Soul, Black Star, and Maka had just arrived back at the scythe's home when the phone rang. Giving a sigh, Soul picked the phone up.

"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN, AND WHERE THE HELL IS MY MAKA SOUL, YOU'D BETTER NOT LET ANYTHING HAPPEN TO HER OR I'LL-"

"Calm down, you old fart. Maka's right next to me now, so don't worry. And don't come here. Bye." With that Soul hung up on Spirt, the current death scythe that Lord Death uses.

Maka was looking up at him once he put the phone down, almost as if she was asking him who was calling. "It was your old man, don't worry." And with that, he grabbed Black Star and dragged him into the kitchen.

"Mew." The blonde cat answered, her eyes going back and forth from him to Black Star.

Oh, right, I forget about him... "Yo Black Star, party's over. Get out." The young weapon boy told his meister friend.

Black Star looked at him, gave a yawn, and walked over to Maka's room before laying down on her bed. Snores soon filled the apartment.

The cat and the still-awake boy looked at each other, then blinked.

"Meew..?" Maka asked in her caty way.

Soul shook his head in response, having no answer to give her. He'd call Tsubaki later to pick him up.

Not wanting anymore stress this afternoon, Soul decided to put one of the books from Maka's room on the table, along with a modified cat toy, the one next to a pile of books, (Soul made it with Ox so Maka could turn the pages. Not sure how else to explain it.) and went to his room for a relaxing nap. Glad she's back... Maka really scared me today, with her running away. Wonder why she did that, I thought she didn't want people to know about her condition? Weird girl.

And with that, he was asleep.

(Back at Crona's apartment)

The pink haired boy sniffled as a gray tomcat rubbed against his leg. "W-Why'd Soul have to be so mean..? I don't know how to deal with it!" He yelled into the mostly-empty room.

"S-Stop being such a crybaby! You're making me sad too now that my kitty is gone!" Ragnarok yelled at his meister while rubbing his eyes, which where threatening to fill with tears. He hit one of his cartoonishly large hand atop of Crona's head weakly.

"Ragnarok, y-you're so mean, don't h-hit me when I'm crying!" Crona yelled back at him.

The cat, Jake, just stared at them (him?) for the moment, not sure what to do. Should he run away and try to find Maka again, or should he stay here and comfort this boy and his... Blood? So many questions, not enough time.

So, while they were arguing, Jake simply walked out the still-open door. He then walked out of the apartment building, and no one stopped him. He was a cat on a mission, and no one in their right mind would stop him right now.

Hey everyone, May here! I am SO FREAKING SORRY that I haven't updated in so long, school got me really busy. I will be updating more in the future, as much as I can. I have a busy summer, so I might not be around as much then. And I love constructive criticism, so thank you :) And, last but not least, I will be interducing more characters in the upcoming chapters, so stay tuned or whatever you're suppose to say for fanfictions! Later!
