Chapter 10: The Heartbreaker

Tori Vega

Jade West

Beck Oliver

David Farnsworth

Disclaimers: I do NOT OWN VicTORIous. The name clearly is not Dan Schnider... OR IS IT?! JKJKJKJK, seriously, I own nothing but my plot and text and OC.

"Wow, the mall's pretty crowded today." David said, grabbing Tori's hand while they crossed the road to get to the entrance.

"It is alot of people..." The brunette confirmed, her eyes roaming over many people entering and exiting the Sacramento mall.

"Notice all the teenagers, Vega?" Jade added in, slipping on her sunglasses, her facial expression as stoic as ever.

Now that Jade mentioned it, Tori did happen to notice all of the teenage girls entering the mall. It seemed to be overpopulated with absentminded, perky and energetic-full-of-piss-and-vinegar adolescents.

By the time they're inside, Tori, Jade and David are greeted by cool air, the sound of people talking and constant chatter; they could tell that over a thousand people were in this mall.

"Okay, first of all, Tori, this mall is way to big to be walking in." David blurts out. "Second of all, I really have to use the facilities. Go with creepy-goth-girl-"

"Watch it!" Jade angrily interrupts him, glaring those icy blue eyes of hers.

"Fine, Tori-babe, take Jade and go to a store to shop. Here's my credit card." He give the plastic to the brunette, kissing her on the cheek. "Text me what store you're in."

He walks toward somewhere in the mall and disappears after that.

"Tell me when you're done and I'll text you ," Tori mutters as she texts him what she just said. When she's done, she looks up, puts her phone away and points to a small area where a few people are gathered. "There's a map of the mall. Lets go check it out."

Tori and Jade both walk over there and examine the map. There were five sections to the mall, including an outside area with shops where Tori'd expect her sister Trina to shop at. Channel, Gucci, MCM, Prada, Coach and many other places.

"How's about we visit that store?"

Jade looked to where Tori was pointing to on the map and immediately grimaced. "Classy Friends?" - "Ew. How about we go there?"

The brunette's thin lips tugged into a frown. "Hot Topic? Jade, I want to go shopping for cute clothes."

Rolling her eyes, Jade sighs back to her, leaning all of her weight on one leg. "Cute clothes for what, Vega? To impress your creepy boyfriend?! Where did you two meet anyways?"

Gulping hard, Tori sheepishly grins and fixes her purse straps on her left shoulder. "L-Let's just go shopping in Hot Topic."

After browsing through different stores and meeting back up with David, he proposed an idea.

"Hey, Tori and Jade, let's check out that store, Pink Ice. I hear they're having a great sale."

Jade, stopped in her tracks and sighs, "I've had enough shopping." She holds up her numerous numbers of bags from different stores. "I'm craving some coffee now. Vega, let's hit the food court."

Tori glances at Jade and then to David. "Dave, how about after we get some to ea-"

"Tori, babe I really am not happy you hardly brought anything. I told you I'll pay... Let's please go to Pink Ice?" He stepped close to her, staring into her eyes and puckering out his bottom lip.

Tori grinned, shrugging her shoulders but not before giving her raven haired friend a pleading look.

Icy blue eyes met with chocolate brown eyes. Chocolate brown eyes met with icy blue eyes. And icy blue eyes glared into blue-green, eyes.

"Fuck it." - "Let's go to stupid Pink Ice."

Tori's POV

"Wow, Dave the check out line is so long..." I sighed to myself, looking down at the two tops I had in my hand, hoping to buy them.

One was a pink, long sleeved blouse and it was covered in glittery material. I thought it'd look cute with some light blue jeans and maybe a bit off the shoulder.

And the other was this flower-patterned, spaghetti strap blouse that had small fluffs at the bottom. I usually remember seeing my old friend Cat wearing tops like these, so I thought, why not try it out?

After all, there was a huge sale going on. These two shirts together were just fifteen bucks.

I turned back to look at Jade with the most annoyed expression engraved in her face. She didn't even come in the store. Instead, she stood at the entrance, leaned against the wall, with her black circle-framed shades concealing her eyes.

Anyone could tell how much she hated this store... Her perfectly arched eyebrows narrowed so far; any father and they my just run over her eyes.

I shook my head at her, snickering just a bit and then I shortly waved to my college professor and "boyfriend", David who went to stand next to her, only just to be shut down.

Jade took a long stride to the right, stepping away from him.

I smiled at how they acted towards each other.

"Excuse, are you in the line for the autographs or-"

I look to my left to see a teenage girl and her two friends, peeking from behind her. "Line for what?" I questioned, tilting my head to the side.

What could they be talking about?

One of her friends with purple highlights stepped forward and sassed, "Like, the cast of Fractured are doing signings in this store... Didn't you hear about it?"

I blink twice. "The cast of Fractured...? Here?" I also gulp. 'Fractured' was one of the shows he was starring in. "Fractured as in Beck Oliver and Patricia Adams?" I blushed as my voice hitched the slightest at the mention of his name.

I also slightly shivered how just saying his name gave me tingles and how it danced on my tongue. Beck... couldn't be here... could he?

"Well, yeah... that Fractured... as if there's even any other one!" The main teenager giggled.

I rolled my brown eyes as the other two joined in and sighed in content at the same damn time.

"But, Beck is totally here. He's going to sign my wrist and then we're like taking pictures together and I'm going to-"

As if I was a robot, I stood on my tip-toes to see over the lind of different people. Teenage boys and girls, a couple of kids and adults here and there. No wonder the mall was crowded.

No wonder this line was huge.

No wonder the check out line was... this wasn't even the check out line.

I stepped out the line, walking right up the front.

"Excuse me ma'am, there is a line-" I didn't even listen to the big, bulky security guard warning and trying to stop me.

I didn't listen to crowd of teens and whoever protesting at what I was doing.

Instead, I walked right up the the front of the table he where and she sat, signing some little girl's notebook. I grimaced as he shook her hand and smiled a flashy, toothy grin, laughing at something she said. I felt so hurt when he grabbed his co-star's hand and she leaned her head on his shoulder, while the little pre-teen girl took a picture of them.

When she left, I stepped forward, ignoring the yelling, angry teenager tapping me on the back.

The look on his face was stoic.

Beck smiled.

He ripped a piece of paper from a note pad and clicked his pen, looking up at me. "And who do I make this out to?"

I was silent, ignoring the security guards trying to tell me to leave.

"No... It's fine." I hear Beck say. His voice ringing in my head.

"And we're hear live from the West Sacramento mall, with the cast of Fractured having a meet and greet in the local store called Pink Ice. That's right, folks. Sacramento was lucky to be chosen as one of the seven spots in Cali for the team of amazing actors and actresses to do signings! In order to qualify, you must be subscribed to Pink Ice's monthly catalog." A news reporter covering the store said into her microphone.

Her cameraman panned the camera to the table where Beck and she sat and where I stood just looking at him.

Like a deer caught in the headlights.

"... How's about, Beck Oliver you promised to call, but didn't. You left me hanging and broke my heart?!" I say, my voice cracking and tears starting to roll down my cheeks.

All he does is turn to Patricia Adams. She knits her eyebrows together and snickers, signing her name at the bottom of the paper. "Okay. Here you go, ma'am."

She slowly slides it towards me, shrugging her shoulders. "You now have the option to take a pictur-"

"I-It's okay..." I lowly say, picking up the paper and slowly walking away.

Normal POV

"Look there's Tori." Jade says, stepping into the store, but not before shuddering a bit. She rolls her eyes at David before waving him forward to meet Tori with her. "Not too close." She seethes.

David smirks, shaking his head. "Glad to know you warmed up to me."

"Whatever." Jade shrugs as she approaches Tori, her hair concealing her face. "Vega, did you pay for your crap?"

The young professor stepped forward, sighing, "See, now I'm going to start calling you creepy-goth-girl every time you sass my Tori." He touched Tori's shoulder, stroking it in a comforting way.

"Tori-babe? Did you pay for your sexy clothes?"

The brunette looked up, causing her friend-ish friend Jade to take off her shades and step back a little. David gasped and immediately flooded her with different questions.

"Vega." Jade simply said, her voice as calm and collected as ever.

"Tori, what happened?" David joined in, licking his lips and narrowing his eyes.

Sniffling up her tears, the brunette couldn't respond to either of them.

"Vega, you better answer me or so help- you know what?" She forcefully grabbed her hand, pushing her way through the line. "What the hell happen he-"

"... Jade?"

Jade's icy blue eyes widened and she let go of Tori, taking a small step forward.

"Beck."

"Hey! You're cutting the line an-"

"Listen here, groupie. You better keep your mouth shut or I'll clamp it up for you!" The raven haired beauty shouted so loud that it caught the attention of the reporter, and the full crowd gathered in the store.

Jade turned back to Beck, crossing her arms over her chest and she grimaced. "What the fuck did you do to Tori?!"

The news reporter nudged her cameraman to make sure that he got it all on camera as Beck Oliver stood up, walking away from the table and over to Jade.

"Hey." He shrugged his shoulders. "I didn't know you cared for her." - "And I did nothing to Tori." He looked at Tori, her eyes red from tears and her hands balled tightly at her sides. "Tori, sorry I didn't call you okay? I'm a busy working man. Besides, we're just friends anyways."

Tori was about to protest but Jade held her hand up, silencing her. "What the hell do you mean, just friends?! What's going on, Beck?"

"Jade, you and I broke up. This doesn't concern you." He turned to Tori, rolling his dark eyes and roams his fingers through his shoulder length, thick and curly hair. "Tori, listen I'm sorry if this hurts you in any way but-"

The brunette shook her head and dropped the clothes she had in her hands, running over to him and punching him with all of her strength, in the mouth.

The crowd gasped, as Beck flew back into the table, holding his mouth. When he moved the hand that held his mouth, little drops of blood coated his palm.

"Oh my God!" Patricia screamed, rushing over to him, and cupping his bleeding mouth as a way to soothe. "Who the hell do you think you are?!"

Jade said back to her, stepping forward, "You keep quiet, bitch." - "I remember you... I remember you leaving my fucking apartment at three in the morning." Jade crouched down to her level, looking her in the eyes. "Remember me? Jade West?"

Patricia's green eyes widened and she shrugged back into the table, shaking with fear. "Y-You..."

Nothing more could be said because the brunette Vega sister lunged herself forward, tackling Beck back to the floor as he regained his form. She bashed his face with her clenched fists, crying and screaming at him, while he tried his best to block her hits and get her off of him.

"You're a liar! You're a cheater!" The security guard yanked her off of him, making the crowd of teenagers and people cheer. "Y-You're a heartbreaker Beck Oliver and I hate you!" She screamed, as the bulky security guard dragged her away from the beaten and bewildered young actor.

Tori let her body go limp right after she finished saying what she had to say and she was thrown into her college professor's arms, who caught her in an instant, stroking her now wild brunette locks to calm her down.

Jade was tapped on the shoulder by the same security guard who escorted Tori and David out. Ignoring him, she gave one final glance to the spooked Patricia Adams and then turned to Beck who was now standing with an icepack held to his cheek and a gauge bandage pressed to a cut on his lower lip.

"So... you not only did it to me... but you did it Tori too, huh?" She nodded her head, letting a lone tear fall from her eye. "Beck Oliver you have sunk so low."

She took her shades and put them back on her face, concealing her eyes that burned with a raging fire.

Jade West turned her back to him, his cast of actors and his co-star, walking out the store like nothing happened just to join her high school friend Tori Vega and her boyfriend, David Farnsworth.

Jade picked up her shopping bags, motioning to them to follow her and without a word or lip to say anything, they did.

.

. .

.

"You know..." Jade started to say, stirring her coffee after adding some cream to it, "Some how, I think you planned this all out." She looked at David with intruding eyes, ripping open a package of sugar and pouring into her coffee mixture.

David gulped before looking back at Tori who was waiting for her food to arrive. He leaned his elbows on the table, sighing heavily before retorting, "Well, you're right. My cards are out on the table. I knew he'd be here so I brought her..."

Jade was silent, taking a sip of her coffee, exhaling as well. "... I'd have to say... that's the coolest thing you've done since I've met you."

David winked his eyebrows up and nodded. "Well, thanks Jade." - "I just really card for Tori and he was hurting her. She couldn't fully focus on me because he was in the way. She still thought about him regardless if he stopped caring for her or even never cared at all!"

Jade nodded, taking a bit from her bagel and a gulp from her coffee. "That's understandable." - "Now... why don't you tell me who you really are, David Farnsworth. And spare the lies about being nineteen and all that extra bullshit you two tried to feed me."

Wow, Tori. Just dammnnnnn!
