AAAND I'm back! Lol sorry about the joke. I'm Sorry is far from over. Kinda. Anyways! I am unhappy with myself for making such short chapters. It is not like me at all. This chapter will probably be the shortest but I had to update before the month is over. I promise the next chapters will be longer. I don't own anything!

I was asleep. I knew I was asleep. But I also wasn't asleep. I tossed and turned in my bed. I wasn't dreaming but I wasn't thinking either. I was very uncomfortable. I gave up on trying to sleep and sighed. What else could I do this late at night? I laid staring up at the ceiling when I felt someone, or something, staring at me.

From the corner of my eye I saw a tall shadow standing near my window. I clenched my jaw and slowly looked towards it but just like that, it was gone. I sighed and shook my head. Not sleeping was going to be the death of me. I turned on my side and my eyes widened. In front of me stood a tall woman with golden eyes. She stared at me intently.

"Who are you?" I asked. This woman seemed familiar in a way. She reached out and before I could move I was engulfed in darkness. My eyes opened and the right side of my head throbbed terribly. What happened? I looked around. I wasn't in my room any more. I was behind a bush. I didn't recognize any of my surroundings. Suddenly I heard rustling above me and I gasped. It was me. Another one of me. The other me jumped swiftly from tree to tree. I was followed by Naruto and Sakura. I stood and followed.

I was panting by the time I reached them. Sakura was on the floor and being dragged by a man in white. Naruto was being held by what seemed to be a clone of the man while I fought two of them. This seemed so familiar. My head throbbed sending shocks all over my body. I doubled over in pain and when I looked up I was in darkness again. This time I saw capsules. Everyone I knew was in them including me. What the fuck was going on?! Then I saw her. She had a scratch on her cheek but other than that she looked lifeless. I ran to her and pounded on the glass. "Hinata!" I screamed her name over and over again.

"She can't hear you."

I turned to see the same woman. "Let her go!" I ran to her but it was as if I was transparent and I simply went through her body. She turned.

"Uchiha Sasuke. Do you remember now?" My head pounded again and I gripped it. I remembered. I remember Konoha. The war. Straying away from Hinata and her team. But how? I thought I would surely die. The woman walked towards Hinata and placed a hand on the glass. "She risked her life for you, you know. Our little deal was that I get to keep her soul in exchange for your life."

My eyes widened. Hinata… did that for me? "Does she… remember this?" my voice came out as a whisper. The woman nodded. All these years. All her staring at me and blushing. And how cruel I had been to her. My stomach wrenched and I felt like throwing up.

"The reason why I'm telling you this is because I need her alive. And you almost killed her." Those last three words rang in my head.

Almost killed her. Almost killed her. ALMOST. KILLED. HER.

"HINATA!" I woke up screaming her name as cold sweat dripped from my face. My door swung open and my mother ran in with my brother behind her.

"Sasuke! What's wrong?" My mom put her hand on my forehead. I couldn't speak. My voice wouldn't come. Itachi looked me over. His eyes were a mixture of worry and anger, probably from waking up so suddenly.

He yawned. "Hinata is still in the hospital."

I looked at the calendar on my wall. She has been in the hospital unconscious for almost two weeks. I fall back in bed. "I'm fine." I whispered. Itachi yawned again and walked out. My mother leaned down and placed a kiss on my forehead before leaving and closing the door behind her. I simply rubbed my eyes.

Gaara's POV

I sat on the chair across from the bed. It was early, about six a.m. The beeping of the hospital machines were soothing to me. It meant she was still alive. I looked at her face. She was still a little pale. Her lips weren't as chapped. The crapes were healing as was the wound on her ankle. I sighed and rested my head on my fist. The last time I heard her voice was two weeks ago, and what she had said had completely broken my heart. I shook my head as the slight tugging on my chest disappeared.

There was a knock on the door and Temari walked in. She smiled at me and walked to Hinata. She said good morning to her just like she did every day. Then she walked to me and handed me the bag that had my school uniform. Ever since the accident I had stayed with Hinata. The only times I would leave would be at night to go home and take a shower. Then I would be back on this bloody uncomfortable chair.

I took the bag and placed it down. She frowned. "Gaara you can't keep skipping school." I answered her with silence. She sighed and picked up the homework from yesterday. She would go to my classes, pick it up, bring it to me, then drop it off the next morning. I knew I was being a hassle but I couldn't leave. Not until Hinata woke up. I wanted to be there when she did. Why? I didn't know. Part of me wanted to confront her about what she said. Another part of me just wanted to kiss her and hold her and be there for her. Once Temari walked out my face fell. I walked to and slightly moved her bangs from her forehead. I leaned down and placed a soft kiss on her. My chest felt tight again.

Why?

Why him? After all he had done to her. She said she loved him. Had there been something going on between them?

I sighed again and looked out the window.

Hinata's POV

"Hinata.. Wake up…"

I heard a voice calling for me.

"Hinata…"

I didn't want to. Everything hurt.

"Wake up…"

Wait.. I recognized this voice. It was her. Was it time for me to go? Is that why I was hurting?

"No Hinata. It's not your time yet. That's why you must wake up. Someone is waiting for you."

For me? Who?

"Hinata.. Wake up.."

Against my will my eyes fluttered open. The bright light hurt my eyes badly and it made my head hurt so much. I blinked slowly and I saw familiar emerald eyes. They looked at me then at his phone. His fingers tapped quickly and when he was done, he looked at me. What happened? Where was I?

"G-Gaara?"

Ouch! My throat burned. Gaara helped me sit up a bit and gave me some water. It helped so much. "What happened?" I asked hoarsely. He looked at me with a confused look as I looked around. I was in the hospital.

"You don't remember?" I shook my head. "That bastard left you in the woods right before the sun set and it started to rain. You were nearly frozen when we found you. We tried warming you up before.." I saw a twinge in his eyes and I remembered. I remembered what I had said. "Before you passed out."

"Gaara-kun… I…" I didn't know what to say. What could I say? He moved away.

"Is it true?"

The look in his eyes made my stomach churn and I looked down. He took my hands and I looked at him.

"Is it true? "

He was so close. I could tell that my silence hurt him more than if I had said anything. "Gaara-kun.."

"Just answer me!" His loud voice made me flinch. He looked down. "Please…" he whispered.

"I-I.. I do.. I love him but I also love you!"

Gaara moved away from me. "You can't love two people at once."

I started to panic and the machines I was hooked up to started beating faster. What was going on?

"Hinata.. You have to choose. I have never, ever, treated you badly. He left you in the woods and you nearly died." I looked out the window. The day was sunny but there were a few dark clouds hanging around. "Hinata. Who do you choose?"

I looked down as tears began pooling in my eyes. After a few moments I heard footsteps and when I looked up I saw Gaara walking towards the door. I wanted to call for him. To apologize and tell him that I love him. But I couldn't. And I didn't.

Sasuke's POV

I tapped my foot waiting for the elevator. I was still panting. I overheard Temari telling Tenten that the emo had texted her saying that Hinata woke up and I was off. I ran to the hospital. I had to see her.

I growled and ran to the stairs.

Once I had reached her room, before I grabbed the doorknob, the door flew open. I came face to face with Gaara. It looked like he hadn't slept. Had he been here the whole time? I felt guilt. I had left Hinata in the woods and in the hospital. Gaara's eyes held nothing but hatred as he pushed me out of the way and walked away.

I looked at Hinata. She was sitting up with her head hanging low. When I walked up to her she looked at me. Her eyes were full of tears.

"We broke up." she whispered.

I reached out and wiped her tears away with my thumbs before leaning down and gently pressing my lips to hers.

WOW! So I guess that wasn't such a short chapter ne? n.n AND it only took about an hour or two. I'm a horrible author for not updating :c I'll try to update sooner! Please R&R?
