Mating Troubles

Chapter 9:
(Bella's P.O.V)
I watch in horror as my family fights against their enemy. I keep my shield up around them; but something deep inside of me is telling me that something is wrong. I take a closer look at the Volturi army. I can tell that there is something different about them. They seem to be fighting in some sort of trance. I notice that their eyes look clouded over, so I turn towards James and Victoria who are standing beside me.
"James is there a vampire here that can control others?" I ask as I look around the field.
"Yes dear one, you see the girl standing beside Aro. The one with the dark brown hair, that is Chelsea, and she has the ability to create bonds." he says pointing across the field to where Aro is standing with two females. I can tell one is a shield like myself, so the other one must be Chelsea.
"You must take the girls head, dear child." A voice in my head says. I sigh and turn to James who is busy watching the battle closely.
"James do you think you could use your gift to get close to Chelsea and take off her head?" He looks at me in shock.
"Of course I can, but why do you ask?" I shrug my shoulders.
"A voice told me that we must take the girls head. I think it might break the spell over the others. Look at them, even with my human eyes I can tell that some of them are in some kind of trance and I think that if we can take Chelsea out then the others will stop fighting." He thinks about what I'm saying for a moment before he orders Victoria, Esme, and Alistair to protect me, then he is gone in a blink of an eye.
A few minutes later I turn to Aro when I hear him scream and yell. I see James standing over Chelsea's headless body. I turn back to the fighting and I see every member of the Volturi stop fighting, even the kings and they shake their heads as if to clear them. Then they turn to Aro to see what had happened.
"Look at what you've done. Jane destroy him!" Aro yells pointing towards James. Jane looks between the two and she shakes her head 'no'.
"Why should I listen to you? I'm no longer your puppet to use as you please." She says as she and her brother Alec, begin stocking towards him. Unfortunately their ability's doesn't work on him as long as the shield is with him. He is protected against mental attacks.
"Child release your shield from your family, they will be safe. Use it against the girl." the voice in my head says.
I slowly release my shield and I gather up what energy I have left and shoot my shield out to wrap around the girl, causing her to jump back in fright.
"It's over Aro! You're no longer fit to rule the vampire world." I call out causing everyone even Aro to look over at me.
"He's no long shielded. You all are free to do with him as you please." Jasper says as he and the rest of our family come over to me. I wrap my arms around his waist, as we watch Marcus and Caius walk over and stand around their brother. The rest of the guard circles around them leaving enough room for us to see what is going on.
"Aro Volturi, you are no longer fit to be king. You are hereby stripped of all your power and charged with committing treason against the royal family. What say you to these charges?" Caius asks as he moves to stand in front of Aro.
"I'm the ruler of this world, not either of you. ME AND MYSELF ALONE! You're nothing more than mere pawns in my plans." Caius growls and smacks Aro as hard as he can, leaving cracks on his face.
"You are no longer a king Aro. You lost that right when you not only challenged your brothers; but you also took away our free will by using Chelsea to bind everyone to you for your own selfish needs…" before he can finish Aro laughs loudly.
"You have no clue what I'm capable of. You're nothing more than a stupid pawn that I should have killed a long time ago, just like I did with Didyme." Everyone gasps and I watch as Marcus falls to his knees.
"Explain yourself Aro!" Marcus cries.
Aro just smiles down at him evilly. "I don't have to explain myself to any of you. You are all beneath me!"
Marcus growls so loudly the ground began to shack before he jumps up and he grabs Aro by his throat and he lifts him off the ground.
"I'm going to kill you and I promise it won't be quick or easy. I'm going to take my sweet time; I'm going to make you watch as I rip every single part of your body off and burn it. Then I'm going to rip your lying tongue out and I'm going to shove it so far up your ass, you'll be singing opera. That I swear to you." Caius grabs his arm trying to calm him down but nothing is working, so he turns to Jasper who nods and sends calm waves to everyone.
(Caius's P.O.V)
I watch as Marcus slowly released Aro and I order Alec to use his powers on Aro. I ordered him and Felix to take Aro to the plane and make sure he doesn't escape. Once they are gone, I turn to the Major and his family.
"We are sorry for the trouble we have caused here today Major. I swear we never intended to fight against you." I say as I bow my head to him.
"It's alright. We all know this was all Aro's doing, so no harm done." I nod and turn to leave but Marcus stops me.
"I would like to thank you dear one, if it wasn't for you I wouldn't have met my mate and I we would still be under Aro's influence and for that I will internally grateful to you." I am shocked when I see the human walk up to my brother and hug him. I almost fall over when he hugs her back.
"Master, what do you want us to do with Chelsea?" Jane asks, pulling me out of my thoughts.
"Burn her!" I say as I walked over to Marcus, just then the human throws herself between Jane and Chelsea's body.
"No! I won't let you kill her."
"Human she is a traitor and she can't be allowed to live."
The human turns to me glaring at me and I can't help but growl at her challenge, which causes Marcus and Jasper to growl at me in response.
"Have you ever thought that maybe she was forced to do what Aro said? Maybe he had something he was hanging over her or he could have threatened her. Can't we just get her side of the story first? Between Jasper and Maggie we will be able to tell if she's being truthful or not. Please?" she begs looking from me to Marcus.
I turn to my brother and he nods to me, so I sigh and agree. The man holding Chelsea's head walks over to me and he hold the head up so I can speak to it.
"Okay Chelsea we are giving you one chance to give us your side of the story. We want to know why you used your gift to bind everyone to Aro. Do you understand? Blink once for yes and twice for no." I watch as she blinks once then I nod to the man to put her back together but I order Demetri and Jane to stand guard.
When I looked around again I see most of Jasper's family standing around us, making sure Chelsea has nowhere to go if she decided to take off. Once Chelsea is back together, she decides to just sit on the grass looking down in shame.
"Chelsea Volturi thanks to this lovely young lady you have been spared. We will allow you to tell us why you were helping Aro and then we will decide your punishment." she nodded and thanks Bella.
"When I first meet Aro, he and a small army decided to attack my Coven. My mate and I were the only ones he speared because he found out about my gift and he told me that he would kill my mate if I didn't do what he said." Jane turns to me.
"Its true master, Alec and I were there that terrible day. Aro told us that the coven was creating immortal children, so he gathered a few of us to attack them. It was only after the battle that we realized that we were wrong." I nod and turn back to Chelsea.
"When we arrive back at the castle Aro took me to his office and he made me wait there until he returned then he took my mate and he told me he was going to show him to our room but when he returned he told me that he hid my mate and that if I ever wanted to see him again then I had to do what he told me to do." she looks up at me with venom in her eyes.
"I didn't want to bind everyone to him but I knew that he wouldn't hesitate to kill my mate. I would have used my gift on him but Renata was always beside him so my gift never worked on him. I've tried to tell you about his plans before but every time I tried Aro somehow found out and he would punish me. I even tried to unbind you all but Aro realized what I did when Marcus became enraged when his wife death." I thought back to that day and I turn to Jasper who nods along with Marcus's mate Maggie, letting me know she was telling the truth.
"Chelsea, if the king's spare you will you promise never to use your powers unless they both ask you to." Bella asks causing Chelsea to turn to her.
"I swear! I just want my mate back. I haven't seen him in over 60 years." she says sobbing. Bella wraps her arms around her and she holds her as she cries. I turn to my brother and we begin discussing what to do.
"Brother are you sure we can trust her?" I ask. Marcus nods and turns to the others.
"I think so! I also think we should invite the Major and his mate to take over Aro position. They would make great rulers" I nod in agreement.
"Wait there was something else I forgot to mention. I remember Aro talking to someone on the phone and he said something about allowing the Cullen clan to use humans for some kind of experiment. He told whoever he was talking to that he was going to kill his wife so that they could be together and that his wife wasn't his true mate he was just using her for a release." Chelsea says causing everyone, even myself, to growl.
"That bastard! I'll kill him!" I growl and everyone nods in agreement, after a few minutes I sigh trying to calm myself.
"Chelsea since you've told us nothing but the truth we have decided to show you mercy. You will only use your power on people who are sentenced to serve us for a long period but once their time is up I want you to unbind them. Do you agree with this decision?" Marcus asks looking down at the poor girl.
"I understand and agree to your terms masters." I nod and turn to Jasper and his mate.
"Major, my brother and have talked and we would like to offer you and your lovely mate a position as a leader of the Volturi, alongside my brother and I." I say, smiling at the two who look shocked at my words.
"Is it okay if we talked about it and get back to you?" Bella asks, as she walked over to her mate, both Marcus and I nod.
"Of course child take as long as you like. We will have to leave now though; but wherever you have made a decision please call us anytime. My love would you like to remain here for a while or would you like to return with us? Marcus asks as he kisses his mate on her head.
"I'll return with you but can I say good bye to my family?" he nods and she walks over to her family.
"Congratulation on finding your mate brother, I'm happy for you." I say as I hug my brother.
"Thank you Caius. I can't wait to begin my forever with her." he says as we both start laughing. It was then I notice that I was beginning to change and I have a feeling it was all thanks to the lovely Bella.
'I have a feeling the vampire world is going to be in for a big shock when Bella becomes one of us!' I think to myself smiling.
