Hey there! This is a request from EraticMind for a Modern AU spin. This contains a bit of a dominative Zuko and a slightly submissive Toph. Hope you enjoy it! I don't own Avatar!

'Guess who?'

Toph smiled slightly as she felt the heavy hands of Zuko over her eyes. 'You do know I'm blind right?' Toph said as she turned around and removed Zuko's hands from her face. 'It feels weird staring at your face and saying 'guess who'.' Zuko replied in a good mannered tone.

Toph scoffed and she hoisted her bag over her shoulder. 'Are we still on for Saturday?' Zuko asked as she began to walk off. 'Yeah sure.' Toph called back. Toph located the locker and walked up to it only to groan.

'Don't you guys ever get tired of staring at Zuko's ass as he walks away?' She asked as she opened her locker. 'It's a wonderful sight, Toph.' Suki said in a breathy sigh as she stared at Zuko disappearing figure. 'It's cause you can't see it Toph.' Lin said. Toph only scoffed.

'You two should be ashamed of yourselves. Haven't you got boyfriends?' She asked. The two girls spluttered. 'Haru checks out Azula anyway so I have all right.' Lin snapped back. Toph snorted. 'Okay then. You keep telling yourself that.' She said. The bell rang for the next period and Toph sent the two girls on their way.

Toph flushed the toilet and was about to get out when she heard a couple of girls come in. That wouldn't have bothered her so much but she knew those footsteps. She'd felt it every time she went to Zuko's house. It was Azula.

'But I just don't understand why you're not fighting for Zuko, Mai.' Azula said as she fluffed her hair in the mirror. Toph could detect the steps of Mai and Ty Lee on the outside of the toilet. She winced. They were the queen bees of Omashu High. They were all Fire citizens but Azula's mother was an ambassador to the Earth Kingdom so they had no choice but to go to school with the Earth citizens.

Of course as soon as they'd arrived, Azula had quickly established herself as queen and she had no qualms about letting other people know it. Some people didn't mind or care (like her for instance) but majority of the school had fallen under her rule.

Idiots. 'I don't fight for boys, Azula. If Zuko wants me, he'll come and get me.' Mai said, saying the word 'fight' with distaste. Toph could hear the distinctive sound of a wand being pulled out of a tube and she rolled her eyes. Who the hell are they primping for? The only person who's got someone to consider is Ty Lee and it's Jet and we all know what he wants.

'Yeah but I heard he's moving on to that blind earth bender, what's her name again? Toph I think?' Ty Lee said. Toph's mouth fell open in rage. There was a flurry of clothing being rearranged and a giggle from Azula. 'Oh for Pete's sake be serious Ty Lee.' Azula said. 'Zuko's kind but he's not stupid. What would he possibly be doing with a little blind girl?'

Toph's fists clenched and she took in a deep breath. It won't help anyone if you blow up now Toph. 'Yeah but she's a Bei Fong.' Ty Lee said back. 'She's like the best bender ever.'

'What's your point Ty?' Mai snapped. Toph felt Ty Lee back away slightly. 'I'm just saying what I heard.' She muttered. 'Well you probably heard wrong.' Azula said with a snap of what Toph assumed to be a lipstick tube. 'Mai's got more competition from that Water Tribe slut called Katara. Besides Toph's a junior.'

'Isn't Aang also a junior?' Mai asked. 'Yeah but he's someone worth having.' Azula replied. It was then that Toph decided that she'd listened in enough. She casually strolled out of the toilet stall and walked right up to the sink. She reached for the tap and washed her hands. The trio had fallen silent and Toph allowed herself to smirk slightly.

She shook the water off her hands and made her way to the door before pausing. 'Next time you three want to talk about me, do it where I can't hear you. Or better yet, do it in front of my face so the distance between you and my fist isn't a stretch.' With that Toph walked out of the toilet and to her class without taking a look back.

'So you and Toph hmm?' Katara asked as she and Zuko paired up in science class. Zuko almost dropped his beaker and Katara giggled. 'It's not your fault. I looked in your bag and I saw her headband in it.' She said.

'Doesn't mean we're…doing anything.' Zuko mumbled. 'I didn't say you were.' Katara said in a sing song voice. Zuko scowled and Katara laughed. 'Zuko it's fine. I won't say a word to anyone. I still owe you for Aang and I.' She said with a smile.

'Yes you do.' Zuko muttered. 'I went through hell with Mai for that.' Katara made an apologetic face. 'I know. I'm sorry.' Zuko lit the Bunsen burner with his flames and they set a beaker full of Benedict solution on the flame before going back to the conversation.

'What's up with you and Mai anyway?' Katara asked. 'I broke up with her.' Zuko said blatantly. 'Okay actually that's untrue. I ditched her ass cause she's the most boring human being I've ever met. The most fun we had were her knife throwing sessions.'

Katara made a cooing sound. 'Knife throwing. Aren't you a kinky boyfriend?' She said in a lightly teasing voice. Zuko flushed. 'Like you don't let Aang tie you up. I know rope burns when I see them.' Zuko back. Katara blushed.

'It was his idea.' She said in a weak voice. 'Face it Katara. You're a bad girl.' Zuko said in a teasing voice. Katara smacked his arm and Zuko chuckled.

'Ms. Katara and Mr. Zuko if you'd be soo kind as to take your beaker off the fire before you spoil the experiment.' came their teacher. Katara and Zuko's eyes snapped back to the experiment and Zuko put out the fire while Katara managed to control the solution.

'Shit.'

Toph shut her car door with a slam and walked to the side of the road before kicking off her shoes. She wriggled her feet in the soil and gave a content sigh. Oh that's much, much better. She took in a deep breath and dug her heels in the ground before closing her eyes.

She searched out the heartbeat she was looking for before sending out a mound of earth towards it. She smiled softly before trudging through the forest. It was finally Saturday and she was on her way to see Zuko. They'd decided to meet in the woods because it was much easier there.

Toph's mom hated Zuko's mother for some strange reason. Actually come to think about it, she hated all Fire citizens. It was something about a war that happened ages ago but apparently, Poppy Bei Fong was still holding tight to it. Toph didn't care.

She loved Zuko and he loved her. She still didn't know what they were planning to do when the time came for Zuko's mother to leave but whatever it was, Toph was damn sure she wasn't going to stay back in the Earth Kingdom without him and he didn't look like he was willing to go back to the Fire Nation especially with the tension between him and his father so it looked like they were sticking together.

Toph felt the air become warmer and she smiled with glee before picking up her pace.

Toph gave a breathy sigh as she collapsed on Zuko. 'We have got to stop doing this outdoors.' Zuko said in between pants. Toph snorted. 'Why?' She asked, her hand tracing patterns on his chest. 'It's cool enough to beat your flames, we have the birds as music and we can make as much noise as we want.' Toph pressed a wet kiss to his chest and Zuko chuckled.

'What's up with you?' He asked as he kissed the top of her head. 'I…Why're you asking?' She mumbled into his chest. 'Because I know you.' Zuko replied. 'The Toph I'm familiar with is hard on the outside but soft as pie on the inside. She always lets me take control when it comes to the bedroom.'

Zuko brushed a strand of hair out of her face. 'Now the Toph I just had sex with rode me like a horse. That Toph almost broke me and I only see that Toph when she's pissed off. So what's up?' Toph blushed. 'I'm sorry.' She murmured. Zuko squeezed her hips.

'Did I sound like I was complaining?' He asked cheekily. 'I'm just concerned about you.' Toph pressed another kiss to Zuko's chest. 'I heard your sister and her group gossiping about me in the toilets the other day.' She whispered. Zuko's grip on her tightened slightly and she felt his temperature slowly increase.

'What did they say?' Zuko growled out. Toph flinched. 'It's nothing.' She mumbled knowing how Zuko could get like when he was pissed. 'Toph it's better if I hear it from you. I hear it from someone else and I'd lose my mind.' Zuko said lowly. Toph sighed.

'Look they only called me a little blind girl and a junior and someone who wasn't worth having but I know we are together soo-'

Toph cut off. Zuko's body had tensed completely and little beads of sweat had already begun dripping down her body. She sat up suddenly and put her hands to his face. 'Zu? Zuzu? Honey it's okay. I don't really care about it. We're together and that's all I care about.'

Zuko's grip slightly slackened. 'Forget about them. Mai and Azula can rave all they want but I'm with you and I'm fucking you so it doesn't matter. You know this right?' Zuko asked. His voice was all low and husky and Toph's thighs clenched.

'Toph? You know this right? You know I only want you and I'm only with you. You're my little blind earth bender and I will not have it any other way.' Zuko whispered harshly in her ear. Toph let out a little whimper and Zuko looked down at her in surprise. 'Toph are you getting off on this?' He asked, his voice laced with amusement.

Toph only pressed her body against him and pulled his face to meet hers.

'Stay away from Zuko.' Mai hissed at Toph as Toph slammed her locker shut. Toph snorted. 'I'll 'play' with whoever, whenever, wherever I want and there's not a damn thing you can say about it.' She snapped back. Toph could feel Mai's heartbeat accelerate and she readied herself for a fight.

'Whoa. What's going on here?'

Toph felt her guard go down at the sound of Zuko's voice. 'Oh come on Zu. Let them rack it out.' Azula said to her brother as she anticipated a showdown between the two. Zuko ignored his sister and turned to Toph. 'What's this about?' He asked.

'She wants me to stay away from you.' Toph replied. Zuko turned back to Mai. 'Why's that Mai?' He asked in a voice that sounded too innocent to be true. By now a crowd had already gathered round them and tweets and texts were flying out by the second. Some were even recording it.

'I'm not against her. You two just don't fit Zuko.' Mai said to him. 'Yeah and she needs to learn her place.' Azula chipped in. Zuko nodded slowly. 'Okay. Okay.' He said in a slow calm voice before pressing Toph against her locker and kissing her. Azula and Mai stared in shock as Toph's hand fisted in his shirt and their lips battled passionately.

It only lasted for a few seconds before Zuko pulled away from her leaving her gasping for breath. He turned to his sister and ex with an almost crazed look in his eye. 'I'm only going to say this once so everyone listen up. Toph Bei Fong is my girlfriend and I'm crazy about her. So if I hear any words against her or us, you'll have me to answer to and let me assure you, I may look sane on the outside but we Fire citizens have a reputation for ruining everything we touch and I will not hesitate to use it on anyone.'

Zuko faced Mai. 'Anyone.' He said, stressing the word. He turned back to Toph who was panting gently. 'You okay?' He asked. Toph caught her bottom lip in between her teeth. 'I am soo going to let you spank me tonight.' Toph whispered hotly.

'Oh God. Eww.' Azula said with a repressed shudder as she dragged a still shocked Mai away from the scene. Toph giggled softly before Zuko bent towards her and continued their kiss from where they broke off.
