Canada stood outside on Germany's porch trying to calm his nerves. Tonight was the dinner with Germany and his family. While Canada knew and had spoken to Germany and his family before he was nervous how would they like him as Germany's boyfriend. Would they support them would they not think he was good enough? Canada paled at that thought and pushed it away. He took a deep breath and steeled himself before he knocked on the door.

Canada waited all of about 10 seconds before Germany answered the door with a small smile on his face. Canada smiled back and Germany leaned forward and gave him a quick innocent kiss making the Canadian blush. Germany just smiled and grabbed his hand pulling him in and shutting the door. "I'm glad you could make it." Germany said. Canada just gave a short nervous laugh. "I wouldn't miss it for the NHL finals." Canada said. Germany just smiled at him. Germany opened his mouth to say something else but was interrupted by another familiar voice. "Hey West stop making out with Canada and bring him to the dining room so we can eat all ready!" Prussia yelled out. Germany blushed and grumbled under his breath. Canada just giggled at him and let him lead him into the dining room.

In the dining room, on the table a delicious meal was sitting on the table with four people sitting around it. Germany pulled out a chair for Canada and Canada sat down his nerves coming back at full force. Germany sat beside him on his right at the head of the table. Germany cleared his throat. "Everyone this is my boyfriend Canada. Canada this is my family, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Austria and you already know mien Bruder Prussia pretty well." Germany said. Canada smiled at them all. "It's nice to see you all again." Canada said sincerely. Switzerland and Austria seemed to be looking him up and down studying him closely. Liechtenstein gave him a small shy smile and Prussia was grinning from ear to ear at him. Oh maple Canada thought in his head.

After introductions and a few minutes of passing out food, Austria was the first to turn his attention to Canada again. "You are not quite what I thought." he stated bluntly causing Canada to startle a little and everyone else freeze. "Uh." Canada said not quite sure how to respond. "I don't mean it in a negative way. I figured you were going to be a lot like America loud and brash, but you actually seem quite intelligent and polite." Austria said not missing a beat. Canada smiled happy to be complemented. "Thank you." he said. Austria gave a small smile back and went back to eating.

Prussia who had surprisingly been quiet throughout the ordeal started laughing. "Geez figures it'd be the stuffy aristocrat here to make Canada sweat first." he said making Germany and Austria both shoot him looks. Prussia just ignored them and grinned. Canada just smiled back not fazed by him at all. Liechtenstein was surprisingly next to speak. "Where's your little bear Mr. Canada?" she asked quietly. Canada gave her a small smile aware of Switzerland watching him. "I left Kuma at home tonight." he said. He saw Liechtenstein's small look of disappointment. "If you want to you are more than welcome to come over to see him," he offered. Liechtenstein smiled at him. "We'll be sure to take you up on that offer Canada." Switzerland said. Canada just smiled.

Canada felt a hand grab his under the table and looked over to see Germany smiling at him. He smiled back. "You guys will love Canada's home." he said to Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Canada blushed a bit. The rest of the dinner went by pretty well. Canada talked with Germany's family and slowly his nerves went away and he was talking and laughing with ease.

"I'll be right back with dessert." Germany said with his hands full with dishes heading towards the kitchen. "Here let me help you." Canada said starting to get up. "Nien, you just sit there." Germany said with a small smile sent in his direction. Canada sighed but gave a small smile back. "Okay, but if you need any help at all just call and I'll go help." Canada said. Germany walked out of the room. "You're good for him." Austria said suddenly yet again startling Canada. Canada just looked at him not sure how to respond when Switzerland spoke up. "You make him happy. He hasn't been this happy in a long time." he said. Austria and Prussia agreed with him. Canada blushed and looked down. "I'm just happy I make him happy." he said. Austria, Prussia and Switzerland smiled at him. "You and Mr. Germany are adorable together Mr. Canada." Liechtenstein said. Canada smiled at her. "Thank you." he said with a small laugh a blush still on his face.

"Who wants some cake?" Germany said bursting into the room suddenly. The nations all a bit startled jumped. "What?" He asked looking at them all looking startled. Canada started laughing and soon everyone else joined in. The rest of the evening went by with more talking and laughs. Canada really growing fond of Germany's family and it seemed they were growing fond of him too.

A couple of hours later and everyone had left to their homes or in Prussia's case the basement leaving Canada and Germany alone in the living room. "That was nice." Canada said snuggled into Germany's side. Germany smiled at him and kissed the top of his head. "Ja, it was nice wasn't it. My family seems to like you a lot." he said. "Yeah, I'm quite happy about that. You have no idea how nervous I was they wouldn't like me." Canada said. "Germany just chuckled quietly. "You had no reason to worry they like you and why wouldn't they you're amazing." he said. Canada blushed. Germany just smiled and kissed him. Canada kissed back and by the time Germany pulled away they both were breathless. "Now let's just hope the dinner with my family goes just as well." Canada said with a small smile. Germany just chuckled a bit before he leaned down to give Canada another long breathless kiss.
