Over the next few weeks Charlie and Arabelle were more inseparable than ever, if it were possible. Word had spread quickly about their relationship and by breakfast next morning everyone knew about them. Arabelle suspected this was the reason Libby Sullivan, a Hufflepuff girl from their year had tried to trip her down the stairs on the way to the great hall.
Every quidditch practice Arabelle would stand in the cold winter winds to watch Charlie play, even if she would rather be lying around the common room in front of the fire, which she often reminded him. But thanks to Charlie she was now attending every care of magical creatures class, and her grade had slowly started to go up. She was in exchange helping Charlie in potions classes, often taking over his potion when Snape's back was turned. Everything was going right between them. None the less this didn't stop Arabelle from worry what everyone would say when they returned back to the Burrow for Christmas in a few weeks.
"What are you so worried about?" Charlie asked one evening at dinner. It was the week before they were due to catch the train back to London.
"I just don't know how they're going to react, won't they think it's weird?" she asked.
"No why would they? It's not like we act any differently now, and I doubt we're going to sit around making out in front of them all...well that is unless you want to, I don't mind" he laughed.
"Charlie" she cried "stop your so awful, but I guess your right. Molly did always go on at everyone about not calling me their sister"
"exactly so stop worrying. Come on" he said taking her hand and pulling her on to her feet "Bill and I have some more christmas presents we need you to wrap"
"Your not even joking are you" she cried rolling her eyes and letting him pull her out the hall.
The final week of term dragged by slowly and the amount of homework they'd been given for over the holidays was painful to think about. But eventually Saturday came and before they knew it they were pulling into kings cross station. The weasley family were never hard to spot even in a crowd as big as this.
"Oh blimey" Bill said throwing his head round into Charlie and Arabelle's compartment. "We've got a full house out there guys".
Before the train had even stopped Arabelle could see them all. Arthur was holding Ginny who was trying desperately to escape her father's grip and climb down. Molly was scanning the train looking for some sign of them while percy, the twins and Ron looked like they were in the middle of a heated argument, as usual.
Charlie turned to Arabelle and rolled his eyes. "I'm exhausted already" he sighed as the train came to a stop.
All three of them climbed off the train pulling their trunks with them. At the sight of Bill, Ginny finally managed to squeeze free and ran through the crowd towards them. Bill caught her running and hugged her tight before throwing her onto his back. "Hey monster I've missed you" he laughed.
"There you are!" Molly cried and pulled everyone into a hug. Arabelle felt like her ribs were about to be crushed but smiled, she hadn't realised how much she had missed them until now. When all the hellos had been done they made their way towards Diagon Alley to use the floo network back home. Ron ran up besides Arabelle and Charlie and whispered "did you remember the presents? I like your presents from school the best" smiling brightly up at them.
Arabelle laughed "don't worry Ron, Charlie has them all in his trunk"
"Wait what?" Charlie turned looking shocked "no I don't you were supposed to bring them"
"Charlie! I told you to pick them up"
"No you didn't otherwise I would have them"
They looked down at Ron who had tears spilling down his chubby cheeks.
"Aww don't worry Ron we were only playing we've got your presents really!" Arabelle giggled. But this only made Ron cry harder. She gave her trunk to Charlie to take and swept Ron up into her arms who was still sobbing into her Grey knit scarf.
"Charlie" she whispered so Ron wouldn't hear "you do have the presents really don't you?"
"Of course I do" he said as if insulted by the idea he'd forget them "at least...I think I do" he said under his breath.
They heard footsteps running up behind them "you know thanks to you two Fred owes me a weeks worth of sweets money" George said matter of factly matching his pace with Arabelle's.
"Yeah you two had better of gotten me a really good present to make up for this." Fred's voice came from the other side of Charlie.
Charlie laughed. "What are you two talking about, what have you been betting on this time?" He asked.
"We were betting that you two would get together this year" Fred replied.
"And I was right!" George cried running off.
"I'm expecting you two to re-emberse me you know" Fred cried running after George. "If you had waited until after Christmas I'd have won!"
Arabelle and Charlie looked at each other open mouthed.
"How did they..." Arabelle started.
"I have no idea" Charlie replied.
