His delinquent, Her Prince

Chapter 10: Goodbye normality

Touko spent her weekend taking care of Mei, her fever going on and off, yelling at a landlord who was raising the rent on purpose, and looking for a new job. Yes, a new job, she got fired from her main job that made all the money. Running a hand through her chocolate locks she breathed hard, sitting on the kitchen table's chair she had a news paper page in front of her, potential jobs circled in red ink. Gnawing on the end of the pen she felt tired, and a headache was starting to form in the back of her head.

Placing the pen down she looked around for a clock. 5:15. Placing the pen down and grabbing her backpack from the the chair on her left side she stuffed the news paper page in and zipped it all the way. Mei didn't need to know about her being fired, if Mei found out then Touko was sure Mei would insist on getting a job too, and Touko didn't want that for her younger sibling.

She pulled her locks into her regular ponytail and started making breakfast for herself and Mei. The usual was waffles, oatmeal, and a glass of either milk or orange juice. Mei loved orange juice, Touko preferred milk, but on some days, like today, orange juice sounded nice.

As she placed the waffle in the toaster she got from Good Will, a long yawn erupted from her mouth, On second thought, coffee sounds nice, Touko quickly thought. She placed the kettle on the stove and turned her attention on the oatmeal.

Finishing the last touches on the oatmeal she walked over to the pullout couch and stopped by the drawer next to it. Pulling out a drawer she pulled out a belt with six Pokeballs, quickly detaching the pokeballs, she released each Pokemon one by one.

Touko smiled warmly at her team, "Hey, guys," She said, "Sorry I had to keep you locked up for so long." She felt tears prick at the edges of her eyes. Blinking fast they went away.

Samurott nuzzled her cheek protectively, his white fur tickling her neck. Touko giggled and patted his head. Samurott was enormous compared to the living room of their apartment, he alone almost reached the ceiling.

Lillipup stood on her hind legs and her front paws scratched at Touko's checkered Pajama pants, Touko let out a single laugh before bending down and picking her up, "I'm sorry Lilli, I bet you were the loneliest, aye?" She laughed when Lillipup licked her cheek. Yes Lillipup was adorable, but she isn't to be underestimated, she was just as strong as her other Pokemon, Lillipup refused to evolve, so Touko had given her a everstone she had found in the woods one day.

Touko turned her attention to the impatient Liepard who was sitting down and waving her tail around, "Impatient as ever, huh Lie?" Touko smiled as her Liepard gave a humphed 'lie'. Touko placed Lillipup down and turned to her left when something started pulling at her pajama pants.

"Weavile!" Weavile glared at Touko, his arms crossed.

"I would never forget about my little dark type!" Touko said in mock hurt, she broke out in a grin, "Mamma loves youuuu!" Touko teased.

Weavile rolled his eyes, but dropped his glare. He hugged Touko's leg and buried his face into the soft material of the pajama pants. The action melted Touko's heart. The heart warming moment was ended as Weavile was shoved away from Touko.

"Buneary!" Came the cry of the rabbit, she waved her arms up at Touko, begging to be picked up. Once Touko did Buneary glared at Weavile, Weavile hissed back.

Touko rolled her eyes, "Knock it off, I don't want to pay damage to anything more than I have to."

"Voir..." Gardevoir sighed, shaking her head.

"Hey, Gardevoir," Touko greeted her psychic type, "Been a while, huh?"

The psychic type smiled at Touko, forgiving her. She pulled her trainer into a hug, patting the girl lightly on her back.

Touko smiled, Gardevoir was the only parental figure she knew growing up, having inherited Gardevoir from her mother.

Slowly pulling back, Touko nodded, "I'm going to take you guys to school today, I heard from Cheren we're going to have a battle tournament at lunch."

Each of her Pokemon cried their respective names happily, smiling warmly, Touko quickly recalled them. Attaching their Poke-ball to her belt she clipped it around her hips.

Giving a contented sigh she walked back into the kitchen.

"That commoner has a strong will," N noted as he took a delicate bite of his golden toast, "Too much will."

Hyuu gave an inward smile, Lately N has had his mind on the strong willed female, he couldn't help the flutter of hope bloom in his chest. Maybe, just possibly, someone has caught the attention of the tea green haired male.

"Shall we start preparing for departure Younger Master?" An elderly butler bowed, his shiny bald head glistening.

N gave a downward nod, "Yes, while at it, bring me my Pokemon, today there shall be a Pokemon battle, I shall not lose to anyone." N took a sip from his tea.

Nodding the elderly butler raised his gloved hand, at once and young maid walked to his side, awaiting for orders.

"Fetch Young Master's Pokemon." The elder male ordered softly. Nodding once, the maid walked to fulfill her orders.

N flicked his hand, silently ordering the line of maids and butlers to leave. Quickly obeying they walked out in a straight line, the last maid stopped and smiled at her Younger Master.

"Have a nice day Young Master," She smiled, sincerity in her eyes.

For a second Hyuu was afraid N was going to snap, rudely shooting her down.

N rolled his eyes, "You as well," He said tersely. The maid smiled and bowed, closing the door behind her.

Hyuu was behind bewildered, that was the most courteous N has ever been. Was N sick? Did he catch the flu? Hyuu's musings were cut off as N called his name.

"Hyuu," N said, obviously annoyed.

"Forgive me Young Master, I was thinking too much..." N bowed, flustered that he had not paid attention.

N waved his hand nonchalantly, "Forget it, We should head to school soon."

Hyuu looked unconvinced, but nodded anyway, "I shall prepare a car immediately." Hyuu sped off, opening the twin oak doors and leaving.

N sat in silence, ignoring the pang of loneliness in his heart. N blinked when a picture a certain chocolate haired delinquent flashed in his mind. He let his mind wonder, for once not giving a care. He slouched in his velvet cushioned chair, he smirked as he remembered that whenever he would happen to walk past her, if she was with her sister or a female friend she would suddenly hug them protectively, almost pouting. The girls being hugged would usually roll their eyes as the older female's childish actions, but let Touko hug them.

If N recalled correctly he once over heard a group of girls laughing with Touko, asking her why she would hug them whenever she saw or "Sense" he was near.

Touko puffed her chest and said she didn't trust his "kind", true, the words stung him a little, but he simply rolled his eyes and her childishness and walked away. Not wanting to feel her wrath.

N was snapped out of his thoughts when Hyuu returned again, "N, the car is ready."

N stood up and walked over to Hyuu, "Lets get this day over with."

But there was a feeling in the pit of N stomach that something was going to be a tad different, and my a tad, he means a very.
