AN: Two in a row huh? Can you handle? :L I'm so sorry I abandoned this for a while, but hopefully I can finish this off soon. Life you know, it's a bitch and gets in the way.
Jack re-read the letter several times as smells of pork and fruit other gorgeous things filled the house. The niggle was still there…but Bootstrap's words had no doubt brought a curve of joy to his lips.
"He's a good man." He said softly folding the letter back up.
Will hummed. "We'll see."
Jack's eyes moved to the back of Will's head as he cooked the meat over the fire stove, no doubt provided to him by Elizabeth. He stood and moved, a little slower than usual, to stand behind the man arms slipping under Will's and wrapping them around his waist. Thanks to the bump, he wasn't allowed to press his body right up against Will but he pressed kissed all the way down the side of his neck.
"If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be stood here right now, he sacrificed himself for me countless times…"
Will slumped a little in his arms and he held his hands to his stomach. "I know…it's just hard, to shake the resentment. I spent so long without him."
"He's trying Will. Give him a chance."
"You're feeling charitable today." He pointed out turning his face to kiss him soft, deep and loving.
"Yeah…it looks like we need all the help we can get, besides I've said since day one, good man."
There was a brief pause where they simply warmed by the fire and swayed, the only real sounds were the crackling of the fire, the tinkling of Jack's hair and the faint sounds of life outside.
"I love you." Will murmured.
"You better."
Will laughed.
"If you weren't carrying my baby I'd hit you."
"How abusive…"
Will pouted. "I'm not…."
Jack rolled his eyes. "So uptight. Do we need to work that outta you love?" his tine dropped to a low seductive whisper.
"You're relentless."
"Don't pretend you don't enjoy it."
-X-
Will and Jack had a full week together before Bootstrap had turned up. They spent it cooking and midnight roaming and making love. Sometimes just laying together and staring, Jack depending on his mood both blushing and getting shy or his eyes intensifying until the point where Will had to slither down his body and take his cock in his mouth and suck until his throat was raw.
It was lucky then that the elder Turner had caught them while they were both dressed. As soon as there was a knock on the door Jack tensed. He never moved in gaze or body as Will bent down to kiss his forehead reassuringly.
Last time Bootstrap Bill had seen him he had been in his prime. And now he was pregnant, vulnerable looking and had several red marks left by his son. He looked owned, he looked submissive.
Will cracked the door open and when his eyes met his father's he had to pause for a second and take him in. Then, snapped out of it by the yell of carriage driver he ushered his father inside quickly, bolting the door behind them.
Jack stayed quiet as Will and his father just stared at each other.
"Oh bloody hell just hug him." Jack barked finally to the elder Turner. He laughed at the pirate's boldness and held out his arms for Will who blinked and allowed himself to be pulled in. They just stayed there for a while, confused but with a sigh of relief, Will didn't know exactly how tense he was until it was halved and he felt like he was floating.
"Okay…people will talk you can stop mauling each other now." Jack butted in again. Both Turners laughed identically and pulled apart.
"It's good to see ye son." Bootstrap grumbled clapping the Will on his shoulder and as Jack stood his eyes widened remarkably like his sons.
"If you look at me like that one more time safe to say William won't be the only one who has taken something of mine up his…"
"Jack." Will admonished. The Sparrow grumbled and Bootstrap's eyes stayed firmly on the tanned man's face.
"Well…you're glowing."
"I could still destroy you, make no mistake." The dark tone in his voice had Will struggling to keep his composure, sexy wasn't a strong enough word.
"I would never make that mistake. I may have been naive but not completely idiotic." Bill answered hands held up in surrender. After a beat of silence Jack grinned and the man grinned back.
Bill made his way toward the dreadlocked man and held his arms out. "Can I hug you…?"
"That's brave, then again always appreciated bravery." He murmured as he let Bill take him in a hug too. Not too long though, he was soon pushing him away and demanding.
"Oookay, down to this business." He gestured in quick circles to his stomach. "Let me sit down before I collapse and we can get down to what the hell you can do to save any harm coming to my undeniably extraordinary offspring."
"Our…" Will interjected as Jack settled back into the seat.
"Please William, we know all the beauty and genius will derive from myself." He winked jokingly, Will rolled his eyes playfully and Bill joined them at the table.
"I have been informed by your father Jack, of the curse, the need for love to be repaid on Will's part, but as you have probably have worked out this doesn't need to be one of your children."
"No…it can be anyone with the mark I'm wagering. But this leaves me, William and Elizabeth in the firing line. And neither of the latter can be spared."
"The former may not be spared either." Will cut in sharply.
"William…"
"He's right Jack." Jack whipped his head back round with a jangle. "But so are you…the sacrifice must have the mark..." and the Turner held out his palm to reveal a long thin line across it.
There was a moment of quiet realisation between the three of them.
"Father…"
"No." Jack said simply. "I have had too many Turner's kill themselves off too many time because of me you will not do this again."
"Jack…either it be me, or either way a child will lose a parent. Or a parent lose a child."
"I'll lose a parent." Will considered not looking up from the spot where his father's hand had been.
"You're not a child William…and you have survived with no father before now."
"Barley."
Bill shook his head and his resolve faltered a little. "It come down to this William…a father, a child, a mother or your love."
The three men sat in silence while Will had to decide which of his family to condemn.
"I can't lose my babies. I can't lose Jack. And my son needs his mother."
Jack's eyes fluttered shut and regardless of the other man in the room he rested his forehead on Will's shoulder. Will, whose eyes were clamped shut against the barrage of tears that threatened to drown him.
