Hanna walks up to the front door of Emily's house feeling a bit nervous…okay that's an understatement, she's feeling a lot more nervous than she'd like to admit. Her hands are sweating ridiculously and she almost can't even breathe right. She raises her right hand getting ready to knock but hesitates still not convinced that she's ready. Why are you acting so lame? Just knock! She mentally scolds herself.
She decides to knock and then waits impatiently for the door to open. The door opens to reveal Pam with a smile on her face as if she knew it was Hanna before she had even opened the door. Hanna smiles in return and lets out a sigh a bit alleviated that it wasn't Emily who opened the door, so it's like everything's not hitting her at once.
"Hi Hanna, come in." Pam greets with a smile allowing Hanna to walk inside the house.
"Hi Mrs. Fields. Thank you." Hanna greets as she watches Pam close the door.
Pam guides Hanna further into the house and calls out to Emily. Hanna begins to feel a bit nervous again now that she's pretty aware that Emily will walk down those stairs any time soon.
Emily soon appears as she walks down the stairs trying to hide her excitement to see Hanna. Hanna could hear someone coming down the stairs and so she checks to see if it's Emily but ends up doing a double take realizing that it is Emily and not only is she smiling that cute shy smile but she looks extremely beautiful. Hanna was flabbergasted, her eyes widen and her lips slightly parted at the site of Emily. Emily blushes a deep shade of red. She had already had that effect on Mona but she still blushed uncontrollably and felt a nice warmth because this time it's different, this time it's Hanna.
Emily approached Hanna and slowly lifted her gaze, smiling as to greet her. Hanna couldn't breathe, she was still stuck in her position and still looking at her like she was the most endearing, gorgeous, and stunning creature she's ever seen. Luckily, Pam was already in the kitchen because it would've been a lot more awkward if she had caught Hanna staring.
"Uh, H-Hey…" Hanna managed to speak up. She had just realized that she was staring and felt completely stupid but she couldn't help it. "You look…gorgeous."
Emily drops her gaze and once again blushes at the way Hanna is looking at her and at the compliment of course. She notices Hanna's outfit and realizes that Hanna looks hot with the outfit she's wearing too, Hanna always looks hot but this outfit was on point and Emily just loved her style. Hanna was rocking a black leather jacket with a white T-shirt underneath it, skinny ripped jeans and a pair of Steve Madden studlyy loafers. Her hair was a bit more curly than usual and she had on some black Ray Ban wayfarers clinging onto the front of her shirt. Emily was beyond astonished. Hanna was just so dark, edgy, and oh so sexy.
"Girls the food is on the table." Pam yells from the dining room, cutting their trance short and interrupting them from their admiration towards each other.
Hanna smiles making her cute dimples show for she had very much noticed Emily checking her out which was only proof that maybe Emily is in fact crushing on her as Mona had said. Emily looks up catching Hanna's eyes. Hanna was hypnotized just looking at her. She knew Emily's eyes were chocolate colored but she saw other beautiful colors in her eyes, colors that probably didn't even exist. Colors that could paint her a lovely, calm evening at a park with her. Her eyes sparkled like beautiful bright stars on a precious night. Hanna had never known a feeling like the one Emily gave her and she'd never seen someone so beautiful either.
"Girls?" Pam calls out, once again interrupting their little moment.
Hanna smiles and nods to where the dining room is, signaling that they should go. They walk to where the table is set up already and Pam is just about finished with putting the drinks on the table. Hanna sits and pats the seat next to her for Emily to sit. Emily thought it was such a cute gesture. She sits on the chair next to Hanna and looks down playing with her hands slightly nervous since not only is she pretty close to her but her mother is now joining too.
"Its spaghetti Alfredo, I hope you like pasta." Pam says as she places a fork next to Hanna's plate and then another one next to Emily's.
"I love pasta." Hanna smiles at Pam. She looks down at her plate not knowing whether to start eating or to wait for Pam to get her plate and sit with them. She isn't sure what's appropriate right now and it's kind of making it awkward considering Hanna isn't used to this.
"What are you guys waiting for? Start eating." Pam chuckles at the two girls who have yet to pick up their forks and start eating. "So Hanna…" Pam starts as she sits down.
Hanna knows where this is going so she puts the fork back down on her plate refusing to answer Mrs. Fields's questions with food in her mouth. Again, she has manners even though she rarely uses them around her friends. She looks up at Pam waiting for her to continue.
"I've been wanting to thank you for driving my daughter home from school the days it was raining. That was very sweet of you to do that." Pam continues as she eats some of her spaghetti.
Emily could feel her face burning now and she hoped that her mother wouldn't make the subject about her nor would she embarrass her in front of Hanna.
"You're welcome. It's really not an issue for me." Hanna smiles at Pam then turns to look at Emily who is now cheesing adorably.
Pam looks from Hanna to Emily and she could tell there's chemistry between the two and she loves to see her daughter smile so big, it warms her heart. A few years ago, she would've felt uncomfortable to have caught the moment and to just see another girl look at her daughter in the way a lover would, but now she's grown open minded and as crazy as it sounds she could only hope that they end up together because it's so blatant that Hanna cares about Emily and will make her happy just like she could see that her daughter is crushing hard on Hanna.
They continue chatting here and there mostly about little things which both Hanna and Emily were pretty grateful for because they thought the whole dinner was going to be Pam playing 21 questions with Hanna just about school and the future but luckily it wasn't.
The two girls help clean up the table and bring the dishes to the sink as Pam starts cleaning up the kitchen up a bit.
"You girls just leave those dishes in the sink I will wash them." Pam claims practically dismissing the girls out of the kitchen. "And Hanna…thank you so much for coming. I'm glad you liked it."
Hanna smiles gently and nods. "Thank you too, Mrs. Fields."
Emily opens the front door and waits for Hanna to walk out so she can follow behind. She shuts the door behind her so that her mother isn't being nosey. Hanna walks closer to Emily and puts her hands in the pockets of her leather jacket. She's not sure how to begin with what she's going to say and she's nervous. Emily furrows her eyebrows sensing Hanna's worry and hesitation.
"Emily…I have to…um… I have to tell you something." Hanna thought that was the worst way she could begin with what she wanted to say because now she could see the anxiety building up in Emily by just looking at her expression. "It's nothing bad, I mean well it depends…"
Just say it you idiot! She mentally slapped herself for being so silly.
"I've just…I um… I really like you. Like, I like you like you. I think you like me too." Hanna says in a low voice as she steps closer to Emily leaving them now inches away from each other.
Emily's breathe hitched and she thought she might just faint. Did Hanna just say she likes her? Is she dreaming? She could feel her heart beating faster and faster and Hanna being so close wasn't making it any easier.
Hanna looks deeply into Emily's eye even though she's still nervous. "Emily would you like to go out with me? Like on a date?" She whispers softly but hopeful.
Emily's eyes open wide and her lips parted. Hanna sees her surprised look and takes it in a negative way as she starts panicking and feeling stupid.
"Fuck, I… I should've never said anything. I'm so sorry, t-that was stupid." She backs away from Emily. "I'm sorry, just forget I said anything." Hanna says as she turns around getting ready to walk to her car.
"H-Hanna wait!" Emily says, her voice came out a bit lower than expected.
Hanna stops in the middle of her tracks and turns with a shocked look on her face. "Did you just…" She's unable to finish her sentence at this point.
Emily nods shyly and looks down hugging herself feeling a little self-conscious. Hanna slowly takes a step towards her standing a few inches away from her like she was just a few minutes ago. She raises Emily's chin to get her to look at her.
"You spoke to me" She says in almost a whisper, "you said my name." A smile begins to spread on Hanna's face. She couldn't believe that Emily finally spoke to her.
Emily blushes and bites her lower lip. "I w-want to g-g-go out with you."
Hanna smiles even bigger and leans in and rests her forehead with Emily's making her close her eyes and gasp quietly. Hanna smiles at the cute reaction and tucks a piece of Emily's hair behind her ear gently and tenderly with one hand while she wraps the other one around Emily's lower back bringing her in closer. Emily rests her hands grabbing slightly onto to the hem of Hanna's shirt.
"Your voice is so sexy." Hanna says in a low raspy voice.
Emily thought she was about to go crazy. Hanna was so close to her and speaking in that voice while complimenting her is only making Emily want to lean in and kiss her but she's not that bold.
The way Emily was biting her lip and gently grabbing onto Hanna's shirt was getting to Hanna as well. Emily was so fucking sexy and adorable and sweet all at the same time. How can someone be sweet, adorable, and then sexy all at once? It made Hanna want to cuddle her like a baby one minute and then kiss her roughly the next. But it was way too soon for all that. She just took advantage of the moment and enjoyed the proximity of them both.
After what felt like forever, Hanna grows the strength to back slightly away just enough to see Emily's face. Emily blushed deeply at their little moment and let out a quiet breathe she didn't even realize she was holding.
"I hate to ruin the moment, but I have to go" Hanna says as she grabs both of Emily's hands in front of her, "I'll see you tomorrow?"
Emily nods in agreement and smiles shyly at her hands in Hanna's. Hanna slowly lets go of Emily's hands and turns towards her car. She wishes she could stay with Emily but it's getting late. She's too happy to even think of dueling on it considering Emily said yes and now they will go on cute dates and Hanna will be able to hold her and look at her all she wants.
Emily watches Hanna drive off as she goes inside the house and shuts the door behind her. She lets out a romantic sigh still feeling a bit dazed from the feeling Hanna gives her. She covers her face with her hands and giggles at herself for how she's acting. Tonight was without a doubt the best night she's ever had and little does she know there are more to come.
