On the road, 5:40pm...

Clyde was being driven by his Dads to Haiku's house first to pick her up. As this was going on, Howard, who was in the passenger seat at the time, decided to start up a conversation with his excited and yet at the same time, very nervous, only son.

Howard: "You feeling okay, Clyde? You don't feel so good."

Clyde: "I'm fine Dad, I'm just excited but at the same time, I'm also really nervous about my upcoming date with Haiku and Penelope soon. What if I do something wrong? What if I say something wrong? What if I show favoritism towards one of them and make the other one feel bad? What if I make a fool of myself and embarrass them just because their with me? What if-"

Clyde was cut off when Howard gently put his hands on his son's shoulders.

Howard: "Clyde, you're spiraling again, now just take a few deep breaths and calm down.

Listening to him, Clyde slowly a deep breath and exhale before repeating the process five more times before finally calming down.

Clyde: "I'm okay now, thanks Dad."

Howard: "(Ruffles Clyde's hair) You're welcome Clyde."

A few seconds passed before Clyde's other Dad Harold, asked Clyde a question.

Harold: "Hey Clyde, you want me and Howie to give a few pointers before your date with Penelope and Haiku soon?"

Clyde: "Sure, I want my date with them to be successful."

Harold: "Okay, first things first. When you get to the restaurant, remember to open the door for them because it's always polite to open the door for ladies. Because you know what they say "Ladies first.""

Clyde: "Okay, I got it."

Howard: "Also when you get inside and you're going to your table, remember to pull out Penelope and Haiku's chairs first."

Clyde: "Alright, I'll be sure to remember that."

Harold: "Good, now for conversation, ask questions about their home life, things they like or don't like, but if it gets uncomfortable for either one or both of them, back out and talk about something else."

Clyde: "Ok, I'll try to remember that."

Howard: "Make sure you compliment them on there looks and the things they say."

Clyde: "I'll try my best."

Howard put one of his hands on Clyde's shoulder and Harold who was still driving put one of hands on his son's other shoulder.

Harold: "But most importantly Clyde..."

Harold and Howard: "Be yourself."

Hearing this, Clyde nodded and hugged his Dads.

Clyde: "Alright I'll do my best. Thanks Dads."

Howard: "We're just happy and love to help our only son is all."

Suddenly, Harold saw something or more accurately, someone in the distance. Curiously, he slowed down to see what or it is. To his suprise, it was Penelope, who had a yellow and green dress on, alongside her parents who were seemingly waiting for them outside their house.

Harold: "Is this Penelope son?"

Clyde: "(With a full red face) Yes it is."

Penelope: "(Looking down while blushing a little) Hello Clyde. That's a nice tux you have on."

Clyde: "Why thank you P-Penelope, and I must say you look really beautiful tonight."

Hearing this, Penelope's face turned really red, but she had a smile on her face.

Penelope: "Why t-thank you Clyde."

Remembering that he had the two bouquets of flowers, he picked up the one with roses and gave it to the alien loving, glasses wearing girl.

Clyde: "Here Penelope, I got these for you."

Penelope: "Thanks Clyde. These are beautiful."

Penelope's Dad, who's known as Joe, spoke up.

Joe: "Please take care of my daughter, Clyde."

Clyde: "Don't worry, I will."

Penelope's Mom who is known as Zoey, also spoke up.

Zoey: "Be sure to bring her home by 8:30pm."

Harold: "We will."

With that, Clyde opened up the car door for Penelope so she could get in. Penelope waved goodbye to her parents, who waved back at her, wishing her to have a good time with Clyde as she was being driven away with her date by her dates' fathers.

Now that Penelope is with them, it was off to Haiku's house to get her on the date too. After awhile, they made to Haiku's house after seeing Haiku, who was wearing a black and purple dress and was busy reading a magazine outside her house alongside her parents, Noah and Emily respectively.

Howard: "Is this her Clyde?"

Clyde: "(With hearts in his eyes and his face still red) Oh y-y-yeah."

Haiku puts her magazine away and gets in Clyde's car.

Haiku: "(With red cheeks) H-Hello Clyde, you look nice."

Clyde: "T-Thank you Haiku, you look amazing yourself. Here you go."

Clyde gives Haiku the bouquet of purple flowers, causing her to blush even more, she then smiled a little. Haiku waves goodbye to her parents, who waved back at her, wishing her to have a good time with Clyde and to be home by 8:30pm as she was being driven away with her date by her dates' fathers. After a few turns at left and right respectively, they made it to the restaurant: Buffet House.

Buffet House, 6:00pm...

Harold: "Alright you three, we're here."

Clyde, Haiku and Penelope unbuckle their seatbelts and got out of the car.

Howard: "Remember to call us if anything goes wrong, Clyde."

Clyde: "I will Dad, don't worry."

With that said, Clyde's Dads drove off with Clyde, Penelope and Haiku waving them goodbye. Once they were out of sight, the boy and his two dates looked towards the Buffet House, the place for their date.

Clyde: "Well, shall we ladies?"

Haiku: "Why yes Clyde."

Penelope: "Lead the way."

Clyde, with Penelope on one arm and Haiku on the other one, was blushing at the close contact he was getting as were Haiku and Penelope as the three of begin to walk towards the restaurant. Taking his time, he looked at his two dates and took his time to realize just how beautiful they were, and with Penelope and Haiku, they looked back at him and they realize just how handsome he is. When they got to the entrance, Clyde, let go of his two dates and without looking at his surroundings and was sweating nervously, opened the door but he accidentally slammed the door into Penelope and Haiku's faces, knocking them to the ground, causing them to yell out in pain. This caused Clyde to looked back at them in concern.

Clyde: "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry you two! I didn't mean to hurt you girls! Are you two okay?!"

Penelope: "Ugh, yeah I'm fine Clyde. No worries."

Haiku: "I'm okay too Clyde. We know you didn't mean to hit us with the door. Accidents happen."

Clyde helped them back on their feet and opened the door, holding it open for them.

Clyde: "Ladies first."

Penelope: "Thank you Clyde."

Haiku: "Such a gentleman."

The two girls walked into the restaurant, with Clyde walking in behind them. After registering themselves a table, they go to it and Clyde pulls out Penelope and Haiku's chairs, but to his surprise, his chair was also pulled out by the girls as well.

Clyde: "Oh, uh, thank you girls."

Penelope: "No t-thank you Clyde."

Haiku: "It's only f-fair for us to be polite as w-well"

After a few moments of blushing, stuttering, and awkward silence between all three parties, they sat down and looked at their menus for what they were going to order. After a few minutes of deciding on what to order, a waiter came to their table and asked them what they would to order. For Clyde, he ordered some spaghetti with two meatballs and tomato sauce, for Penelope, she ordered some salad with ranch dressing, and finally for Haiku, she ordered a plate of sausages with mustard and ketchup. With their orders written down, the waiter walked away to the kitchen to inform the chefs of the three way daters orders. As they waited, Clyde decided to start up a conversation with Haiku and Penelope to pass the time.

Clyde: So Penelope, Haiku, how are things at your homes?"

Penelope: "Oh f-fine Clyde, really fine."

Haiku: "Fine, how about you?"

Clyde: "Fine, so what do you girls like?"

Haiku: "Well as I told you during the Sadie Hawkins's Dance, I'm fascinated by poetry, blood sausages, vampires, shadow puppetry, chocolate, the Morticians Club, and the tv show "The Vampires of Melancholia"."

Penelope: "For me Clyde, I like taking care of that egg with you while we were paired up for that egg caring project that one time, aliens, chess, playing with my banjo, and the boy band "Boys Will Be Boys". What about you?"

Clyde was hesitant and embarrassed to answer, which didn't go unnoticed by his dates.

Penelope: "Clyde, you feeling okay? Did I say something wrong?"

Haiku: "You don't have to answer if you don't want to."

Clyde: "No, no, it's not that, it's just... some of the stuff I like is a little... embarrassing."

Penelope: "Don't worry Clyde, if it's embarrassing, I won't judge you or tell anyone."

Haiku: "Neither will I. What is said on our date stays between us."

Clyde: "Really? Well, okay, but remember you asked for it." (Takes a deep breath before starting) "I'm a huge fan of Blarney the Dinosaur, like I know all the songs by heart. I also like doing taxes with my parents, I like cats, picnics, I like to cosplay and act, I like video games, comic books, hacky sack, science fiction movies, I like Bluebell cookies, full-sized candy bars, I like the band SMOOCH, I like tv shows ARGGH! and Dessert Storm, I like baseball, badminton, perfect attendance, snickerdoodles, meatball subs, pop music, techno music, and all sorts of antiques."

Haiku: "Wow, that's so deep Clyde."

Penelope: "Yeah, that's also a lot of stuff."

Clyde: "Well I have a lot of things that I like. Everyone likes somethings... or someone (blushes a little)."

Penelope giggled and Haiku had a small smile on her face. Penelope puts her hand on one of Clyde's shoulders and Haiku did the same to Clyde's other shoulder before Penelope spoke up.

Penelope: "Well I like you too Clyde."

Haiku nodded to confirm her feelings as well as the waiter from earlier returns with the trio's food, to which they thanked him before he walked away. Unbeknownst to the trio as they were eating, over at another table two meters across from them, three hooded, disguised figures were watching them.

?: (Whispering) "Why are we doing this again boss?"

?: (Whispering) "It's because we're going to use all of McBride's likes against him my friend."

?: (Whispering) "Yeah, also seeing his best friend embarrassed and emotionally crushed with his date soon to be ruined and soon the public embarrassment afterward will force Larry to accept our demands."

?: (Whispering) "Exactly, now all we have do is wait for them to leave, follow them, wait till they're alone, and that's when we strike."

The three disguised hoodlums continued to watch their targets as they finished eating, and were just talking and paid for their food when they received the receipt with their money given to them from their respective parents.

Clyde: "Well, I'm full. So, you two want to go to the park so we can walk our meals off? It should be a really nice night out tonight."

Haiku: "Why of course, Clyde."

Penelope: "Sounds like the perfect way to end our night. Let's do it!"

Clyde, Penelope, and Haiku all got up from their seats, pushed them in, and began to walk their way out of the Buffet House, and when they got to the exit, this time however, Penelope and Haiku held the door open for Clyde. Needless to say, the African American nerd was a bit surprised but ultimately happy that his two dates were returning the same gesture to him when the three of them first got there. (Except without accidentally slamming the door in his face.)

Now that the three were out the restaurant, they proceeded to walk toward the park, unaware that they were being followed.

Royal Woods Park, 7:00pm...

Clyde, Penelope, and Haiku arrived at the park, hand in hand. They all looked up at night sky. It was full moon out that night.

Clyde: "Wow, it's so nice out here."

Penelope: "So lovely."

Haiku: "You know guys, they say that a good night is being out in the moonlight, but the night is being out in the moonlight with those you care about."

The three of them blushed a little as they continued to slowly walk through the park, basking in moonlight and being blissfully unaware that they were followed by three hooded disguised individuals. However, they weren't the only ones in darken park, as in a incredibly far off bench, out of earshot, another group of three, consisting of Clyde's three other friends, Liam, Zach, and Rusty respectively, were talking amongst each other and saw the trio on their date.

Rusty: (Whispering) "Is that Clyde?"

Zach: (Whispering) "And is Haiku and Penelope with him too?"

Liam: (Whispering) "Two girls at once. Congrats dude."

As the three boys were silently congratulating their friend for his date, they suddenly saw the three hooded goons that were following them not to far behind, and they instantly knew that trouble was going to come to Clyde, Penelope, and Haiku if they didn't do something. Looking at each other with determination in their eyes. They came to their decision and started to crack their knuckles.

Rusty: (Whispering) "If those hooded jerks thinks their ruining this for Clyde, Penelope, and Haiku-"

Liam: (Whispering) "-they've got another thing coming."

Zach: (Whispering) "Let's do this dudes."

With that got up and off the bench they were sitting on and up ran as fast as they could to assist their friends in their unknown time of need. Meanwhile, with Clyde Penelope, and Haiku, the three of them were sitting on a bench, looking up at the night sky.

Penelope: "This was a really nice night guys."

Haiku: "What makes it even more nice Penelope is we're with Clyde."

Clyde: "What makes it even more nice is that you girls help make this nice night a reality."

Penelope: "Well, we should thank you for asking us out Clyde."

Clyde: "Well, I should thank you girls for accepting my invitation."

Haiku: "I wished this night didn't have to end."

Clyde: "Sadly Haiku it has to. It's all about moving forward."

Penelope: "Move forward and don't look back."

Haiku giggled a little bit and she and Penelope looked at Clyde with love in their eyes and a smile on their faces and the nerd likewise looked back at the two also with love in his eyes and a smile on his face. Lost in the moment, they slowly leaned in towards each other, the world lost around them, just one boy and his two girls, in love. But before they could lean anymore closer and seal the deal, reality came back at them full force as they suddenly found themselves being pushed off the bench that they were sitting on and onto the ground roughly. Getting a moment to regain their bearings, they looked behind them and saw the three hooded people, who pulled off their hoods to themselves as Chandler and his two friends Milo and Kevin.

Chandler: (Sarcastic) "Oh I'm sorry. Were we interrupting something?"

Clyde: "Oh for the love of all that is good, what do you three jerks want?!"

Instead of responding to the African American nerd, he, Penelope, and Haiku suddenly found themselves being tackled to the ground, with Kevin holding Clyde down, Milo holding Haiku down, and finally Chandler holding Penelope down.

Chandler: "We just want to ruin your date and this is the best way to do so." (Looks down at Penelope) "By taking your girls FIRST KISS!"

The three held down trio's eyes widened in horror as Clyde tried desperately to get Kevin off of him but he was too fat to be moved. Penelope shook her head from one side to the other, which quickly ended as Chandler roughly grabbed her by her cheeks and forced to watch as Chandler slowly descended to her face, his lips fully puckered up. Same with Haiku, who was also forced to to watch as Milo, with his lips also puckered up, slowly descend his face towards Haiku's lips. But before Chandler and Milo could kiss Penelope and Haiku and ruin Clyde's and their own night, they, along with Kevin, found themselves being tackled off the trio and onto the by Rusty, Liam, and Zach. Chandler, Milo and Kevin found themselves being held down by Liam, Zach and Rusty respectively.

Zach: "Leave them you Rich Bully!"

Liam: "Yeah, pick on someone your own size!"

Clyde: Liam, Rusty, Zach, thanks for the save, but what are you guys doing here?"

Rusty: "No time to explain Clyde. Run! And take your dates with you!"

Liam: "Also congrats on two girls at once dude."

Clyde: "Thanks, but what about you guys? We can't just leave you here."

Zach: "Don't worry about us Clyde, we can handle this. Just get Penelope and Haiku out of here! Don't try to argue with us okay, just go! Now!

Clyde felt conflicted but ultimately decided not to argue with his friends and did as he was told. Helping the two girls up by their hands, he took them and the three of them ran as fast as could out of the park. Chandler and his friends finally got the three redheaded trio off of them. Glaring at them with anger, Chandler spoke.

Chandler: "You three dorks are going to pay for this. (Cracks his knuckles.)"

Rusty: "Yeah, well you gonna pay for ruining Clyde's night! (Cracks his knuckles)"

With that said, the two groups charged one another.

Haiku's House, 7:30pm...

Clyde, Penelope, and Haiku arrived at Haiku's house, which had the outside on and stopped under a lamppost, breathing heavily to catch their breath, after a few moments, Clyde spoke.

Clyde: "Are you two okay? I'm sorry, I didn't realize Chandler and his friends were following us! I should've watched our surroundings! I-woah!"

Clyde was cut off by Penelope and Haiku wrapping their arms around him in a hug, with smile and blush on their faces. Clyde was a bit shocked but quickly got over it and wrapped his arms around them as well, sealing the hug. No of the three made a sound, the sound that was heard was the crickets chirping in distance. The hug went on for a few moments before Haiku and Penelope broke it.

Haiku: "You don't have to be sorry Clyde. You didn't know that Chandler was following us."

Penelope: "Yeah, but there's something I think we should know, why was Chandler and his jerks after you? I don't think it was just to ruin our night."

Clyde, though a little hesitant to share this information, remember what Haiku said earlier back at the Buffet House about what is said staying between the three of them, asked a question of his own.

Clyde: "Well, do you girls that Lincoln's mom and three of his older sisters were sent to prison for destroying the Royal Woods Dental building?"

The two girls nodded and Clyde continued.

Clyde: "Well his and his two other older sisters got into a car accident and are now hospitalized. Both of these situations cost 1,000 dollars each."

Both girls gasped after hearing this.

Penelope: "So Lincoln's all by himself?!"

Haiku: "Dark."

Clyde: "No, no, no, of course not! He's watching his five younger sisters."

Penelope: "Ok, but who's watching them."

Clyde: "His next door neighbor Mr. Grouse."

Hearing that filled the two females with relief.

Clyde: "Now because Lincoln's parents and older sisters' situation have been plastered all over the news, Chandler and his friends also found out and they've been bugging and threatening me to give them free stuff like before at Gus' Game n' Grub. What's he and his friends nearly did tonight showed us that they're getting pretty desperate. I'll be sure two tell Lincoln about this when I'll get back to his place."

Haiku: "Oh yeah, speaking of tonight..."

The goth walked up the nerd and quickly pecked him on the lips. She pulled back with a blush on her face.

Haiku: "Consider that a thank you for the date. Goodnight you two. See you tomorrow Clyde. You too Penelope."

With that, Haiku turned around and walked into her house. Clyde turned to Penelope.

Clyde: "So, want me to walk you home?"

Penelope: "(Giggles) Of course."

With her hand in his, Clyde and Penelope began walking toward the latter's house. During their walk, Clyde called his Dads and told them that their date went well until they got to the park, which he also told them, overall, he told pick him up at Penelope's house. Nothing else was said as the two walked to Penelope's house in silence.

Penelope's house, 8:00pm

When Clyde and Penelope's place, they found that not was Penelope's outside light was on, but also Clyde's Dads waiting for him inside their car.

Penelope: "I hope Lincoln gets the 2,000 dollars needed."

Clyde: "Me too, see you tomorrow Penelope."

Clyde turned to leave but stopped when he felt Penelope grabbed his hand.

Penelope: "Wait Clyde, I just want you to know that if there's anything that me and Haiku could do to help Lincoln's financial issues, just let us know. Okay?"

Clyde: "Ok, sure thing."

With that, Clyde turned his head to Penelope and quickly found his lips on hers. After a few seconds, Penelope pulled back with a smile and blush on her face.

Penelope: "Thanks for the date Clyde. See you tomorrow."

Penelope turned around and walked into her house. Clyde, still blushing and shell shocked from being kissed twice in the same night, wobblingly walked to his Dads' car and got into it. Howard drove him back to Lincoln's house.

OMG! Finally got this done! This chapter was hard to write. I apologize for that month hiatus. Hope this makes up for it. See you later.
