Chapter 18

So Im back… Im so sorry about the time in between these last few chapters, but man life is crazy. Since it has been a long time since I've last updated there are going to be more mistakes than usual, so just bare with me.

The drive back to Christian's place was filled with a heavy silence. Andie was fast asleep in the back of the car and Christian was leaving me to my thoughts. Just thinking about everything I had to do was going to drive me crazy, the only thing keeping me from losing myself was the strong hand that encase mine. What was i going to do? I had to find a place for my dad and us to live because we couldnt stay with Christian forever, im sure we've just about have stayed our welcome at this point. I need to make sure that i can start college in the fall so i can get my degree in time I-

"Ana, baby, talk to me." Christian said as we came up to his building. The sheer size of Escala still left me in awe.

"I'm sorry Christian, I just have a lot on my mind." I say as we pull into the parking garage.

He lifts our enlaced hands to his mouth and gently kisses the back of my hand.

"You know you can talk to me about anything. I dont want you to think you're alone in all of this."

Oh Christian, it certainly feels that way.

I glance up at him as we pull into one of his parking spots and smile gently. After getting Andie out of the back, some how managing not to wake him, we make our way to his penthouse. I quickly change Andie and get him changed for bed while Christian finishes up some business in his office.

"Im so sorry that all of this is happening Andie. One day while have a house of our own and you'll never have to worry about anything". I gently bounce him in my arms for a few minutes before lying him down for bed. After checking a few more things with him, I head to the living room so start on some homework.

About a hour goes by and im finished with my work so i decide to look at apartments close to school and Andie's daycare. Even with the money I have saved up, I'd have to work full time at the diner to even come close to being able to afford a place for the three of us.

"Looking to run away?" I jump and find Christian standing right behind me with a very displeased look on his face.

"No, but Andie and I can't live with you forever Christian. That's too much." I shut my computer and turn towards him. I can see some confusion on his face, did he think that we'd just move in here?

"There's enough room here, Ana. I really don't mind. You and Andie bring life to this dull place."

I cant help but roll my eyes as he says this knowing that feelings fade and he wont feel this way forever.

"Look Christian, I appreciate everything you have done for us, but I can't intrude on your life like that. We-"

Im interrupted by Christian grabbing me and throwing me over his shoulder. I let out a shreak and try to get down. Christian just holds me tighter and smacks my ass with just enough force to make me flinch.

"Now Ms. Steele, Im sure you know it is very rude to roll your eyes at someone."

"Christian what are you doing? Put me down!" he carries me to his bedroom and drops me on his oversized bed.

"Im going to teach you a lesson. After this youll think twice about rolling your sweet eyes at me."
