CHAPTER 10
Silence hung between the girls.
"I-I'm sorry!" Haruhi began apologizing, "I shouldn't have asked."
Kimiko placed her hand on her friend's shoulder, "It's fine. I trust you, so I'll indulge."
She took a sip of her tea, then began her story.
A petite girl of 7 years sat on plush leather seats. She leaned forward, looking at the on coming scenery.
"Kimiko, amai mono, sit back please," gently asked a light feminine voice asked gently.
"Fine Haha-ue. How much longer? I want to show Hal-abeoji and Hal-moni Kisa-chan!" The small child turned to watch her newly-born baby sister. "I'm an Unnie!" She inwardly squealed.
"Soon Kiko, soon." Her father replied.
Kimiko leaned back in her seat, playing with one of the sleeping baby's hands.
Not five minutes later she had begun to slink forward, only to be shoved backwards.
"Kuso. Kimiko get down!" Frantically, Akemi covered her children as best as she could from her position.
She was going to look back on the road when she felt the car skid.
"Help your sister!" Kimiko's mother shouted as she turned to help her husband.
Kimiko nodded and unbuckled her seatbelt. She maneuvered herself on top of her sister's car-seat. She smiled down at Kisa, who had just awakened from the jerky movements.
Thought the vehicle moved side to side, Kimiko kept her grasp strong.
"Everyone hold on!" Hyun-su cried out.
A loud noise was heard in the passengers ears, as well as a cracking.
Suddenly, Kimiko's face turned into a grimace. Pain shot through her as if she was being sliced open with a blade. She felt a sticky substance pool over her shoulder and down her backside.
She held in her cry, lifting a white-handed knuckle to sooth her wailing sister.
Kimiko, however, was losing conscious, and fast.
She positioned herself so she wouldn't fall atop Kisa, causing the glass in her back to shift and tear away more skin.
"Mianhae.." Kimiko whispered as her vision faded to darkness
