Kalos, Reunion and Romance!
Mega Evolution, a new form of Pokémon evolution that has spread through the Kalos region. I ask you this is Mega Evolution possibly mean to test the true bond of humans and Pokémon alike? Can Mega Evolution happen to all Pokémon? Apart from the fact that it unleashes Pokémon's hidden power, changing their appearance to look much stronger and brave, we still don't know that much about Mega Evolution.
Chapter Ten: Strongest Mega Evolution Part 1!
Somewhere in Kalos (1:30 p.m.)
"Show me your strongest Pokémon" said Alan.
"Absol come on out!" said Astrid.
"Charizard, show them your true strength!" shouted Alan.
"My name is Astrid and I see that your Charizard has a Mega Stone on him"
"The name is Alan and I'm on a journey collecting Mega Stones and also trying to defeat every single Mega Evolution that there is known to existence" said Alan.
"Well let's get the battle started, Absol use Mega Horn!" shouted Astrid.
"Charizard, Dragon Claw!"
Both Pokémon's attack collided with each other and both got knock back near their trainers.
"Your Absol is stronge, but let's get serious this time" said Alan while holding his mega ring up front.
"Okay, I'll show you" Astrid said when touching her key stone on her ear.
As soon as Astrid activated her key stone, both Absol's mega stone and Astrid's key stone are both resonating energy to one another.
"Absol, Mega Evolve!" shouted Astrid.
Absol begins to glow brightly and its body is changing as Absol is going through Mega Evolution.
Absol is now fully mega evolved into Mega Absol.
"What do you think of Mega Absol?" said Astrid.
"I've never seen the Mega Evolution form of Absol before and it looks very strong" said Alan.
"Show me if you're serious too" said Astrid.
"Respond to my heart, Key Stone! Mega Evolve, Charizard!" shouted Alan while raising his mega ring up high.
Charizard body began to glow blue as it is mega evolving too.
Charizard let out a huge roar once it has finish mega evolving.
"Well what do you think?" Alan question Astrid.
"The black and blue body looks very cool" said Astrid.
"Thank you and now let's get back to our battle. Now Charizard use Steel Wing!" said Alan.
"Absol, counter it with Megahorn!" shouted Astrid.
As both the mega Pokémon attacks collided again, their powers are very strong that it causes the surrounding area to shake a lot. Meanwhile a young girl with a Chespin is hopping across a river on rocks and soon she felt the small tremor, she falls into the water.
"What was that?" said the young trainer.
"Ches Ches Chespin" said the grass type while running towards the source of the tremor.
"Hey wait up AWWH!" she screamed while falling onto the water.
Her Chespin then helps her out to get up and later they found Alan and Astrid in a middle of a battle.
"What are those Pokémon?" said the young girl.
"Chespin?"
"The one to the right looks like a Charizard of a different color but its body looks different and that Absol has wings on its back" The girl whispered.
"Dragon Claw!" shouted Alan.
"Dodge it Absol!" shouted Astrid.
Charizard already lands the hit before Absol could make a move and the Disaster Pokémon is knock a few yards back behind Astrid.
"I can't believe the power it has" said Astrid.
"Flamethrower!" said Alan.
Charizard unleashes its powerful Flamethrower attack on Absol and cause critical damage to the Dark type.
"Good job enduring that Flamethrower attack, Absol. Now use Dark Pulse!" said Astrid.
Absol quickly recovered and dashes forwards and jump into the air for a Dark Pulse attack.
"Blast Burn!" shouted Alan.
Dark Pulse was counter and Charizard uses its full strength and unleash the Blast Burn attack and knocks out Absol from battle.
"Absol!" Astrid shouted.
Absol turns back to its normal form and same for Charizard since they are done battling.
"That was excellent Charizard" said Alan while gently rubbing Charizard's neck.
"Charizard and Absol transformed?" said the young trainer in surprise.
"Chesss!"
"You fought well Absol and thank you" said Astrid.
"We should battle sometime soon and here take this Oran Berry for your Absol" said Alan.
"Thank you and that was a great battle" said Astrid.
"Indeed and with this Charizard by my side, we'll defeat every single Mega Evolution Pokémon that exists throughout the Kalos region and stand on the top" said Alan.
Moments later after Alan's battle against Astrid and her Absol, Alan and his Charizard are resting at near a small river.
"Mega Absol put up quite a bit of a battle, it was well raised. Here Charizard" said Alan while tossing a snack at Charizard.
Charizard catches it with its mouth and eats it.
"I know you're behind there, might as well just come out" said Alan.
"Uhh Hi there" said the young trainer with the Chespin.
"Chespin!"
"Anything you want?" question Alan.
"It's that ummm… I watch you battle against that Absol with your Charizard and I was shocked when it look different with a different color" said the young girl.
"You want to battle us?" said Alan.
"No, No, that's impossible! Me and Chespie just set off in our journey not to long ago and there's no way we can battle you like that" said the trainer.
"Seems like a new trainer, Charizard" said Alan.
"Rawr" said Charizard.
"My name is Mairin and this little one is Chespie, the Chespin. I just got it from Professor Sycamore's lab just awhile back" said Mairin.
Alan is surprise that Mairin's Chespin is from Professor Sycamore's lab.
"Oh I'll tell you a nice story that Professor Sycamore told me when I left Lumiose City. There's an amazing trainer that Professor Sycamore told me about. Some time ago a Garchomp from his lab went on a rampage in Lumiose City" said Mairin.
"Garchomp…" said Alan.
"You didn't know? It was a huge incident! And see a trainer name Ash Ketchum, the person who helped Garchomp, he was really amazing! When a girl fell from the top of Lumiose's Prism Tower, he jump right after her! You can't do that unless you trust each other and a Blaziken came in and save them but Blaziken look very different though" said Mairin.
With Manon mentioning Blaziken with a different look, this caught Alan's attention to Manon "A Blaziken with a different look huh? Maybe Blaziken can mega evolve too" said Alan in his thoughts.
"Ash Ketchum huh? I have heard of him too but I never heard about the incident at Lumiose City yet" said Alan.
"By the way, what is your name mister?" said Mairin.
"Alan, right now I am traveling with my Charizard to battle every single Mega Evolution that exists and win"
"Hey, hey, does Mega Evolution mean evolution? Do you mean that black and blue Charizard was its Mega Evolution?" Mairin questions Alan.
"Uhh… yeah, that was Mega Charizard" said Alan.
"That's amazing, I have no idea there was an evolution like that! Exciting isn't it Chespie?" said Mairin.
"Chespin!" The Grass type nodded in agreement.
"Hey, can Chespie become like that, too?" said Mairin.
"Who knows, it's not like I know everything about Mega Evolution" said Alan while looking at his mega ring when having a flashback.
"Two stones seem to have a strong connection to Mega Evolution" said Professor Sycamore.
"Two stones?" said Alan.
"One held by the trainer and the other to the Pokémon, when the two stones resonate, the Pokémon temporarily attains great power" said Professor Sycamore.
As both Sycamore and Alan walk to the Pokémon garden in the research building, Alan begins to question more about Mega Evolution.
"Where does the power come from and is it given to humans?" said Alan.
"No, it's the Pokémon's own power. Humans only draw out the power using the stone, that's all. I believe it's the strong bond between human and Pokémon which allows this phenomenon to happen" said the Professor.
"A strong bond huh? Does Mega Evolution only come to existences through humans?" question Alan.
"Yes. That said there are many mysterious. It was an established theory that Pokémon can't turned back to their previous forms once they evolve. However, Mega Evolution overthrows that theory. They return back to normal" says the Professor while petting a Scatterbug. "Another question is why it only occurs during battles. According to the information in our possession, there are cases of Pokémon changing their types and abilities upon Mega Evolving"
A lab Garchomp then glides towards the two.
Alan is petting the Garchomp while saying "If their types and abilities change, releasing the power might place a burden on the Pokémon. Is that why it only happens during a battle?"
"That's a possibility" said the Professor.
A little Charmander passes by and rubs its head against Alan's leg.
"Either way, we don't have enough samples" said Professor Sycamore.
"You're right" said Alan while petting the little Charmander below. "I wonder how things are in the other regions"
"So far, all reported cases happened here in the Kalos region" said Professor Sycamore.
"Char Charmander"
"There, there little one" Alan said while petting the Fire type. "The Pokémon might be trying to tell us something through Mega Evolution"
"That's exactly the topic of my research. As someone researching Pokémon in Kalos, it's something I don't think I can avoid looking into" said the Professor.
Alan then gets up with him holding Charmander and says "I'll look for the stones Professor"
"Do you want to set off on a journey?" The Professor questions Alan.
"It's okay, right, Professor?" said Alan.
"Uhh… yes, but report to me on a regular basis" said the Professor.
"I will" said Alan.
End of Flashback
"Umm are you there Alan?" said Mairin.
"I was thinking back" said Alan as he stands up.
"Back to what?" said Mairin.
"Professor Sycamore" said Alan.
"Huh?"
"I used to be the professor's assistant" said Alan.
"Really? But why are you traveling if you're the professor assistant?" Mairin question him.
"About that…" said Alan.
"Huh? Why? Why?" said Mairin.
"It's none of your business and I have something to get, Charizard return!" said Alan as he recalls his Charizard back to its Pokémon.
Alan leaves and Mairin says to him "Wait! I still have some questions..." she said but Alan is keep walking away from her.
Later Alan finds a temple in a forest and enters it and finds something on a wall in front of him. His key stone is resonating energy, telling Alan that the object in front of him is a Mega Stone. Alan collects the Mega Stone and later sees Manon and her Chespin, Chespie. Waiting outside for him.
"I knew you went insider here" said Mairin.
"You're still following me?" said Alan in a rude manner.
"HEY!" shouted a man on top of the temple. "That's a Mega Stone, right?"
The man on top of the temple jumps off the temple and lands on ground level.
"I was told to bring that Mega Stone in as well" said the strange person.
Alan hides the Mega Stone in his pocket and tells Manon and Chesp to hide behind cover.
"Why don't we battle over for that Mega Stone? My name is Remo, the great Dragon trainer and here is my partner, Garchoo" said Remo while throwing his Pokéball into the air and calls out his Garchomp.
"Charizard come on out and let's show them real battle" said Alan.
"Seems we are both Mega Evolution trainers, now let's see who will win the Mega Stone that I said. But with my dragon type, we'll definitely win" said Remo.
"My Charizard here is a Dragon type too" said Alan.
"HAHAHA! What kind of amateur are you? Charizard is not a Dragon type" said Remo.
"Who's the amateur here? Well then, time to battle Charizard! Release your true power and mega evolve!" Alan said while activating his key stone. "Charizard, Mega Evolve!"
Both the key stone and mega stone are resonating energy from each other.
Charizard is now fully mega evolved and it's ready to battle.
"GARCHOO! Mega Evolve!" said Remo while opening his umbrella to activate his key stone.
"GAARH!"
Garchoo now have surpassed mega evolution.
"GARCHOO, DRAGON RUSH!" yelled Remo.
Mega Garchomp closes into Mega Charizard X with Dragon Rush but Charizard just blocks the attack and flies up, making the Garchomp fly towards a stone wall.
"Charizard, Flamethrower!" shouted Alan.
Garchoo recovers and flies towards Charizard.
"All right! There's more, Dual Chop, Garchoo!"
Charizard dodges Garchoo's Dual Chop.
"Dragon Claw!"
Charizard counters Dual Chop with Dragon Claw. Both Dragon type Pokémon are having an aerial battle and they their Dragon Claw and Dual Chop attacks collided once more, both Pokémon crash to the ground and they are both standing very exhausted, staring at each other. Garchoo falls to the ground and reverts back to its normal form.
"Garchoo…" Louis said while helping his Garchomp up.
"Well done Charizard. Remember this, when Charizard mega evolves, it became a Fire and Dragon type" said Alan.
"Amazing, he won" said Mairin.
"Chespiiin!"
Alan than leaves to rest at a nearby town with Pokémon Center, along the way, Mairin and Chespie followed Alan and while walking for a short amount of time, Mairin caught a Flabébe and named it Bébé, thanks with the help of Chespie. When Alan left Mairin and Chespie behind the Pokémon Center, he later meets Siebold, the Elite Four member of the Kalos League. Siebold offered a battle against Alan and he accepts the invitation.
Both trainers meet at a stadium with their Charizard and Blastoise out for battle.
"Excuse me, but you're using a Fire type against me, a Water type trainer?" said Siebold.
"Ah yes I know, but I want to be the strongest trainer with my Charizard only. Whatever type I will be up against will be fine with me, I trust my Charizard. Now respond to my heart, Key Stone! Mega Evolve Charizard!" shouted Alan.
Charizard mega evolved into Mega Charizard X.
Siebold grabs his bow tie, which has a key stone in it and activates it to mega evolve his Blastoise into Mega Blastoise.
"Now let's start this battle, you may have the first move, Alan" said Siebold.
"Thank you, Dragon Claw!" shouted Alan.
Mega Charizard's claws glow green and flies towards Mega Blastoise with Dragon Claw.
"Rapid fire with Hydro Pump!" shouted Siebold.
Blastoise launches multiple Hydro Pumps at Charizard but missed them all.
"Skull Bash, Blastoise!"
Both mega Pokémon collided and Charizard got knock back the most.
"Its speed and power are exquisite. What an excellent texture" said Siebold.
"It's time for the main dish to get serve" said Alan.
"You're right, now Blastoise use Dragon Pulse!"
All three cannons of Blastoise shot straight at Charizard and hits the ground very hard.
"Mega Blastoise's ability is Mega Launcher, the power of pulse move increases compared to when it was Blastoise. Could you taste it? Moreover, we shall let you experience the water power of Mega Evolution. Blastoise, Hydro Pump!" said Siebold.
Charizard takes a direct hit from full power of Hydro Pump from a mega Pokémon.
"Charge!" shouted Alan.
Charizard manages to fly through Mega Blastoise's Hydro Pump attack.
"Power-Up Punch!" Siebold commanded Blastoise.
"Flamethrower!"
Both attacks collide which made both mega Pokémon get knock back a lot.
Charizard charges towards Blastoise with full speed and used Dragon Claw on Blastoise.
"Let's finish this Blastoise, Dragon Pulse!" said Siebold.
Blastoise launches a powerful Dragon Pulse attack on Charizard and completely knocks it out from battle.
"Charizard!" said Alan as walks up to his Pokémon and helps it to get up. "You did great, we're no match against an Elite Four member yet"
"Charizard was very powerful to corner us even with us a type disadvantage. That was excellent" said Siebold.
As Alan leaves on his journey to find more mega stones and battle against more mega Pokémon, Mairin and Chespie manage to catch up with Alan.
"Wait, Alan, WAAAH!" Mairin scream as she trips and falls to the ground.
"Chespin!"
"Give it a rest already" said Alan.
"No, no, I will definitely mega evolve too, you know" said Mairin.
"The one evolving won't be you, but your Pokémon" said Alan.
"I know that! I'll search for mega stones too and if I am with you, I'll find some for sure, right?" said Mairin.
"Do as you please" said Alan as he walks away.
"Uhh hey wait up" said Mairin as she trips again.
The number of Pokémon able to mega evolve increase more and more. Unknown Mega Evolution, awaken! And fill this world with powerful might!
"How will this great power called Mega Evolution influence humans and Pokémon alike? Alan, let's solve the mystery of Mega Evolution!" Professor Sycamore's word echoes through Alan's mind.
Just what dangers lies ahead Alan and Ash ahead? Will their paths meet someday? And who are the mysterious group of people that are affiliated with the menacing Malamar that Ash and friends have encounter? Stay tuned as a new to the Kalos region, no the whole Pokémon world, emerges soon enough!
