Between Borders

Naraku smiled as he saw Sesshomaru leaving the human girl to pursue him through Kanna's mirror. He thought it was great to lure him in by using a horde of demons. In fact, Sesshomaru probably already know that this is a lure, but his pride always did get the better of him. He heard running footsteps come close to his room. The door quickly slid opened.

Kagura was at the entrance breathing hard, "Sesshomaru is coming."

Naraku already knew, but the sorceress seemed frantic. Kagura hated being caught by surprise and Sesshomaru unexpected presence was a surprise either pleasant or not. He was very aware of Kagura's feelings towards the dog demon. It was what he used to try to lure the dog demon to his side. Kagura was more than willing to oblige this order. He was hoping the close intimacy between the two would be in his favor, but it was not. Sesshomaru in the end cut all ties with her. This was one of the mystery he had yet to uncover. Kagura did her upmost best to gained his favor, so what happened? After that Kagura went into a rage and killed any second rate demon that had crossed her path. That was about 20 years ago, she had calmed down since then, though she do quietly seethe now and again. Naraku really do not care about her emotions and actions as long as it does not affect his plans.

"I am well aware."

Kagura then noticed the scene in Kanna's mirror. She narrowed her eyes, "You're luring him here," it was more of a statement then a question.

Naraku had very little tolerance of Kagura's emotional behavior around Sesshomaru, "Yes, greet him will you Kagura."

Kagura gave him a steeling look before leaving. He could care less on what Kagura thinks. Her obedience was all that was required.

The demons that surrounded Naraku's castle parted as Sesshomaru landed. Sesshomaru could care less about these weaklings, if they interfered he would kill them. He stopped at the front gate, Kagura was there to meet him.

Kagura was silent, not her usual greeting to him, "Naraku is expecting you."

She turned heels towards the gate and Sesshomaru followed. The dog demon notice the poisonous miasma was a lot stronger than usual. Was it a deterrent? Or is he planning his final phase? Either way Sesshomaru will let Naraku know that he will not be made a fool. Kagura stepped in front of a door and stood aside. She slowly slid it opened. Sesshomaru entered without hesitation. The door slid closed behind him. It was only him and Naraku now.

"Sesshomaru, such a pleasure to see you again."

Sesshomaru expression remain unchanged, but he had come to really hate the sound of the pitiful demon's voice, "You have been foolish Naraku."

Naraku smiled, "Oh really, and what makes you say that?"

"You're demons are entering lands they are not permitted to enter."

This time Naraku laughed, "Oh, but the lords gave me full access to them."

Sesshomaru glared, "I have not. My land is not to be meddle with."

"You were always so serious. My demons are flying above your land. I assure you they are not wreaking havoc to it and beside the human wall weak point is at the borders of your land."

"You must take me for a fool. You could easily over power any part of the wall, yet you chose the one at my border. Tell me Naraku, do you wish to go to war with me?"

Naraku now had a gleamed in his eyes. He was planning something, "Tell me Sesshomaru are you truly worry about the activities my demons are doing on your land or is your concern truly about that human girl you keep with you?"

It was only a split second, but Naraku caught it. Sesshomaru had a momentary shocked expression before it quickly went to anger, "You dare believe that I would have such a weakness."

"Come now Sesshomaru there is no need to play pretend here. It is only the two of us. There is no shame to admit your carnal desire. For a human she is quiet lovely."

Naraku knew now he hit the core. Sesshomaru quickly drew his sword, his swing emitted a powerful blow as he destroyed Naraku's body. That was to be expected of Sesshomaru's famous sword the Bakusaiga. Unfortunately for him he only killed a puppet, but Sesshomaru already figured that much out. Naraku could use this against him. He was already leaving in a swirling mass of miasma.

"Sesshomaru I wonder what would happen if you leave that young girl defenseless?"

Sesshomaru growled as he saw Naraku vanished with his horde of demons. He was also very angry with himself for his own behavior. Not once had he exposed himself like that. He was always in control, yet at the mention of Rin just brought a side of him that wanted to kill. Naraku is challenging him; he was going to showed him the true nature of his power. No one makes a mockery of him.

Sesshomaru walked back to where he left Rin. Night has already fallen though with his eyes he could see just fine. He smell the burning of logs not far from him. As he got closer he saw the glow of the fire Rin had produce. As he made it to the fire he noticed Rin wasn't in sight. This frustrated him. Damn that foolish girl for not obeying him. He surveyed the area and saw her kimono resting on top of a boulder that was away from the river. He quickly understood where she went. A small splash brought his attention to the river. She slowly emerged from the bottom which was the reason he could not detect her scent. He could only see her back which was facing him. He growled when he felt that same desire erupted from him again. This time however he did not bother to hide his presence. He will have to teach her to be more aware of her surroundings.

Rin face was shocked as she quickly turned to him at the sound of his growled. She quickly wrapped her arms around her breasts, though Sesshomaru already caught a glimpsed of it which did not help him to reign in his desire. She quickly submerged herself, only her head was above water.

"Ses-Sesshomaru I didn't hear you come."

To say Rin was mortified would have been an understatement. She couldn't believe he saw her. Nobody had ever see her in such a state, yet for some reason she was more embarrassed on how her body look to him then him actually watching her. His expression was more annoyance then embarrass, which shouldn't surprise her. He wasn't like any boy in her village, he was far older and more in control.

"There is danger all around Rin. You should do well to remain focus, even in a situation… like this," His eye slowly trailed down, before he walked away and rested on a tree nearby. His eyes became closed.

Rin sighed, of course he would lectured her even in her current state. Though what bothered her was that she didn't get an interest from him when he saw her. Why was she disappointed about that? She slowly got out from the river, though she first look at him to see if he was watching. His eyes remain closed. She wasn't sure if it was because he was actually resting or that he was giving her the curtesy to dress herself without being watch. Rin quickly dressed herself, she couldn't look at him without blushing so instead she stared at the fire. As she finished she noticed a shadow looming over her. She looked behind her and nearly fell backwards as she saw Sesshomaru just inches away from her. His quick reflex caught her by the wrist. His eyes didn't hold the familiar superiority that it usually does. His eyes were calm, almost smoldering. She blushed at the thought. Warmth was spreading through her body.

"Being with you is proving to be annoying."

The warmth quickly dissipated. She had to look away from his eyes. Ashamed at her momentary body reaction to his closeness. Of course he wouldn't see her as none other than an annoyance. However, her momentary weakness with him now made her agitated and before she could stopped herself she spoke.

"Then why do you keep me around? If I'm such a bother to you then why try to bother with me? Is it because of Inuyasha? From what I see you do not care about what he thinks." Usually Rin would never let out such an outburst, it wasn't in her nature. She have felt like an annoyance all her life, she blamed herself for her mother's death; For Jiro getting disowned. Those were her fault and she couldn't stand hearing him announce that, because she knew them to be true.

Sesshomaru grip on her wrist didn't lessen and his expression did not change, "You are an annoyance because my body desire what I have despise all my life."

His confession shocked her. That was not what was expected. He shocked her again when his free hand touch her cheek so gently as his other hand let go of her wrist and went around her waist. She could hear her own heartbeat as she slowly saw him coming closer to her. She always wondered how her first kiss would be; arms wrapped around her lover as he kiss her with passion but still be gentle. She didn't expect this, his lips were warm surprisingly as he act anything but. His hold onto her were firmed. She knew that if she wanted to she couldn't get out of his grip. Though she admitted that she didn't want to. It didn't take her long to respond to the kiss. Her hands trailed up his chest. She felt the coolness of his armor and the softness of his fur at the same time. Her hands slowly reached up his neck, which earned her a growled. Though this growled wasn't like any other. It was more pleasurable which made her bold. She deepened their kiss and wrapped her arms around his neck.

Sesshomaru didn't know what came over him. His body reacted before his mind could take over. He admits however that he did not have regrets in that moment. He quiet enjoy her gentleness as she slowly trailed up his chest. He couldn't quiet control his pleasure growl as she touched his neck. He had many experiences with females, but nothing quite like this. His other encounters were more animal instincts. He didn't care how rough he was as long as he got the job done and the females all seem to like it that way. With Rin it was gentle he wanted to be gentle, wanted her to feel pleasure. The kiss broke sooner then he would've like, but unlike him Rin did needed to take a breather a lot more often. Her breathe was ragged as her cheeks flush. His desire flared at the sight of it. Her eyes told him what he was feeling. Both however did not speak as they fear it would break what was between them now.

Sesshomaru went for her neck and kissed it, her moan excited him and she moved her head aside to give him more access. Sesshomaru didn't let it go to waste as his tongue slowly trialed up and down her neck. Her hold on him tighten as she let out a loud moan. Her noise and her scent was diving him insane. He couldn't take it no more. That night was a new experience for them both. Sesshomaru had never been gentle in these type of acts and it was a first time Rin allowed a man to touch her the way he did. That night change everything for them.

The first thing Rin felt as she slowly gain conscious was the softness of skin against hers. It felt warm to the touch. Her eyes slowly opened and she realized another body was next to her, one of his arms were wrapped around her waist. Memories of last night flooded her mind and she couldn't help but blushed. She never thought she would do anything like that with someone like him. She was even more shocked of how a gentle lover he was, considering it was her first time she was extremely grateful. She took a moment to study him. He was always so intense when he was conscious she never fully looked at him before. She admitted she like what she saw, no human will ever have a body like his. She looked at his face and saw how calm he looked, it gave him a sort of vulnerable that would not appear if he was awake. She slowly traced his demon marks on his face. Her fingers slowly grazed the strips on his cheek. She always wondered how they felt and was surprise to see they were actually part of his skin and not something foreign. His skin was not rough and callous like the men she knew back at the village. Her hands stopped short next to his eyes as she saw him slowly opened his lids. She quickly retracted her hand.

"Sorry didn't mean to wake you."

His expression was soft and he stared into her eyes, "You didn't."

It took only moments to realize what he meant. He was up the whole time she was touching his face! She quickly became aware that she was very exposed in front of him. Sesshomaru noticed her embarrassment and slowly released her. Rin quickly looked away as he stood up to dress. Last night she wasn't thinking about being expose in front of him, but right now it was all she thought about.

"Get ready. We'll be leaving soon," Rin thoughts were broken when she heard him. She wondered how he could act like nothing happen.

Sesshomaru never felt such ease when he wake up. He hardly ever sleep fully as his body is naturally on alert, but somehow with this weak human he had no business of caring for he was very relaxed. He was irritated by this as he was not use to letting his guard down. He was even more angry that he let his body controlled his mind last night. He admits however that he was very pleased that he was her first in everything, his alpha side rejoiced in that. His scent was all over her, any demon with a nose could detect what they did. He looked at Rin when she was done putting on her kimono. She was purposely avoiding his gaze, though he saw a light flush on her cheeks. She seemed shelf conscious now, but before he could comment on that the scent of wolves caught his attention, they weren't far off, just about a half a day walk. Flying would cut that time in half, but that wouldn't be such a good idea as his body still feel on fire when he thinks of last night.

"Ah, where are we going?" She hesitantly asked as she saw him retreating into the forest.

"The wolves are close by. They can give me information that I require," He answered as he continued to walk. If he looked back he would have noticed the look of sadness in her eyes.

Hiii again. Another chapter done. I really believe now I can finish this in the time I have set up. Anyways I wanted to thank my full 2 reviews Yulia and Guest (sorry I couldn't give you a proper name, but I really appreciate your review!) So finally Sesshomaru and Rin are more or less together, but it will not be easy. Rin is confuse on her feelings and Sesshomaru is trying to deny his. Anyway I may slow up on my updates a bit, hopefully this will get me more review I don't know if it'll work, but hey it worth a shot. Also the climax part is about to start and I wanted to have more time with the next few chapters.
