Chapter Ten: Became A Night Star
Hiccup was standing in a foggy forest, not knowing where to go. He could see a shadow figure in the distance.
"Hello, who is there?" Hiccup yelled.
The figure disappeared. Hiccup didn't know what to do. He then suddenly felt a presence behind him. When he looked behind him, there was nothing there. He turned back around and a blue dragon was in front of him. This scared Hiccup to where he fell back on his butt.
"Who…who are? What do you want?" Hiccup asked.
"I came to warn you Hiccup." The blue dragon replied.
"Warn me of what?" Hiccup asked.
"You will have to make a hard choice. A choice that will affect Luna's future." The dragon said.
"Wait you're that dragon from the island. How did you get me here?" Hiccup asked.
"I did not. You are dreaming Hiccup and I came into your dream to give you a warning." The dragon said.
"I don't understand the warning. What does it mean?" Hiccup asked.
"I'm sorry but I must go. Heed my warning Hiccup for the time draws near." The dragon said before fading away.
Hiccup woke up with a bad pain in his head. Toothless woke up as well. He noticed Hiccup was holding his head.
"You okay Love?" Toothless asked.
"Yes I'm okay just a head pain. It will go away." Hiccup replied as he got out of bed.
Hiccup went downstairs to get some food while Toothless stayed upstairs with Luna. Hiccup was puzzled on what that dragon meant by choosing. Hiccup got some bread for himself, a few fish for Toothless and a small fish for Luna. He went back upstairs.
"Here you Toothless." Toothless said as he threw Toothless's fish at him.
The fish landed right on Toothless's bedrock. Toothless ate them in one bite.
"Thanks Love." Toothless said as he licked his lips.
Hiccup sat on the bed, near Luna and ate his bread. Just as he finished the first piece, he heard the front door open and close.
"Hiccup are you up?" Stoick yelled.
Hiccup went downstairs to his dad.
"Dad be quiet. Luna is still sleeping." Hiccup said softly.
"Oh sorry son. It's time to announce your arrival home." Stoick whispered.
"Okay dad just let me get ready and make sure to tell the villagers to be quiet." Hiccup said.
"Okay son. Meet me in the great hall." Stoick said as he was leaving.
Hiccup exhaled and went back to his bed. He picked up Luna.
"Well Toothless it's time to face everyone." Hiccup said.
Toothless got off his rockbed and followed Hiccup to the front door. Hiccup opened the door and Toothless went out first but Hiccup followed, closing the door behind him. They both headed for the great hall, which wasn't far from Hiccups home. Once they reached the doors, they both took a moment to gather there strength.
"Don't worry Love everything will be fine." Toothless said.
"I wish I could be that sure." Hiccup replied.
"Me and Luna will be right beside you." Toothless said.
Hiccup smiled at Luna.
"Well lets see what everybody will say." Toothless said as he put his claw on the door.
"Hun." Hiccup said.
"What?" Toothless asked.
"My dad and my mom called each other hun. I think that was a love nickname they did to show their love. I'm going to use it with you as well." Hiccup replied.
"It does sound fun to say." Toothless relied.
"Yes it is. Okay Hun lets go." Hiccup said as he put his hand on the other door.
They both opened the doors together. Entering into the great hall. Everyone whispered surprise at them. Hiccup and Toothless were shocked. They were expecting everyone to have angry faces but instead everyone had joy. Hiccup and Toothless walked down to the around fire place where Stoick and Gobber were. Once Hiccup and Toothless reached them, everyone was quiet. There was a long moment of silence.
"Dad why is everyone so quiet?" Hiccup asked.
"We are waiting to hear what you have to say." Stoick replied.
"I don't know where to begin." Hiccup said.
"How about explain Toothless talking for starters." Stoick suggested.

After explaining everything to everyone, they all were comfortable with the fact that Hiccup and Toothless were in love with each other and even more comfortable with Hiccup being able to produce a baby. Berk celebrated the return of Hiccup and Toothless along with a new member of Berk. Hiccup was sitting in the back, holding Luna who was awake. Toothless was with his dragon friends. Astrid came and sat with Hiccup.
"So you and Toothless are lovers now." Astrid said.
"Yes we are." Hiccup replied.
"And you have a child together." Astrid said.
"Yes we do. Is this going anywhere Astrid?" Hiccup asked.
"Just wanted to know, what was it like?" Astrid asked.
"What was what like?" Hiccup asked all confused.
"Sex with Toothless. What was it like?" Astrid asked.
"Oh um it was good." Hiccup said as he blushed red.
"You're lying. I can see it on your face. What was it really like? Astrid asked.
"It was amazing. I felt sensations you couldn't believe. When we first did it, it felt right." Hiccup said.
Astrid just stared at him like she was in shock.
"What's wrong?" Hiccup asked her.
"Nothing just surprised is all." She replied.
"Was there anything you wanted to know?" He asked.
"No that's it" She replied as she got up and left.
Toothless came over to see how Hiccup and Luna were doing.
"How are you two doing?" Toothless asked.
"Were kind of tired actually. I think were retiring for the night." Hiccup said.
"Okay, I'll tell Stoick and were go back home." Toothless said.
Toothless went and told Stoick. Hiccup, Toothless and Luna went home. Once they got home, Hiccup and Luna were in the bed and Toothless was on his rockbed. They all fell asleep quickly.

Sixteen years later, Hiccup, Toothless and Luna had their own place and are living peacefully on Berk. Hiccup worked at the saddle shop and Toothless stayed home to take care of Luna. Luna grew up respecting her parents. Stoick visited any chance he got to see his granddaughter. Hiccup was coming home from work. The distance was only a thirty minuet walk. When he got home, Stoick was there talking with Luna and Toothless. They were in the dining room.
"Hey dad, welcome home" Luna said happily.
"Thanks Luna. Hi Hun and hi dad." Hiccup said.
"Welcome home Love. There is some coffee in the kettle." Toothless said.
"Thanks Hun." Hiccup replied.
Hiccup got some coffee and sat with everyone.
"Hey dad I have something for you. I made it by hand." Luna said as she got up.
As Luna got up, she fell down on the floor. Hiccup and Toothless went to her quickly. Luna was breathing lightly and her pulse was weak.
"What's wrong with her?" Stoick asked.
"I'm not sure dad" Hiccup replied.
"Her soul is fading away." A mysterious voice said.
Everyone turned around and saw a blue dragon. Hiccup and Toothless looked at the dragon.
"It's you from my dream and from the island." Hiccup said.
"Yes Hiccup and I had warned you." The dragon said.
"That was sixteen years ago. I never understood what the warning was." He replied.
"Luna's soul is fading. A dragonoid's soul starts to fade after sixteen years. To stop it from fading, it needs the soul from its birth parent." The dragon said.
"What does she mean she warned you sixteen years ago?" Toothless asked.
"Sixteen years ago, she came into my dream and warned me that Luna's future was in danger and I would have a choice to make." Hiccup replied.
The dragon held out a clear orb.
"What is that?" Toothless asked.
"It's a soul orb extractor. It takes a soul from a body and that soul can be placed in any living creature." The dragon replied.
Stoick and Toothless were confused.
"So all I have to do is give Luna my soul and she will live." Hiccup said.
"That is correct. I'll concentrate my magic and the orb will pull your soul out and place it in Luna's body." The dragon said.
"Is another way to save our daughter?" Toothless asked.
"No because Luna wasn't born from two dragonoids, her soul couldn't hold onto that body." The dragon said.
"I'll do it…for Luna. I would have given my life to protect her. Both me and Toothless would have." Hiccup said.
"What about my soul? Won't mine work instead?" Toothless asked.
"No, the soul has to be from the one who gave her life, which is Hiccup." The dragon said.
Hiccup picked Luna's body. He could feel her life slipping away.
"If we're going to do this, were going to do it at a special place." Hiccup said.
"What place is that?" The dragon asked.
"The place where all this began, to Night Fury Valley." Hiccup said..t the Luna le shodaughter are of Luna. k
"Very well then, I'll meet you there." The dragon said.
Hiccup and Toothless went outside. Hiccup was getting on Toothless. Once he was set up, Stoick handed Luna to him.
"Son before you go I just wanted to tell you…me and your mother are proud of you. More prouder then we could have been in our entire lives." Stoick said.
"Thanks dad." Hiccup replied.
Toothless took off with haste. They didn't know how much time they had before Luna would be gone forever. They got there within two minutes. Toothless landed and Hiccup got off with Luna in his arms. The blue dragon was already there like she said she would. Hiccup and Toothless went to her.
"Are you ready?" The dragon asked.
"Yes I am." Hiccup replied.
Hiccup put Luna's body on the ground and he laid next to her, holding her hand. Toothless went to Hiccup and kissed him one last time.
"I love Hiccup." Toothless said after the kiss.
"I love you to Toothless." Hiccup said with a tear coming out of his eye.
The dragon stood at Hiccup and Luna's feet. The orb started to glow a light green and slowly turned darker. Toothless put his claw on Hiccups hand, which Hiccup squeezed tightly. The orb was now a dark green color. Hiccup stopped squeezing Toothless claw. Toothless knew what that meant.
"Now to transfer Hiccups soul into Luna's body." The dragon said.
The dragon placed the orb on Luna's chest and the orb slowly disappeared into Luna. A moment passed and Luna slowly woke. Toothless went and held her tightly.
"What…what happened? Where am I?" She asked.
"We almost lost you. You were dying but your back now." Toothless said.
"Where is daddy Hiccup? Where is he?" Luna asked as she looked around.
When she looked to her side, she saw Hiccup laying there motionless.
"Dad I'm all better." Luna said.
There was no moment from Hiccup. Luna went and shook Hiccup.
"Dad wake up. This isn't funny." Luna said as she shook him.
Toothless grabbed Luna and held her tightly.
"Hiccup is gone. He gave his soul to you so you could live." Toothless said.
"No…That can't be…You're…You're lying. We were supposed to be a family." Luna said.
"I'm sorry child but it's true. Your father gave his life so you could have one." The dragon said.
Luna started to cry. She turned around and held Toothless. They both started to cry.
"There is something he left for both of you." The dragon said.
"What's that?" Toothless said.
The dragon put the orb down on the ground.
"Toothless, Luna if you're hearing this then the soul transfer was complete." Hiccups voice said.
"That is dad's voice." Luna said.
"Yes but listen" The dragon said.
"I was able to do a memory voice log and keep it in the orb. I just wanted to let you both know that I love you guys. More than anything in the whole world. Toothless, we had amazing adventures together but the most memorable one was raising Luna together. Luna, you are the most beautiful being I have seen in this world and I am glad you are my daughter. I want you to live your life. Finally, Toothless I want you to tell my dad thanks for being there. For raising me all by himself. I love all of you and I am glad my life had such love and gifts." Hiccups voice said.
The dragon picked up the orb. She looked at Toothless.
"Can you take that thing off your tail?" The dragon asked as she pointed to Toothless's alternate tail.
"Yes, why do you want to know that?" Toothless asked.
"You can't fly without a rider correct. I have one final task that Hiccup wanted me to do." The dragon said.
Toothless took the alternate tail off with the help of Luna. The dragon stood over Toothless's tail and curled over it. When she uncurled and moved away, Toothless missing tail wing was restored. Toothless looked at it in shock. He would have never thought that his missing wing tail would be fixed. Even Luna was amazed at how the dragon did that.
"How did you do that?" Luna asked.
"Dragon magic my dear." The dragon said.
Toothless and Luna looked at the new tail wing but when they looked back up, the dragon was gone. They looked around and couldn't see her. Toothless knew she did her disappear magic. Toothless and Luna went back to Hiccups body. Luna placed Hiccups body on Toothless's back and they flew back to Berk. When they flew over Berk, everyone was outside like they were waiting for them. Toothless saw Stoick and so they landed near him. Luna picked up Hiccup and handed him to Stoick.
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." Luna said with a tear.
Stoick held Hiccup and started to cry.
"Your son is a hero. He saved Luna's life. He saved that last of the dragonoids." Toothless said.
"I know." Stoick replied.
"So no more tears but instead let's honor him." Toothless said.
Stoick looked at Hiccup.
"We will bury him with his mother." Stoick said.
"I think he would have wanted that." Toothless said.
Everyone followed Stoick, who lead them to where Hiccups mother's grave, was. It didn't take long to bury Hiccup because everyone on Berk helped. Now everyone was standing at Hiccups grave.
"I just wanted to say thank you all for helping. Hiccup was always there for us all when we needed him. He was also a good partner and was a good father. I couldn't have asked for a better mate." Toothless said.
Everyone just held their heads down. Some were crying while others were trying not to.
"I…I… I never really told Hiccup how proud I was of him. I only told him a few times but the truth is that I was proud of him every day." Stoick said as just a tear ran down his cheek.
"Dad, you gave birth to me, you and Toothless raised me and now you saved me. The last of the dragonoids. I will live a full and happy life." Luna said.
It was night time. Everyone stood there in a moment of silence. Then everyone left a few at a time until it was only Luna.
"I don't want you to go." She said.
Luna looked up at the stars and one star twinkled. Luna smiled.
"You became a night star." She said with a smile.
