My misfortunate string of events led me to be caught by Lisanna as she tackled me to the ground.

"Argh!"

I carefully dodged every single hit but her speed was truly unmatched as she made a decoy move and distracted me, landing her final blow that went across my face like an uppercut.

The last thing I saw was the face of a merciless demon before my consciousness dimmed and faded away.

Chapter 10~ The Lethal Game of Fools

I was awoken by the sound of rusty chains and the pungent odor of what seemed like a dungeon. My eyes were blindfolded, and obviously my arms and legs were bound tightly to a pole behind me.

"Oh, you finally came back to your senses?" a shrill tone of a lady rang through my head loud and clear.

I couldn't let the words flow out of my mouth and it soon began a one-sided conversation as Lisanna explained her devious schemes.

"Its really simple. Since you saw something you shouldn't have seen today, I'm going to punish you. Simple right? I'm feeling a little generous today so I've borrowed my little toy here from my husband so we could play a little game. Sounds fun doesn't it?"

"Click." The sound of a gun being loaded is heard clearly.

"The rules are simple. 6 chambers, one bullet. We'll take turns pulling the trigger and if it fires, you die." There was her cryptic yet vague explanation of the little 'game' we were about to play.

"Lets do this, Russian style."

"My house, my rules. I go first. Ahahahah!" Her eerie laugh filled the room as it echoed inside my ears.

The muzzle of the revolver is pinned against my forehead as the cylinder is spun. The sound of a single bullet clanks inside the revolver.

"BANG!"

The heat and pressure of the gun is carved on my forehead as she pulled the trigger with no reluctance or hesitation. I was so petrified that I could not move a single limb. The fear inside me felt like it could devour me as a whole and swallow me into an eternal hell.

"Hmph, I see that luck is on your side today."

Clank. The sound of a second bullet entering one of the chambers made my heart pound so wildly that it could practically burst any moment now.

I mustered up all the courage I had left in me and spoke up to her with a weak voice, my tone faltering after every word.

"W-Wait h-hold o-on… Y-You're adding a-another bullet?' My cowering voice finally spoke up.

"Oh, you still can speak after all. This is my house, you play by my rules. The chance of death is now 1 in 3. Doesn't that just make your heart pound?" She replied me in a menacing tone.

This was now a one-sided game of Russian Roulette. I was bound to die.

Chamber after chamber, the trigger was pulled but no bullets were actually fired. The fact that it was now the 6th time symbolizes the arrival of my death.

"BANG!"

Chapter 11~Gratitude is Received by Those Who Deserve

"CRASH!" In an instant, the door was broken down by a swift kick.

"Let her go Lisanna!" a familiar voice with a heroic tone declares my right to be freed.

"Natsu! You selfish ingrate! Is this how you show me your gratitude after all I've done for you?"

"Gratitude is received by those who deserve it."

You really came for me. My savior, my rescuer, my Hero.
