"So what happened after that mom?" Summer asked intently as she squeezed her mother's hand comfortingly.
"Well for days after that I tried to find him, went back to his old apartment to see if he had moved back in but I got nothing. I tried Mrs Rosenthal but she hadn't heard from him since we broke up," Aria explained.
"So you never actually saw him again?"
"Maybe," Aria said, her eyes dancing mischievously.
"What? When?!" Summer asked, a glimmer of hope rushing through her.

"Get this thing out of me!" Hanna screamed as she held tightly onto Aria's hand. Aria rolled her eyes, she should've known after the first two times not to hold Hanna's hand as she was giving birth.
"You just need to push a few more times Mrs Rivers, you're almost there," The doctor said patiently trying to calm Hanna.
"Where the hell is my husband?" Hanna screamed out in agony.
"I couldn't reach his cell so Em and Ali went to pick him up. I called your mom too, she's gone to pick up Lucas and Kensi from the Bennett's and she'll look after them tonight. Everything will be fine Han."
"Thank you," Hanna mumbled as she gave one last push. Aria let go of her friend's hand and looked closely at the baby.
"Mrs Rivers you have a beautiful baby girl," The doctor said grinning, Hanna let out a huge sigh of relief and closed her eyes in exhaustion. The doctor cut the umbilical cord and took the baby to be cleaned up.
"Han!" Caleb yelled as he ran into her room with Alison and Emily following quickly behind him.
"You're late you ass!" Hanna mumbled, but wrapped her arms around him anyway.
"Sorry, that was Emily's fault," Caleb muttered shooting her a glare, she rolled her eyes.
"I'm sorry that I didn't want to run over that lovely old couple!" She replied shaking her head, Alison stood between the two giggling.
"All that matters is you're here now," Aria intervened before glancing at the clock in the room. "I'm going to grab some lunch I've been in here all day. Do you guys want anything?"
"Should you really be walking around so much in your condition Ar? You could be due any moment now.." Emily said before Alison hit her arm gently to shut her up.
Aria rolled her eyes, "I'll be fine Em, why don't you two come with me and we can give Han and Caleb some space?"
"Ar can I talk to you for a second?" Hanna asked as she grabbed Aria's hand, Emily and Ali made their way outside to wait for Aria whilst Caleb went to find his wife some water.
"What's up Han?"
"Thank you for today I couldn't have done any of this without you Ar. I couldn't be luckier to have you in my life," Hanna said as she hugged her friend gently.
Aria smiled, "You should get some rest Han, I'll be back in a couple of hours unless they discharge you."
"Bye Aria," Hanna replied as her eyes began to shut.

"Hey Aria, how are you feeling?" Jason asked cheerily, Aria smiled. Since Aria had been getting closer and closer to her due date Jason had called at least three times a day to check how she was doing. Although they weren't living together he spent a lot of the time at her house getting things ready for the baby and helping her out with her other daily activities.
"I'm fine, no sign of anything yet. How's Vancouver?"
"Good, got a couple of meetings in a few hours and if they go to plan then I'll be back in the next day or two. I'm sorry I'm not there to check that you're okay," He replied sighing. Aria smiled and shook her head even though he couldn't see her.
"I have everything under control so don't worry Jase. Thank you though, you know for all of this. Its not everyday that you decide to help a friend have a child."
Jason laughed, "Hm I guess you're a special friend. I know its a big step for the both of us but I know how much you want this Aria, I would always help you."
"Thanks, I'm going over to Ali's for lunch with her and Em so I'll call you later okay?"
"Okay, say hi to my sister for me. I'll call you around 8 your time if that's okay? Try not to party too hard tonight," Jason joked.
"8 is absolutely fine. No parties for me this year, I think I'll have an early night."
"Speak later."
"Bye," Aria said as she hung up, grinning. She slid her phone back into her bag and headed out the door.
"So Ar, any sign of the baby yet?" Emily asked as she poured tea out for Alison and Aria.
Aria sighed and shook her head, "Absolutely nothing, I can't wait until she's born."
"When's Jason getting back? I know he'll be bummed if he misses the birth," Ali said sipping her tea.
"Hopefully tomorrow or the day after, he's not likely to miss anything but for my sake as well I hope that he's here," Aria replied chuckling slightly.
"Well even if he's not here, you know we are. I can't believe I'm going to be an auntie!" Alison exclaimed excitedly, Aria grinned and shook her head. "You sound just like your brother," She commented.
Alison just poked her tongue out and the two girls laughed.
After spending the evening with two of her best friends, Aria decided that she wanted to spend the rest of the night at home and opted to walk back, despite Emily's many attempts at persuading her to let Emily drive her. For a December, the air was surprisingly mild and luckily Aria didn't have too far to walk. She pulled out her phone to check that she didn't have any missed calls from Jason and shoved it back in her pocket. As she continued walking she began to feel pains in her stomach, passing it off as hunger she continued to walk, right up until she saw a face that made her stop dead in her tracks, Ezra.
"Aria?" He called out as he walked towards her gently, she could only nod.
"Ezra, what are you doing here?" She asked, the sight of him three feet away from him was almost overwhelming, damn those pregnancy hormones.
"I was just about to pick up my car, couldn't find any parking space earlier.."
"Its good to see you," Aria commented as she stepped forward and even surprising herself she gave him a hug. He responded immediately and kissed the top of her head, the way he used to do. He hugged her back lightly as he felt her bump against him.
"Aghh!" Aria called out in pain, Ezra immediately shot back.
"I'm sorry, did I do something wrong?" He asked in a panic.
"No," Aria breathed, "I think, I think my baby's coming!"
She looked down at the pool of water beneath her. "Your waters just broke!"
"I need to get to the hospital," Aria said breathing heavily as she clutched her stomach, she tried to walk forward but almost tripped, Ezra held her upright.
"Here I'll drive you, my car is just down here," He said, helping her to his car, he helped her into the back seat and quickly slid into the front and began to drive.
Once they made it to the hospital he went to the reception desk and explained Aria's situation, they immediately found her a private room available and quickly got her changed. Ezra stayed by her side the whole time as the contractions were getting more and more frequent.
"Wow," Summer said as she listened to her mother's story. "So he was there with you when I was born? I basically met him?!"
Aria nodded and laughed at Summer's enthusiasm, "I haven't finished the story yet sweetie."
Summer quietened down and began to listen to her mother's story again.
January 1st 2020
After a good 6 hours of pain and struggle, Aria had finally given birth to her baby girl. She looked over at Ezra who looked equally exhausted, the two were left alone as the nurses went off to clean the baby up. "Thank you for staying, you didn't have to you know?"
"I know, but I wanted to and I'm glad I did. I talked to your friends and they said they'll visit you tomorrow morning as soon as they can. Alison said she'll try to get hold of Jason for you."
Aria nodded and her eyes began to shut gently, she reopened them but struggled to keep focus on Ezra. He stroked her face gently, "Hey you must be exhausted, why don't you get some rest?" He suggested as he placed a soft kiss on her forehead.
"Mm, will you still be here when I wake up?" Aria asked weakly, Ezra nodded before Aria gently fell asleep.
When she awoke a couple of hours later she looked at the chair beside her and noted it was empty and she began to assume he had left. She sighed and a tear rolled down her cheek, she should've known. Aria stood up and walked over to her baby who was sleeping peacefully in her crib. She smiled and sat down on the chair beside it. She gently picked her up and rocked her back and forth. Her baby slowly opened her eyes and Aria smiled, more tears spilling from her eyes.
"Hey," Ezra said softly as he walked in carrying some drinks.
"Hi," Aria replied as she looked up at him, he placed the bottle of water down on Aria's bedside table and made his way over to Aria.
"She has your eyes," He commented, as he looked from Aria to her child.
"She's beautiful, thank you Ezra for helping me through this."
"It's my pleasure. I really have to get going now, your friends will be here any minute and I don't want to cause any problems," Ezra explained, before Aria could argue he pressed a kiss to her temple and was out the room. Sure enough a few minutes later she heard a knock on the door and looked up to see Jason, Alison and Emily.
"So he just left?!" Summer asked, a little too angrily.
"He did. But I can see why he did it, he was right. Your father wouldn't have been happy if he saw Ezra there and it would've caused problems," Aria explained to her daughter as she wrapped an arm around her and hugged her tightly.
"I'm sorry mommy," Summer said sadly as she hugged Aria back.
"What for?"
"I'm sorry that it never worked out between you and Ezra, I wish it could've.."
"If it had then I wouldn't have had you now would I? And I wouldn't want to live in a world without you."
Summer smiled up at her mom with teary eyes, "So what was this really exciting news you had to tell me?"
"Well, Ezra actually um, well he wrote a book about him- and me, and well our relationship.. And you met James, Noel's boyfriend, last night, he published Ezra's book. And I wrote a book about me and my story of our relationship and James wants me to send it over to him and he may publish it.." Aria explained nervously, Summer was silent at first as she took in the information her mother had told her before letting out a squeal and hugging her mother tightly.
"Mom, you have to send it. Now!" Summer ordered as she laughed.
"I will, I will. But also, I want you to read it, you're heavily featured in it and well- I only want to send it if you like it. Will you read it?"
"I would love to."
