District Six Train Rides: The Mechanical Prodigy and The Tenacious
"Be smarter than other people, just don't tell them so."

I slowly walked around the train, taking in my surroundings. I wasn't really surprised with all of the posh furniture, and the exotic food. Since my family was rich, I was able to have most of these things.
But what really impressed me was the gigantic silver computer with a black Apple logo on the back of it. It had a nice silvery gray keyboard with white buttons.
I touched the screen, wondering how this thing worked. The screen moved, and I almost felt like an excited child opening their gifts during Christmas.
The computer was touchscreen.
Even though I am experienced with all sorts of technology, I have never seen a large computer like this before.
That's when I realized I could email my family through this beautiful piece of machinery. I tried logging into my email account, but the website said: WEBSITE RESTRICTED!
I had no problem with that teeny-tiny-little-problem. I easily hacked into the computer by downloading a few things, and I was finally able to access my account. Before I could even type a few letters, the computer shut off. I tried turning on the computer, but it wouldn't turn on.
I could have easily taken apart the computer, but I did not want to get in trouble. So I just sat on a large red couch, groaning. God… I got so excited.
A few minutes later, the door opened, and I saw my partner stride into the room. He munched on a banana-nut muffin, and he ended up tossing it on the floor.
I glared at the muffin. It only had four bites on the surface.
"Jeez, somebody's angry today."
"No shiz, Sherlock." Henry snapped.
Even though he was being all bitchy to me, I still kept a pleasant smile on my face.
"Look, Mr. What's-His-Face, I will not tolerate the fact that you're being ungrateful. How can you just toss something delicious on the floor? There are tons of poor kids out there who are literally dying for this sweet treat."
"I don't really give a fuck, okay? I'm really pissed at the Capitol right now."
I kept silent. I knew why. Because he had to volunteer for his sister just like Katniss Everdeen from last year. He's probably gonna be a fan-favorite by the time we get to the Capitol.
Suddenly, Henry picked up the muffin, and he stuffed it in his mouth.
"Gross..."
"Like I said, I really don't give a fuck. We're destined to get sick, and die anyway. Right now, death is coming for us sooner or later."
I thought about his words for a minute. I don't mean to sound really cocky, but with his attitude right now, I'm going to outlive him in the Games.
"It doesn't take a majority to make a rebellion; it takes only a few determined leaders and a sound cause."

Location - Train Going to The Capitol (Bedroom)
I sat on my bed with a small tray of food next to me. I thought about what happened during the past two hours, ignoring the mouth-watering food. How I had to volunteer for my younger brother, Cooper. He's only twelve. He would never stand a chance in the Hunger Games. I also thought about last year's Games when the girl from Twelve volunteered in order to save her own sister. In the end, Katniss Everdeen was executed. Executed for stirring up a supposed 'rebellion'.
Like that will ever happen.
Obviously, I hate the Capitol. I wish I could I just blow up this train, and run all the way back to my house. But of course, there are silly imaginations or fantasies. And I wished I could do that. If I do that, I won't make it that far. Eventually, the hovercrafts will find me, and shoot me down.
I sank my teeth into a fresh blueberry muffin. Yep, a brand new muffin since Jasmin thought what I did was ratchet. Even though I hate the Capitol, I took advantage of the food here. Food is food. Like Jasmine said, millions of kids in Panem are starving here. I grabbed a bottle of water, and chugged it all the way down. Then I tossed the tray onto the floor, feeling very tired and lazy.
KNOCK! KNOCK!
"Come in!" I called out.
Jasmine came into the room, giving me a sheepish smile.
"What?" I demanded.
"We should be allies..." Jasmine said slowly.
"And why should we be allies?"
"Because we are district partners. And I've know for a fact that your very intelligent. You get A's on almost every test."
I immediately sat up, glaring at her. "Exactly how do you know this? I barely even know you."
She gave me another sheepish grin. She handed me one of those new high-tech handheld devices. The new TouchPad even had internet access, and the website she just recently looked at was PowerSchool. The website which contains all of my grades.
I quickly swiped the screen up and down. I still had straight A's in everything, but how did this girl get access to my grades?!
"Who the hell are you?"
"Yeah, about that... I'm a mechanic, and I'm a computer-whiz. I know everything about you. Your a junior in Cardinal McCarrick High School. Your parents are Serene Green, and John Green. Your grandmother, Henrietta Green, is currently in the hospital because of heart failure. Your grandfather was also a fighter in the rebell-"
"Enough! Your such a freaking stalker!"
"Your also skilled with a gun!" Jasmin smirked.
"How do you know?"
"Common sense. Since your grandpa was a fighter during the Dark Days, he must have taught you to shoot a gun. So we must become allies. With my intelligence and your combat experience, we would probably get very far into the Games. Deal?"
I thought about this for a second. "Deal."
