Chapter 10

Shola and Marcus entered Natalie's room. They were prepared for the fight with an intruder. But, the image they saw after crossing the doors of the room, was really surprising to them. Almea kneeled on the floor fixing her eyes full of tears at the wall. Small Natalie stood by her. Her facial expression and overall body posture showed that she had been in a some kind of a trance.

"Natalie!" The bearded man ran up to the girl. Natalie awoke from her dream-like state and gazed into his eyes. In the same time, Shola came up to the black-haired woman and waited for her next move. But Almea wasn't interested in the outside world at all.

"Valiera, get somebody her who will lead our intruder to the cell." Marcus got in touch with his soldier and secretary.

"It isn't necessary. She isn't a danger to you." Natalie joined the conversation.

"Isn't she? Look what she did." Shola said pointing at unconscious Mary.

"She isn't a danger to you now. She was different before, but now she changed." The girl spoke again.

"What happened here, Natalie?" John asked surprised by the behavior of the child.

"Almea saw the truth." Natalie answered quietly.

When two John Marcus' men led the woman out to the corridor, she turned around to the bearded man. One of soldiers tried to force her to move, but the leader of rebels stopped him. He wanted to know what Almea had to say. He felt intuitively that it had been something important.

"She can do it." The woman announced.

"She really can defeat the Creator of the Cosmic Colective. Destroying his arm was only a beginning." She continued.

"How do you know about it..." Marcus was surprised.

"She showed me. She showed me the moment of her triumph. But the truth is far deeper than it seems to you. She also showed me the beginning of the creator, his birth in other timespace. She can defeat him, because she is the only one who saw him when he was not yet what he is now. She saw him when he was innocent. And she can help him to come back to that state." Almea said with her eyes closed. Tears started to flow from her eyes. John made a hand gesture, ordering his soldiers to continue leading the black-haired woman to her cell.

Magneto, Karima and Doctor Mahler were walking on an open passageway joining the Institute of the Science with some huge public building. There was a night, and the city was lightened up by a thousand of lights of residential towers, streets, elevators connecting neighbouring levels of the metropolis and airships flying above them. The old woman stopped.

"I'll leave you now. You should have a moment for a talk and making a decision. We'll meet here in a minute and then you'll be able to ask me about anything." She said and walked away in a direction of the elevator leading to terraces with gardens full of plants phosphorescing in a darkness.

"When I'm looking at all of that, I really cannot believe what I heard before." Karima announced. She leaned against a fence looking at lanes placed on the lower level of the city. There was a darkness lightened up by blue glowing crystals. Water flowing on their surfaces forced them to make pleasant, metallic sounds. A group of Zeta Reticulians in a contemplative trance gathered around the odd fountain. The woman also saw families walking in the park, both human ones and made of other races, living in a harmony with each other and the city. One of white-haired girls threw shining balls up in the air. The living toy came near Karima, circled her several times, and then came back to its owner.

"The city seems perfect at first glance." Magneto answered.

"Yes, but this object doesn't fit here." The woman pointed at the black tower glowing with a cold, purple glitter, towering over everything, visible from every point in the city.

"Nobody is looking that way." Magnus shared the observation.

"They are all happy in their beautiful Utopia. The most of them believe that all their problems have been solved." He added.

"And what do you think? You heard a few versions. Whom do you believe?" Karima asked.

"I promised Charles that I would bring you back to our world, everyone of you, safe and sound. I decided to do it irrespective of whom I had to ally myself with, elites of this city or rebels... the only thing that mattered to me was that they had the knowledge and measures to send us home. The politics and local conflicts of this world made no difference for me. But now I can see that what is goin on here is far more bigger than I thought."

"And soon it can reach our Earth." Karima interjected.

"If what our new friends say is true." She added.

"The alien being ruling the Collective tempted me with a possibility of becoming the commander of an army conquering our Earth, and Kanzar and his group warned me against his plans. Whether or not the march of the Collective really leaves dead worlds behind its trail, the danger to our reality is true and we must do everything to stop it. I didn't want it but I was drawn into not my conflict."

Dr Mahler joined two of them.

"I hope that you didn't wait for me too long. Let us walk to the garden." She suggested. Everyone entered a glass, gilded elevator in the shape of a cylinder and descended a few levels lower. After the departure from the lift they came into a park full of plants looking like ferns as large as trees. A big lane was cut in two halves by an artificial river with small wooded bridge built upon it. Aliens belonging to the same race as Kanzar, Xiriel and Ciel were walking in the surroundings.

"In this tower, there was built an orangery made out of slices of ecosystems from worlds conquered by the Cosmic Collective. You've seen meditative gardens of Zeta Reticulians from above, and now we are in the park from the Kanzar's planet. Let us sit down here." The woman said pointing at wooden benches above which a lamp hung shining with a diffused light.

"I'm ready for your questions."

"Why did you turn against your world? From what I could see so far, nobody in this city is trying to rebel, everyone looks pleased with the rule of the Creator."

"Because hardly anyone knows the truth. As a matter of fact, what earlier Kanzar told you is also true. The Saviour really rescued many of civilizations of the Collective from the war extermination. This city is a treasury of tens of cultures and coexists only thanks to the system created by the Saviour. Even people from this world became assimilated with the rest of society. Few of us remember that other nations exist, because we are self-sufficient here and powerful enough that nobody will threaten us. Telepathy of the Zeta Reticulians caused that we had forgotten about the rebels."

"Why is it different with you? How did you find the truth?" Erik asked more.

"It may seem absurd to you, but in a part thanks to you, Erik." Mahler answered mysteriously.

"It all started with an interest of our Institute of Science in a strange space-time anomalies which turned up in Australia. That place has been abandoned since the time of the battle of allied forces against the army of the Collective, which ended the rebelion of the ones who didn't want to assimilate. During the battle, one of ships was destroyed and its anti-gravity drive exploded, literally folding the space up over a distance of of thousand of kilometres. The truth about the battle and the extermination of local people disappeared from the memory of residents thanks to the telepathy of the Saviour and Zeta Reticulians. But not for the Institute of the Science, not for us. We had to monitor all appearing anomalies so that they didn't threaten our metropolis coming into existence. I was sent into the very heart of space-time turbulence, with the team of soldiers under command of Kanzar, protecting us from rebels attacking outside borders of our city. And when we were on the spot, we discovered something... or rather somebody who opened our eyes to the truth about the Creator of the Collective. The same stranger whom you met earlier, the stranger dressed in a red armour appeared in the center of miniature black hole bending the space around us. She started to speak in our head as a representative of the group responsible for creating the evil of the saviour. Kanzar and his soldiers didn't accept his message. They attacked the stranger, but they were no match for him. When they were defeated, he said he had brought some evidence along. In one hand, he was holding a black cube. He explained that it had been Iz'ynt, vessel for the collective awareness of the planet Oscion, repository of non-existent world, "flight recorder" on which there were written last days of the universe destroyed by the Cosmic Collective. We wanted to find the truth. We had to create a connection between Iz'ynt and with a conscious being. Kanzar provided us with some homeless girl, and we conducted the appropriate neurochirurgical operation on her head. We learnt the history of the world doomed to extinction by the Collective and started carrying out research in order to confirm the truth. When the stranger told us the Saviour had weakened, we knew that we would be able to act without his knowledge. Soon we recruited others, like important Zeta Reticulians who provided the telepathic protection for us inside the program of the influence on minds they had conducted for years on the false saviour's orders. Our small group was born, very small because larger one would attract the attention of our new opponent."

"What is my role? You didn't recall about contacting anybody from my reality."

"The stranger brought along also the other artefact, making a copy of the excerpt of crystal images from other worlds. In this crystal, he saw the being who was able to close the wormhole, you. Kanzar found forced volunteers, homeless rebels caught during one of hunts and provided our friend in red armour with them. I don't know why he needed them. He tried to explain us that he was going to modify their bodies so that after the contact with you they could free your new abilities, and perhaps you would be able to destroy the Ladder of Creation."

"Now everything becomes clear. Before I came here, I and my companions were attacked by people calling themselves pirates, Uppraiser and Stripmine, the woman and the man. We defeated them and threw them into a prison, thinking that they were mutants searching for a simple profit on ruins of the destroyed city. Now I know that was your doing. You got me here against my will, you exposed the people I promised to protect to a danger. You made me a tool to repair the mess of your world."

"This mess was our problem, but very shortly it will also find its way to your reality. You have a choice: you can come back to the Creator of the Cosmic Collective and take an oath. If you don't believe in what I said about the real nature of this being, you can delude yourself that becoming one of his generals you will possess the planet which you wanted to rule after all." Magneto looked at Karima angrily.

"What did you tell her?" He asked. A blue glow appeared around his hand.

"She didn't have to. I read out cerebral implants which improved her memory. Really fascinating technology."

"Go on."

"If data I gathered and the knowledge that our friend in the red armour handed over to us are real, you will bring to your world not only order of the new authority, but also a slow death. The saviour is more and more insatiable, and keeping his power requires taking more and more energy. Even if there are beings with superhuman powers in your world, you won't stop him when he finds his way to your dimension. The only chance to wipe him is to destroy the Ladder of the Creation when he will be between worlds and forever imprison him in the zero-dimensional emptiness."

Magnus looked at lightings of vehicles moving along motorways high above his head. He plunged into deep thoughts.

"All right." He said finally.

"I agree to help you. Provided that you will help me to find my people and you won't draw them into your conflict."

"All right. Tomorrow you'll turn up at my laboratory. I will have to conduct tests on you." The grey haired woman answered gladly.

"I still have one condition. I don't want to rely on grey telepaths. I want to build my own safeguard against collective telepathy of the leader." He announced rising from the bench.

Callisto and Xiriel travelled across kilometers of concrete corridors plunged in the darkness and stairs leading towards foundations of the city erected on the site of the destroyed Japanese metropolis. A cold wind blew there, water which got there from leaky storm drains of the large city dripped from ceilings on the floor and walls. Drone in the shape of a ball, hovered above women, providing the visibility in the closest surroundings. Xiriel was tired out and weakened because of her wound. She tried to keep up the pace with Callisto, but she did it with great difficulty. She stumbled over pieces of a concrete column scattered on the floor.

"Be careful!" The one-eyed woman shouted seeing her travel companion. Xiriel sat down on a concrete block.

"Do you want to rest?" Callisto asked.

"I said that you should leave me behind in the bottom floor. I'm wounded and I'm slowing down your march. If fight starts again, I will be a weak point." Thee woman with white hair said angrily.

"And I said I won't leave behind wounded companion. Even if she thinks that she wants it." The woman sat down next to Xiriel.

"Tell me what is so important for you, that you decided to go with me to the city Chosen Ones? I lost members of my team there, and the only person thanks to whom I have a chance to come back to my world. What about you? You know all threats of the travel very well. You know that you're having a very good chance not to reach gates of the city. But yet you decided to go. What is waiting for you there? Who is so important to you?"

Elven woman looked at Calisto with a surprise that quickly changed in an anger. She turned away her head covering the face with hair. She clenched her wounded arm.

"I won't be talking to you about my private matters. I had to get to the city. This knowledge should be enough for you."

"Yes, I don't need to know this. For me it is unimportant. But you must know yourself! You must remind yourself for whom you were ready to risk your neck and get to the city. If you will say it aloud... you will convince yourself that you must go further!" Callisto said with a raised vote. She looked at Xiriel who was trying to avoid the eye contact. There was an irritating silence, disrupted by sounds of industry coming from a distance and howling of the wind blowing between the carcass of concrete-metal structure.

"All right. I'll tell you." Xiriel decided to open up.

"She is called Ciel. She stayed up there, under the care of a bad person."

"Ciel? Who is she?"

" My daughter." The white-haired woman clenched fists.

"When I worked at the Institute of the Science, I was assigned to a team analysing people, whose brains contracted a strange wasting disease. I carried out research in order to help them, but the matter was closed, funds ended, and patients were moved to other institutions. I worked in spite of the ban, I reached victims before authorities found them and I carried out research on them. Soon, I discovered that a group of Zeta Reticulians had existed in the city, who were changing telepathically memories of residents. At the beginning, I didn't know what to do with this, but I had to learn why they did it and what kind of memories they removed. Disregarding warnings from superiors, I searched the cyberspace of the city, trying to find even a bit of the truth. In a vain. At the same time everyone, with whom I worked earlier, left the Institute and stopped contacting me. I don't know whether they were threatened, or Reticulians found them and did the same brainwashing to them as to our patients. They spared me for some reason, so I searched more. I decided to go to my brother, Kanzar who was the commander of defence forces of the city and used his computers behind his back. I found out the truth... the truth hidden from everyone, the truth which they also took out from my head. I learnt about the existence of rebels hiding in the old city, warriors fighting against the Saviour and the Collective, warriors known only by the army fighting with them. Kanzar knew what I had discovered very well, because the next night he appeared in my house together with the bunch of soldiers waiting outside. He rushed to my garden ordering to take Ciel. His people blew my house, togehter with my partner, up. They let me escape... I don't know why... perhaps Kanzar didn't want to subject me to the brainwashing, because he knew that I would finish same as those patients. When I wandered in city streets, I saw information about my tragic death in an accident, I could not use my code card in shops and elevators... Kanzar erased me out of existance. I came back to the Institute and entered forbidden tunnels lying under it, leading straight to the ruins in which rebels lived. Now I must come back..." Xiriel got up from the cold, turned over column.

"I must know what happened to my daughter." The white-haired elf-like girl headed in the direction of destroyed stairs. Callisto was glad with her change of the mood.

"Thank you." Xiriel announced turning around.

When women arrived at the top floor of the concrete maze, they saw a square which could be an underground car park, or a part of some large underground bunker in the past. The room was bathed in the darkness, like all other places below. Xiriel made a step forward, lighting her route using the drone. She stumbled over something.

"What happened?" Callisto asked surprised. Xiriel gestured to the flying robot. The drone turned its lights off.

"We'll have a company." The white-haired woman announced with an anxiety.

"More thugs?" Callisto took the knife out.

"No. Far worse." Xiriel answered pointing at the floor. As it turned out, she earlier stumbled over bones. There were human bones of victims eaten by residents of catacombs of concrete and steel.

"Hide behind me." Callisto prepared the knife, seeing figures emerging into the view from the darkness. Xiriel's Drone, flew near the ceiling of the room at her mental order, simultaneously increasing intensity of its shining. Women could finally see beings coming near to them. As it turned out, they were surrounded by deformed mutants, runaway or threw out from laboratories of the Institute of the Science on a purpose, monsters which creation was wiped out from all registers and about which only a handful of people knew, their creators and their bosses. Mutants were repulsive and shocking with their appearance. One of them was large and muscular, and his large head consisted of two human heads conjoined to each other, eyes looking at two different directions of the world. Other mutant was tall and very slim, and his long fingers looked like talons of bird of prey and were the same sharp. His mouth deprived of lips was bent in a horrifying smile. The mutant, which left from behind the corner of the wall, was the most shocking of everyone. He had two heads, human and resembling canine and was walking on six human arms like a large insect. His look full of hate worried even his co-companions. There were also many people and other races members in old clothings. Each of them was dirty, and their bodies and faces were disfigured by errors entered into their genetic code on a purpose.

"Can we somehow reach an agreement with them?" Callisto asked reminding her people expelled from the society and living in the darkness of channels, the same life as poor beasts standing around her.

"No. Their minds were destroyed. They are only wild beasts searching for food. If we don't fighting, we'll die." Xiriel answered. Callisto attacked the pauper with a bird-like face, incising his carotid artery with one move of the knife. Monsters were surprised with an unexpected reaction of their victims and stood still, but they counter-attacked after a moment. Callisto put a knife into the chest of the fat creature with one eye in the middle of the head, and Xiriel's kick broke two jaws of Siamese twins as thin as a skeleton. The monster with long talons hit mutant woman, depriving her of the knife. Large, two-headed creature attacked Callisto using fists and a loud roar getting out of his two throats. The woman fell to the concrete floor. Six-armed monster ran up to her and immobilised her limbs. More opponents gathered around the woman, and mutant without lips planned to use its sharp talons to disembowel her. Xiriel had to act. She knew that what she was supposed to do in a minute would bring her trouble later, but she had no choice. She clenched fists and closed her eyes.

"Leave her alone!" She shouted. Tears started to flow from her eyes and her whole body emitted an energy in the form of powerful telekinetic wave. The monster with long talons was moved up into the air and crushed against a concrete. His bones in limbs and spine were broken up in a split second. Xiriel's telekinesis broke necks of two-headed monster with six hands, so Callisto could free herself and move away from the group of mutants. White-haired elf couldn't restrain herself anymore. She attacked other monstrosities telekinetically, breaking their bodies against concrete walls, the ceiling and the floor. Bloody rain drops fell all around announcing Xiriel's victory. Callisto looked at her friend in a disbelief.

"I'm impressed. I don't understand why you did it now not earlier. You could avoid the wound."

"I could not leave you in their mercy. Earlier, it was my health and my life. have the same abilities as my brother, perhaps I'm even stronger than him. But because I use the power now, I lost an element of surprise. Kanzar knows that I'm coming back for Ciel." Xiriel answered sadly.

"Let us walk. We must track her down and walk away from the city before he finds you." Callisto announced taking her red blood knife off the floor.

Charles Xavier supervised the operation from the inside of the car, hidden telepathically from the eyesight of people walking on the nearby street. Book accompanied him, mutely observing his silent contact with the team. The supporters of Magneto had clear, but not so simple task. Freeing Stripmine and Appraiser from X-Corporation's stronghold established by Xavier in Mumbai, full of electronic security systems. Brutal telepathic examation of prisoners was the only hope for the contact with the mysterious group of beings in armours that could help to solve a riddle of Excalibur team and Magneto's disappearing. The main task, getting to the heart of the building and kidnapping two prisoners, belonged to Scanner and Voght cooperating with each other. The etheric figure of the blonde and the gas form of ginger mutant moved through consecutive levels of the prison, coordinated telepathically by Charles Xavier. Turning off protective electronic systems in every section of the building in order to provide her friend with a free passage through ventilation was Sarah's mission. Travelling across every next section had to be as fast as possible, so it was registred by security systems as nothing more than a fleeting glitch in the power systems caused by too many devices inside the building working at the same time. The Acolythes managed to reach the third level below ground without leaving a smallest trace after their passage. Other member of the team, Ram-Ram took care of X-Corporation's working staff so they didn't disturb women's task. Using his superhuman abilities, he caused that everyone inside the building had become very sleepy and soon fell asleep on the service, and their dreams were so beautiful that they wanted to stay inside them forever. The rest of Acolytes were hiding in the vicinity of the building, all dressed in civilian clothes. They were the first line of defence of the professor in a case of the mission's failure and intervention of X-Men from X-Corporation. Unscione, Kleinstocks and Joanna Cargill waited in the city, Static was close to the car of Xavier, and Neophyte was ready to phase professor through the street, if their opponents defeated Acolythes and reached the car.

Monet joined the group of young mutants waiting for her and with was going to start new semester of the school. The girl was happy that she was going to meet with old friends. She was feeling as when she had been among people similar for the first time, far from her brother hunting her. Again she met with Jubilee, Husk, Chamber, Skin and Synch. Again, she saw Sean Cassady and Emma Frost. She was relieved after her life as X-Corporation member in the world of such tragedies as the Genosha's destruction. She could forget that she had not been a teenager anymore practising how to use her superhuman abilities. Looking at smiles of her friends and teachers, Monet started feeling uncomfortably, as if she was the only odd element in the jigsaw of the surrounding world. She looked all around chatting some nonsense with her friends. She decided to use telepathy to look beyond the mask of faces looking at her and then memories of last years flowed into her mind. Monet remembered Synch's and Skin's death and the end of the X-Generation group. She realized that what she experienced hadn't really happened and she freed herself from the illusion. Apparitions of her old friends faded away in front of her eyes like a fog, just like well-known surroundings fro her school times. The girl woke up in the room in a total darkness. She got up, and after cooling down from impressions triggered by Ram-Ram's illusions, she switched her bedside lamp on. She was looking straight ahead in a stillness waiting until voices sounding in her head become quiet and unnatural silence of the X-Corporation building returns. After a moment, Monet appeared on the corridor, lighted by glow of symbols showingh the route of an evacuation. Going along the wall, she passed the sleeping guard. She reached the room in which the monitoring center of the entire building was located and found other employees in grasps of dreams sent by Ram-Ram and strangely behaving displays. The image on screens disappeared in an established pace and order. Somebody crossed consecutive rooms avoiding security cameras and it was evident that prison for supercriminals was his or her purpose. Monet looked at guards. She didn't intend to waste time and her abilities to wake them up from the illusory dream. Instead of it, she made a contact with friends from the group. Cannonball, Darkstar, Thunderbird, Siryn and Rictor were freed from assumptions of the dream and Ram-Ram's psionic attack. Monet passed them information about intruders telepathically and simultaneously located the group gearing up for the attack in a front of the building. She ran in the direction of the prison building. Charles Xavier immediately detected the girl using her psionic ability and alarmed his subordinates.

"We were detected. Prepare for X-Men." He shouted in Acolytes' minds.

"Amelia, Sarah, there is no time for subtleties. Drag prisoners out from there as soon as possible." Women immediately performed the task. Scanner immobilised defensive systems in Uppraiser and Stripmine's cell which let Voght materialize in the very center of the room.

"What is happening here? Who are you for Christ's sake!" The long-haired man shouted surprised with an appearance of ginger Acolythe.

"I don't think you should speak this way to somebody who will drag you out from here right away." Amelia announced.

"Take a deep breath and don't resist the transformation. My fog will move you to the safe place." The woman raised both hands and her body changed into a gas. The intelligent cloud embraced prisoners, transforming them so that they can be ready for the teleportation. Monet ran into the cell too late. She managed to see only last disappearing clouds of Voight's gas.

"Damn it!" She clenched fists with an anger. She used her abilities, trying to locate other intruders, especially the telepaths who earlier locked her in an illusory dream. She established contact with minds in front of the building, simultaneously sensing a presence of powerful psychic. She united telepathically with friends.

"Intruders are in front of the building. Take care of them. We must stop at least one of them. Cannonball, go to the place which I'll show you immediately."

X-Men's group noticed Acolytes waiting. At the same time, Amelia and prisoners materialised in a distance from the rest of the group. Charles immediately sensed the appearance of the woman and passed told her newest instructions, ordering the immediate evacuation.

"I'll get rid of them." Rictor said with a mocking smile, lowering hands for the generation of a seismic wave.

"Take care of him!" Unscionne ordered Kleinstocks. Brothers took hold of each other hands and launched a stream of plasma towards the mutant. Rictor was hit and fell down, before he managed to counter-attack. Syrin quickly ran up to him. In the same time, Monet appeared on the spot of the battle. She landed by the ginger girl.

"What's with him?" She asked.

"He lives, but is battered."

"Take him from here. Rest of the group, stop them!" M gave next orders.

"I can burn you too!" Thunderbird attacked Kleinstock brothers with his flames. Two hot streams hit each other. Monet tried to shut Cargill's mind off, but she came across an unexpected telepathic barrier. The black woman caught her by the leg and threw her to the ground. Darkstar tried to eliminate the group of Acolytes with her living darkness. Only Unscione's quickness to respond and the umbrella of her telekinetic field protected the group from a painful defeat. Cannonball rushed towards the shown object him by Monet, he approached the professor's car with each milisecond. Xavier spoke telepathically in Static's, Book's and Neophyte's minds,

"Static, try to get his attention. Book, open your mind, I'll build psionic link between you two. Neophyte prepare to phase us if Cannonball didn't change the trajectory." All addressees of the message were ready for the action, just like they learnt during the fast training with Xavier. Gianna attacked flying mutant with the electric energy. The barrier surrounding Sam's body, thanks to which he could fly with a huge speed, provided a sufficient protection and isolation for him from the girl's electric attack. Blue electrical discharge run along the body of the mutant making him no harm, not even slowing down his flight. The bald man turned to the fat woman sitting beside him.

"Now!" He said in her thought. After a moment, he attacked the mutant from X-Corporation telepatically, moving the data from all books, which Book absorbed during her visit in one of larger libraries in New York, straight to his mind,. He touched his head, not being able to stop the stream of information. The mutant started losing consciousness, and his flight became chaotic and destabilized. Neophyte touched Xavier and Book using the power of phasing. Fortunately, his abilities turned out to be unnecessary, because Cannonball crashed nearby the car. The barrier saved his life, but the fall eliminated him from the further fight against Xavier's group.

"Amelia, hurry up. Take us to the place about which we talked." Charles got in touch with the ginger woman.

"The dispersed teleportation may be very unpleasant for us." The woman answered him in thoughts.

"But better this, than to go to a prison." She added. In the same time, Acolytes fought with defenders of X-Corporation. Monet tried to defeat Cargill, using her physical strength, because mutant woman was protected by the psychic barrier created by Xavier. Unscione kept Darkstar in a telekinetic hug, at the same time covering herself from hits of her darkness. Thunderbird used the fire against energy bullets of Kleinstock brothers, and Syrin tried to evacuate wounded Rictor.

"Charles, X-Men are too close to Acolytes. If I use my teleportational fogs, I'll move them with us. We must separate them somehow."

Sarah Ryall heard words of the friend thanks to professor's telepathic link.

"I'll deal with them." She said. She appeared above heads of fighting people in a form of the bright astral projection. She gathered the energy and attacked opponents not-expecting her. Energy dashed off towards Darkstar, knocking her off the sky. Mutant's attack also affected Thunderbird. The man coulnd't defend himself even after creating a shiled of flames around himself. Monet also was hit by Scanner's lightning. The moment of daze was enough for Joanna to slap her in the face, temporarily eliminating her from the skirmish. Sarah turned in the direction of Siryn and Rictor. She was ready to treat them the same as their companions from X-Corporation.

"No!" Xavier shouted telepathically. Scanner stopped and seeing the rest of Acolytes disappearing in Voight's teleportational fog, also retreated in the place pointed by the professor X in her thoughts.
