multi bond story, please tell me if you think that Albus has suffered enough or if I should write a chapter where Harry with the help of his family and friends proceeds to further destroy Albus's reputation.
