Drama Club Love
Chapter 10
(Edited)
Ally's POV
Dallas continues to drag me through the school parking lot until we stop in front of a vintage Cadillac. And it was beautiful. Dallas lets go of my hand and motions to the car, "This is my one and only, the love of my life, Donna."
I gasp as I see the car shine in the sunlight, "Wow.."
"I know right, she's a-"
I cut him off because I already know, "1975 Cadillac Coupe Deville."
"Exactly, how'd you know?"
"My dad, he was into cars before he opened the music store. He originally wanted to be a mechanic, I guess I kind of absorbed his car knowledge."
"So do you wanna take her to the streets then?" He dangles the keys in front of me, waiting for me to take them.
I clear my throat,"No, I couldn't. She's in such good condition...I just, no."
"Things like this only happen once in your life."
I take my attention away from the car and look at Dallas, he's got this smirk on his face, kind of cheeky and sly. And I can't help but smile at it.
"Okay." I grab the keys from Dallas' hand and excitedly get in the drivers' side of the car. It smells like cologne in the car, like really good cologne.
Dallas gets in the car on the passengers' side, I ask him,"What's that smell? It smells like cologne."
"That's because it is, Cadillac de Coupe cologne to be exact."
"Don't tell me the car comes with its own cologne!"
"Yeah, when I bought her it came free with purchase."
"Shut up!"
"I'm kidding, I bought the cologne online. Really?
The car comes with cologne?"
"It's not that far of a stretch..."
"Just drive."
Austin's POV
I wonder where he's taking her...well it doesn't matter she went with him so wherever they went it has to be somewhere she wanted to go. She'll be happy, she is happy. Why did I really think she actually wanted to be friends, maybe even more than that. Why did I think that I could ever have a future with her?
I don't even have a future.
Ally's POV
"Okay now turn right," Dallas is giving me directions to where we need to go. I don't even know why I'm with him right now, but I get to drive this beautifully awesome car, so in a way it's kind of worth it.
"Now make a left, and pull into this parking lot up ahead."
"Dallas are you sure? This parking lot right here?"
"Yes I'm sure just park." I pull into the parking lot and find and empty spot and stop the car.
"Dallas..."
"Yes my sweet." He turns to me with an endearing look on his face.
"This is a bowling alley."
"Yes it is, but...they also have the best fro-yo and I have a coupon." He pulls a Mr. Froggy's Fro-Yo coupon out of his front pocket and gives it to me with a smile.
"Great.." I can't even bowl, and isn't fro-yo the same exact thing as ice cream?
Dallas hops out of the car and walks over to my side to open the door for me.
"My lady.." He holds the door, waiting for me to get out of the car but I stay seated. My seat belt is still on. Dallas then reaches over me to unbuckle my seat belt, he clicks my seat belt to remove it and as he moves back, he does so slowly. Making sure our faces are no more than 5 inches apart. I can feel his breath on my face, and I notice he looks down at my lips. I won't lie and say I didn't look at his, and the second I thought he was going to lean in and kiss me, he removes his head from the car.
Continuing to hold the door open he says, "Well, c'mon, time waits for no one."
I get out of the car, and he doesn't move, when I stand our bodies press together. Once again as I look up at him I notice he looks at my lips, I see in his eyes what seems to be a spark of lust. And even though it kind of feels good to be wanted, I step away from Dallas and start walking into the bowling alley.
If Dallas wants me, he's going to have to work for it.
Just like I have to work for Austin.
