A week later I was walking back to the house from School when I noticed a lot of police officers stationed outside of the Skyscraper City Bank with their guns pointed at the doors.
"What's going on?" I asked.
"Banks being robbed and one of our men called us from inside," the nearest officer said. "We can't get in or they'll shoot the hostages."
I thought about what they said… and decided to try something. I went the other way, to the back of the building and deactivated the disguise. After this was done I ran up the side of the building. When I went over the side I stomped through the roof, right on top of one of the robbers. The others took notice, turned their guns on me and started shooting. With my speed, side-stepping to avoid the bullets was easy. Then I got tired of dodging and started running around the room. It was when the robbers ran out of ammo that I started hitting back. I got in front of one and used Sonic's Homing attack to knock the guy off his feet. I used a back kick to knock the second guy down and the last I just dashed into, knocking him down and running out of the building with a Sonic Boom behind me that shattered the windows on the building. I reached the house and reactivated my disguise before I walked into the door.
"You're early." Chris greeted. "You run?"
"Yeah, bully problems, y'know?" I said. He didn't buy it, but he let it slide.
Later at dinner, Ben turned on the news, and a story about a Blue Blur stopping an armed bank robbery came on. I got the scolding of a lifetime, but Chris told him to let up.
"Grandpa! How can you go easy on him!? He could've been caught!"
"He was moving too fast for the Robbers and the Police to see him," Chris said. "You don't need to yell at him for trying to help."
Let up Chris, I thought, I need this.
