For once there's someone to hold after a long day. She'd made up this herbal tea that tasted like feet. Sitting across from me at the kitchen bench she listens to me spout crap about work. Not interrupting. Nodding and squeezing my hand.

"I don't think I've ever had an after work chat," I smile.

"You can have a chat with me whenever you like," she says warmly.

"Can I?" I ask smiling, "come here."

She smiles back and walks to me. I widen my legs on my stool so she can stand between them. Happily I wrap my arms around her.

"So have you been telling Jye I'm your boyfriend?" I ask teasingly.

"Your sister," Bella sighs.

"Woah. Wait a minute. I never said I hated it," I hold her hips preventing her from moving too far from me.

"What do you mean?" She smiles.

"What do you think? Is that something you'd want?" I ask.

"Well it's something I wouldn't say no to," she teases.

"Just food for thought. I mean I'd ask in a romantic setting. After my day I just want a reason to smile. I've thought about you every second of every day. I just want to tell the world you're mine. I don't want anyone to have the chance to take you. I want more mornings like today and more evenings like tonight," I say.

I'd been sure of few things in my life. A relationship with her was what I was most sure of.

"What are you asking?" She says stroking my cheek.

"I guess I'm asking you to be my girlfriend," I say my smile growing wider.

She wraps her arms around my neck nodding.

"Only if I can see you again," she leans in to kiss me.

But I stop her with a finger to her lips.

"That's my line," I smile.

"Ours now," she shrugs pushing my finger away leaning into kiss me.

"You need socks," I sigh annoyed at Jye.

It's Halloween. This year I get to have adult fun, as opposed to holding Jye's hand around the complex while he knocks on doors begging for candy. This year he scored a sleepover with his friends. Which meant I get to wear something cute and attend Alice's party.

It had been the most incredible week. Edward truly was boyfriend material. Jye couldn't adore him more. Our friends were supportive and excited for us too. Alice cheered. Rosalie squealed. Since last week, him asking me to be his replayed in my head. Our relationship was moving slowly, but not too slow. We both knew where we stood. We both wanted the exact same things.

"Spider-Man doesn't wear socks," Jye snaps.

"It's too cold outside for you to go trick or treating without socks on under your shoes," I sigh trying to grab his kicking legs.

He lay back on his bed fighting me every twist and turn. He stops when I dish out the 'look.'

"You have rules tonight, Jye. What were they?" I ask smiling.

"Don't talk to strangers unless I'm with an adult. Don't eat heaps of candy," he says with a bored voice.

His friend's mother arrives to pick him up early. One he's gone I smile to my empty apartment.

"No more kid!" I laugh excitedly to myself.

I'd be meeting Edward at the party. With a childless apartment and a vow to make my boyfriend's jaw drop I began to turn myself into a pirate. A nod to the brother that I'd palmed off to Susan.

A white shirt tied under my chest, a black mini skirt and a plastic sword. I tie a bandana into my hair and pull on a pair on knee high boots.

Once ready for treasure hunting I head to my best friend's party. As soon as she sees me she throws her arms around me tightly. She'd gone for a bunny.

"I thought Halloween is scary?" I smirk.

"I eat farmer's crops. I terrify them," she shrugs, "besides pirates aren't that scray."

"They are! I even put fake blood on my shirt," I laugh.

Alice shoves me lightly before handing me a plate of food.

"Go put that on one of the tables outside. You're an on duty party pirate," she says, "Edwards our there too. So don't get distracted by your mission."

"Do I look okay?" I gasp.

"You look fine. He hasn't shut up about you since he got here. Emmett yelled at him ten minutes ago. Said if he mentions you once more he'd jab him in the knee. Rosalie is out there too. They had a fight about the wedding too. So rough seas ahead," Alice explains.

"Ouch. I spoke to her yesterday. Everything's perfect my end," I say.

"Rosalie's mother is psycho," Alice says.

"I know the feeling," I say.

"Woah! Pirate Bella is hot. No wonder why he won't shut up," Emmett booms into the room dressed as the joker.

"Emmett! You're already in the dog house," Alice warns.

"It's okay. I'll just steal her away and we can drown in the cake and wine I've ordered for her wedding together," I tease.

"Oh can I come?" Alice gasps.

"Okay. You're both cancelled," Emmett takes a piece of food from my plate.

"Hands off," Alice yells.

"I hope Edward has been behaving himself," Emmett says ignoring Alice taking another piece of cheese from my platter.

"She probably likes him better naughty," Alice snickers.

"Yuck," Emmett scrunches his nose, "is he getting on with Jye?"

"Yeah. Jasper has competition," I nod, "he's smitten."

"Edward's never been a kid person. It's sweet to hear he isn't completely cold," Emmett says grabbing a beer from the fridge.

"He's sweet. You should take notes," I smile.

"Please! I taught him everything he knows. The beach thing was my idea," he points at me.

"Emmett. Stop talking shit," Edward snaps entering the room holding an empty plate.

"Great. Two of them," Alice mutters.

"Where's your costume?" I demand.

"I'm wearing it?" He raises an eyebrow, arm out waving at his body.

I exchange a glance with Alice confused. He wore a pair of jeans and a grey shirt.

"Can you help?" I ask.

"He's suppose to be Edward," Alice nods.

"That's not scary," I narrow my eyes at him.

"It's terrifying," Emmett laughs loudly.

"You look incredible," Edward smiles leaning down to kiss me.

"Awwww," Emmett yells obnoxiously.

Edward pulls back flipping him off before placing his empty plate on the counter and taking mine. Brothers. They still behaved as if they were Jye's age.

"Is this for outside?" He asks me.

I nod.

"Stay here and chat with her more. I've got it," he smiles.

Emmett shoves Edwards arm as he heads back toward the glass door which leads out to the patio. Edward's balance doesn't even shift, the plate steady.

I smile watching them both leave the kitchen bickering.

"I'm happy for him. He's never brought a girl home. I always worried for Edward. He's always alone in the bloody massive apartment. Never has time for family, friends. You're what he needs," Alice smiles at me, "maybe he'll live life less like a turtle."

"If only you'd set us up sooner," I say leaning over the counter to take a knife and cheese to chop.

She hands me a board too. As we work we chat. Like best friends should.

"It hurt me. I wanted to make him happier. He always did what he could when we were kids when I was sad or hurt. I noticed he just never kept contact at the beginning of the year. I thought it was cause he was just going through girls," Alice says shaking her head.

"I think he just needed someone to talk to. After work each day he gives me a small rundown of the day," I shrug, "it's sweet."

"I mean. I guess I was just ignorant. Maybe I need to have a chat with him? He's always been more emotionally there than Em. I just guess I need to hug him," Alice says slightly teary, "I have you to thank. A few weeks and I've seen a change in him. He is just in the room wholey now. He isn't somewhere else."

"He's brought a lot of happiness for me too," I nod.

"I can't wait to watch you two grow," Alice squeals excitedly.

Putting down her knife she rushes around the counter to cuddle me.

"Oh my god! If you get married we'll be sisters," she gasps, "promise I'm your maid of honour."

"Okay. We've been official for five minutes! No wedding yet. Even if I don't marry him you're my maid of honour," I laugh squeezing her against my body.

"Lets go outside. I want in on the party! I have shots, wine, tequila!" She gasps.

"I have to be home for Jye by 10am," I warn.

"Sleep here on the couch?" She suggests.

"I was gonna just get a cab home," I say.

"No!" She groans.

"I'll go late," I compromise.

"I'll change your mind. Please! I need girlfriend time! Jasper has been driving me crazy all week," she sighs.

"Why?" I ask concerned.

"We keep fighting," she admits, "over small shit. We argued about chicken today. He tried to tell me I marinated it wrong. So I told him he can shove it up his ass. Anyway we haven't spoken properly since."

"Oh Alice," I struggle to not laugh.

"It's fine. We're just having a bump," she nods.

"Go give him a cuddle and kiss," I say rubbing her shoulder.

I follow her out to the party. Most of the faces were familiar. Jasper was dressed as a cowboy which was to be expected and Rosalie looked incredible dressed as Harley Quinn. I ogled. I couldn't help myself. I don't know how Emmett was allowing any fight to ensue with someone so beautiful.

"Rose," I smile hugging her.

"Bella. You look crazy good," she gasps patting the empty seat beside her.

Smiling I sit down.

"Are you kidding? Have you actually seen yourself? Can I sneak Emmett out of marrying you and do it myself?" I joke.

"You know what… at this rate I'd take that offer," she rolls her eyes.

"Oh don't say that. I deal with this all of the time. What's the problem?" I ask smiling as Alice hands me a drink.

She wanders off to Jasper leaving me alone to console Rose.

"He just doesn't understand. I'm in a difficult position. My mother is making crazy demands. She's coming along to the fitting on Monday. You'll see what I mean. I just am trying to make everyone happy," she sighs.

I notice how distressed she looks. Behind her beautiful eyes she is hurting. This is meant to be the most amazing time of her life.

"Look. I can help. I had a mother of the groom throw cake at her ex husband mid slow dance at one of my first weddings. Crazy parents is also kind of my thing," I say taking her hand, "plus if he doesn't marry you I will. You're incredible! But something like this is a small bump. They happen in the lead up to weddings. Things go wrong but that's what I'm for."

"You aren't getting paid enough," she huffs.

"You're over paying me. I've made a friendship with you," I say, "you make me feel more wild."

As she laughs I notice a few stray tears. This poor woman.

"Talk to emmett. The key to success in your marriage is to talk! You need to communicate," I push her hair out of her face.

"I guess. It always ends in a yelling match," she shakes her head.

"Try not to yell. Just count to ten and breathe," I advise.

"Enough about me! Tell me about Edward. He has been watching you since you sat down," she smiles, "probably wondering how to not rip you out of that."

"Rose," I laugh, "things have been good."

I glance over at Edward. He smiles at me as he stands chatting with Jasper and some other men I'd seen previously at Alice's get togethers.

"He seems totally taken by you. How's the sex?" She gasps smiling.

Rolling my eyes I nod smiling. It's enough of an answer cause she lets out a girlish squeal.

"We can all go on big triple dates. He never came to our hang outs cause he felt like the 5th wheel. Now he can," Rosalie smiles.

"That would be fun," I smile, "I'd just need someone to mind Jye."

"You could bring him. What if we go bowling and have dinner," she gasps, "tomorrow."

"If we're not too hungover," I shrug nodding.

"I'm making it happen," she smiles, "Edward is going to group date."

I glance over at him. He isn't where he was. Confused I look around the party searching.

"Can I steal her?" I hear from behind our lounge.

"Go for it. I need to go find my joker," Rose smiles up at Edward standing behind me.

As soon as Rose is standing, Edward is replacing her beside me. I smile at him as his hand lovingly takes home on my thigh.

"You know, you need to dress up more," he starts.

"Why's that?" I laugh reaching my hand up to run my fingers through the front section of his hair.

"I've let my imagination run quite wild tonight. You in that costume is doing some things to my mind," he smiles.

I lean closer into him kissing his jawline softly.

"What do you think you're doing?" He mutters.

"Searching for treasure," I whisper against his skin.

As I plant kisses on his neck I rub my hand on his inner thigh. Teasing him was my new favourite hobby.

"Bella," he warns.

Pulling back from his neck I look into his list filled eyes. My hand travels to his crotch. Hopeful no one is paying us attention I rub him through his pants.

"X marks the spot," I say biting my lip.

For a moment he does nothing just looking down at me. So I squeeze my hand. That ignites him. I'm ripped from my seat, a strong hand around my arm pulling me toward inside.

"Where are we going?" I laugh.

"To bury something," he says pulling open a door leading to the bathroom.

Thanks for reading!

Please leave me a review?

I wanted Bella to have more interaction with other characters but still have the crazy about one another vibe from Edward and Bella. That's why we're a bit longer. The relationship might seem a little rushed, but feelings are feelings!

Until chapter 11!
