Third Person's View
The Justice Department was still trying to make their way into the arena. But everyone was still glued to the fight between Finn the human and the psychic Gary. Finn's body was already beat and his Chi was close to nothing. Inhaling Finn held his breath and held his sword in a straight angle. Using his Chi Finn sent three slashed at Gary. But an unseen wall stopped them from connecting. Going into a charge Finn needed to use a desperate idea to end the fight. Gary laughed at Finn simply using his powers to swat away Finn causing him to hit a smashed car.
Lying on his back Finn's sword was lying just within his reach. Gary, "Man I should have killed Fali earlier it would have given us a better fight". Using his power Finn's body lifted off the ground and the Gary began to stretch almost. But Finn began to groan and cough blood as if his chest was in splitting open. Finn shouted at Gary, "Got you"! Kicking the side of Gary's face Finn used his foot to hook his neck then bring them into a roll. Using both his feet Finn kicked Gary into a wall and wasn't letting up on his attack. Finn sent a few punches into Gary's ribs to have Gary try to force him back with his powers.
Stunned for a moment Finn went into a dash and hid behind a boulder. Pulling something from his pocket Finn used his Slowhaler and focused his mind. With his thoughts clear Finn stood and used his Mist speed. Gary was confused one moment Finn was running at him like he normally would. Only to morph into a warped cloud of colors. Grabbing his sword Finn easily slipped past Gary's powers. Slashing at him and causing the psychic great pain using the end of his sword Finn smashed upward into Gary's face.
Purple blood came loss from his wounded eye socket Gary was almost staggering. Finn didn't have long Gary used his power to smashed the ground and recalled his trident. Earlier in their fight Finn had managed to knock it loss from the thug. Going into a ground roll Finn slashed upward from Gary's hip to his upper ribcage. Locking Gary into a chokehold Finn threw Gary to the ground. With his time up Finn reappeared standing over Gary. Using his powers he threw Finn into a cars hood causing him to have to use it to steady him self. Regaining him composure Finn was shocked at Gary who was standing with a smile.
Finn noticed that there were shadows hovering over him. Looking up Finn saw the various debris from around the arena. Finn was too tried to react the debris smashed him into the ground and causing him to exhale a breath of pain. Everyone was left shaken as Gary levitated his trident and sent his energy into it. Giving it a push the trident smashed into the rubble causing the ground to shake collapse in on its self. Gary laughed even though he was pretty beaten he still shouted his victory.
Gary, "HA I did I killed Finn Champion my ass… that right suck my…" Gary was cut off as his own trident fellow throw the air and hit his leg. Gary voiced his pain to look up as Finn walked out of the dissipating smoke. Finn's monoglasses were slightly cracked and his armor was beat to hell. But he walked to Gary calmly focused on killing him. Gary's aim was off as he tried to hit Finn with his powers. Finn merely sidestepped the attacks, Gary's own adrenaline was affecting his focus. Throwing more debris at Finn to keep him away was useless. Finn sliced through every rock, piece of metal, and random wooden door that came his way.
Using what Chi he had left Finn sent a punch straight into Gary's neck. Stunned Finn leapt over the obstacles Gary tried to hide behind. Gary was shocked Finn still had enough strength to move like that. Using a reverse back kick Finn heard the crack in Gary's shoulder to then slice clean through one of Gary's legs. Tumbling into a wall Gary was shocked at the solemn look on Finn's face. Finn placed his blades back to his forearm and pressed the blade to Gary's neck. The only thing keeping Finn's blade from connecting was Gary's powers. Gary's eyes were filled with fear trying his best to look away.
Finn, "HEY look at me bitch! Now imaging my sword taking off your head". Slowly Gary's powers gave and Finn's blade cut into Gary's flesh like a knife to butter. With the blood from Gary's neck running down Scarlet's fuller and most of its owners body. Finn backed away and let his enemy's lifeless body fall to the ground. Finn pulled Gary's trident free and walked to find Fali's body. Once he found the dead mans body he took the ring from his hand and made his way to the exit. Inspector Stan and the Officers were still trying to get inside. Finn simply told them to back away. Focusing his last ounces of remaining Chi into his fists Finn punched the door as much as he could to pry open the exit.
Once on the other side Inspector Stan and the Officers circled Finn to escort him to an awaiting car. Once inside the car Stan took the wheel and drove to the closet Officers outpost.
Finn's View
"I'm going to have to ask the Smith in the city to help fix my gear". Looking around the Officers with Stan was still speechless as was everyone else. The medic was quick because she needed to focus on stitching my wounds. The major wounded were along my arms and some of my back. My ankle was a little messed up but I could manage. Stan, "Shit when you said you were the last of a certain species Finn I never thought you meant you were the last human. Shit… sorry kid". "I'm no kid I'm a warrior Stan… With one job to fight and kill the same enemies that I just fought. The higher ups know this and want the same.
"They just want the criminals to see more of me and fear me more. But like you saw using the skill like I just used I'll be fine". With the medic finished helping me I took a few painkillers and waited for Jake. Some time later he came and we went home. As we got inside Jermaine was sitting with Lady. Lady's face said she was both happy and sad to see me. Jermaine's face showed disproval even as he spoke, "Jake I told you this would happen. Now all of OOO is talking about Finn being a human and the Academy is their main target. Now I'm sorry but Finn can't attend the academy any longer". "Jake I know you and Lady want the best but this comes with the job. The hero has a single job be the idea, the leader, or the sacrifice and I don't the other.
"Lady tell headmaster Simon I can no longer attend classes". Lady's face showed how sad she was she really did like the surprise I gave her during one of her classes. But right now all of OOO knows that I'm human and anyone close to me is a target for the Bosses of the criminal underworld to us against me.
Marshall's View
This isn't good my mom Hunzel Abadeer and the Chief of the Justice Department were in headmaster Simon's office. Sure the Chief and my mom were old friends but why were they here? Word that Finn had to stop attending the academy got around. It was understandable the criminal underworld had it out for Finn and they proved during the Struggle tournament that nothing would stop them. Finn had to fight the bad guys it's his job as OOO's champion. But still for him to be so young and have so much responsibility. As I looked out the window my mom was walking with Lady, and the Chief.
To mine and everyone else's surprise Finn was riding a hover board. As he came to a stop in front of the three adults he was still wearing his single lens sunglasses and a new blue and yellow sweat suite. Opening the window we listen in my mom smiled saying, "Well this is a surprise when Chief Franklin said you were young I didn't think he meant handsome too". Finn, "You must be Mrs. Abadeer mother of Marshall Lee and Marceline. Its good to see you again Chief Franklin, Lady Jake wanted me to tell you to meet him at the movies for your date". Lady nodded an flew back into the academy as the Chief and my mom stayed with Finn.
Chef Franklin, "Finn the Justice advisers and I agree you will continue to attended the academy. I'll have more Officers patrol the area. Also a few Officers will be stationed here to keep the peace. Finn OOO needs you yes but like I told you we need you to have a proper education to work with us. I know your questioning the point in the long run but trust me when I say it will help you". Finn looked at the Chief then to my mom to say, "Fine but Chief you'll have to explain you're self to my brother Jermaine. For now I'll just go relax".
Finn walked into the academy as my mom chuckled and left through a portal to the Night-O-Sphere. After class I rush to the clubroom hoping that I made it there before anyone else.
Flame Princess's View
I heard the news that Finn had come back to the school so I was racing to get to the clubroom. As I turned on the stairwell someone grabbed me. Looking at my aggressor I saw it was Finn. Letting go of my arms I looked into his sunglasses to say, "Finn I'm glad you're ok… I'm sure you want your necklace back now". Nodding his head I pulled the strange stone necklace from my bag. Unlocking it he placed it back around his neck for the first time he smiled.
"Finn please I didn't…" Finn, "It's ok Flame princess I understand. I just want to get these years over with and not cause any harm to the students here. I've gotten you involved by causing Marceline to use you". Finn stepped back from me and took a knee saying, "Flame princess please I ask for your forgiveness for bringing you into my crazy life". Shaking my head at how silly he was being I said, "Its ok Finn but I still need your help with math those dang fraction equations are killing me". Finn, "Ok I'll help you so shall we head to the roof"? "Sorry but I have to head home early but if you can come with me it will be easier".
Giving a small bow he said, "I am at your command princess". Following close behind me we made our way to the Fire kingdom. Getting on his hover board we traveled to the borders and he hid his board. Finn, "I haven't found a way to fire proof all of my belongings. For now I'm the only thing fire resistant". Smiling at him we started to walk to the palace. Finn was barely looking around which got me curious. "Finn most people would be awestruck to walk around the Fire kingdom. Why aren't you"? Finn, "My master taught me to be resistant to the various elements around OOO by actually training there. At one point I actually swam in lava for a good few minutes".
I was surprised at his skills even more, even felt my face become slightly hotter. Walking into the palace we were welcomed by the servants and their looks of amazement. Word of Finn's skill and identity was now in almost every home. Getting into the throne room my mom smiled at me to then look at Finn with a grin. Finn, "Hello Queen of Flames I hope you don't mind but I accompanied your daughter to help her with her math problems. I hope it is ok with you". My mother shook her head with a hint of satisfaction to say, "Daughter if I had know you were going to bring such an important guest I would have had the servants set the fine silver ware".
"Mother please you're embarrassing me. Please send up some hot sizzler seeds, tea, and cookies ok". We left without receiving an answer. Making it to my room Finn went to sit on a pillow by my small table. But it was odd he took off his shoes before he entered my room. Finn even sat odd he sat with both his legs under him. Finn, "Shall we get started"? Taking a set next to him we started to work out the different problems for my upcoming test. After eating the snacks and solving a good portion of the problems I looked at Finn in a whole new light.
The mysteries that surrounded him were ever growing and I just wanted to know what was behind all whole battle-hardened stare. "Finn can you look here"? As he turned I stared right into his sunglasses slowly I lifted my hands to touch his glasses. Pulling them off gently I got and even bigger surprise. Finn's eyes were as bright and as clear as the gentle blue sky. "Finn why do you hid"? Turning his head slightly he placed his sunglasses back on to say, "Flame princess please don't I really can't get attached to people. Every time I do they get hurt… I have a small number of friends and family for a reason. Please lets keep this professional and finish". I couldn't help but feel my fire dim slightly at his words.
But he's right his life was under constant attack he wasn't even safe in his own home probably. Sighing I got to work on the math problems and when we were done. I walked with him to the door. Finn, "Flame Queen I thank you for the hospitality and hope for the great years under your rule". Nodding as he left I turned to my mother to see the grin on her face. Mother, "Daughter I can feel your fire grow with joy for the Champion. Why didn't you advance and capture his fire"? "I can't mother his life has caused him too much pain already. I have to ease him into the idea of letting others into his life. But I have hope and I know Glob will help me". 'Finn your eyes showed me that deep down you're asking for one more chance to find happiness. I will be the fire that brings warmth back to your heart'.
Smiles; Badass and so touching I like it!
Jester; Down Smiles last thing we need is another dog running around happy as hell. Spikes the only dog in this house remember. *Spike barks at Smiles as he sits near Jesters leg*.
