Hey!

So, first, this chapter takes place at dinner, and Alec isn't there cause he is still upset about the thing with Magnus. Poor baby.

This chapter is also very Clace

Anyways, Enjoy!

...

'I don't want this anymore' Simon said, throwing his soda can at Isabelle.

She caught it. 'I don't want it now that you've shook it up'

Isabelle tossed it back to him.

'Sophie' He said as he threw it back

'Lewis' She smiled, sending it sailing back to him.

They played hot potato with the can for a while, before Isabelle finally sat it down and started eating her Mac and Cheese.

Jace, Clary sat down next to them, and started chatting about the upcoming Prom.

Suddenly Jace picked up the soda can. 'Can I have this?' He asked. Simon nodded before thinking about it.

'Wait Jace-' Isabelle started

But it was too late

Jace had popped the top. Soda spewed from the can everywhere. Jace's quick reflects and instincts made him throw the can across the dining hall.

About twenty students got sprayed. They all looked around, surprised.

They knew which direction it had come from, but not from who exactly.

Suddenly, Mash potatoes, spaghetti Bolognese, Beef Stew and many other dinners were thrown in the general direction of the Shadowhunters.

Most of the left side of the hall was hit with flying food.

This, was the beginning of a legendary food fight.

The right side had the advantage. They had the kitchen.

Food was flying everywhere. Isabelle squealed as a handful of Guacamole landed on her chest.

The left side huddled together, talking strategy.

'We need to get into the kitchen, before they realise they even have it' Tyson, a 10th grader said. Jace and Clary smiled. 'I think we can do that' They said.

Tyson nodded. 'That's your job then. Everyone else, grab food and FIGHT!'

The huddle dispatched, everyone scrambling for the closest tray packed with food.

While everyone was grabbing food, Jace and Clary drew quick invisibilty runes.

'Ready?' Clary said, walking backwards away from Jace.

Jace grinned. 'Ready.'

Clary ran and stepped into Jaces cupped hands. He boosted her upwards, and she caught onto the roof suspension beams. (A/N Not sure ifs its called roof suspension. Oh well)

She hooked her legs around the beam, and swung her lower hands down so Jace could grab them. He climbed up and grabbed onto the bar as well.

'Part 1, achieved.' Jace smirked, looking down at the chaos.

They shimmied along the bar, over the right side of the hall, and dropped down just in front of the closed kitchen. Jace drew an opening rune, and they slipped inside.

Clary looked around the store-room. 'Look, Jace-' She turned around to where Jace was putting Nutella war paint on his face.

Clary glared at him.

'What?' He asked defensively.

Clary decided to ignore his face paint. 'I think we should each take a watermelon, and bomb them from the suspension beams.'

Jace nodded 'Good idea' He grabbed a watermelon and shoved it up his top.

'Jace' Clary said, pretending to be shocked. 'Why did you not tell me you were pregnant!'

Jace hugged the watermelon. 'I was...waiting till the right time'

Clary giggled, and grabbed a watermelon for herself.

They climbed back onto the beam (with some difficulty)

'Invisibilty off?' Clary asked

Jace nodded, and they both became visible.

'Whose bombing first?' She asked.

Jace grinned. 'BOMBS AWAY' He shouted, and dropped the watermelon.

Everyone just had time to scream and jump back before the watermelon exploded and flew everywhere.

Clary then threw the other one, aiming it perfectly so that everyone who didn't get hit before, got hit now.

They had successfully ended the fight. Everyone had run out of food. Both sides were mixed together now, chatting with their friends.

Clary and Jace swung off the beams and everyone surrounded to congratulation them on the watermelons, when three angry-looking teachers stormed in.

Clary looked at Jace as students started flooding the exits. The teachers couldn't catch them all. it was every man for themselves now.

'Run?' She asked. Jace grabbed her hand. 'Run.' He agreed.

...

Simon ran his hands through his hair, pulling out spaghetti. 'I think I need a shower' He told Jace as they made their way back to their room.

Jace nodded. 'defiantly, You smell horrible. Oh, your also covered in food.'

Simon smiled and rolled his eyes. Jace unlocked the door and flicked on the lights, stopping dead in his tracks.

Magnus sat in the wheely chair, his feet kicked up on Alec's desk.

'Why are you covered in mashed potato?' He asked Simon, who looked down at his shirt.

'Oh. I didn't even notice that'

Magnus scoffed.

'What are you doing here Magnus' Jace asked, crossing his arms.

'I need your help. Both of you'

'Why would we help you? You broke Alec's heart.' Jace said, flopping himself down into an armchair.

At the mention of Alec, Magnus sat up, suddenly alert. 'How is he? Is he ok?'

'Why would you care?' Simon said, sitting down on the edge of the bed.

'Look, I made a mistake-' Magnus started, but Jace cut him off.

'Yeah. We know you made a mistake. You lost Alec. You made it look like you were cheating on him. I don't know why, and I don't want to know. Get out Magnus'

'Just listen to me' Magnus asked.

Simon crossed his arms. 'Why should we?'

'Because I need Alec to trust me again' Magnus said, almost desperately.

'So you can stab him in the back again? I dont think so'

'Please' Magnus begged.

Jace looked at his wrist. 'Thirty seconds'

Magnus raised an eyebrow 'Your not even wearing a watch'

Jace looked at him 'Twenty Five seconds.'

Magnus reached into the pocket of his leather jacket and pulled out a small velvet box. He threw it at Jace.

'Open it' Magnus said, kicking his feet back onto the table.

Jace popped it open. Inside was a silver platinum ring. Jace scrunched his eyebrows together. 'Whats this?' He asked as Simon came over to look as well.

'Look at the inside of the ring' Magnus said.

Jace picked it up. Inside the ring, it said. 'Be my forever, Alec Lightwood'

suddenly Simon clicked. 'Oh my god. You were going to propose?'

'Dont tell me I dont love Alec' was all Magnus said

'Why dont you just propose to him now. Fix everything' Jace said, placing the ring back in the box and tossing it back to Magnus.

'I cant. He doesn't trust me anymore. That's why I need you two to help me.'

'Help you with what, exactly?' Simon asked.

Magnus smiled. 'I have a plan'

...

Jace hooked his leather jacket up onto the jacket hook and snuggled into the double bed.

Clary turned around. 'Jace' she whispered. 'What are you doing?'

'I havent seen you since the food fight' he said. 'And I have stuff to tell you'

'Jace, if you get caught in here-' Clary started, but Jace kissed her forehead 'Dont worry. I wont get caught.'

Clary sighed. 'Fine. You can stay. But I'm tired' She turned back over, and Jace wrapped his arms around her waist.

'Anyway, when me and Simon got back to the room-' Jace started, but he was cut off at a sharp knock at the door.

Clary sat up. 'Jaces whats the time' she asked urgently.

He rolled over and looked at the clock. '9:17'

suddenly Clary pushed him out of the bed.

'Hey!' He protested.

'Get under the bed!' She said desperately.

Jace gave her a weird look, before he rolled under the bed, and the door burst open.

A light switch was turned on, blinding Clary momentarily.

Isabelle and Charlotte groaned at the light being turned on.

Clary squinted up at the blurry figure. 'Hello?' She mumbled, hoping she sounded sleepy and that Jace would stay silent.

'I got an anonymous tip-off that there was a boy seen coming into this room not long ago' The teacher, Mrs Knotts, said

Charlotte and Isabelle looked confused, until Isabelle met Clary's eyes.

'Theres no one here' Isabelle complained. 'We are just trying to sleep'

'Ill be the judge of whether there anyone here or not' Mrs Knotts said, snooping around the room.

She opened the cupboard door, but there was no one in there.

It was only a matter of time until she looked under the bed.

Clarys only hope was that Jace was thinking the same as she was thinking.

Mrs Knotts looked underneath Isabelle's bed, and then under Charlotte's bed.

She turned and looked at Clary, who stared just as menacingly back.

'Now' She grinned. 'Your turn'

Mrs Knotts bent down and pull up the edge of the bed cover. She didn't make any noise for a few moments, but then she huffed in frustration and got up.

'Find anyone?' Isabelle asked innocently

Mrs Knotts grinded her teeth, but didn't say a word as she closed the door behind her.

Isabelle looked at Clary. 'Where is he?'

Charlotte, obviously bored, turned and rolled over, and Jace appeared next to Clary.

'invisibility?' Isabelle mouthed. Jace nodded.

Clary whispered something in Jaces ear.

He got up, gave Clary a kiss, flicked the light off, and left the room, via the window.
