Due to some confusion about Percy's pets Zeus and Hades I have decided to name them Zeus Jr and Hades Jr.
-Peter (PerseusJFAN1016) - I will soon stop with the PerseusJFAN1016 and just end it off with Peter.
POV: Percy
Olympus was at a current state of uproar. It was almost impossible for me to hear myself think. This is going to far, I thought and glaced at my father. I nodded at him and he looked at me confused but he grinned as he noticed what I was doing. Dark shadows were now swirling around the room. The room was now pitch black and the gods silenced.
"Percy, what are you doing?" I turned to daddy and gave him a quick smile
"All of you! Right now I know it is a big shock but we must work together. They are trying to catch us seperated. Don't you gods see? They are using your pride and envy to destroy yourself." I was glaring heavily at all of the gods present, my father included. " I met Kronos, so what? He is just a big scardy cat." I knew I was taking a risky chance but I needed to try.
"Percy, Kronos is not a scardy cat. He was the one to lead his troops into battle, he isn't afraid to take bold risks. He doesn't care for human life on earth. Mortals are useless to him. This is where he is strong. He doesn't needed to worry about destroying human life on earth, while we need tp protect the humans on orders of the fates." Daddy steped up.
I sighed.
" I know, dad. But right now the only thing that is important is gaining confidence. If we believe that we are going to lose and don't even try to win then we will never get anywhere." I explained and Athena's eyes sparked for some reason.
"Perseus, is right." I started at Athena in shock.
" Yes, I must agreed with Perseus. What we should do right now is get ready for war. I will ready my huntressess." My mouth dropped open. I swear it was almost hitting the floor right now. Artemis the man hating goddess was stand up for me as well as Poseidon's enemy, Athena. Could this day get anymore weird? First Kronos has to come then suddenly the maiden goddesses are sticking up for me.
I mean that is just weird. Too weird. Strange it almost seem as if the goddess were in some sort of trance like state. My eyes narrowed, there was nothing I could do cause I wasn't sure but I now knew to keep my eyes open for Artemis and Athena. I tried to show daddy that I had suspicions but I don't think that he got the message. It didn't seem like he got it because I didn't see him nod off to me to show me he did notice. I guess I just needed to tell him later. The gods after Artemis and Athena spoke up started to work together and devised plans on how to fight against Kronos. I was happy for once I suppose. My father and mother were included in the decisions made. They finally got the respect that they deserved. I also found myself engaged in the plans and battle strategies.
After the meeting I walked into the shadows to return home but felt a grip on my arm.
"Percy, I want you to know how thankful I am about you saving me." I stiffened but forced myself to relax not wanting to cause a fight.
"Your welcome, Lord Poseidon." Poseidon flinched and retrieved his arm. I hurried into the shadows after that worried that he would get another idea and stop me from returning home.
POV: Kronos
Ha, those fool of gods. They actually believed that Oceanus was Poseidon. This was beautiful, with Oceanus in place of Poseidon I would bring down the gods once and for all.
"Lord Kronos..." I turned and a demi-god was deeply bowing, as he should.
"WHAT?! can't you see I am in a good mood? Don't ruin it for me." I said as I made a swinging motion with my scythe and he scurried away. Great, my good mood was ruined. Now, all I needed to do was to make sure that the son of Hades wouldn't find out my plan. The goddesses Athena and Artemis would surely draw his attention away from Poseidon.
" You will never get away with this." Poseidon said from his current placement cell.
" You gods need a threat book. I will happily provide you with one if you need." I joked. Yeah, the King of the Titans jokes.
" Shut up, father." Poseidon snapped and I was tempted to throw him into Tartarus.
"So, you admit that I am your father." I teased and Poseidon's face scrunched up in disgust and he turned away.
"No, I am not related to you." He said, obviously in denial.
" Well, let me tell you something." I started " Your own son Perseus, hates you. I mean really hates you." I chuckled and Poseidon's expression darkened but he hung his head in shame. "You know from what I heard from the others, is that most of your children seem to have closer bond with you then the other gods and their offspring."
"Well, then you are seriously mistaken, then."
"I can see that." I smirked "Well, now we will just need Oceanus to get Perseus to trust him. Then we can finalise my brillant plan." I did the evil laugh and Poseidon dipped his head. "So, I ask you again. Will you join me and defeat the gods once and for all? If you do then you will recieve eternal glory and you will be forgiven for supporting the gods in the first war." I offered the same thing for what seemed like the millionth time today.
"I will never join you!" Poseidon had the courage to even attempt to spit in my face. I was outraged.
" Then you will be thrown into Tartartus!" I yelled and summond guards to open the doors and I shoved Poseidon in myself. "Goodbye son, we could have done great things together but now you will pay the price." I smirked and Poseidon fell into the depts. "Lets see how you survive down there."
POV: Hades
I was overjoyed at the feeling of having my son back from the quest. I knew that it was strange that Kronos would just give my brother back but hey, if it got my two sons back then I am not complaning.
I was enjoying rolling around in the many jewels of the earth when I felt a powerful presense enter Tartarus. I didn't know what it was but it got my attention and I stopped rolling around.
"Percy!" I yelled
"Dad?" I heard him reply and I ran out of my room.
"Percy, I felt someone enter Tartarus. I need you to investigate."
"Sure, but dad are you okay? I mean you are looking paler then usual."
"I am fine, just investigate please." I snapped and returned to the jewels.
POV: Percy
I was worried about my dad but I headed to Tartarus.
"Percy." What now? I turned and it was Poseidon. "Percy. I am glad that I found you in time. Tartarus is being guarded by a mutitude of monsters and they are under the command of Kronos. Many monsters are also exiting at an increasingly amount by the minute. It is to dangerous for one person to go there alone." He gasped and tugged my arm. I was almost at the entrance to Tartarus. Sure enough there was many monsters at the entrance. I slipped away before any could see and Poseidon followed.
"Thank you for warning me." I said grudgingly. Poseidon just nodded. I suppose he isn't as bad as I thought, but that still didn't give me a reason to trust him. I turned my back on Poseidon and headed back to my father's palace.
"Wait, Percy." Poseidon grabbed my arm and I shrugged it out of his grip. I rose one eyebrow and he continued. "I am trutly sorry for what I did when you were younger. The reason I didn't show up to meet you was because I had my duties and believe me I really wanted to meet you but I couldn't. Zeus stopped me everytime with a meeting and then Hades never would let me get close."
"No offense, Lord Poseidon but it is fine, really. I couldn't care less right now." I made to turn around again.
"Wait, but under the circumstances we need to be able to trust one another. After all we will be fighting side by side in the final battle."
"Fine, then if you really want to do this then I suppsoe we could meet under the watchful eye of my father." I offered and he smiled and waved goodbye to me. What was I doing? I just forgave the man I said I was going to hate for the rest of my life. oh, gods, what had I done?
"Percy, what did you find in Tartarus?" Daddy was waiting at the entrance of his palace.
"Nothing, daddy. The place was heavily guarded so I was unable to observe much." I responded gravly.
"Percy, please don't tell me you are lying just so that you didn't have to go all that way." I rolled my eyes and responded
"No, daddy. I am not that lazy, I really did go all the way to Tartarus and I found the monsters but I didn't engage in combat only due the overwhelming numbers."
"Oh okay, good."
"Yeah, anyways I wouldn't want to come in between you and the many jewels in the earth." Daddy blushed deeply but quickly turned around to hide his face. I chuckled darkly before walking towards my room. "Nico!" Nico turned around from his position on the edge of my bed.
"Hey Percy, I was looking for you."
"I can see that. Why were you in my room?" I mean nobody went in my room unless there was an emergency. Everyone knew better than to go into my room. Especially my good old brother Nico, he unfortunately learnt the hard way... lets just say he still has the scar from the burn he received.
"Aw, Percy can't a brother want to check up on his brother?" I shook my head in disbelief.
"Nico, you know you can just call me. Breaking into my bedroom is not the way to do that anyways. I thought that you learnt your lesson from last time." I gestured to his arm.
"Fine, fine, you are right. Percy I need a favor."
"Okay, shoot."
"Wait, I need you to promise not to tell anyone."
"Fine, I promise. Now speak."
" Percy, I think that Clarisse is innocent."
"You think that she didn't steal the bolt?" I was confused
" I think that she stole it but think about what she told you before she left. She told you about how her dad was always pressuring her to do better."
"So you are blaming it on her dad?"
"No, yes, I mean no. Just forget it okay." He shook his head.
"Okay?" I still didn't understand what he was trying to get to. "If that is what you wanted to tell me then what is the favor you needed?"
"Oh, yeah about the favor. I need some money, as in mortal and godly money."
"Why?"
"I... can't exactly give you a reason."
"Nico!" I nearly yelled and looked towards the door in case daddy was going to show up at anytime.
"Percy, please just believe me. This is really important but I can't tell you because you wouldn't understand." He pleaded
"Nico, just tell me. It is not like it is going to hurt you to. I can help." I was dead set on finding out what he was trying to hide.
"No, Percy I don't think you cna help. It is more of a personal things that I need to do, by myself." I shrugged, I suppose it was worth a try. But of course since Nico wasn't as good with the shadows, so I could follow him without being found. But I really didn't want to invade his privacy... no, I needed to know what was going on and now.
"Okay, then" I handed him a chandful of drachmas and about a few hundren mortal dollars, in twenties. Nico, left with one last glance in my room and I sprung to my feet. I shadow travelled and stayed in the shadows as I followed Nico. He headed towards a shop that was labeled "Death Awaits". My eyebrows rose in surprise but I followed him in. The store was pitch black inside but I could see because, son of Hades here! I hid myself behind a large wooden statue of some old dead guy and I waited for Nico, to emerge. At the back of the store I could hear some movement. I stiffened as the noise got louder and I was able to hear the discussion.
"I need to get this, no don't touch it. It could possible hurt you but I need to now."
"But sir, that is a priceless object. My own family made it centuries ago, I don't want to part with it."
"Well you see, I have a certain family memeber that is in need of this and I think it would really benefit him." I could hear the fustration in the voice but I could identify the voice as my brother.
"No, and if you come back i will call the police."
"I don't think the police could help with the situation you will find youself if you don't give the me object now." I could hear the drawing of a weapon and I hurried to get out. What on earth was Nico doing in a store like that? I quickly shadow travelled to my room before the people could come out.
"So you here following m?" Nico was sitting on my bed.
"What the?" I questioned as he started laughing
" Percy, you didn't actually think I couldn't feel you stalking me."
"Damn, you are getting better little brother. Remind me not to underestimate you again." I chuckled
"So, I got what I wanted and you can have the change." He offered me a few dollars.
"Nah, keep it. Think of it as a prize for fooling me." I put my arm arounf his shoulder.
"Cool, thanks"
That night I found myself wondering about everything. I was quesitoning Poseidon again. Did he truly want to stay with me? After all those years of not paying much attention why now? I mean he had tons of time to make things right with me. I refused to believe that war was the answer to that question.
