Enjoy ;)

It had been two days since Alina's first meeting with Lucian. Ever since then, the two had met every night, and had spoken. One of the conversations was stuck in Alina's mind-
"Hey, Lucian?"
"Yes? What is it?"
"I've been meaning to ask you... How did you get to my cell that night?"
"I was in the Western Mansion, guised as one of the Possessed. Since I was so used to acting as Eduard, acting like one of the Possessed was quite simple"
"Oh, okay. And sorry for another question, but that night you said something about the witches being restricted to an area...?"
"No need to be sorry. And any beings of power are restricted to the Eastern side of Romania"
"But don't wolves... Have power too?"
"Yes we do, but not to the extent of witches. They have power radiating off them, so much that the humans sense it. If they were to try and cross, they would have difficulty. But they don't mind. They have the Possessed to do their bidding"
Alina nodded in understanding, and a devious gleam entered Lucian's eye.
"Enough of that" he whispered, and leaned in for a kiss.

Alina shut off the rest of the memory. She felt so ugly, so disgusting of seeing two wolves at one time, and her wolf was furious at her. She was constantly fighting her wolf for peace, and there were times when she had almost phased when she was kissing Lucian. Her wolf wanted Lucian's throat, and wanted Vasile. While Alina didn't want Vasile's throat, she didn't want to see him hurt, either.
The day-to day life in the cave wasn't really that interesting. She was cooped up, and Vasile was so protective he didn't let her out of the cave, and when she did out of his sight. They were trying to figure out what to do with the whole witch dillema, but no plans that had a good chance of winning were being brought forth. They had a few of the Possessed captured, but they were locked up in the old pack mansion, which was still inhabited, so that the witches didn't suspect that anyone had left.
"Beta, sir! We have a visitor! It's your brother!"
Alina froze. How did they remember?
'You see, the spell had a chain reaction. If one person remembered me, the spell would be broken and everyone would remember me'
Even in the day, Lucinan's voice haunted her mind. But this was terrible! Wouldn't there be a fight for leadership, for dominance, now? Why had Lucian returned?
A horrible churning in her stomach made her think that it was because of her. She quickly pushed that thought away, and ran to the door, while the others fetched Vasile.
She saw him standing in the front door and stood in front of him, making sure not to stand close to him.
"Alina. You're looking well" Lucian commented, his green eyes sparkling with mischief, but his tone was even.
"And Vasile" he said, startling Alina and making her look over her shoulder and see Vasile running up to them, "It's nice too see you"
Vasile was agitated, and he narrowed his eyes at his brother "Nice to see you as well. Not to be rude, but what are you doing here?"
"Aren't you going to invite me in?" Lucian queried, and Alina frowned. Something was up with Lucian. He was not normally so rude.
"I suppose I will. Let's go to one of the more private caverns. The pack is still in commotion about being lied to, so you won't be seeing father for a while. Your doing of course."
"Of course" Lucian replied, the edges of his mouth twisting as though he wanted to smirk. Without another word, Vasile began to guide them to the cavern. Alina knew the way due to her living here for so long, or at least what felt like centuries.
She looked at Lucian in puzzlement, and he caught her staring and winked. She felt her cheeks heating and looked down at her feet, and he gave a low chuckle.
Vasile would've heard it with his wolf hearing, but he chose to ignore it.
Once they reached the cavern, Vasile glared at Lucian and and said, "Well?"
Alina didn't know why Vasile was so hostile to Lucian, but Lucian seemed absolutely at ease. Too much ease.
"Well, what?"
"What are you doing here?"
"Coming home. Paying a visit. Helping against the threat that you're too incompetent to fix"
"Let me remind you that while you may be older than me, there is a reason that I'm the Alpha" Vasile growled, and Alina saw a flicker of fear on Lucian's face before it disappered.
"Of course" Lucian replied, back to his carefree persona "And-"
He was cut off by Alexander stepping into the room, his dominance filling it, and Alina fell down to her knees and she saw Vasile and Lucian do the same. She was used to living in the village, so having dominance of this power used on her was unnerving.
The power was slowly drawn back in, and the father looked at his oldest son "Why are you here?"
Lucian's expression became serious "You need help with the witch threat. I'm avaliable"
"You realize you just caused a giant rift in the pack, and their belief in our leadership?"
"I realize so. And I also know that the only thing to calm them is to see a battle between the two heirs"
Alexander was silent for a moment, then turned to him "That is true. And it also needs to be done as soon as possible"
"Wait" Alina cut in "A fight to the death?"
"No" Vasile said, and she could still sense the anger coming off of him "A fight to submission"
Relied entered her, and then confusion. Who would she want to win?
Conversation over, they moved to the central cavern, and then to the wider cavern in the back where some wolves were sparring. This was the training room, where wolves learnt moves effective against the Possessed, and let off some steam.
When Alexander entered the wolves who were training left the court and went to the jagged rocks that shot out, perfect for seats and storage for medicine and other herbal remedies for any wounds that happened. Not that there were many, of course. The dominant wolves in charge kept everything in check.
Alexander called a wolf over, and the wolf listened to whatever he was saying and darted off, informing wolves of the upcoming battle.
Alina just felt sick. She didn't want either of them to lose. She knew that wasn't possible.
Vasile was tense, but it wasn't out of fear. It was this anger that had been radiating off of him ever since Lucian had arrived. She may have been blocking him, but she still sensed his major emotions. But they felt like a bad frequency.
Lucian looked a little nervous, but to anyone who didn't know him you'd say he looked calm. He was surveying the arena, but making look as though he was carelessly staring off into the distance.
The cavern was filling up with wolves. Vasile and Lucian walked beside each-other, and as they passed Alina she heard Vasile growl to him,
"She's mine"
"Not for long"
This led to a snarl from Vasile, but it was a low one, a threatening one. This exchange puzzled Alina. Why was Lucian so open to Vasile about stealing her from Vasile? How did Vasile know?
Did Vasile know? Did Vasile know?
Alina felt like she wanted to cry. She knew that cheating was wrong, and she'd done it anyway. And now they were going to fight. Her eyes were burning and her throat was tightening. She felt so tired. So, so tired.
They phased and began to circle each-other, and then everyone stepped back and Lucian lunged. Alina's heart was in her throat. He crashed into Vasile, and to Alina's shock, Vasile took the blow, dug his claws into the floor, and pushed back, with nearly as much power. Lucking went flying back and Vasile was chasing after him, and there was claws, and then they were struggling, and blood was matting fur, and then somehow Lucian's neck was in Vasile's throat.
Lucian stopped struggling and Vasile backed away, and Lucian lowered his head, but the look in his eyes was reluctance and anger. Alexander came forward to them with two piles of clothes, and the medics followed them to the medical room, where Bianca was.
Bianca. Alina wished she was here, right now, with her...
"Boo!" Alina shrieked and jumped out of her skin, only to see... Bianca! Bianca was behind her!
Alina charged at her and caught her in a bear hug, and Bianca laughed. She stayed there, and then Alina questioned,
"Where have you been!? Are you okay!?"
"I'm fine! You might want to come with me people are watching"
At that point Alina didn't give a damn on who was watching.

They went to a guest bedroom, and Bianca told her that she'd recently been on a mission to find Possessed, as Vasile trusted in her ability to read people. They'd successfully caught one and dropped the Possessed off at the mansion, then traveling here. Bianca had heard about Aurelia, and she said that even though Aurelia wasn't her favorite person, she was sad to hear about her death. Alina was sad about that too. Aurelia had come down from her throne of mightiness, and Alina was considering her a friend. Bianca scoffed a little at this, but noticed that Alina was sincere, to her shock. Then they moved onto the topic of the two Alpha heirs.
"I can't believe that they erased the pack's memory. I never knew Lucian, but still, this is really going to mess with the pack. Oh"
"Hmm? What's up?"
"You practically had an electric charge run through you when I mentioned Lucian. And there's guilt in your eyes. Alina..." Alina looked down, and tears streamed down her face, but Bianca continued "Alina, I thought you were better than that"
"I thought I was too" Alina sobbed "But I cheated on him and I think he knows! And it was after I told him I loved him!"
Bianca froze "You told Vasile you loved him?"
Alina stared at her wondering why Bianca's reaction was so intense.
"Alina, if you told Vasile you loved him and you didn't mean it... You're going to crush him. You never tell a guy you love them when you don't. As well as lying, it causes a lot of hurt emotions on both parties"
Alina stared at her with wide eyes "I- I didn't know, I'm sorry..."
"I know you didn't know!" Bianca yelled, exasperated, then lowered her voice and continued "And why are you with Lucian anyway?"
"Because he was so tempting, so alluring. Vasile is so suffocating, he always wants to protect me, he would keep me in a freaking bubble if he could! But Lucian hives me space, and he treats me as though I'm a diamond..."
"Is that so?" A masculine voice that Alina knew so well interrupted their conversation, and his scent filled her nostrils. Vasile.
Bianca got up and left, and Alina looked at him with her tear-stricken face and couldn't find anything to say.
"Let's not talk here" he said "Let's go to my cavern"
His cavern. Not our cavern. They walked into his cavern in silence.
Once they were in the room Alina sat on the bed, but Vasile, being the Alpha, stayed standing.
Alina said the first thing that came to her mind "Why didn't you tell me about Bianca?"
He arched an eyebrow, but responded "I wanted it to be a surprise"
"Oh"
"But let's not go away from the real topic at hand. You feel like I'm suffocating you? It's because I love you so god-damn much that the thought of you in any danger kills me. And I'm so mad at myself, because I couldn't save you when you were captured, but Lucian was"
"Vasile..."
"I know you've been seeing Lucian. I'm not stupid. I am however, patient, even if my wolf is not. So I'm going to give you space. Physically" and he tapped his forehead to indicate the bond "And mentally. I'm going on one of the major missions as the leader. We'll be hoping to locate a Fae by the name of Eliza. Do you know her? Wait, of course you do Lucian will've told you all about it. I would stay, but if you and Lucian are going to have public displays of affection, for his safety I've decided. I should leave"
Alina was torn. She didn't want him to go but at the same time he had been an obstacle in her and Lucian's relationship. Her wolf snarled. True, she could only see Lucian as a fling, but Vasile and his commitment was suffocating her. She wasn't ready to settle down. That sounded horrible, but it was true, Alina realized.
Vasile left the cavern, leaving her with a heart broken and a mind so confused, and a wolf demanding that she follow him.

When Alina was lying in the guest room at that night, after briefing Bianca on everything that had happened, Bianca had been a good listener, but was against her relationship with Lucian. Now Bianca's gentle snores was a melody in the quiet dark room.
She could've stayed in Vasile's cavern, but it held too many memories, especially that crack in the wall, where Lucian had delivered the notes.
She mulled over her thoughts. Vasile was strong and steady and reliable. She thought he would always stay and coax her through her problems, even when she was cheating on him. But now she knew that he wasn't something to ditch her feelings on. She had entered an equal relationship, and she should have expected him to break at some point. She was extremely unhappy that he was leaving. She really did care for him, but what she felt for Lucian wasn't the same as what she felt for him.
But what did she feel for Lucian? True, he was extremely alluring and she'd loved the attention, but...
You don't like him.
Her eyes widened. It was so, so clear to her right then. She didn't like Lucian. She'd loved the fact that someone as good-looking as him would go for a nobody like her, but in fact, she really, truly, liked,
Vasile.
She'd been so confused. And that confusion had finally cleared with the shock of Vasile leaving.
She scrambled into a sitting position. The confusion had cleared too late. Vasile was gone, and Lucian was expecting her to be with him. She was probably looked at as the local...
Don't say it
Whore.
She'd been with two brothers. To be honest, if she was Bianca, she'd probably already have left her by now.
She searched for the bond between herself and Vasile, pushed, tried to find him, and found that...
He was blocking her!?
Tears welled in her eyes. Her own mate had left her. She was so disgusting. She hated herself, so, so much.
Somehow, Bianca's gently, lulling snoring had stopped, and Bianca was holding her, and whispering to her that it was alright.
"I- I know now" Alina kept whispering "But it's too late"
"I know, Alina. I know"

The next morning, Alexander called a pack meeting.
"As you all know, my son Lucian has come back" he said "And my other son, Vasile, has left on a mission. I do not want this to cause any rifts between the pack.
"On a more serious note, the mission led by Daniel was a success. They have successfully captured one of the Possessed and left her at the Pack mansion. Pry number of captives is rising.
"But we need more, fast. That's why a new mission will be taken today. We will need you to go undercover, and successfully subdue and contain most of the Possessed"
A few startled murmurs rang across the room at this, but silenced when he spoke again "It will be a team effort. The undercover wolves will slowly draw out the Posessed, and pass them along to another group who will pass them to the last group who will deliver them to the mansion. This needs to be done so the witches do not suspect anything.
"Afterwards, all of the Pack needs to block of the area of the witches to humans and other creatures, so that no new Posessed can arise. From there, we will figure out a new plan. If you have any questions or wish to volunteer, come see me after the meeting"
And like that, they were dismissed. Wolves began to talk and gossip, and Alina met Bianca's eyes and a moment of understanding passed through them.
Without a word, they walked over to Alexander, and he was busy with some wolves. After a minute, he turned his attention over to them.
"We'd like to volunteer for the mission" Bianca said "The undercover one"
Alexander arched an eyebrow "You also Alina?" He questioned, and she nodded "I must warn you, one mistake in that mission is vital. Are you up to that task?"
"Bianca is good at camouflaging" Alina answered "And I've learnt how to scum up the Alpha's ever since I was born. I don't mean it like that" she hurriedly at his expression "But my mother always wanted me to marry the richest most dominant Alpha. I know what I'm doing"
Alexander stared at her for the longest moment, and she fought to stare at anything other than his eyes.
"Alright" he sighed "Camellia will murder me for this, but alright"
She beamed.

I put the note down here because I need to explain something. When I tried to write this chapter, I just stared at the start. Should I include Lucian in this chapter? Or shouldn't I? I realized that there was only so much 'Cave life' a person can write, and said 'What the heck' and put him in anyway. So I hope you enjoyed!

And as for Alina/Lucian's relationship, I know ita extremely short, but the thing is, I started this before Sacrifice of Love came out, so I struggled to include him. He must seem so weird.

Reviews!(Sorry. I haven't been doing it recently, I'll try harder!)

Guest- Heh heh. Its fun having the power. I could kill everyone in this story, and all you'd have to do is deal with it... I'm joking. But the OC's I add can't exist in the FanFic if they aren't in the Grey Wolf series... Something is going to happen to them...

Winchesterck- I'm glad you do! And here's the update! ;)
