(Day 6)
They had come back from a party one of his family members had thrown, Naomi asleep through the car ride home. He took glances at her when he could as her hair covered half of her face. He thought to what his cousin had said,
"When are you going to tell her?" Tamina asked.
"Tell her what?" he responded taking a sip of his drink.
"Jimmy Jonathan Uso," she hissed, her tone leaving no room for his nonsense.
"How about right now, huh? I'll just walk up to her and let her know that I'm a werewolf, like in Twilight, and she'll jump in my arms," he responded sarcastically.
Tamina sighed, "Jimmy you can't keep this from her, you could lose her when it comes out. Are you waiting for a full moon for you to transform before you tell her?"
The curly hair woman noticed the way his eyes darted to Naomi, watching her and Jey argue over whether or not Jon B was better than Robin Thicke. The dark haired woman saw his eye and gave him a smile before returning to the argument.
His eyes said it all, he didn't want to lose her, he couldn't lose her, "You can't say you love someone if you're hiding yourself from them," she said walking away from him.
The sound of a horn honking behind him, made him realize the light had turn green, so deep in his thoughts he barely noticed the driver in the car behind him flipping him off once it passed him.
He had wanted to tell Naomi so many times, but each time fear gripped him, that voice telling him he would lose her, she would hate him, she would fear him, and she would think he was a monster.
As he stopped the car, placing it in park, he watched the sleeping woman. He moved her hair out of her face; could he really share that part of himself without losing her?
Naomi stirred from her sleep seeing that Jimmy was awake staring at her. He looked better than the day before, but still a long way from himself. She knew that look in his eyes, he was thinking.
"Baby," she said and Jimmy was startled out of his thoughts. When had she woken up?
Naomi watched him flinch slightly when she raised her hand to his cheek, "What's on your mind?"
"How did you sleep?" he asked changing the subject and saw his fiancée sigh.
"Jimmy, I need you to be open and honest with me. What were you thinking about?"
"I should check on Jey," and with that he disappeared from the room.
Naomi didn't know how to feel, but she felt, once again, miles away from Jimmy when he was physically near her.
She showered and changed into some clothes of Jimmy. She hadn't really seen much of Cameron in the few days, only when she was by Jey's bedside. She made her way to the woman's room, knocking before receiving entrance.
"Hey," Naomi said seeing that the woman was in the same shape as Jimmy.
(Jey & Jimmy)
The two brothers stared at one another, the older assessing the younger, the younger simply shaking his head.
"Don't look at me like that Uce."
"Look at you like what?"
"Like you're the reason this happened," the younger replied trying not to wince at the pain that shot through him as he took a deep breath. Jimmy saw him tense and heard the painful hiss.
"Look at you! Look at your skin. Jey, you could…" he wasn't going to finish that sentence so Jey did it for him.
"Die?"
Jimmy looked at him lost and scared, but Jey continued, "You and I both know had it been Cameron, I would have done the same thing and you would have went with me, no questions ask."
"I'm the oldest; I'm supposed to protect you."
"No, we are twins. We are supposed to protect each other. Stop acting like those nine minutes apart are nine years a part."
